Wow! Where do you get the coupon booklet?

      • This is their monthly coupon booklet. You should find it right next to the weekly ad in your stores.

    • Jenni

Awesome! I have low arches, so those profitable hidden arch supports would be awesome!

    • Jenni

Will I need a filler item? Should I use the manufacturer or the store coupon first? Manu, right?

      • millie

probably. i was there today and i had more coupons than items, wags and mfc, so i needed just a small something, i think it is wags that has rulers for 9 cents.

        • Jenni

          Thanks for the tip!

    • Mccool2009

tried to buy the hidden arches alone for $6.99 with the 2 coupons and they would not let me……….

      • millie

        why not?

      • nurseteri

They would not let me use the manufacturers coupon on the arch supports so I bought the full support. I wore them in my “work” shoes tonight and my feet have never hurt this bad. I had to soak them !

    • ireneY

I tried it already this morning. The July booklet Q only took off $5. I asked the manager and he said it's limit 1 coupon per item, per customer.

At the time, there were about 10 packs of the Pilot pens at the counter. The manager said someone just returned them all because they could only use one July booklet Q. I thought that sounded fair, so I didn't press it.

      • artmommy222

Seems like each Walgreens makes up their own rules. The Walgreens I go to most often lets you use a store coupon for multiple items. (i.e. I bought 2 of the pilot pens, and got the $1 off for each of them by showing the coupon once.) Another Walgreens in my town gave me some kind of run-around once about not being able to get RRs if I pay with different RRs, so I figure they are one of the 'strict' stores, and I don't go to that one anymore.
I'm gonna try this Dr. Scholls deal at my store.

      • Sean

You need a small filler item such as a 9 cent folder or highlighter to absorb the 2 cents overage from using all three coupons. The price for 2 is $13.98. Using 2 mfc and 1 store comes to $14.

      • Mcleodsc

I bought 2 of the pilot pens yesterday and the register only took off for one using the coupon in the July booklet. I had to figure it out once I got home- I would have just bought one pen in the transaction and purchased another on another day.

    • Erin Wuestefeld

Our Walgreens will not allow printable coupons anymore because they were scammed recently.

      • Jenni

I don't know about you, but now that Rite Aid has upped it's game, Walgreens is going to have to fight to stay relevant in the drugstore competetion – and a BIG step would be getting a final coupon policy that -includes- printable coupons nailed down and listed on their website for all to see. They shouldn't just “throw the baby out with the bathwater.”(And they need to quit counting RRs as coupons! CVS and Rite Aid don't do that!) *rant over*

      • Jenn

That is really sad. Many stores say “no coupons that give you straight-out free, but a buy one get one free is allowed.” Many high-dollar printable coupons that say “free” (such as Pepsi) are fakes. But to not allow printables at all truly is sad. Look at Keebler. They advertise on posters to look online. Buy milk and a box of Keebler cookies, get a second box free. It isn't really that great a deal (B1G1 only if you buy milk, too), but many people use it. To ban it because they were scammed is unfair. (Taking my leave off soapbox!)

        • Calistapatt

It really is sad. It would be nice if ALL stores accepted a coupon card….this would be like a debit card, and could be used at any store, not a diff card for each store….then you could load the q's directly to your card, then scan your card and it would be valid, if it was on the card…..then the store would not have to fool with paper coupons, it would be an electronic file submitted monthly to a clearing house account, save time, frustration, money, and trees!! But what do I know?

          • Jenni

I don't know. I'm sure scammers would find a way to hack that system too.

        • Jenni

Just a quick note – Bi-Lo has Oreos BOGOF (advertised) and if you use the BOGOF coup, all you pay for is the milk. A good cashier will know this. Even though they ring up half price, the cashier can adjust it so that you don't pay for any of the cookies. I got SIX free packages of Oreos the other day just for buying milk that we would need anyway, plus what I did pay went towards Fuel perks. It's possible that you could combine this with the tearpad coups for 1.50 off PET ice cream (which is also BOGOF) when you also buy PET milk, and end up getting free cookies and .50 cent PET ice cream for the price of PET milk. (I skipped the PET deal, personally.)

    • Nathan

Walgreen's has a pretty strict policy with respect to the ratio of manufacturer coupons to items bought. You cannot use 3 coupons, but only buy 2 items. It has to be AT LEAST 1:1

The coupons in the July coupon book say that they are manufacturer coupons in the fine print, so throw in one of the 9¢ highlighters to balance the ratio out.

Even still, I'm very skeptical about the scenarios above. First of all, I've looked through 2 July Walgreen's coupon books, and do NOT have a $5 off coupon. It's not in there. Secondly, even if it was, using the same coupon for 2 items, then stacking the book coupon with printables seems like it could be risky.

Getting this one to work right seems like a long shot.

      • Sshoulders

The $5 off coupon is in my Walgreens July coupon book. It is 5 or 6 pages from the back.

      • Jenni

Greenville, SC Wags coupon booklets have it in them. Five pages from the back cover, bottom right coupon.

        • Nathan

Ahh, sorry. You're right, it's in there. I'm gonna head to Walgreen's tomorrow to try this one out.

I'll probably have 2 of the $5 coupons ready to use, in case it doesn't ring up as $10. I'll also have a couple of the highlighters ready, just in case. If it works the first time, I'll try the other scenarios. I have some RR from yesterday, so this should be $0 out of pocket for me, regardless of the scenario. Might even be able to get a couple cans of free beans too.

