      •  The Spring Reinventing Beauty booklet is at CVS, but availability varies by store to store. Check with your local CVS store. The Unilever booklets are no longer available but we still match the coupons in them until they expire.

      • Stephanie

I’ve seen them in weird places in the store.  You have to just keep an eye out, sometimes the employees don’t even know where they are.

    • Couponer

Arizona Tea isn’t $.50ea. It’s $.59 ea or 2 for $1  (makes a little bit of a difference if you were calculating for filler item…)

Anyone else tired of Walgreen’s squeezing every last nickel out of every purchase?  Charging $.09 more for Arizona Tea if purchased singularly?  Really Walgreens, are you needing $.09 that desperately??

Can hardly wait til the two week ad hits in June to see how much the sales really stink.  Then the loyalty card hits in September – that should really help to drive away the rest of the shoppers…

      • VP22

Yes, yes, YES. I hate when they do that. To me, if you say 2/$4 then they should b $2 a piece. Not 1 that rings up $2.99 and another for $1.01

      • MacBoy

Yeah. I ended up paying more for a purchase using a BOGO because of that.

      • dude

Whoa. They are doing two week ads and adding  a loyalty card?

      • esetwo

I looked on another website where you can see walgreens way ahead of time and did not see any two week ads in June and the ones for 6-3 and 6-10 are already posted.  Where did you find out about a loyalty card?  I heard that they tried these and they failed.

        • Couponer

If you go to the discussion on the site that is the source of those ads, you’ll see the starting date of the ads as well as the discussion regarding the loyalty ads.  However, if you’re  looking at a site that just copies the ad info you won’t have a clue.  ;-)

          • Couponer

that was loyalty cards, not ads… :-)

          • esetwo

i was at werdeals which i thought was the source.  I guess i was wrong.

            • Couponer

That’s the website which was created to host the scans because other websites were ripping off ad scans and not giving the person credit.  Search for the deal site where the person has been a member for years and you’ll find the discussion.  ;-)

          • esetwo

i was at werdeals which i thought was the source.  I guess i was wrong.

    • anna

Question (totally new to walgreens): Can I alternate the Purchases

      1. Transaction Tecnu First Aid Gel, 2 oz, $7 get $7 RR

       2. Transaction: Youtheory Collagen Type 1 & 3, 120 ct., $7 get $7RR

Paying in Transaction #2 with the $7 RR from Transaction 2..get another $7 RR from Transaction 2 and turn around and buy the first item again..and so on?

Hope i did not phrase it to confusing…just used to Rite Aid and want to add Walgreens to my couponing :-)

      • anna

Paying in Transaction #2 with the RR from Transaction 1

      • VP22

I think they are made by 2 different companies. So if that is the case, then yes, you can use Tecnu to pay for Youtheory and so on. Only time you might have a problem is if you have 1 of those stores where they don’t allow multiple transactions and if that is the case, just go to another store if you can.

        • anna

Thank you for the quick reply!! Might leave the store then for a couple minutes and return :-)

          • VP22

You are very welcome. Glad to be of help.

      • Ashleemichele

Will there be tax on these items??

        • Couponer

Depends upon your state tax laws…

        • tml0701

I didn’t pay tax it was completely free in FL

      • april

Yes you can..I would do it too. However, I have no idea what the items are and probably wont use them.

      • tml0701

I just did it and bought 4 of each.  I really wanted to clear the shelves but I felt bad doing it.  Now I regret it cuz they were absolutely free and the first aid technu I can def use all the time and the collagen pills say to take 3 twice a day which means you’d go through them in no time.

    • Bellasavings

I can’t find it today but, I printed one yesterday. There was a coupon for the mars candy bars that was b2g1free. Can’t I use that with the .75/2 coupon? I would think so, but just wanted yalls opinion.

      • Bellasavings

oh sorry meant to say the coupoon was on the coupons.com (savings club)

    • Bellasavings

Just a heads up. I went at midnight and done the suave buy$10 get$3 rr. The body washes rang up at $1.50! Messed me all up.lol In my first transaction I got 2 suave deodorant and 3 suave body washes, thinking each was $2. Didn’t print out the rr. So we voided that transaction. Sooooo here is my 3 transactions…
      1) bought 2 ecotrin. Used 2 $1.50/1 paid .24 and got $2 in rr
      2) I repeated the first transaction
      3) got 3 body washes at $1.50 each and 2 suave lotions at $3 each used 1 b2g1 body wash coupon , b1g1 suave lotion coupon, and then used the $4 rr from transaction 1 &2. Paid $1.21 and got back $3 in rr.

      Hope this helps some one!!!

