stamp out hunger

This is a reminder that tomorrow, Saturday 5/11, the Stamp Out Hunger campaign will celebrate it’s 21st year of collection, and it’s easy to participate! All you need to do is collect non-perishable food items, place them in a bag, and leave them out by your mailbox for your postal carrier to pick up Saturday.

The items will be donated to food banks and pantries. Perhaps you have too much of a particular item(s) thanks to couponing that you would be willing to donate!

There is a designated bag that some will receive in the mail today, but if you don’t receive the bag, it’s okay to use one that you have available on hand.

Some suggested items for donation include:

Peanut Butter
Canned Fish
Packaged Dried Fruits
Boxes of Cereal
Any kind of shelf stable item

For more information you can check out the Stamp Out Hunger website.
