My ad (Charlotte NC area) has the following additional items B2G3 that are shown in this list as just being on sale. Green Giant Frozen Veg. 10oz. shows $1.95 each at my store makes it $.78 each for 5. Barilla Pasta Sauce, Barilla Penne and Spaghetti, Pillsbury Toaster Strudel or Pancakes. If you use Express Lane on HT website to check prices and look at the Sales and Circular, when you click on an item like the B2G3 or B1G1 it brings up all the items included and their price. So Cool, makes checking to see if it’s really a deal so easy.

      • Audrey

At my HT Barilla Sauce was buy 3 get 2 free and the pasta was buy 2 get 3 free. The pasta wasn’t limited to Penne and Spaghetti. It included rainbow, bow tie, elbow and many others. I walked out with 5 sauces and 5 pastas for under $5. This was using $1 off pasta and sauce x3 (my store super doubles every Wednesday). It was a great deal.

    • snowdogmom

Jenny, what area’s ad to use for this list. I know your in Columbia SC which I don’t think has any HT’s so I would think you would use the Charlotte NC area ad as that would be fairly close. However our prices are always more than what you have listed. Example the Green Giant Frozen Vegs. you have as $1.89. For us they are $1.95 and are actually B2G3. Just curious what area’s ad you use.

      • staceyhamrick

Just a suggestion, but you could log in to Harris Teeter and check your local ad before you go. Grocery prices are like gas prices they can change 5 miles down the road. Think about the gas prices in NC and SC HUGE DIFFERENCE. I live in the Asheville area and many things cost more here.

        • snowdogmom

I understand there are differences regionally and even stores within a few miles from each other. I do check my prices before going to shop using my local stores Express Lane. All I was asking is which area Jenny based her list on. I was just curious. It was not meant as a slam about the accuracy of the list. Jenny does a great job.

          • staceyhamrick

Wasn’t implying that it was an insult.

    • Ed in NC

Speaking of ad differences, the Super Doubles was a bust this week. Most of the printable $2 coupons printed as $1. Many items were not on sale in High Point, such as Keri lotion, Jimmy Dean Delights, Biz, etc. In fact these items were about double the price listed by Southern Savers. I have noticed that the Winston-Salem and Greensboro Harris Teeter ads are completely different (at least on the few times that I have seen both ads in the same week).

      • NCook

Sorry you didn’t have much luck Ed. I’m in the Nashville area and have made trips to HT 6 of the 7 days for Super Doubles. Saved OVER $500 this week and spent less than $100. Hope it goes better for you soon!

        • Audrey

Which store do you use in Nashville? Does your store SD every Wed?

          • spi_cy13

All Nashville area HT’s do Super Doubles every Wednesday. Quite frankly, I prefer the monthly Super Doubles because each store runs out of stock way too quickly.

      • mtmkjr

I’m surprised it was not sucessful for you. this was one of the best SD’s I’ve seen in a long time. I used my 20 coupon limit every single day, and had an oop of just $67.82 (that’s an average of $.48 each item, and doesn’t take into account non-coupon items like produce etc…)

    • miranda

The previous concerns are why i clip my coupons and keep them in my hinder. I dont think .10 or so is a big deal. Jenny is doing me a great service, so when I get to the store and the price is different than what she quoted, i just roll with it.

    • Southern Bell

Jenny’s doing a fabulous job! Regional price differences are really not a big deal when we look at the big picture. I started couponing a few months ago in Jan 2013 for Harris Teeter’s Super Double. Using Jenny’s list, I paid $25 for over $300 in purchases. I know I saved even more during this past week’s Super Double!! Thanks Jenny!

agreed! i just started too, and you need to tell me how you managed that. I have tried but still paid more then that.

        • Niki Black

It’s multiple coupons. Not just one or two papers a week but also buying coupons online also.

          • TSmith

But where can you buy coupons online..and doesn’t HT only allow you to use 20 at a time?

            • bk

I use ebay or SundayCouponInserts.com. Yes, you can only use 20 at a time but you can go 7 times per week so that’s what I usually do during SD’s.

    • Raynesmw

I can tell you that there are stores within 15 miles of each other that will have different ads. Salisbury NC often has diifferent ads than Concord NC. Not always, but sometimes. I can even check the express lane for Poplar Tent Store and get to the Concord Parkway store and prices will vary. It seems their ads are very regional. Yes, I clip all my coupons for this very reason. Sometimes, this works out to the good b/c you can get different deals at different stores. I, too, am very thankful for the lists.

    • Olga Rozman

I’m up here in Maryland and the prices listed on the site are usually identical to what we have in my stores. Sometimes a B1G1 is a B2G3 but the deals listed are usually spot on. Sometimes my store doesn’t have the right price tag so I just check the prices with the cashier or at customer service.

    • Mandylou

For me in Nashville TN the ad is a week behind the deals listed are usually for the week before I just started couponing about a month ago . It’s been quite confusing ….it’s only with ht though public and Kroger match up perfectly. Regardless i have saved a ton of money just wondering if anyone had any insight! Thanks for all you do you guys are truly great!

