Where do you find the “Discovering the Value of a Great Buy” booklet?  Is it at Walgreens?

    • Vicki

Looks like the Starbucks printable is gone…

      •  Look for a $1.49 Starbucks Refresher coupon in this Sunday’s paper (the Pepsico insert)

        • guest

Hold on to the Starbucks Refresher coupons.  The drink will be $.99 with a $.99 RR in a couple weeks.  Instead of just getting it for free, why not get paid to take it?

          • NewCouponer

hi, I have a FREE coupon for starbuck’s drimk.  Didn’t see the $1.49 coupon

          • Ebonyforte

Will the coupon still be good then? It expires on May 15th or 16th.

    • ann

In reference to your Rimmel sale scenario: it doesnt look like lip products are included. I could be wrong though. I hope Im wrong!

      •  Hi there, I’ve updated the scenario to include a mascara instead of the lip liner. Only a few cents more!

    • Brad

Watch out on the Dove, the one that you dont need to log in to print is limit 2 per shopping trip.  Not an issue at CVS since it tracks it but wouldn’t that mean the deal wouldn’t work at Walgreens since its transaction based?

      • guest

Yes, the deal won’t work at Walgreens since the coupons limit the consumer to 2 like coupons per transaction.  Hope Jenny corrects her deal idea with 4 coupons being used – it’s getting so difficult to use coupons and giving cashiers even more reasons to scrutinize coupon use is never a good idea.

        •  You could try using two of that printable coupon and two of the other printable coupon listed in the deal. Hope that helps!

    • guest

Depends also has a RR that’s shown online as a Bonus deal.  Depends Real Fit or Silhouette 3pk $4.49 with $3.50 RR.  It’s a great MM for those who have $3 coupons.

      • Jordyn’s mommy

can u tell me how u saw this? I can’t get it to show me any ad but the current one and not this one.  Is the depends deal now or for the ad above? thank you so much

        • Klynn

iheartwags will show you the next couple of weeks ad.

        • guest

The sneak peek ad for the bonus buys is available online at walgreens – just add
walgreens.shoplocal dot com in front of the rest of the url/walgreens/default.aspx?action=entryflash&sneakpeek=y&stop_mobi=yes&ec=hncx14303_sneakpeekbutton&adref=weeklyemail&ep_rid=AAYjAe&ep_mid=_BPmkP1B8irITD6

What are some good filler items – I can’t seem to find anything under $1?

      • Vicki

Sometimes Jello and/or store brand jello is really cheap! Try the food aisle for clearance…last week I got a bunch of dried fruit in little boxes for 25 cents each. Also, my Walgreens has 10 cent candy (Laffy Taffy) up by the register. And sometimes you can find really cheap pencils. HTH

      • Dnr888222

I just saw 25 cent tootsie pops at the front register this morning.

      • Kmm5355

They have  laffy taffy candies at the register for $0.17.  That is what I always use for fillers!

      • Stephanie

I always check the office suppy isle.  There are usually items for under a buck – erasers, pencils, little notepads, etc.

      • Anothertiredmom

I usually buy a gallon of milk as my filler item. I know, its not under a dollar but it’s usually the same price as the grocery store or cheaper and I rarely have a coupon for milk.  Last week a gallon of milk was on sale for $2.99. So, use last weeks RR as  this weeks milk coupon. I just can’t see wasting money on a filler item that I don’t need. .17 cents for “A” piece of candy, no way. It goes against my principle. Buy something you NEED instead. Just make sure it’s something that you usually can’t get a coupon for and that the price is in line with other stores.

        • Calhoun220

I tried to use a RR on Nestle Quik once. The register beeped and wouldnt take the RR.  We played around with my purchase and the RR finally took after the Nestle Quik was removed. If you read the fine print on the RR, it says it is not valid on dairy.

    • Mary

In my preview ad Reach Crystal Clean toothbrushes, Reach floss, and Listerine (small bottle), was $0.99.  There are some coupons out for $1.00/1  Reach toothbrushes.  So you just pay tax on them.  Oh if you recieved the catalina trigger saying wyb 2 or + Reach toothbrushes between 4-16-12 and 5-13-12, get between $1.00 – $3.00 back it excludes the Crystal clean toothbrushes.  I have to rework my scenerios…didn’t see that exclusion!