    • Monarch2003

Had my first terrible experience at WAGS last night at 12:01 am. I got there at 11:30 to start my shopping. This is not my regular store since we were on a little vacay. I had the pleasure…( not ) of running into a shelf clearer for the asprin and pitched a fit until she gave me two out of her basket….lol.
Then it came time to ring up. I was told that you couldn’t use register rewards on coupon items and had to buy a filler for every one that I wanted to use. The cheapest thing was .39 cents. I was given and updated coupon policy that states one manufacturer coupon per item and rr clearly state manufacturers coupons.
My store never has told me this…..is this new this week ???
It totally messed me up and I spent 1 hour checking out :( I brought my husband to be an extra body and he is completely turned off to couponing now …grrr :(
      Any feedback would be great.
      Thanx guys and gals !

      • VP22

It’s not that you can’t use coupons on RR items, the thing is the number of items you purchase has to be equal to the number of items you purchase. They count RR’s as coupons. So, for example, if you bought 3 items and each had a manufacture coupons and you had 1 RR you wanted to use, you would have to buy 1 small filler item to make up the difference so you would have 4 items. Hope that makes sense.

        • Couponer

As VP22 explained, the filler thing is what makes shopping at Walgreens such an experience.  You have to plan ahead to know exactly what you are buying with which coupons and which RRs.  And, adding fillers can be expensive – there are rarely any fillers cheaper than $.39 – $.59 in my local stores.  (The only time I see $.12 fillers is holiday clearance or holiday pencil/bag time.)

The need for fillers definitely makes me think twice whether or not I’ll buy RR item – it has to be something I really want or the MM value has to be large enough to cover tax and the cost of the filler item.

          • VP22

I totally agree with you on that. My stores have never had the .10 fillers with exception of holidays and occasional clearance. The other 2 stores I can play by ear if need be but Wags usually has to be planned.

            • couponme

My stores don’t have cheap fillers available either.  i usually end up wasting my time trying to find something cheap or clearance and it gets old.  I have just about decided not to shop Wags anymore.  Too much of a pain and completely unpredictable on RRs, coupons.

          • bj

my store -longview,tx-hwy 80-is great abt fillers-have a basket of laffy taffy by reg-or other really cheap items-

        • savanna

I buy milk as my filler item.  The rr is not supposed to be used on milk, but if it is used in a transaction with other items, it works fine.

      • Wowaddicts2007

lol…my husband is the same way.

    • Kitty

Just a heads up I just got back from Walgreens and the Skinmate shaving cream RR didn’t print. It also rang up at the wrong price ($3.79) The cashier called the manager over and she said it didn’t print because i used RR’s to pay for my items which I knew was crap. She wanted to return all my other items and redo everything and have me pay for the shaving cream separately so i told her no I’ll just return it.
I then did my second transaction which was the collagen and used the tencu RR to pay for it and of course my RR printed so the cashier knew that the manager didn’t know what she was talking about either because he said something about it haha. I told him sometimes there are glitches in the system and these things happen. It’s sad when the shoppers are more informed than the managers lol

      • JenS

I had a problem with the Skintimate too. The Manager was great about it and tried to find out what the problem was. Apparently, there is a problem that they are trying to resolve today. Same thing happened at another Walgreens and they were trying to fix it too. Hopefully we’ll see a solution soon.

        • Stef_O

My Walgreens has signs posted that the Cream Shave is the RR item, not the gels.

          • kim

Yep, my Wags had the sign stating that the cream shave is included, not the gel…

      • Khenley1113

Same problem here.  The cashier just gave me $2.00 off my next transaction.

      • esetwo

The skintimate in the plastic bottles are giving the register rewards but the taller aluminum ones are not.  The manager of my store did a test to see if any of them would print.

    • Danamote

I’m getting tired of Walgreens. Every time I go in there I have a problem. Most of the time I end up going back in after getting to the car. I try to be aware I’d customers behind me and don’t want to nit pick at the register. Regardless though my experiences at the griffin ga Walgreens are making me weary.

      • Van

I have been fed up with Wags for a while now. I only go if there is 1 or 2 items tah I need & that are deals.
However, I will have to go today as I have 1 last RR that expires today. I’ll make it an easy 1 item trip. Then off to CVS.

Sorry to the folks that don’t have that choice

    • Ann S

The Skintimate and the Suave didn’t work for me.  I bought 6 bottles of body wash and used 2 B2G1 free coupons and it didn’t print.  I’m thinking of returning them or messaging Catalina since the store people never know what to do when they don’t print and say that they can’t force a RR to print.

