I found a great deal at Fred’s for their sale that ends today.  Their 14oz. Dawn Dish Detergent was on sale for $.85.  I had $.50 coupons (for Dawn Renewal) from the Jan 1st P&G insert.  Even though the coupon says “Dawn Renewal” the register took it for the regular Dawn.  Thanks to Fred’s double coupon policy, all I paid was $.07 per bottle.  Thankfully, my cashier was nice enough to let me do multiple single transactions to take advantage of the deal.  Sooo glad I saw this deal.

      • Guest

It really would have been a good deal if you would have used the correct coupon. Getting it at .57 vs. .07 is still a pretty good deal and it would have been an honest deal especially since you intentionally used the wrong coupon

        • MGS

Does anyone have any extra PG inserts from 1/1? I missed out due to having my baby and would be willing to pay for some?! If so please let me know and I can send you my info!@ Thanks

          • GAMommyof2

I have 2 or 3 inserts I can send you. Send me your email address and I will get them out to you in the mail this week. Congratulations by the way on a healthy baby!!!! :)

        • Sporksoma

I agree!  Using coupons in that manner is not only illegal, but it contributes to hostile attitudes by the store when they don’t get reimbursed for the item because they didn’t actually sell it.

If you’re caught using coupons fraudulently on purpose, you can face a hefty fine as well as jail time, and if you’re knowingly using coupons in an illegal manner, you deserve it.

        • L.Anne

I also agree!  No reason to defraud a store.  If they start losing money on coupons, they will stop being so generous with their policies.

      • Brandyandtravis

I agree with everyone else. Using the wrong coupon for an item, even though the register took it was coupon fraud. It brings a bad name to couponers. If you are new and it was a simple mistake you may want to study up on couponing. If you are a pro shame on you. Please dont do that anymore.

    • Debbie Parnell

I used my .25 off Dawn coupons at Fred’s today.  They also had the Dawn for .85.  I paid .80 cents for two bottles.  .40 cents apiece, not a magnificient deal but I will take it.   Two bottles for less than the price of 1.

      • Padawanlearner

You know you’re a couponer when .40 is too much to pay for a bottle of dish soap! : )

    • Thriftyspender

wouldnt glade be free if $ and the .55 c coupon doubles?

    • val

does anyone else have extra 01/01/12 inserts they are willing to share, thanks in advance

      • Ashley

        which coupons do you need?

    • Rrbarr

Anyone having trouble printing the Quaker granola bars Q.

It keeps saying I need to update the printing software, but when I click to do so nothing happens except it says it’s preparing to print, but never does!

I’ve tried printing from this site and from Redplum site, and both give the same messages with same results——NADA!

    • Brandyandtravis

Does anyone know the coupon policy at Freds? I know they double on Saturday, but is there a limit? I cant find the policy on line. Here, they double up to .70 cent. Can you get an overage at Freds?

      • Nikibradley25

you can only double the first coupon of the same product. say you have 3 glade 55cent coupons. they will only double the first one…sucks. but you can make them do seperate transactions at my store so you still get the deal. they only double on saturdays though.

Does Fred’s take Target coupons?  The only coupon I could find on Colgate using the link above gave me a $1 off Target coupon.

    • i need one dollar coupons for the toothpaste but the only printable one is a target one.. does this work at freds?

      • Jomurphey

If it says manufacturer coupon at the top and NOT “Target” or “store coupon,” or “Redeemable Only at…” yes.

I’ve done it with other coupons at Fred’s but not the Target Colgate toothpaste one.

Freds Coupon policy…no competitiors Q’s, dbl on Sat up to 70cents on the first itme only.

I just had a bad experience at Freds…went to purchase the BIC highlighters in the new add,, and was told by 2 cashiers that I could not use $1 Q to purchase a $1 item.  Needless to say I did not purchase anything from there and called the Customer Care Hotline to make a complaint.  I was going to buy 3 pkls…not 50, not even 10…3.  And the cashier was rude.  So, I will go to Walmart and use my $1 Q’s there and make 3cents off each one.  I really just wanted the highlighters for my daughters school….this was the Fred’s in Camden SC.

So, Fred’s only doubles 1 q up to .70 on Saturdays or they don’t allow you to use more than 1 of the same q? I can’t find their policy and was getting excited about planning my first trip Sat. If I can only use say 1 dawn q, but can still use 1 glade q and they both double, while it’s not ideal, it’s better than nothing. If only the first q of the transaction doubles, which I can’t really see, it’s totally not worth anyone’s time.

      • Chughes

First of each item…so if you buy 10 dawns, only the first Q will double.  If you buy 19 Glades, then the first of those 10 will double etc…Sorry my posting was confusing…you can find their policy on the website under FAQs

You can do two seperate transaction. I let the people with one item go first instead of holding up the line. Most of the time its make the other customer and the cashier happy. Sometime if the cpn is giving them trouble they’ll push it though as long as the wording match up.-ex any product
