There are still some good deals at Kroger this week. A lot of those July and August coupons that expire later this month can be put to use this week for some less than $1 deals. Of course, we process our own meat, so all I ever buy are shelf and canned goods… depends on what you are looking for.

    • Patty

Anyone know if the Mega Event will continue this coming up week??

    • Mel1

What’s a good price per pound for sugar?  Is $1.59 for a 4 lb bag pretty good?  I don’t usually compare… just buy it when I need it.

      • guest

        That is a good price.

      • Janet

In my area, yes. My new target price is $1.88 for a 4 lb bag. I used to be able to get it frequently for $0.99, but thise days are long gone, it seems.

      • Mel1

Hmm… just printed it and it’s for “extra fine granulated sugar.”  I wonder if this is included or if my Kroger even carries this.  I wonder how this would compare when used for baking.

        • Cyndi

          Hey Mel,
As far as baking goes, the extra fine sugar works fine!  I had been using it for a while and didn’t even realize it.

          • Mel1

Awesome to know.  Thanks!  Now let’s just hope my Kroger carries it.  : )

        • Amcaldwel19

the store I went to today didn’t even sell dixie crystals. :(

      • Frittsd

Wish I had that price!  4 lb bag goes for about $2.59 and that’s the Kroger brand.  SE Georgia

      • Wildnobnoxious1

Any bag of sugar that is less than $2.00 for 4lbs is a steal! On average a 4 lb sugar in my region, which is near Louisville, runs anywhere from $2.69 a bag on up to as much as $3.89 for a 4 lb bag. depends on the brand and the store.

      • Lindy

I would advise EVERYONE to stock up a little on sugar.  I am betting the price will go up considerably in the coming weeks….

      • Soberkitty

        Hell yes!

    • Mel1

Thought the Brach’s coupon said not for use on holiday candy, so that one might not work.  Double check the wording.

      • Renny

On another site, someone contact Brach’s & was told that candy corn is not a holiday product and the coupon could be used on it.  Makes sense, as candy corn can be bought all year long.  HTH.

    • guest

The Poptart coupon for $2/3 is actually $2.00 off milk when you buy 3.

    • katkoupon

Excited to see THREE organic produce items on sale!

      • ireneY

The kale is not a bad price, depending on how big the bunch is. Trying to grow collards in the fall garden this year. Hopefully, they do well so I won’t need to buy greens through the winter.

    • Kim

Our local Kroger (Ohio) had Rotel tomatoes, Rosarita Beans also included in the 10 for $10 sale.  Our local paper had the following coupons also:  .50/3 Rosarita Beans, .50/2 Rotel tomatoes, .40/3 hunts tomatoes, .50/4 Chef Boyardee Cans or Microwave pasta.

It was an amazing Smart Source insert for our Saturday paper.    LOTS of great coupons.

      • gabrielamoralesperez

thank you for posting this, I was able to get the rosarita beans today!

      • Lindy

These are staples for me and I was tickled when the matchups were posted right there in the coupon inserts this week! Yummy :p  I’ll be ordering ahead for my trip later this week for sure!  I am on the border (sort of) with Ohio, we may get some of the same inserts and sales at Kroger!

Our paper had the same coupons as you list above and it also had an ad page showing the price of the products at Kroger and the coupons that matched-up with them.  It listed a Kroger digital coupon for .50/3 Manwich Sloppy Joe Sauce. I think these are on sale for $1.00 each this week. Also, there was a coupon for buy 3 Hunt’s Snack Pack Pudding, get one free.

    • Pinkladyalley35

I will mostly be just stocking up on the boneless pork loin. That’s my stock up price plus I have a $2 off Kroger coupon. This will be a light shopping week for me. Thanks to what Jenny has taught me about stocking up at buy prices…I can do that!

The .70/1 Pot Tart Q says Redeemable at H-E-B

    • Gapeach1109

Are Tony’s Pizzas worth a dollar? I have never had them.

      • Bridget

Not to me. Pretty tasteless. I have to ‘doctor’ them up quite a bit with extra cheese, italian seasoning, etc. At that point, it’s not such a deal, lol. Also, kind of small.