      • Jenn

Nathan, I agree that Wags has a strict ratio policy, BUT they have always told me I can use a manufacturer's coupon AND a store coupon at the same time. However, I've always used a filler item to balance it out.

        • kjmiller

So, even though the Wags booklet coupon is a mfr coupon, they let you use it with a “regular” mfr q?

    • Guest

Does the RR print for the rough skin eraser it is not shown on the pictures and the wording says participating products. Has anyone tried specifically.

      • courtney_80

worked for me this morning! :)

      • Richfolk5too

Yes, I received RR when buying 2 rough skin erasers.

    • Lisia Bjorklund

you can print 6 per computer on some of the coupon. Are the RR limited to a number of times yuo can get the reward like CVS?

    • Medanielle1

I have a math degree and I can't figure out Walgreens. I seem to always get screwed on a deal somehow or another. And the whole deal with having to have a filler item because they make their RR a “mfr coupon” is just MEAN! The Rite-Aid across the street lets you use in-ad coupon, mfr coupon AND video values on the same item, plus I can use UP rewards on top of that! Sorry to rant, it is just that Wags is the least user friendly store for couponers and it has become too much of a frustration for me to even consider it, even if it is “free”.

      • Jenni

Agreed! If Walgreens wants to stay competitive, they are REALLY going to have to fix their many anti-couponing, anti-customer policies, and get a set policy for all stores, so that we aren't at the mercy of that particular store manager's mood/lack of coupon knowledge.

        • Last week I had 15 items and 15 coupons – several of which were RRs, The register WOULD NOT take the last two RR. Cashier played with it for about 10 minutes trying to make it work, then called over the manager. Manager spent about 20 mintues looking at it and couldn't figure out why. I finally ended up adding two MORE filler items just to make it work. I don't mind following the rules at all, but it seems like even the managers can't figure out what exactly the Walgreen's rules are. This week, the RR for the Dr. Scholl's products wouldn't print. They said to try later in the week. I wish they would just add a loyalty card program and drop the hoops!! Everyone has been really nice, but I just don't have 20 or 30 extra minutes every week to try to figure out why their own offers and deals aren't working. There – I feel better now!

          • farcoup

WOW! I'd be willing to bet that this is what happened. Walgreens policy is 1 coupon per item specified on the coupon. So, if 2 of your coupons were for 2 items like $1 off 2 items. The register would count 2 items for that one coupon. Therefore, you would have to get 2 filler items to compensate. Even though you only had 15 items, the register is looking for 17 products. Let me know if this is correct.

            • Rebecca

I BET you are right! I always have trouble w/ Wags because it is never consistent for me. I never thought of that. I'll keep that possibility in mind for next time. I try to avoid wags as much as possible because I consider it to be “not worth the trouble”. Sometimes the deals are just to good to ignore, though. My lack of experience (with that store) puts me at a disadvantage (even though I know my way around couponing VERY well).

        • Dixie

Thank goodness for CVS! I would be heartbroken without one.

      • Boo2010

I couldn't agree more!! Each week I have to decide whether it's worth it and even find myself dreading going into the store because I know what a struggle it's going to be. I have been playing the Walgreens game for a few months now and literally there have been only two instances where I was able to complete my transactions without the cashier having to call the manager over!!!

    • Lrae17

Do you pick up the Walgreens Coupon book at their store?

      • Pvfishy

        Yes

    • Pvfishy

Scenario Idea #1 didn't work, I ended up paying $6.38 for the two inserts and got $5 back in register rewards. The $5 off Dr. Scholl's Products, July Walgreens Coupon Booklet didn't take off $10 it only took off $5.

      • Tala

Did you use a filler? Since 6.99*2=13.98 and you already used $4.00 from printable, it would take only $5.00.

      • Jenni

Curious if you had other items in transaction as well. Going to try this tomorrow, I hope, but planning on having some school supply items mixed in as well.

        • Jenn

I agree with Jenni. In fact, here's my transaction plans:
          1) Get (1) Hidden Arches, (1) Skin Eraser Cream, (1) 9-cent school item. Use $2/1 coupon. Pay $2.05 plus tax. Get $5 RR.
          2) Get (1) Hidden Arches, (1) Skin Eraser Cream, and enough school supply deals to equal to over $3.05. Use the newly-acquired $5 RR, pay difference plus tax. (Use calculator!) Get another $5 RR!
          3) Buy (2) Blister Sticks, plus enough school supply deals to equal to over $3.03. Use the -$5 RR. Pay difference plus tax. Walk out with ANOTHER $5 RR!!
The idea is to get my school supplies for virtually nothing, and still have $5 in RR to do with as I like. (I NEVER would have thought of this without you, Jenni. Thanks very much!) My last ones actually expired, so I've decided not to leave a bunch around anymore.

          • Jenn

Sorry, no Edit here. Mistake on #2 — Forgot to say use $5 RR AND the other $2/1 q for the Hidden Arches. Hoping that makes a difference!