      • NCook

Mandylou, don’t know if you shop only one area HT but I go to either Brentwood or Bellemeade. The prices at the two stores are different! Example: Franks Hot Sauce. The large bottle in Brentwood was $1.49 on Monday. Tonight at BM it was only the little bottle that was $1.49. The large ones were over $3. Prices vary from store to store! Shop around. You can always look up prices at BM by using the Express Lane.

      • spi_cy13

Hey Mandylou and NCook, I found out from HT Customer Service (Hillsboro Village/21st Ave S.) yesterday that they are having Super Doubles again on Wednesday (Feb. 27)-one day only! Honestly, I can’t stand when they do this because it’s like “Black Friday shopping” on a Wednesday. They will be doing this for a while…

        • NCook

THANKS!!!! Brought my book to work! Honestly about tired of shopping though! LOL

        • NCJen

whaat? why would they do a SD for one day only?

          • kpmom

They have actually been doing Super Doubles every Wednesday since the beginning of the year. So, it’s Super Doubles up to $2.00 every Wednesday at the HT in Nashville/Brentwood. If you look at their flier, it is advertised in their daily deals on Wednesday.

    • KristenMD

At my store in Maryland, we have a “meal deal”: one 16 oz. Harris Teeter Spaghetti, one 24 oz. Harris Teeter Pasta Sauce, one 14 oz. Cooked Perfect Meatballs, and one 12 oz. Harris Teeter Fresh Foods Market Dinner Rolls for $5.99. If you can use coupons with “meal deals” (?? sorry, I’m somewhat new to HT!) I think you could use the Cooked Perfect meatballs coupon from SS 1/20 or SS 1/27 to get this deal for $4.99.
There are also varieties of Hormel chili with beans on sale for $1.50. Don’t think there are any matching coupons, though!
We have a few price differences … Birds Eye frozen veggies (including SteamFresh) are half off, so most are around $1.25. Green Giant frozen veggies are also half-off, so most are around $1.10. Our evic for eggs is $1.27, not $0.97! ;)

Thanks so much for the awesome deals!!

      • Brooke

yes, you can use coupons with any of the meal deal items :)

    • aims

holly springs HT has B2G3 for Barilla pasta AND Sauce.

    • MissLTeesCoupons

Amazing that they have a meal deal that includes the 14 oz Cooked
Perfect meatballs today, but absolutely none in store as of 11 pm last
night! Stinks that they hold back stock so couponers can’t get deals.

      • KristenMD

I think the 14 oz meatballs were really cheap with super double coupons last week, so the store may not have re-stocked yet from that. Annoying!!

        • tiptip82

Yeah. They were $0.50 during Super Doubles so i bought 3 packs. They were sold out the first and third time that I went.

          • MerryMarch

the warehouse ran out. The stores try to order and re-stock everynight!!!

        • Niki Black

My store finally had the meatballs back today!!

      • snowman

I was told the super doubles were so crazy, the warehouse ran out of alot of the products. They don’t do it on purpose.

      • snowman

I was told the super doubles were so crazy, the warehouse ran out of alot of the products. They don’t do it on purpose.

      • paul

why in the heck would they hold back product when all they do is give out rain checks so you still get the same deals or they sub out an item if out on the meal deal and then the store doesnt get credit for the decline in price when the raincheck is used at a later date so it would hurt at the store level more by holding back product.

    • Crystal

Does anyone know if the HTs located close to the new Publix in Tega Cay, are stilll doing super doubles on Wednesday? Thanks

      • Katie

Yes and the store was empty

    • grame

My Harris Teeter weekly circular for 2/27-3/5 has the eggs for $1.27 a doz., not $.97.

      • The .97 price is the eVIC price. You need to be an eVIC member to get this price.

        • grame

I am an eVIC member and in my area the eVIC egg price is $1.27.

    • spi_cy13

Can someone tell me if this is correct or not:
I went to my local HT and used my BOGO free raincheck for the Purina 3.15 lb cat food (I don’t remember the true reg. price, but I’ll say it’s $5). My raincheck is for 2 bags of cat food. I picked up two. The cashier keyed in the cat food price as $5 for one bag and $0 for the other bag, rather than $2.50 for each bag. She scanned one $1/1 cat food coupon that I had, but she wouldn’t scan the other $1/1 cat food coupon because (in her own words) “you cannot use a coupon on a free item.” Please help! :/

      • Brooke

Oh yeah, I would definitely agree that that is wrong…. Anytime you buy a B1G1 item at HT, it should ring up at 1/2 price, whether you buy one item or 2. I have always been able to use 2 coupons when I buy 2 B1G1 items, and it’s never an issue. I’ve never used a raincheck for a B1G1 deal, so I am not sure what the official policy would be. Hope you get some help!

