any idea on limits?  usually they say limit 2 of each item, but it’s not specified

      • Ginger

Oh rats! I hope it’s not limit 2 on all. I got 4 of the Mr Sketch for my daughter the artiste, who goes through art supplies like they’re going out of style. If it turns out to be limit 2, I’m gonna be bummed. I know the Hammermill paper said limit 2,, but didn’t see limits on the markers. Or the others, for that matter.

        • HoneaPath

As a long time OMaxist and based on the opinions in other forums, the only limitation is the $40 amount you’ll receive in Bonus Rewards.

          • buckeyegirl

where does it say there is a $40 limit?

            • Alliguest

in red right above shop all offers

          • Ginger

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, I didn’t notice the 40$ thing, either, so I think I’m gonna lose a lot of rewards. :(   Still, got good stuff that we need.

    • HoneaPath

This week’s offering seems to be a bit different. It gives back BonusRewards up to $40 of your purchase amt. Free shipping requires a $50 purchase. So only $40 of a free shipping order would roll. It appears the BonusReward items featured beginning Nov 24 have the same conditions. Be careful!!!

How do I use my rewards from the last deal with all the breast cancer awareness items I bought in Oct.  It is the 20th, shouldnt my $40 from last time be available?

      • mrs b

I emailed them about mine yesterday because I’m new to the Office Max rewards and am having the same problem. The purchase shows up as a valid one for rewards but nothing else–hopefully they’ll get back to me soon.

        • mrs b

Mine finally showed up today (I ordered this stuff on Monday–ah well).

      • Kelleyharold

On some promos they take longer than the normal time to post the rewards.  That happened with the free backpacks over the summer, and with something else I bought a while back.

        • Pinkchick82686

          thanks, it showed up today

    • Daisy

I called yesterday to verify this as well.  It is a $40 limit, so whatever combination you want to do is fine but you’ll only get $40 max back.

    • The very fine print on the MaxPerks homepage reads “$35 Bonus Reward offer on Hammermill Copy Paper, 10-ream case (item# 06011184), limit 2, maximum $70 Bonus Reward.” Is the $40 limit possibly without paper? I’m confused…

      • Kelleyharold

The paper deal is completely separate.  You can do it online or in the store.

        • Kelleyharold

Sorry – I just now got an email about a 3-day paper deal.  It says online only.  I did one in the store last week and was thinking of it.

I would assume the paper deal is still separate from the other max of $40 rewards, though.

    • Kris

I’m confused…is the “bonus” reward different than regular rewards?  Can I not just do my usual order of $50+ to roll my rewards and get free shipping, or will I only get $40 maximum rewards back?  Also, when rolling rewards, is it true you have to spend a little out of pocket on your total to ensure you can keep rolling?

      • HoneaPath

The consensus opinion on other forums is that you will only receive a maximum reward of $40 on a purchase of $40.01 or greater. Calls to Customer Service have given a variety of interpretations as is the usual case with OfficeMax CS. You do not have to spend anything out of pocket to roll your MaxPerks Rewards.

    • Rhiclarke

I have $25 in my available rewards.. however, when I went to checkout, I don’t see how I am suppose to redeem the rewards. They expire soon. I am logged in through my Maxperks ID, but it is not taking any amount off of my total… Any tips?

      • Kelleyharold

There’s a place to enter a gift card.  Put in your gift card number from your Max Perks and there will also be a place to put in the pin number that is found on your max Perks rewards for that period.

      • HoneaPath

If the $25 is on your 19 digit MaxPers Reward Card or OfficeMax Gift Card, you need to enter that card no. during the checkout process. Sign in to acct. Add items to cart. Click checkout. On next screen there is a  3. Billing Information. Click on Edit. A green rectangle will appear with the words Add Card. Click it and enter card no. and pin. A credit card has to be entered also, even if the MaxPerks Reward Card has sufficient funds for the purchase.

      • mrs b

And make sure that you type, not copy and paste your number in–I tried copy and paste three times before breaking down and typing it in, which worked.

    • Whozywhatzit

I just spoke with Office Max Rewards folks customer service and they said that there is NO LIMIT on the rewards you can earn unless it specifically states (like on the paper) limit of 2.  The $40 is referring to the amount you can get back if you buy 1 of each item you can get 100% rewards back on.  There is no $40 limit.

    • Beth

Can somebody please tell me what all this means?  I just started this madness.  If I buy the paper and markers and get the max perk points, then how do I use the max points?  Do they expire? How long does it take for the points to show up on your account?  THanks!!

      • Anonymous

Beth I purchased something over a month ago and my points haven’t shown up as of yet.  Using the points on items that earn more points you have to go over your point dollar amount a few cents to earn more points on that order.  I learned this the hard way, still got my order for free plus tax but lost my point I would have gotten by not going over just a little.  Hope this helps you some.

    • Anonymous

I did call customer service, and the rep had no idea of any limit…until I directed him to the page that said “up to $40 max perks”. At first he said there was no limit, but after seeing that page he said it meant you’d only get $40 back. ??? still confused after reading the other comments!

    • Ginger

So, if it turns out that there is a 40$ limit, and I bought all my items with my existing Max Perks Rewards, do you think I could return something to get back down closer to 40$?

    • Jfo7717

They just added up to $65 dollars with a completely new batch of products (Expo boards, Sharpie markers, pens..etc.). They also have a deal with duracell batteries that will end up being only .1 cent. If I did the “$40” max rewards a few days ago and put in an order for the new $65 dollar one, will I still earn those rewards? Also, if I put the Duracell batteries in the same order online, will I qualify for those rewards?