          • Ginger

Hi, sorry, I just jumped in to this discussion right now, so I may be missing something, BUT: If your plan is to use the 5$RR from Dr Scholl's on another Dr Scholl's and get back the another RR, you can't. You can't use an RR from the same manufacturer and get back another RR from that manufacturer, their system won't alow it. Sorry if I'm misunderstanding, it's pretty late, but I also know how embarassing it is to walk in thinking you've got it all planned out, and then have it all go wrong on you. :)

            • Diane

You are right; if you use the RR from Dr. Scholls in the next transaction for Dr. Scholl's you won't get another RR. At Walgreen's, they never roll. They won't ever let you use the same manufacturer's RR and get another.

      • Jenn

I can't figure out for the life of me how they came up with that cost. Next time something like that happens, CANCEL THE TRANSACTION til you can find out what went wrong and fix it. I was nervous about doing that in the beginning, but now I think, “This is money I'm losing” and I feel better!
If you still have your receipt, would you let us know what it says? I'd love to help you figure this out. I bet it was a cashier error. (Don't be shy about asking for the manager, either. I've seen the manager take advantage of these specials, too!)

      • Jenn

Omg, I just figured out how it came to $6.38. How much is state tax? They charged you 10% state tax. I just read, further down, that someone was told that they will only allow one $5 off store coupon, so when you presented with the two $2 off coupons, that came to 13.98-5-4=$4.98. Tax is applied from the original price of $13.98. 10% is 1.40; $4.98+1.40=$6.38, exactly what you were charged! Well, now we know. :(

    • Lisia Bjorklund

How many times can you get a rr for an item?

      • Wag Mgr Anonymous

ONCE per transaction. Also you can't turn around and buy this same product with your newly printed RR and expect to get another one. The RR system is not set up to work like that.

    • Melissa

I think a better idea is to just buy the 6.99 for her insoles and use the 2.00 printed q and the 5.00 wags q and it is still free.

      • dharvn

You have to have $10 worth of Dr. Schols to get the $5 Reg Rewards bucks.

    • laura

So is everyone saying that we need a filler to get $10 off instead of just $5? or are some cashiers scanning it twice?

      • Ginger

That seems right to me. Glad someone below pointed that out, or I never would have thought of it. :)

    • MaryT

When I clicked on Jenny's link above for the printable “For Her Insoles” coupon, I was automatically taken to the Dr. Scholl's website after my coupon printed. I clicked on the link on the left of that page for “Back Pain Relief” and, on the page it took me to, there is ANOTHER SEPARATE coupon for $2 off “any Dr. Scholl's Pain Relief Orthotic”, which also prints twice! Gives you more options for which Dr. Scholl's things to buy!

      • Raynesmw

Very nice! I found a $2 q for the a “sooth my sole micro file” on that website. Gotta go to Walgreens now. :-)

    • Raynesmw

hey, I've got a general question about Walgreens couponing. Will they let you use more than 1 of there RR if they are from the same product? Like if I want to use 2 of the 3.50 toothpaste RR's on 2 DiGer. Pizzas, will they let me? Thanks!

      • Diane

That is fine, as long as you have no more than 2 coupons (including the RRs) for 2 products. Otherwise, you'll need small fillers.

      • Wag Mgr Anonymous

YES as long as your transaction was at least $7.00 before tax according to this scenario. Those RR's are yours to use as you please. Also, you can only use one coupon per item per transaction. Example: you can't use two coupons for one pizza, but in this case with the two RR's from the toothpaste, you could buy one pizza and one pack of gum and this will work (as long as the transaction is $7).

    • Dixie

Nice! Does WG have the booklets there or are they mailed out?

      • shelly

They are usually found on the rack with the current week's sale flier.

    • Ctrinkle

It is intersting to me how every Walgreens seems to be so different. I actually bought three of the pilot pens yesterday and used 2 of the $1 printable coupons and then handed the cashier the WAGs book and it took another $3 off. So I actually made money on the deal. I had a ton of cheap school supplies so filler items were no problem.

    • kjmiller

Anyone else having trouble printing the $2 q from the link? Mine is printing at the bottom of the page and cutting off about the bottom 5% of the coupon (most of the bar codes are there so I don't know if it would work anyway..)

      • MaryT

Mine printed fine — probably the settings for your printer. Our old one used to cut off all the edges when we photocopied — seemed to have a smaller print area than most programs.

        • kjmiller

Hmm.. I agree it probably has to do with my printer settings (although generally I don't have problems). Unfortunately when I print from the link, my printer dialogue window never comes up (i.e. I never have the chance to tweak the settings).

      • Krystalkoupons

My printer is doing the same. I changed the layout on my computer and it still didnt work.

      • Sam

I'm having the same problem…but I can't get ANY of the barcode to print…If you figure it out, PLEASE let me know as well!!! :)

    • kristy

My Walgreens would not let me use the $5 coupon from the July coupon book for the massaging gel insoles. They said the messaging gel was an actual massaging gel, but when they took me back to show me, of course they couldn't find it.

      • kimana517

LOL. That is so stupid of them. Have they not seen any of the “Are you gellin'?” commercials where it is clearly massaging gel INSOLES that Dr. Scholl's sells? Oh, Walgreens cashiers, be careful or your creative idiocy will reach Walmart cashier levels. ;o)

      • dharvn

They are really dumb. Massaging Gel is a registered trademark name not a gel. It has the little “R” in a circle beside it.

