      What are Max Perks?

      • They are basically a rebate offered by Office Max that instead of giving cash back gives you a gift card to use on anything else you want from Office Max.

        • Matcatsmom

Can you use the Max Perks gift card to buy the other deals?

    • Rebecca

Are these in-store deals only? I looked for a couple of things, and couldn't find them with the max perks rewards attached (like they used to be). For Matcatsmom: I have rolled my rewards in the past. They even have a place to do it during on-line checkout, which I find MOST convenient.

      • The ad states in store only, but lately they've been adding these to the website on Monday. I'll let you know if I see them pop up in the morning!

        • Rebecca

Thanks! I'm off to look right now.

    • Myracash66

Do I have to mail each of these rebates separate? They all have different offer #'s.

    • 3monkeysmom

Do you have to own a business or be a teacher to participate in MaxPerks???
Those were the only two options I saw on the enrollment page of the their site…..

      • Juliansurveys

I'm wondering that too. And I'm still not sure how it works. Looks like it only works online.

        • 3monkeysmom

I went ahead and signed up for business…I'm a stay at home mom, what could be more like running a business than that???
Probably won't matter anyway…I cannot find these deals in the ad for my area :-(

    • Laurenbayles

I'm a MaxPerks member. I know if I spend $500 I get a $25 gift card, so it's not a dollar-to-dollar match. Are these deals different? How does it work? How would these items end up being free?

    • Laurenbayles

Sorry, but I don't get it. I have a MaxPerks card, and I know that each time my recorded purchases total $500, I get a $25 gift card. But that's not a dollar-to-dollar match. How does this deal work? Is it different from the above. I don't understand how these items end up being free or close to free. Thx

    • Laurenbayles

Sorry for duplicate comment. I didn't think the first one went through!

    • dawn

I dont see these free after Max Perks in my weekly add? Am I missing something?

      • 3monkeysmom

They're not in mine, either. I'm in B'ham. I found some free after Max Perks items when you buy online but they're not the same items as on here.
        Maybe regional deals?

      • I didn't have any either in Charleston, SC

    • Mamato6chicks

I went both online & had our local flyer and saw none of these advertised. I was even in Office Max today and these were not there. Are they only in one area? I'm in middle TN.

    • Mamato6chicks

I went online too signing up all over again. The only MaxPerks items are super high in price. What am I doing wrong?

    • Mamato6Chicks

Sorry for the additional posts but I'm trying to understand this. I went back to old posts on MaxPerks and think I get it now. You first shell out the $ on the perks items. Then you get that $ back in rewards to spend in the store? And you have a limited time frame to do that in, correct? And as long as you spend some cash out of pocket you can use these towards more perks purchases. Is that right? Do the perk reward $ ever roll over if you don't spend it within the time limit? Thanks for being patient with this newbie. =)
As for the deals not showing up I'm thinking maybe it hasn't changed over to the new week yet. I'm going to check back later today (Monday) and see if it has changed. I noticed the perks my account is showing now are the same deals listed here at S.S. last week.

      • lynn

Ok, I don't think that you can “roll” the MaxPerks rewards. I bought some of the paper, file folders, and bankers box, that were free after Maxperks, last fall. When I got my Maxperks rewards, I then, purchased some more papers, that was free after MP Rewards, with my earned Rewards. And I did NOT get the Maxperks from the paper, only for the few dollars that was over the rewards that I had spent…. So, I'm pretty burnt on the idea of the purchases that earn rewards.

        • Gina S.

I roll them all the time… I spend $110 for the fall purchases you were talking about and then did the next deal and got all of my rewards back $117. I would call them and tell them that you didn't get your rewards. They will try to hassle you a little bit, but as long as you have the packing slip/receipt and the information for the amount of rewards, you should get your money.

    • Jenissa

I don't shop very often at office max, but I really need some printer paper. I'm wondering if it is worth my while to do the max perks.. do they put free stuff out very often? the only way I would do this is if I could continually roll them.. but then there's the headache of having to go to the store every so often (with two little ones, not the easiest thing to do).

      • Mamato6chicks

I'm wondering too. That's the reason why I gave up on CVS. I couldn't keep up with the buck thing & most of mine went to waste. I didn't save money in the long run b/c of this so I was actually wasting money by spending more on products I either wouldn't normally splurge on or would buy far cheaper, KWIM?

    • Laurie

Today I got a package of 3 Post-It flag highlighters (all yellow) in the clearance section. It was marked $1.50 (down from $5.99). Since Office Depot was out of the advertised ones for $.99, I thought I would get this for $.50 after coupon. However they actually rang up at $.01 (one penny). Yea!

    • Mamato6chicks

I went into my local store today (37128) to see if I could find the deals here. Not the Max Perks ones but the others. (I had gone in Sunday for the advertised ones.) The only one I found were the 20 cent Just Basic 10pk of pens. I had seen them in my local flyer but passed on Sun. simply b/c I bought the 10cent ones. I did pick some up b/c they had a variety pack with blue, red & black in the back. I saw where the sanitizer was supposed to be but it was gone. No surprise. =) I didn't see it in there on Sun. but then again I wasn't looking for it. I found all the other products on the list but none were on sale. Hope this helps someone.

I'm so new to this – can someone help me by telling me how to use the office max perks? Do I sign up? Is it in the store? Is it automatic? Thanks for your help – still figuring it all out :) EH

OK a little frustrated with the Office Max Deals… We have an office max in town and they have different specials than what is listed here, then there is an office max in another town (another state) with most of the deals shown here, but NO perks listed.

How do I know for sure if I am getting the perks? I thought Office Max had nationwide flyers not regional. i have seen two different ads.

I have perks to spend that need to be spent by the 30th and I need binders!