    • Jessica

There’s also a $1.00/1 on the Blue Diamond Almonds in the May Walgreens Book. Since these are BOGO does it take off $1 or $2? Not sure about that but either way its still a great deal!!

      • guest

The coupon for the Blue Diamond Almonds in the May book is for a different size — it’s for the 16oz bag.  The size that’s on B1G1 sale starting 4/29 is the 6oz can.  So, to answer your question, the May coupon will take a grand total of $0 off of the purchase.

    • Kitty

Had fun this morning at walgreens.
       I bought: a box of u by kotex 3.99
a container of dentyne gum 2.49
a bag of kettle chips 1.99
and two almond joys BOGO at.95 cents
      Used a U by Kotex $1 coupon
      Dentyne Ice $1 coupon
      Kettle Chips $1 coupon
and $5 in RR for last week
Paid .77 cents with tax and got back $4 in RR (3 from the tampons and 1 from the gum)  The cashier told me I did good lol :D

      • Shalwas

I was wondering about using the $3 RR from last weeks Kotex U to purchase this weeks Kotex U.  So it worked for you?

        • Kitty

I used the my Psoriasin RR not the Kotex one. I saw on youtube video that some ladies said they were using The Kotex RR, the $1 coupon and a filler item and getting another Kotex RR but I didn’t want to it try it.

          • Shalwas

Thanks for reminding me about the filler item.  I always forget about those and end up buying candy!

YouTube, huh?  I’ll have to check that out.

I’m new to Walgreens. How does their buy 1 get 1 deals work. The P&G has B1G1 free coupons on pantene and Walgreens has B1G1 50 off pantene this week. Can the two be combined?

      • mrn1

yes…they should give you the cheaper one for free, but sometimes the cashier will input the regular priced one for free.  If they were promo BOGO at Wags, you can also use a MQ BOGO and pay nothing but tax.  You can do it at CVS also, but RiteAid won’t let you.

        • rebecca

Hi, my father in law is the store manager of a rite aid and I know their coupon policy changed recently but to my understanding this is their BOGO policy:  You can use a BOGO coupon if an item is BOGO in the store but you cannot use 2 BOGO coupons on 2 items.  Their systems used to recognize thise before and you would get both items for free even though you were technically stacking coupons.  When they changed the policy they made it so that You could only use 1 BOGO coupon per every 2 items purchased.

Like I said, this is my understanding and I could be incorrect but this is how he explained it to me.

          • mrn1

            Rite Aid policy says
“Buy One Get One Free coupons cannot be used in conjunction with a Buy One Get One Free promotion”

You never could use 2 BOGO coupons on 2 items.  You used to be able to use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO promotion and pay nothing but tax, but according to their policy, you can no longer do that. Yes you can only use 1 BOGO coupon for every 2 items purchased…but only if the 2 items are not part of a BOGO store promotion.

            • mrn1

              Oops…had to edit.  l

    • Happy Couponer

I went to my Wags this a.m. and bought 5 boxes of Belvitas for a total
      of $15.  I then used 5 x $1 off coupons and my $5 RR didn’t print out.  :(
Did anyone else have this problem? The manager told me that some manufacturers require the $15 minimum to be AFTER coupons and some allow
the minimum to be before coupons.  I’ve never had this happen before.
Ended up having to return them.

      • guest

The RR wasn’t printing with the Belvita even without coupons being used.  (The minimum purchase the manager was referring to is usually a requirement that’s met after STORE coupons are applied.  Manufacturer’s coupons don’t affect the RR printing…)

        • Happy Couponer

Thanks for clearing that up!  I thought it was weird because I’ve never had the MQs make a difference before.  Maybe I’ll try again tomorrow and they’ll have the RR printing!

          • Calhoun220

I also bought 5 Belvita and used 5 qs. My RR didn’t print either.  The manager then came and tried ringing up 5 and then 6 Belvitas without the qs, and it still wouldn’t print the RR.  She took one of the Belvitas to the back and came back out with my RR.  I don’t know what she did.  So it must be a system error.

          • Calhoun220

My daughter went into Walgreens to try and get the Belvitas and used MQs. When the RR didn’t print, the clerk called the store manager.  The manager was very rude. My daughter asked for a refund and was given one but with no receipt.  She asked for one and the manager just walked away and refused to come back to the register.  None of the employees would give my daughter the managers name. My daughter called corp.  They informed her that the RR would not print unless the total was at least $15 AFTER MQs and they would be looking into the behavior of the manager.