      • Nancy

I was just there and was told I could not use the coupon from the WAGS book if I was using RR's….I still managed to get a pair of insoles for 7.92 and get back $5.00 in RR's so I am pretty happy with $3 insoles BUT, they aren't even CLOSE to CVS for customer service (in my opinion).

        • Nathan

The inconsistency is definitely annoying, but one thing Walgreen's has that others (CVS, Rite Aid) don't is the fact that their rewards aren't limited. I can go through the line as many times as I want, and as long as the item is in stock and I have the coupons, they deals keep working.

It's even better when they 2 moneymakers in the same week. You just stagger your purchases, using the RR from 1 transaction to pay for the next, etc., until you run out of coupons.

          • Illystra

this is the one reason i don't like Wags as much, because then people like me that only want that deal once don't get it because people make many multiple transactions for the same thing and everything is sold out.

            • Guest

If it makes you feel any better, they won't let people do that at my Wags. They just point to the “limit” in the ad, and won't let you do the deal again.

            • Nathan

FWIW, I never “clean out” a store's inventory. That would be rude. I try to get there early in the week (Sunday, if possible) so that once I get a few of each item, and then everyone else comes and cleans them out, they have a chance to re-stock before the end of the week.

Really though, all the store's should try to do a better job of stocking up on sale items.

            • JessR2

you are right! My Wags is ALWAYS sold out of the “free” items… and lots of times out of the sale items….they seriously need to get more when they are planning a sale.
I truly feel like there are people who “clean them out” – unless they only had 1 or 2 in stock to begin with! :(

      • Jenni

Okay, not only is there no weight listed (such as with the Skin Eraser Cream) on the coupon next to Massaging Gel, but everyone should know by now that Massaging Gel is a registered trademark with Dr. Scholl's, and pertains to the inserts. I hope to find more intelligent cashiers at the Wags I try, or else to enlighten them.

        • Jenni

I had very polite cashiers, who let me use the Wags coupon, plus a $3 coup from All You, but I did not get my RR because supposedly it's not the retail price, but the subtotal that caused the RR to print. I am going to call corporate and ask them to fix this since it doesn't say it anywhere in the store or the ad that this is how it is. I am very unhappy. And I am sick of trying to MAKE Walgreens worth going to. I am almost always disappointed, it seems.

      • Kchinchi

They said the same to me, but because their $5 coupons do not specify a specific massanging gel, I debate that! it's not my fault, It's not your fault!, it could be any of the massanging gel products! The coupon only said Massing gel. at the end the manager wasn't happy with me, she would only let me use one $5 coupon!, I told her that I was buying two products, that's more than $10, I must receive my $5 RR! she try no make me pay $8, I told her, OK, I'm going to send my receipt to the corporate office! After that my $5 RR magically appear!!…

    • Kelly Haskell

Question: Will Walgreen let you use (2) $5 July coupons and (2) Dr Scholls coupons to get the $5 RR?

      • Lerleybell45

        Mine did!

    • I was able to get the Eraser. Buy: (2) Dr. Scholl’s Rough Skin Eraser Cream 3 oz., $6.99
      Use:
-$5 off Dr. Scholl’s Products, July Walgreens Coupon Booklet (will take off $10)
Total Due: $1.98 I used 2 RR from the Nutri Grain Deal.
      Get Back: $5 RR

    • Cakewalkingmother

I tried this scenerio today. I was able to use the (2) $2.00 off Q's and (1) $5.00 WAGS Q but, the $5.00 off only processed once? I did receive $5.00 RR. Is there a limit to this deal? Should I be refunded?

      • Cakewalkingmother

Spoke to the manager and she refunded my money. She said that there wasn't a limit on the Dr. S's Q from WAGS:)

    • Julie

Has anyone been able to get the 5.00 off for 2 hidden arches on the same transaction? I am thinking that 2 x 6.99=13.98 -2.00-2.00 Coupons= 9.98 -(walgreens 5.00 book coupon) will come to 4.98 and the second 5.00 coupon won't work because it exceeds the value. A filler of .02 or more is needed. Has anyone had any luck with the filler and it taking both 5.00 Walgreens coupons??

      • courtney_80

i just did this twice this morning (the scenario #1 Jenny posted). I purchased 2 of the hidden arch supports at $6.99 each. i gave the cashier my two IP coupons for $2 off each one and then handed her the wags coupon book q for $5 off one last, which took off $10 since i purchased two of them. got my $5 RR each time with no problems or beeps. i did make several other purchases in each transaction for other freebies/RR's to absorb the extra .02 without an issue.

      • Katie

I did! My store didn't have the RR sign up for the hidden arches but I tried it anyways. I had other items so I did not have to worry about a filler item. I used two $2 coupons and one of the $5 Walreens coupons and it automatically counted it as $10. And I did get the $5 RR!

    • jen r

i just came back from walgreens and scenario #1 worked for me! i bought 2 hidden arches and i bought an eraser (.29) just in case although i don't even know that i needed to…
      $6.99 x 2
      – (2) $2.00 coupons
      .29 eraser
and it automatically rang up the $5.00 wags coupon to $10.00
no problems! my total was less than $2.00 and the RR printed!

I was able to use two 5.00 coupons- I just picked up a 2nd coupon from booklet at the front and added in some of the folders for 0.09-needed for school anyway. Used both $2.00 Dr. Scholl's coupons and the two $5.00 off coupons- worked just fine.