      • Brad

at walgreens this morning the printer tape ran out mid printing a string of 5 RR’s for me. the manager there forced out 2 new ones by scanning the item as a new sale, opening the drawer, closing it, and letting the RR print. everyone says they have problems with wags but i have interacted with 3 different regular employees for my sunday morning visits and they are always helpful.

    • laura

in the beauty section there is a skin care guide booklet that has coupons $1 off coppertone sport $2 off 2 banana boat and several others makes the coppertone $2.29 each after rr and banana boat around $3 each with store and manu coupons…

    • laura

also these coupons are good through sometime in august and they just scanned them and told me to keep and use as much as i like until they expire…

      • Guest

They are Walgreen coupons just like the monthly booklet so you scan and use as many times as you want along with being able to stack with manufacter coupons

    • Darrrrksunshine

The Skintimate gel is not on sale– there was a sign in the shaving section stating that the register rewards will only print for the SHAVE CREAM not the SHAVE GEL – the shave cream is $3.99 so its not on sale.  Just thought everyone would like to know. (Murfreesboro TN Walgreens)

      • Brad

you need to make sure and go by the physical advertisement from your paper or store. my local wags NEVER has current signage on the products on sale (i visit sunday morning when they open), so i have to bring the advertisement with me and double check via the image and exact text from the ad to make sure i am pulling a sale product. That being said the shave cream was on sale in the flyer but still rang up 3.29. the manager did an adjustment for me.

      • 2sweetgrits

Same in Birmingham…they had signs up stating that the deal with the RR was for the CREAM, not the gel! BOO! I got the Cream, but I would have preferred the gel! Oh, well for 49 cents it was/is a deal!

    • Oh my gosh I had such a hard time at Wags this morning!  The manager had to go hunt the first aid gel in the back of the store.  I “accidentally” found the collagen pills on an overstock shelf above the first aid products (nobody knew where they were).
None of the sale items were marked on the shelves and almost nothing that was supposed to print RR actually did.   The manager ended up giving me cash instead of RR on the shave cream because the RR wouldn’t print.  I went as soon as the store opened and was there for over an hour.

Went right across the stree to CVS and things went nice and smoothly with all my deals there (except they didn’t have the Skinny Cow candy …)

      • Mcleodsc

It seems to be the norm not to post the signs and to have the RR producing items in weird places. I have learned to look high and low on every shelf and up and down every aisle. I always look for anything hanging anywhere in the store because it will always be on an unrelated aisle. If I am not sure which item jproduces a RR, I will take several different ones and smile sweetly and say I just don’t know which one it is because there was not a sign-please scan each one and find the correct one for me-LOL!

        • Mcleodsc

If I am in a hurry I will just ask someone to find the item for me-LOL!! I can be a PITA sometimes! If they are going to waste my time by not putting out the signs-then it is only fair that I should give them something to do by having them look for the items or price checking several to find the right one-LOL!!

    • Ana

Just got back from Walgreens, and to confirm on the Skintimate deal, there was a sign that the RR was for the shave CREAM not the GEL. It printed for me with the Cream plastic curvier bottle.

      • Ana

        This is in South Texas.

    • Ampoe1

In the walgreens “skin care guide” has $2 off any 2 bananna boat products and hawaaiin products

    • Mshard1974

Today , I went in my store in Albany,GA. I saw the Dry Idea Deodorant was already on sale for $2.19 plus this weeks sale for B1G1. I actually had about 4 coupons printed from Coupons.com – Save $2 on two. That meant $.19 for 2. I picked up 8. My total was $1.37 for all 8.

    • HHBeverly

Here’s why I  hate going to Wags and will only do so if they have an unbelievable deal.  Yesterday (Sunday) I went at 9:00 am to get the 2-day day sale water and the Colgate Total Advanced toothpaste that was on sale.  The water was a no go since “they never got any.”  Ugh – figures.  However, I was able to find the toothpaste even though two stock girls had almost every variety of Colgate out on the floor or on a flat cart in the aisle (they appeared to be sorting varieties).  After digging though the 35+/- tubes of Colgate Total Advanced on the floor or on the flat cart (this should have been my clue?) looking for gel – not paste, I finally settled for a paste that had a coupon booklet shrink wrapped to the box.  So, after the $3.00 Colgate RR and a manu. coupon I got the toothpaste for free. Love it!  But here’s where I go crazy . . . after getting home (yeah, dumb me) I discovered that in the coupon booklet was another $1.00 coupon for the toothpaste which would allow me to get another tube free and luckily we were heading back out that very evening.  By the time I got back to the store at 4:15, how many tubes of Colgate Total Advanced do you suppose were still on the shelf?  Zero, zilch, nada, none – not even ONE!  I can only assume that either those girls were so good that they had all 100 tubes of all the varieties of Colgate sorted and stocked so speedily that they sold an average of 5 tubes per hour (I know but I had to do the math) when there was only one RR allowed per person or . . . . . do you suppose the reason I found mine on a flat cart was because they were sorting them to (gasp) put in the back room?  I hate to think they’d go to so much trouble but, when I add up all the little problems (RR not printing, never having sale items in stock on Sunday morning, making the raincheck process so difficult and finally unapologetic store employees who could give a flip), I can only assume the obvious . . . . Wags hates me and my fellow thrifty shoppers!  Yes, folks, that’s right – WAGS HATES COUPONERS!  So, I’ll hold on to my extra $1.00 off Colgate Total Advanced and take it to CVS where they LOVE and AFFIRM my coupon habit!  Yeah, CVS . . . . boooooooo Wags!!!