As a side note, one of the managers from Walmart was in the store and overheard the whole thing.  He leaned over and whispered to my daughter to come to Walmart with her coupons. They would treat her right.  Went to another Walgreens and they informed us that the RR wasnt printing for the Belvitas.  They used the planters nuts to make the RR print.

            • Hannahcoupon11

I have also had so many issues with the people at Walgreens. They have been so rude to me. This is why I am switching to only CVS couponing.

    • Abbityler

for you atlanta area couponers that get the atlanta journal constitution on sunday.. my local walgreens is selling the double issue at 3.30 a discount off the 3.99 label price..didnt know if this is a mistake r the regular policy but thats how it rang up when they scanned the barcode..

    • Hollie Johnson

You can’t stack the $3 Kotex RR with the $1 Kotex coupon… The RR is a Man. coupon, not a store coupon. So I got $1 off the first box, and $3 off the 2nd. Not much of a deal in my opinion…

      • guest

Buy a “filler” item such as a clearance Easter candy for $.12.  Then you can use the $3 RR and the $1 manufacturer’s coupon in the same purchase.  That’s how Walgreens works.

      • Vicki

Hi Hollie – let me clarify that for you. Yes, the RR is theoretically a mfg Q. Each coupon must ‘attach’ to a product you’re buying. The RRs don’t attach to any ‘specific’ product; they will attach to anything, regardless of price. So in your scenario, your $1 coupon would attach to the Kotex. The RR would attach to anything else you bought, which is why we buy cheap ‘filler’ items, like candy, pencils, etc. Your problem was that the computer was attaching 2 Mfg Qs to one item and that won’t work. Does that make sense?

Basically speaking, if you have 20 coupons you MUST have 20 items…regardless of the price!!!! Walgreens is not as complex as most think! It’s pretty basic! CVS on the other hand…lets you use all kinds of coupons for a single item but…you are limited to how many items at that price you can buy!!! ie: head & shoulders- 3/$14 with $4 ECB…limit 1 with card. get it and go back next day to maybe put a few extra in stock while it’s cheap-nope you already got it! Walgreens on the other hand, has no reward card so you can buy it as often as you like with the limit being per transaction and not per sale.

        • guest

Walgreens will be rolling out a reward card nation-wide in September.  We’ll see how things will be changing…

anyone know what th( Pepsico Insert 4/29) is. THE ONE WITH THE for 1.49 off starbuck refreshers

      • VP22

It is a coupon insert that came in today’s paper.

        • Waxxyy1

          thanks

        • Mel

Here in Lakeland Florida, our insert didn’t have the 1.49 off coupon……… ours had a coupon that is for a FREE one, no strings attached…. just free up to 2.99 value.

    • Mcleodsc

Anyone try the Starbucks Refreshers yet?  I got one -Strawberry Lemonade and I hated the taste, grandson age 12 liked it, hubby said it was okay -he could take it or leave it.  Just wondering if I am the only one that did not like it!

      • sjgsjg

I tried the orange melon today and thought it was nasty,. glad it was free!  I have the pom one still in fridge and need to try it

      • Mel

I tried the orange melon………. gross, good thing they were free.  I also tried the Raspberry Pomegranite… at least that has a good initial flavor, but the aftertaste is worse than diet soda!  I am confident that this product will be short lived….

    • Klynn

can i use $3rr from kotex u on the depends being they are both kimberly clark?

      • Kitty

If you use the kimberly clark RR then you won’t get the RR for the Depends because their from the same company.

        • Klynn

          thanks

          • rebecca

I work at a walgreens and to answer your question yes you can.  Since they are considered separate “offers” it does not matter if they are made by the same company.  However, you could not use them kotex RR on the same type of kotex or the depends RR on any other type of Depends because those are considered the same “offer” and that would be coupon rolling.

I hope I was of assistance.

            • Danielleseniura

?? so i can’t  buy 1 kotex u and then use the RR on my next Kotex U?

            • guest

The RR won’t print on the second Kotex U if you do that. Walgreens has a pretty complex policy that can be found on this website. You may want to go over it if you haven’t already

For anyone that buys “The Greenville News”. There was a sign in Walgreens saying, starting next week they will cost $2.50. I may have to look into buying inserts online. Anyone have experience with this?