        • Itscindisworld

I totally agree, I would not eat these….but the young ones will…for after school snack with fruit and milk. But, I think they are gross, lol.

      • Couponreina2011

If you have growing young people, they will scarf them for a snack!

        • Itscindisworld

LOL, I totally use these as a GO TO snack for my afterschool age kiddos! Add a fruit and a glass of milk, YEP they are good to go!

    • Janetbugg

Don’t really know where to put this but-  I became aware that Kroger has a “scan right” policy.  I happened to be in Kroger as they were reducing the black angus hamburger and bought a package.  When I was leaving the store realized they had scanned the original price and I paid full price.  When I went back to get the difference I was told the item would be free and they refunded the entire price.  Don’t know if this is a new policy or just a clerk that actually followed policy.

      • Shortchikk

Not a new policy… always watch receipt and if it rang up wrong, you get one of that item for free ( if you bought more than one, they will give you the adjustment of what the price should have been, plus one would be free).  I got free huggies little swimmers a month ago, plus I had used a q, so I actually made money.

      • ireneY

Good looking out! If it’s over $5, they give you a Kroger gc for $5 at CS desk. Happens most often on Sundays since they may not have finished with the price changes from previous week.

      • Ajwoolums

This is their policy. I got a six pack of vitamin water yesterday free because it rang up at 4.99 instead of the price on the sign 3.99. I always pays to watch at kroger.

      • Mary Hendricks

No, not a new policy.  I worked there 15 years ago and that was the policy.  But I notice they don’t always follow it.  Sometimes they just give back the difference.

Also, they used to have a deal where you try the Kroger brand and if you don’t like it, you get the name brand for free.  But the last time I tried that with some catfood that even the ants wouldn’t eat, they only gave me my money back for the bad catfood.

If you don’t think they are doing it right, ask for a manager.  I ended up giving someone a CASE of baby formula once because it rang up wrong.  Probably why they stopped selling it by the case.  :)

How do we know which region we fall under?

      • mrn1

if you go to Kroger dot com and type in your zip code to view the weekly ad then look at the address bar at the top of your browser and it will tell you which region  you are in.  That is the only way I know to find out.  HTH

      • Lindy

I am in the middle of 3 different regions where I am- Mid-Atlantic, Louisville and Columbus area. Works out when deal shopping- you can check their website and locate the regional map to locate your stores :)

This week, Kroger has Red Barron FireSide Pizzas for 2.99 each with your Kroger card.  Use the $1.00 off 2 manufacturer coupon for additional savings!

    • Wildnobnoxious1

Kroger has always had a store policy ever since I can remember…which is a good 30 yrs or more…that if a item does not scan correctly when checking out, then go to the service desk and they will refund the entire amount of the item. If you have identical items, then they will only refund the difference in the amount you overpaid. I know other stores also have this same policy such as County Market grocery store, as well as Hy-Vee.

      • Sunshine

I believe the limit is up to $5 on the free item.

        • Dar11p

$5 limit is correct.  It is called the ScanRite Guarantee.  If you have 2 or more, you get one free (up to $5) and the others are price over-ridden to the correct price.

          • Calhoun220

Just this week I had 2 identical items that didn’t scan the price marked on the shelf.  Someone had forgotten to take down an outdated sale sign.  I was refunded both items since together they were under $5. Could be just my store.  They use to be hard on couponers.  I think they lost a lot of business to Publix, so now they are super nice to couponers.

    • AngelicOne143

Southeast is incorrect. They do NOT have the .99 chicken at all!

      • Kelly V.

Maybe your sales ad doesn’t start until Wednesday or you city/store may not be participating.

      • Asmith

Make sure you are in Southeast Region for Kroger. Atlanta is 99  cents and it is in the Southeast Region. For example Richmond, Va area is considered Mid Atlantic, check your region.