        • twoawilkes

Last week I used raincheck on pretzels B1G1F and she rang them up 1/2 price for each one. The raincheck allows you to get the item at the sale price and per their policy B1G!F items ring up at 1/2 price for each item. This is also advertised in their ads. Surprised the cashier was not more knowledgeable about this.

      • mtmkjr

When you use a BOGO rain check, they will scan one and put the other one as $0 as it happened for you. If you just buy one, they will put it through at 1/2 price. So they did that part correctly.

But telling you that you couldn’t use a coupon on the free one was incorrect. You could talk to the manager and if that doesn’t help, call corporate. The policy changed last year and they will accept coupons on the free items in a store promotion.

      • paul

the cashier rang it up that way because it is quicker than changing the price on both items and having to print on the rain check each time and possibly needing an override twice and you are most definitely allowed 2 coupons.

      • Becky

I tried buying 10 boxes of Barilla pasta on Wed, Super Doubles in my area. I wanted to use 3 $1/3 coupons, customer service manager said I could only use one coupon because I was only purchasing 4. I was bummed out and didn’t get any pasta.

        • Becky

          the pasta was B2G3

      • twellwoman

Not true! You should’ve argued it with them. Because that is how they ring it in with a raincheck, but they should still let you use both coupons. Look at their published coupon or raincheck policy. BEcause BOGO originally means each item rings up at half price, so that is the whole reason you get the raincheck so you can use it later with all your coupons.

    • savingsyea

Can someone tell me if you can use the coupons buy 2 get 3 free for example the frozen veg are buy 2 get 3 free put the coupon i have is 60 cent off 3. I’m a lil confused cause one lady told me you can not cause u are only paying for 2 you are not charged for the other 3 but I saw pep doing it yesterday …. But I don’t want the coupon police on me if this is not right lol ( i have been reading comments i have only been cp for a weeks)

      • mtmkjr

In the past, HT would not take coupons on the “free” items in a store program, whether it’s B2G3 or BOGO or any other similar.
That is no longer true, and you should be able to use 1 of those $.60/3 with the B2G3 sale. Or you could buy 10, and use 3 of those coupons for a better deal :)

        • Wendy Claborn

I was wondering for sure the same thing. I’m wanting to stock up on the b2g3 free toaster strudels. I want to use three.75/3 coupons since I plan on getting the limit of 10. The last time I tried to use a coupon towards a free one on the b2g3 free promotion the register wouldn’t take it off when they scanned it but they manually entered it anyways. I just wanted to know for sure.

      • Tara Kinman

I actually did this the other day. I bought the limit of 10 and used 3 coupons. The first two took and the third beeped, and the lady manually punched it in. She just made sure that I had 10 boxes. HTH.

      • Becky

So I was just at Harris Teeter in G’boro. One of my “buddies” that works there told me and I quote. “save them coupons, because we are doing super doubles again next week” I said “so soon” He said” I only know what I have been told, and I have been told Harris Teeter is doing it again next week” So I don’t know, but hopefully Jenny can get to the bottom of it….

Gosh I hope we count as piedmont, but I suspect Whispering Pines/ Aberdeen is part of the Raleigh area. I might have to road trip for that.

            • lovemychickens

I work for Harris Teeter and was told the same thing. I am waiting for the list to come out :) but the stores are out of stock on a lot of items so they “may” be a little empty. I won’t know what ours looks like till this evening

I am hearing very serious rumors of another Super Doubles next week! I know that sounds crazy, but my source is pretty reliable, she has always been right before.

      • Chery

This must be an old ad. But thanks for the coupons.

    • Palmettogirl

We should enjoy Harris Teeter while we can. If they sell the business, I am not sure it will be the same. I shop at HT at Carolina Commons and they treat you like they are glad you shop there. Don’t know if it would be the same at Publix or Stop n Shop

      • Cheryl

I love Harris Teeter and do all my shopping there. Can’t imagine not having this store. I love the employees at Charlotte’s Sardis store that I went to today. (Some of my Qs didn’t ring up but they did the override thing…they are always so nice there). and the Cotswold store is awesome too. I’ve never seen a Stop n Shop. We don’t have a Publix or a Stop n Shop in Charlotte.

Is something wrong with my printer, or has anyone else noticed their coupons looking a little different? The 3 that I’ve printed so far have 2 little white lines going through all the bar codes. Never seen that before. I still have plenty of ink. Just a little worried about them not taking at the register. Thanks.

    • ahughes

So, I’m a coupon newbie..if I have save $1.00 on 3 but you only purchase one..can you still use the coupon..if you divide the amount by 3 does it double? Sorry..I’m very new and very unaware =)

      • KristenMD

If you have a coupon that says save $1.00 on 3, you must buy 3 to use the coupon. If you only purchase one you can’t use the coupon.

    • Linda

Just a “heads up”…you listed the Purex coupon would be in today’s Sunday paper (3-03-13) in the Red Plum insert. I have looked several times and cannot find the coupon! Is there anywhere else I could get this coupon perhaps??

      • tali

The coupon was in one paper but not another for me. (I buy 2 diff paperrs)