    • Raynesmw

No luck w/ this at all today. First the coupon only states certain items. The reg would not take it off of “gels” even though it says that on there. The clerk and manager had no clue and after 15 minutes of the reg beeping, I said forget it. It just wouldn't work. I got my Dig. pizzas and left. I really think they need to be more consistent.

    • lenore

just got back from walgreens and did the Dr Scholl's scenerio. It didn/t print my $5.00 rr and the manager said because I got it free I don't get the reward!!! boo-hoo I think than't wrong. Who can I call?

      • Jenni

Call corporate. PERHAPS that might help.

        • Tina

Corporate will tell you that they have guidelines, but no policy. Managers and cashiers can decide in most cases how they apply. But the RR I don't think are programed by the stores. Once an advertised special didn't print the RRs and it was like that in all the stores nationwide. I think alot of times it's the order you give the cashier the coupons. Let her ring up the items, then give the store in ad coupons, then manufacture, then any RR you may have. They do not allow you to have more coupons than products.

    • Ktillot

Hey guys, I just wanted everyone in Spartanburg, SC to know the Walgreens in Cedar Springs allowed me to buy the two Dr. Scholl's products ($6.99 each), use the two $5 off store coupon AND the $2 off printable coupons. Now, it took a minute for them to figure out how to let the computer do it, but it did finally work. Basically, since I had $14 off and the total was $13.98, I had to buy something else (a Reeses cup) and then it worked. So, I paid $1.51 (that's the tax and the $0.65 remaining from the Reeces cup). It was definitely worth it to get my $5 RR that I went back and got the Colgate toothpaste and some gum (filler), paid $0.70 and got back the $3.50 RR. It was a good day!

    • Susan

I just returned from a trip to Walgreens in Knightdale, NC and tried the same scenario as Lenore with the same results. I ask the asst. manager didn't she have to give me the register reward since it was advertised. She replied that she couldn't because the would be like giving it to me for free(even though they do that very thing almost every week with RR's). Will be complaining to corp. just to see what response I get.

    • Shannon

Hi All I went to 3 different Walgreens today and had th same result with all. They are not printing the register rewards if you use coupons. When speaking with the manager she showed me an e-mail from their corporate office that stated that if the consumer bought the items advertised and used no coupons the RR would print because you “spent” $10. BUT if you bought the items and your subtotal was $10 then you used the Walgreens or the printable coupon you would not be eligible for the RR because you did not “spend” $10.

      • Jenni

I had the same experience. This deal does NOT work out to be profit. Free, if you are lucky, but not profit.

    • Ruth

I tried Scenario #1 today this afternoon. The computer and the cashier would not accept the $2 Qs for the For Her Insoles because it said that the item was not being purchased. The hidden arch supports are not an “insole.” The cashier was very nice and I politely said that if I couldn't use the coupons, I was going to pass on the items. The weird thing is that the register still printed the $5RR, even though the transaction was not completed, and then the cashier gave me the RR even though I didn't buy anything! But I would still like to see if I could get the arch supports at a different Walgreens. Did anyone else have trouble using those Qs for the arch supports?

      • Snooksjim

Just got back from WAG in Ballentine, SC and it worked for me.I purchased 2 hidden arch supports (7.49 each )used 2 Q and the walgreen coupon. It took $10 off. Total 2.03 including tax and got $5 RR. Making $3 sure does make me smile!!! Thanks Jenny!

      • dharvn

Worked at my Walgreens too in SC. I bought 2 hidden arch @6.99each & a pk of sheet protectors @ .29/cents. Both $2 cpns scanned and the Wag's cpn took off $10, plus my $5 RR printed with no problems at all.

I just noticed that the cpns do say insoles, I wonder if it makes a difference to Dr. Scholls.

      • Ruth

Update: I tried a different Walgreens this morning. The register again didn't want to take it, so the cashier called the manager over. He made it work by changing the price of each item to $7.00 (.01 more), and then first scanning the 2 manufacturer coupons and THEN the store coupon. High marks to the Punta Gorda (FL) Walgreens for being very nice!

    • Nancy

I went to Walgreens this morning and tried Scenario 1 only to give up after the cashier told me I didn't have the right coupons to make the deal work (I did).

Then this evening I went into my local Rite Aid and bought a Zegerid and Motrin PM for 78 cents after Q's ( I have 20% off everyday on my wellness card). Then for transaction 2 bought a big pack of Pampers (70 count) and a sack of Huggies wipes (216 count) for less than $6 after Q's and UP's rewards!

      Walgreen's Who????? LOL

    • Amy

Walgreens makes me so crazy. There are 2 in my town that I go between. I was trying to get diapers cheap to go with a friend's baby shower gift so I was excited to see this post before I went out tonight. The first store I went to was pretty much out of everything but the stickers were everywhere, “Buy $10 in Scholl's get $5RR…” The second store had several items still in stock but the stickers were few. So it was hard to tell which items were “participating” (as stated in the ad). Not only that, this store's stickers did NOT say anything about buying $10 worth of products. I don't like having RRs sitting around expiring anyway so I just bought two of the Rough Skin erasers to get one $5 RR. So that transaction came to $4.89 (got $10 off from the booklet) then I got a pack of diapers and a pack of wipes (had $2 off Qs for each) so that came to $3.33. So, in the end, all of that was cheaper than just the pack of diapers.

