This was a fun week at our house.  We had a fun trip to visit family with the plans of helping take cows to market.  Yep, you read that right.  My husbands family owns cows, so we get to have the fun experience of feeling like cowboys and cowgirls every now and then.  In the end the whole adventure got postponed, so we instead had a great time of playing in the pool and visiting family.  It was actually a much needed time of rest and fun in our house and I love how things always work out perfectly like that!

As for shopping this week, I hit Publix for some key items and milk.  We also got our third produce box with fresh broccoli, greens, and lots of squash and zucchini.

Publix:
Total before sales and coupons: $112.17
Total Spent: $48.91
Total Saved: $63.26 or 56%

This was mostly B1G1 deals with milk and bread added in.

CVS:
I ventured in for toothpaste, and got a rain check yet again.  It’s cool we are going to have a toothpaste field day one of these days when I use all these rain checks.

How did you do this week?  Leave a a link to your post or a comment.

How do you resist getting so many of the great deals you post?  I start off with a small printed list, and by the time I go to the store I have added so many of the other deals people have found. Do you ever post exactly what you get and the coupons you use? I am sure you don’t have the time to do that with all you do.
How much does a produce box cost?

I went to K-Mart and bought 4 12packs of Pepsi products on sale 4/$12, 2 bags of Lays Chips 2/$5, 2 bags of Cheetos 2/$5, 64oz Motts Apple Juice $3.16, and Folgers Canister $6.99, and jelly beans on clearance for 57 cents.

Used 3/$1 off Pepsi 12 packs coupon
Used 1 $1 off Lays chips coupon
Used 1 $1 off Cheetos Coupon
Used 1 Free Motts Apple Juice from Kmart website

Kmart doubled all of my coupons, so I ended up paying $1.50 each for 12 packs, and $1.50 for each bag of chips, and got Apple juice for free.  I paid full price for Folgers coffee.

I ended up paying only $20.61.  I’m so HAPPY!!!

i know!! Ive been doing soooo good at
Kmart lately!! I dont know if people realize if you spend $25, you get 1 free item JUST for spending $25 there, PLUS (5) $1/off coupons doubles, saving even $10 MORE……so your basically getting $27 worth of stuff for $15! Almost 50% savings!!

    • I got lucky at Target buying diapers. I had a Target coupon giving me $4 off a package of Huggies Little Snugglers and a package of wipes (64 count or more), plus I had manufacturer coupons for $2 off the diapers and 75 cents off the wipes. The only package they had in the size I needed ended up being marked down to $6.61 because someone had opened it which I didn’t realize until I got to the register (it seems to be full too).

How many rain checks can you pick up on the same product in the same week?

      • Awilliams77

Most stores have limits. Publix here in SC limits us to 5 bogo deals. BiLo doesn’t always write an amount down on the raincheck.

First, I got my Publix Baby Club mailer and it included $1 off produce, $1 off dairy, and $1 off meat! I had no idea. Thought I would get a bunch of diaper and baby food coupons. This is big for me. Also, I bought two DiGiorno 200 cal. portions frozen pizzas @ $3.19 each. Along with a $1/2 mfr cpn (SS 4/29), manager let me use 3 $2 frozen grocery coupon from last Sunday’s paper. $.80 money maker. Yeah, it says one coupon per customer but my store usually lets me use multiple in one transaction on Saturday nights as long as the totals are met. Good week.

    • I do pretty well with shopping, but I don’t use a lot of coupons.  I do use them, but not a lot.  Many coupons in our paper are for things that I don’t use.  I buy things that are on sale or are store brand and make out quite well tho.  Add this into the coupons that I do use and I often pay about $100 for a bill that would have been $170 or higher.

My greatest saving this week tho was something I was quite proud of! I had a coupon for B1G1 on any Pantene product.  Well Pantene is usually pricey, but I had to go to Walmart for something and decided to see how much it was there.  I found the huge bottles on sale for $4.98 and you also got a small bottle for free with each of the big bottles.  With the big bottle of shampoo, you got a small conditioner and the conditioner came with a small bottle of shampoo.  So with the coupon, I paid $4.98 for 2 huge bottles (1 shampoo and 1 conditioner) and 2 small bottles of Pantene :)

I did great at publix this week, I had to break  my order into 3 seperate transaction because some of the manifactor coupon’s had limits but on each order I bought
3 2liter Pepsi next they were 3 for $4 and I had coupons for $1 off each making them 3or $1
quaker granola bars were on sale B1G1 for $2.98 . I had coupons for 75 cents off each two  I bought making them $1.12 per box. I also had coupons to get a free Starbucks refresher beverage , they retail for $2.29
I buy 10 papers and had a couple of extra coupon inserts from friends, so I wound up with a total of 12 pepsi next, 12 starbucks refresher beverages and I only used 6 of my coupons for the granoal bars, (I will use the other 6 monday) I wound up spending a little over $23 and my savings with the coupons and B1B1 was around $70k. I have the pantene coupons and plan on taking advantage of them this week at Wal-Mart