      • Csmama

I agree.. I only go to Walgreens when I have RR to use up or if they have a crazy good deal. I’d rather avoid the Coupon Nazi there!

      • guest

It must just be your area…here in Graham, NC Its the opposite!  CVS NEVER has anything advertised and Wags usually has everything.

I work and only coupon at Walgreens, lately we have been doing resets so maybe the girls were resting the toothpaste aisle and instead of leaving a mess they rolled the cart into the stock room or maybe the store you shop at didn’t limit the customers.  We had about three rolling pallets full of the water so I don’t undertsand why your store didn’t get any at all but it could be possible because the store in Hickory never got the mouthwash last week and we sold 2 and was restocked with 2 more before the sale ended.  Try a different store if you have one near, in our area we have 2 close and 1 a little bit further away but my store is the only one that is coupon friendly that is unless a special manager is at the Hickory store.

    • Brandyzap

My Wags is just the same here in GA- I can go in for just a few items on a Sunday when the sale comes out, and of course most of it is out of stock already. Then, when I go to the register and have everything completely in order, the coupons won’t ring up and they act as if I have ruined their entire day bc they have to call the manager. It can even be their coupon that has it locked up. I have never made a trip successfully without it locking up! But I go right across the street to CVS, and never an issue- ever. And goodness, don’t ask for a raincheck! They are gonna look at you like you have literlly just stole something! Seriously, I am not an extreme couponer that does 5 or 6 transactions by all means, but if I can get a deal on a few items, I am gonna use my coupons, and I am gonna stack them with the walgreens coupons- that is what they are there for! Their customer service stinks!

      • Mcleodsc

Amen!! I manage to lock up their new registers every time I use coupons. I was even told the register locked up because you used so many coupons. Every time I ask for a raincheck I have to wait at least 10 minutes for the manager to walk 15 steps from the office to the register. I just smile and wait-they shouold know by now that if I ask for a raincheck I am PREPARED TO WAIT HOWEVER LONG IT TAKES TO GET ONE-lol!

    • Vicki

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to access the coupons.com super saver coupons. I log in – I refresh the page…they’re not there. Every now and then, they’ll pop up when I’m signed in. What am I doing wrong? It’s making me crazy!

    • Etan999

if i buy 4 kellogs cereals in same transaction will i get back $4 RR  help im going soon!!

      • Vicki

No. You’ll only get one RR per transaction.

    • tee54

every store is different I have tried 4 different cvs and 3 different walgreens. the 3 walgreens are all in the same city .  I hate one of the cvs, products marked up from all the other stores. and then the other nerver has the good deals. The wLGREENS AT LEAST USUALLY KNOW WHATS GOING ON WITH THE CUPOSS.

    • Trish

Does anyone know if wags will accept a rr one day after expiration or is that like pulling teeth too!  LOL!

      • Vicki

They will not likely do it since RRs are manufacturer’s coupons. At CVS, the ECBs are store Qs, so it’s a little easier.

    • Acfarms2

went to walgreens today and the computor tried to tell me my coupon was expired and it wasnt! Cashier was great and entered it at the end BUT  normally I do not like to shop there but do it anyway

    • Sharae

My Walgreens in Central Florida had alot of toys marked 75% off.  The $9.99 toys were $2.49 and the $6.99 toys were $1.74.

    • Beth

My Walgreens in Powdersville SC has Nivea for Men products on clearance.  The face balm was $3.49 each – came to $1.24 each after the $2.25/1 printable coupon out there.  The shaving cream is also on clearance and after the $2.25/2 on those it came out to around 85 cents each.

    • Stressed fromwags

Shopping at walgreens every week gives me stress, if it’s not the new register that makes a big fuss on coupons, then it’s the slow, old, cranky, coupon hater employees (male and female). I can deal with the new register, but I only come in when I know they have a young cashier working.