    • guest

my walgreens register wouldn't take the 2.00 qs; manager said it was wrong item because it's not an “insole”…never have these problems at CVS :(; thanks anyways.

      • dharvn

if they won't take the $2 cpn, buy the colgate @3.49, use your colgate cpn, and get $3.50RR back. then use your $3.50RR to buy 2 Hidden arch @ 6.99. scan the $5 wag cpn. $10 will come off the total, your total will .48cents + tax.

    • Chinchillachirinos

They said the same to me, but because their $5 coupons do not specify a specific massanging gel, I debate that! it's not my fault, It's not your fault!, it could be any of the massanging gel products! The coupon only said Massing gel. at the end the manager wasn't happy with me, she would only let me use one $5 coupon!, I told her that I was buying two products, that's more than $10, I must receive my $5 RR! she try no make me pay $8, I told her, OK, I'm going to send my receipt to the corporate office! After that my $5 RR magically appear!!…

      • dharvn

you only needed one $5 coupon from the book. once they scan it, they can't control how many times it subtracts $5. i bought 2 hidden arch and some sheet protectors for .29/cents…. $10 came off.

Just make sure you have a cheapo item to make up the difference because 6.99-2.00=4.99. 4.99×2=9.98 so you are 2/cents short of $10.

    • Faith

I went to my Walgreens today and they made me feel like I was stealing their merchandise! I had one messaging gel for $6.99 and I used the $5 Walgreen coupon and a $2 man. coupon. I wasn't even going after the RRs! She said she could not take it because I would be taking money from the store…one cent!! I just hate the way they make you feel when using coupons! Does anyone else feel this way? :(

      • Tina

The funny thing about Walgreens is that THEY HAVE NO CORPORATE POLICY. I have 4 in my town and get a different response from each of them. They have guidelines only and each store manager can (or cashier) decide how to apply them. You can ask the cashier to change the $$$ off the coupon to not go over the price. That sometimes works. On another website, hip2save.com, they call 4 different Walgreens stores and then corporate and you wouldn’t believe the different answers she gets. The only rules that I know of that are the same in every store is: you can’t use more coupons then the number of products you buy. Their in ad coupons don’t seem to count, but the RRs do. Some people buy .50 cent filler items to make the count right. You can’t roll RR from transaction to transaction for the same item. ie if you buy 3 of an item and you split them up…if you use the RR from the first transaction on the 2nd and new RR will not print. It’s ok if you use different items.

      • Sdurden22

Walgreen's is the WORST store as far as using coupons. I never have a problem with any coupons at Publix, CVS or Rite Aid. But Walgreen's presents a problem everytime! I have never not had a problem with my coupons at Walgreens. I am getting tired of it. In terms of drug stores, Rite Aid is by far the best with coupons and not fussing over them.

        • Amt1218

I think it really depends on the cashier or/and manager of the stores. Wags was great to me today. I had to take back a couple of items due to them overcharging me on one.. and my mistake on another. They gave me no problems whatsover. There was one item they had charged me regular price for.. I had so many items and coupons that it was difficult for them to tell if they had taken the extra $$ off. I knew because I keep track of what coupons I use. The manager was looking for it and then said… we'll just go ahead and refund you the full amount….I then did my deals and everything was good. NOW, when I go to Rite Aid I always have problems. They do not know much about the new rewards printed out. I had gotten one from purchasing Pantene and they kept trying to tell me I had to use the coupon on Pantene. I finally got them to do it, but took a lot of explaining. Rite Aid also makes me feel very uncomfortable as if I am doing something wrong. CVS is better I hardly ever have problems with them.

      • Nashville Anonymous

This did not work because your transaction BEFORE tax came out to $6.99 total. Your coupons totaled $7. This is an impossible transaction for any register. If you had purchased a pack of gum or something making the transaction slightly over $7…your transaction would have had no problem working. Think about the math before complaining and your life will become much easier.

        • joanne in w cobb

Even so they didn't have to make her feel that way. What would have hurt for them to be more customer friendly and courteous? She won't likely want to go back to that Walgreens. I wouldn't. I often get flustered when trying to check-out. Trying not to hold up the check out line. Making sure I'm trying to follow all the guidelines. Sometimes it just isn't that cut and dry. :)

        • pleasebkind

That's not true. It depends on the store. I was at Publix last week and had already made my purchases when I asked for a rain check for the Bic razors. The store had them behind the counter, because people were taking too many, and when I purchased 4 with coupons, she told me, “I owe you money.” I told her that I'd buy something so that she wouldn't have to pay me, but she told me that wasn't necessary and gave me money back.

      • Melissa

I work for Walgreens. I am sorry that the casher gave you a hard time. I like saving people money!!

      • Brady's Mom

I live in South Florida, I went today, bought (2) massage gel inserts, like the ad said. I tried to use (2) -$2 Q that were printed off internet….. they would not accept, stating, “we DO NOT ACCEPT” printed coupons, when did this start ? Anyway, it gets worse, the Walgreens July coupon book Q or -$5 would not work twice (for each one) either. Finally, we had to not use the -$2 manu Q's and just the Wags -$5 q's, but it would take only one of them. Cashier had to call mgr over, he made her input it as a manu Q, but then did not print RR. SUCKED !!! I dislike Wags VERY MUCH. I will not go back again, unless they are giving away the kitchen sink. Stick with CVS, much easier !

