Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is a great way to use your couponing skills to make a difference in your community. The National Association of Letter Carriers is putting on a Food Drive that makes helping others super easy!

All you have to do is collect non-perishable food items and leave them in a bag by your mailbox TODAY. Your mail carrier will pick them up and take them to your local food bank or pantry to be distributed to those in need in your area!

Jenny! Thank you for reminding folks about this! I put my bag out a little while ago and it’s full! I am blessed to have a job and take care of myself and help my son. And by using coupons, I able to give back!! This is a good feeling for me. Life is good. Thanks again for posting this and I hope everyone puts a little something in that bag. The Bible says to feed those that are hungry..

    • I just had my daughters (5 and 2 ) help me raid our pantry. Thanks for the reminder.

I never got a bag or any type of notification on my mail.  Thanks to post like this one I was able to help.   By the way some post offices are also accepting the bags with food,  but check before you go as not all of them just the main offices.

Jenny, I’d like to thank you for all you do.  A friend showed me your site two years ago and I was instantly hooked.  Since then I’ve been able to slash my grocery bill in half, buy things for my family that we used to do without, and best of all, share my gift with others!   Today I placed a 4ft box out by my mailbox filled to the brim with things I’d scored for free or cheap.  I never would have been able to do this if it wasn’t for Southern Savers, so thanks!!!

Just so you all know, not only can you take food to the post offices (only ones with clerk service though) all this week, but your carrier will also pick things up the rest of the week.  They didn’t advertise this year like they usually do, or at least not here.  Both of my parents are carriers in Texas and my mother reminded me this morning.  Unfortunately it was after our mail had been delivered so I’ll be heading to the post office later this week.