    • Shellyburg2

curse the extreme couponing show, i hope it never comes back, far less deals this year compared to last year

    • katie joe

Last week i did the kraft deal at check out i got a $10.00 dollar & a $1.00 for my next purchase .I also recieved a $2.00 dollar off johnsonville sausage that printed out .I’m new at this so can someone please tell me is this a catilina or manufacturers cpn ? It says manufacturer cpn. on the top but was printed out from catilina machine .

      • Stephen61870

Catalina coupons are maunfacturer coupons in that the store will be reimbursed for them when used. The ones for a specific amount off your next purchase however can be used on anything and can be combined with other manufacturer coupons. These were a reward for your past purchase. The one for Johnsonville can only be used for the specific item and cannot be combined with other manufacturer coupons.

        • mrn1

the Kraft catalina that printed at Kroger says store coupon on it.  I was surprised to see that.

    • katie joe

Stephen61870….Thank u so much 4 replying to my question .But now i have another . I have been told u can combine manufactures cpn. with catalinas to get more bang 4 ur buck .Am i 2 assume that 2 do that it will actual say catalina at the top ?

      • Guest

no, they say manufacture cpn, but it will say save x$ on your next shopping order which you can use with other manufacture coupons, only if it says a specific item like Save .75 on idahoan potatoes, then you can not use another coupon for that item

      • Stephen61870

Sometimes you can also use other stores catalinas at Publix or Bi-Lo as competitor coupons and stack them with another manufacturer coupon.

    • Bowencat

I was told at our local Kroger cashier that they were no longer taking internet coupons after the end of the month.  Did not receive bonus coupon from them on the ones used.  Is this a general trend?

      • I have not been able to use internet coupons for awhile now at my local Kroger – they don’t quote policy, they instead find an issue with every single one and either give it back or just pretend they’ll use it later and wait for me to forget about it. I haven’t uses a printed out coupon there in at least six months!

      • Michelle

Oh no.  I hope this doesn’t become a Nationwide policy.  My Kroger takes 3 online coupons.

        • Dtcox1

my kroger in irmo, sc had hormel pepperoni slices in the deli for $1 ea (10 for 10).  it is awesome if you could find a Q to go w/ it

    • Khm_mom

My Kroger’s ad shows Bush’s beans and Hunt’s tomatoes 10//10.

    • Moats4life

So is anyone from TX? In the store I noticed that about 1/8 of the sales are relevant. What am  I doing wrong?  :(

      • Guest

Our ads run from weds to tues, so these ads will match up pretty close to our weds ads, the meat, produce might be different, and our prices are sometimes slightly higher, but i have found most of the ad matches and can base my list on this one

    • Sarah1732

Does anyone know how the koolaid catlina works….u buy 3 and get $1 catlina….if you buy multiple can u do it all together or do u have to like buy 3 per transaction to get the catlinas

      • Guest

have to buy them in same transaction.  buy 2 get 1 dollar, buy 3 get 2 dollars, buy 4 get 3 dollars

    • Guest

I got a catalina printout that shows requirement for the kool aid catalina.  It is buy 2, get 1 dollar.  Buy 3 get 2 dollars and buy 4 or more get 3 dollars.  It is only for kool aid though, tang and country time are not listed.  This goes from 9/15 to 10/14.  Unfortunately, my store did not have these on sale as Jenny has listed, but if your store has them on sale, that would make a great deal on 4

    • Chefglynda

The Brach’s $1.50 coupon specifically says not valid on Holiday products. Just FYI…

      • mrn1

Candy Corn is a year round product.  Also, another blogger contacted Brach’s and they told her it was considered “seasonal” not “holiday”. HTH

    • does anyone know what the best and most effective way to complain to kroger about inventory issues? I mean — i know there’s writing letters, which i haven’t tried, then there’s FB, and the receipt surveys, both which I *have* tried, and I just get sort of ‘non-answers’ …. anything I’m missing that’ll get results? Issues like – being out of sales items THE ENTIRE TIME THE SALES IS ON, and i mean THE ENTIRE TIME, …. and not carrying items at all that I KNOW are carried at OTHER Krogers. Among other things. Any suggestions?