    • Kb

Had a great wags trip this evening…
      transaction 1
2 kelloggs fiber plus bars 2 for $5
      2 dr scholl's skin eraser $5.99 ea
      1 pilot pen 2pack 19cents with in store q.

      used
-$5 off Dr. Scholl’s Products, July Walgreens Coupon Booklet (will take off $10)
(2)-$2 off dr scholl's any orthotic relief
-$1/2 kelloggs fiber bars from 7/18 parade.

      total 2.19

got back 5RR scholl, 2RR kelloggs bars!!!!

YES, that's right, those AWESOME kelloggs bars are giving back 2RR!!!!! making them $1 a box!

      • Elizabeth

The Kelloggs Nutrigrain bars are also giving back RR's!

    • Susiesdelights

Could someone tell me where I can get my Walgreens coupon booklet for July?

      • Lori

Look for it at the front of the store near the weekly ad.

        • Susiesdelights

          Thank you, Lori…

    • Rebecca

I love this site. My mom lives in Michigan and want to know if there was a northern version of this site?

      • Loritamickcush

I live in Oregon and use this site for the stores we have which are listed: Walgreens, Rite Aid and Target. The sales and deals are the same.

      • mom_4_Him

I am not sure where in MI she is at, but Bargains to Bounty is a metro Detroit based site, and they seem to be great!! We are from Sterling Heights, and all of our family is still up there. HTH

    • Mayh

Walgreens in Columbia SC that I went to were fine taking my $2 coupons but the register didn't take the 2nd $5 off– the cashier said she wouldn't cuz the coupon says “1 per customer per transaction” ugh!!

      • dharvn

i'm in columbia and i didn't have a problem… did you purchase a filler item like everyone has suggested?

    • Brownebaby

My walgreens coupon didnt double either :( not a money maker for me.

    • KC

I usually always have trouble at Walgreens too, but today it was smooth sailing. I was able to get the Dr. Schols deal. I used (2) mfr q's and one of the $5 store q's that automatically took off $10. They have the highlighter for .09 which makes a great filler for the .02 overage. Also, at my store the arch supports didn't have a sign that they were eligible for RR, but it did give me back the $5 RR. I was able to use the $5 RR on a pack of pampers and tub of wipes. Stacked with my $3 off pampers and wipe q and a .50 off wipes q, I paid $3.07 before tax for the diapers and wipes.

      • Katie Turner

Where did you get the $5 store q?

        • Babsabbies

It is in a walgreens coupon booklet that is usually in the front of the store near the sale ads! They are all store q and there are new ones out every month! If you still can't find them ask a cashier they should be able to help you! Hope this helps!

    • Gagnea77

I'm new at all this couponing. Started a week ago. Yesterday I went to Walgreens got the Dr. Scholl's deal. Got my $5 RR. stopped at a different Walgreens today and bought Colgate toothpaste (the free one after RR's) and some other things. Paid with the $5 RR from yesterday. I noticed a sign that said “If you use RR's to pay for items that will give you different RR the RR's may not print”. Sure enough did not recieve and RR's back. Is This normal?????

      • Mommy of 4

This is normal at Walgreens, but the manager here in Florida will give you the cash instead. I am guessing that if your store has posted that, then they are pre-warning you to not pay for free things with RR, but I usually use mine for discounted items, or milk, that do not have RR's.

        • Gagnea77

I guess thats why I hear most people saying that CVS is better!! Thanks Mommy of 4

      • Nita Royal

The real trick to “rolling” your RR's is to not use ones from the same manufacturer. For instance, MANY of their RR products are from P&G. If you use the RR to buy another P&G product, it will not give you an RR for the second item. If the mfg doesn't print on the coupon, I write it on before I forget.

However, you can bounce between manufacturers with no problem. One example, use RR's from P&G to buy a product made by Unilever, and you'll still get the RR.

      • Sporcello

The key is not to use a RR to purchase an item that will print that same amount RR. For example, if you buy an item that will print a $5 RR, you cannot use a $5 RR during that purchase. If you use it, the printer thinks you already got the one that should print. I hope that helps!

        • millie

publix and cvs are the better stores to deal with. i personally do not like Walgreens because they make too complicated. if you try to use the RR you have to have filler items and they always make a fuss over something. i am relearning rite aid because it has been a while since i shopped there, but like i said i have much better experiences and helpful people at cvs and publix. good luck and hang in there! there is plenty of wonderful people on this site to help out.

    • Katie Turner

What are the July Walgreens coupon booklets and where do I get one of these?

      Thanks!

    • Coupons28054

I got my foot cream and blister defence (cause they didn't have 2 of anything left) still got my $5 RR and a 2 RR from the kelloggs bars, then went back and got colgate toothpast (w $1 mfc and used my $2 RR for the kelloggs purchase with a filler item for .19cents) got back $3.50 RR from the tooth paste *yay*

      • Coupons28054

typpo, I used the $2 rr for the toothpaste purchase with a .19cents filler item so I could use the RR and $1 mfc

    • JessR2

Tried to buy the massaging gel ones for $12.99 but they had a bonus pedicure kit in the package – cashier & manager both said $5 Wags coupon would not come off since it was a bonus… :P
they took the $5 off manually, so therefore RR did not print.
So either you get the $5 off or you pay full price & get the RR… can't do both.
      Waah.
bought them anyway because I needed them… and figured the hassle of returning them would be too hard since I paid with RR from previous transaction.
Anyone else having this problem…. ?

