Recently our family got a chance to watch the documentary, Humpback Whales, in 3D. This movie is narrated by Ewan McGregor and lets you take a peek at, in my opinion, one of the most awe-inspiring marine animals. The movie is set in the waters of Alaska, Hawaii and the remote islands of Tonga. It gave our family the opportunity to take an up-close look at how these whales communicate, sing, feed, play and take care of their young.
This movie was very much a save-the-whales movie. We loved the photography and nature side of this film and found some good teaching moments throughout. Our family was able to have good discussions about stewardship through watching the film and learning more about the whales.
