Just stocked up on soda from CVS the last couple of weeks.  I think I’ll take today off….Have a great day everyone.

Last week the sodas were on sale for 50 cents.  The Birmingham News Wednesday paper (for the Penny coupon) is 75 cents.  The sodas are regularly only 89 cents.  Strangely bad deal today.  Usually Publix rocks, so I don’t understand this one.  Passing on the penny item this week.

      Sooo,a paper’s 50 cents…that’s 51 cents for a 50 cents soda….mmmmm,no thanks.

High Fructose Corn Syrup Water at no actual savings…
Well, I didn’t want to go out today anyway. *shrugs*

Well I am glad the penny item is soda. We like the occasional soda as a treat and our small town once-a-week paper is free so it is a true penny item for me :) Not bragging, just wanted to add a positive comment to this page.

        I agree…we NEVER buy soda….I happen to have a party this weekend…so i guess we’ll have soda :-)

Well, I like this penny item.  It’s a cheap item, but we do drink Publix soda.  Most of the time, we wait till they’re on the .50 sale to buy them and then stock up.  If I had to buy a paper to get a coupon though, I wouldn’t bother.  Fortunately, here in Smyrna, TN, we don’t need a coupon.  You just make your $10 or more purchase and the penny item is yours.

I agree, it’s not worth a special trip. But if you have the paper and getting the gas card deal, then it’s just a nice extra. We don’t drink sugary sodas either, so I get the club soda. They come with flavors and no sugar!

Heads up for anyone in Cumming, Ga. The Publix at Exit 14 now requires you to have the coupon for the penny item. Oh well. It was nice while it lasted.

We don’t drink soda, but as a special treat I picked up the root beer – got some b1g1 Breyers vanilla ice cream too for a special root beer float treat surprise for my boys!

Do I need to circle the items I bought for the rebate? It doesn’t say to. I just know some rebates call for you to circle the qualifying item