      • jrun

my walgreen's wouldn't let me use it on the 12.99 massaging gel. They said it had to be for the exact items pictured. I tried to explain the wording and they just didn't get it. I'm going to try another walgreens.

        • Kelly

My Walgreen's has said the same thing (on a different product) that it has to be exactly what is pictured in the ad.

          • jrun

knowing that i was right i couldn't let this go. so, i printed the page from the dr. scholl's website under the “massaging gel” section with a big picture of the men's massaging gel insoles on it and showed it to the manager. he admitted i was right and gave me the discount, but still no register rewards:( proving my point was enough for me!

        • Firstbrownie

I talked to the manager in my store about that coupon; it does say “massaging gel”, and I tried to purchase the insoles for 11.99; it wouldn't work; the manager didn't know, but she looked up the coupon to see what products were associated with it and only one type of “massaging gel” showed up; it happened to be one for 9.99 and this product was not part of the RR deal….figures! She admitted that the coupon was not clear and apologized.

    • Karib704

Just came back from my Charlotte Walgreens. The $5 Walgreens July coupon didn't take off $10 as suggested above so I asked them to ring them up separately. They did but in neither case did I get the $5 RR…bummed! I went a head and purchased 3 of the ones pictured here…bought separately. The mgr did give me a courteous $5 RR. Their signage at the item didn't say anything about having to purchase a minimum of $10 but their flyer did..mgr went with the flyer info instead of the signage info. I'm going to try another Walgreens tomorrow…anyone have any ideas why this didn't work?

    • Amt1218

I've been to several wags around here and when you make returns they always have to call over the manager and it takes longer than it should to make the return. Is that at all walgreens? I am assuming so… I absolutely hate returning things there. They aren't rude or anything.. I just feel it seems to be a bigger deal than it should be.

    • LVH

I need help!! I am a loyal CVS customer and decided to finally give Walgreen's a try today since the Dr. Scholl's deal sounded great and I was planning on going in to purchase the Pilot G2 pens and the Cottonelle. I picked up two of the Hidden Arches and had the $5 off Walgreen's coupon and 2 of the $2 off man. coupons. The $5 off didn't double to $10. So I ended up getting one and then got confused so I left. Can I go back and purchase another Dr. Scholl's and take in my receipt from my purchase today and still get the RRs?

      • Koala

I would think so they will give you $1.99 back and then you can purchase 2 to get the RR. I am new to Walgreen's as well. Hope it goes well for you!

    • Koala

They have different coupons for different ones do only the Her ones work to get the RR and use the coupon?

    • meme

I noticed several posts asking where to find the July coupon booklet. At the WAGS I visited recently there were none with the weekly flyer so I asked at the counter. They handed me one from behind the counter. It is possible they are starting to hand them out that way. These little booklets are probably more expensive to print and they may be having trouble with people getting handfuls. Hope this helps.

Hello. Didn't know where to post this, but Walmart has Lysol No-Touch Hand Soap System on sale for $6.00, regular price $9.97. With the $3.00 coupon, it would be $3.00 each. I got three. Thought I would pass it on.

      • Boo2010

That is a great deal! Publix sells the Lysol No-Touch system for something like $15.99 regular price – RIDICULOUS!!

The Blister Sticks are $8.49 at my Walgreens. So even if the $5 coupon doubled and I got the $5RR, I would still pay $2. No money maker, no freebies :( There were no RR signs in the store for the Dr Scholls deal so I didnt bother to try.

    • Samantha White

Walgreens frustrates the tar outta me!!! The manager-in-training proclaimed I was attempting to do something illegal by not presenting the Walgreens $5 off coupon BEFORE the Dr. Scholl's manufacturer $2 coupon!

She claimed that Walgreens does not allow this and they do not get fully reimbursed for manufacturers coupons. I asked her for a copy of Walgreen's coupon policy – no dice. She said to look on the internet for it.

She keep saying I was attempting illegal use of coupons and embarassed me in front of other customers as if I were shop lifting!

Has anyone else been treated so poorly at Walgreens??>?

      • Melissa H

I have, every single time I go there … ESPECIALLY whenever I have ever attempted a transaction like this one, where you have a manufacturer coupon and try to use it with their coupons from the WALGREENS freakin coupon booklet … I got so frustsrated with being made to feel like a criminal every time I tried to coupon there that I just flat out stopped going … I don't darken their door anymore unless an item is only on sale there at that moment and I need it and I'm only going to be using a manf q … I saw a post on another site today about a Huggies wipes deal where its the $2.50 off 3 manf q and then 3 of the $1/1 q's from the booklet, and I was halfway toying with the idea of trying it, and came out to search southernsavers.com to see if I could figure out what I was doing wrong, if it was the order I was giving the coupons in or what (although I've tried giving them in either order and neither has worked), but now seeing your post and 1) Remembering why I stopped in the first place, and 2) Seeing that you had this problem as recently as a week ago (I stopped shopping there months ago) is definitely putting me back in the mind-set of 'fuggedaboutit' … 3 packs of wipes is not worth the hassle, especially when I know I can count on a better deal (with no hassle) from CVS sometime down the line