      • Kaoscasa

WOW!!!  Increasing by a dollar.  That’s a huge % increase!!!  I hope you read it wrong!!

        • Ejshone

I’m sure that’s what it said. I also heard a cashier mention it to someone as I was getting my paper and my cashier mentioned it to me as well.

      • chripet

Unfortunately, I paid $2.50 for my Greenville papers yesterday.  May be looking into other options.  That’s ridiculous.

        • Mbassett73

The Spartanburg Herald carries the same inserts as the Greenville News. They are $1.50 on Sunday.

      • Tammy Rodgers

I get the state and it is 3.00 on sunday.  It was suppose to be just during football season but they decided to keep it that way untill further notice.

      • cgmaynard

I stopped getting the Greenville News months ago because of the inconsistancy of the incerts. Sometimes they wouldn’t even have any in them. I live in Waterloo and I get the Index Journal. They started carrying SS inserts right before Christmas. So far never had a problem with getting the inserts that were suppose to be there. Also they only cost 1.50 on sunday.

    • Catbarnew

there is a buy 1 get 1 coupon in todays SS for the lady speed stick and regular speed stick

    • Zeb

I generally don’t go to Walgreens because they are usually wiped out of good sale items by 8 am on sunday.  Does anyone know if they offer rain checks, or is it a huge hassle if you ask for one?

      • Mel

you can get rainchecks, however they do not give register rewards with rainchecks, only sale price….

      • seg

They do offer rain checks and its usually not a problem at all.  I have had wonderful luck at our walgreens.  Hope it helps.

        • ZazzyZue

Rain checks good idea.  Also, find out when that certain store gets their truck in (deliveries).  This has worked well for me!! HTH

    • Tcmb04

Can’t get the coupon to come up on the Abreva it has the place to click for the coupon but only goes to home page(no coupon)

    • mrn1

Just wanted to point out to those of you who have tried the RR deal at Walgreens with the Belvita and didnt’ get the RR, it may related to the flavor you bought.  If you look at the ad it shows Golden Oat and the Golden Oat was the only flavor marked on the shelf at my store…the blueberry was not included.  I got the Golden Oat and it worked fine with coupons.  Not sure why they would exclude the Blueberry, but it looks like they did it purposely.

    • Angela

I tried to use the $2 off Rimmel Mascara coupon from All You and my Walgreens said I couldn’t use it because it says “Purchase at Walmart” on it…even though it says “manufacturer coupon” on it.  I have never tried to use a manufacturer coupon that listed a specific store on it, so I just wondered if other stores usually take them.  Thanks.

      • Bamasaver

I’ve had a cashier almost not accept one before, but the manager confirmed that it was OK since it didn’t say to redeem “only” at Walmart.

        • Angela

Thank you. Maybe I will try at another Walgreens. I thought it was ok, too, since it didn’t say “only walmart”.

      • april

That happen to me too. I didn’t feel like debating so I just another coupon for $1.00 less. But i’m going to try it again before the sale ends.

    • Ej1

Did the 3 scenario’s and worked great. I got the waterproof mascara and the clerk said it wouldn’t work because I had to buy the “Scandalous eye’s” one. I offered to go get but he gave in and punched it through. I think the line forming behind me helped. Just wanted to point out transaction #3 should read $2.08 due, not $ .08.

      • Hilton

It’s so hard to have customers like you that instead of making everybodys life easier u made them worse.

    • seg

I live in south Texas. Our Walgreens had some Pantene conditioner marked down to 2.49 for the larger ones.  I had a buy one get one free.  1.50 for each. Not too bad.  Plus they had alot of clearance items.  Dig deep… good deals. :)

    • seg

Another deal… (I think)  Walgreens has buy two clean and clear products get 4 regrewards.  In the coupon data base you can find a dollar off one (can print two per computer). They are 5 each -1 makes them 4 each.  Spend 8 dollars plus get the rw like getting them for 2.00 each.

    • ZazzySue

Has anyone gotten the Hersheys RR for $7 yet?  I was wondering if it exp in 2 weeks, like all the others.  That’s a lot of candy!!

    • wendyc

Sorry I am so late posting this but my Walgreens in VA had the whole GOT2B line priced at 5.99 BOGO so if anyone has any of those GOT2B $3.00 off coupons left it would make for a great deal!! I am in Hampton roads va.  Have fun shopping!
