      amazing work as usual!!!!

      • Christy

I need help I am new. how do you do it

    • casey

jenny, you have made a difference in our shopping!!! thanks! now it is a game and i am hooked! thanks for all that you do!!!

    • Debbie

Trying to figure out which coupon to use to get the Apple Jacks and Froot Loops free at Bi-Lo…

      • Angela

Use $1/1 q, buy 10 boxes… get $10. Jenny shows the Kellogg’s deal down at the bottom of the Bi-Lo Weekly Ad – in the area where she normally sticks scenarios. I had to look for it, too!

    • Mina

Philly cream cheese is FREE at both Bi-Lo and Kroger. A better deal at Bi-Lo, though, because you can use the MQ in their sale flier to get both the cream cheese and Kraft shredded cheese together for $1.25. You can think of that as paying .62 apiece, or paying the equivalent of .96 for 8 oz of cheese (after deducting the price you would have paid for the cream cheese at Publix), or free cream cheese and $1.25 for the shredded cheese. Any way you calculate the deal it’s the best combo for the products among the stores.

    • Lisa

Jenny, I really like the $1 or less list each week. Thanks.

    • Mina

Bi-Lo – Pillsbury Brownies start at .15 because the ad covers 2 different price points. Family sized fudge, milk chocolate, and dark chocolate are .15. The fancier mixes are .45.

Food Lion marshmallows are .95 as listed in the ad. The store coupon you have listed for them is for Jet Puffed marshmallows, which are a name brand and not a correct matchup for the product on sale.

Last week I was on a quest to find the best price I could on AA batteries. I got a bit excited when I heard about the Publix deal that wound up not existing on that size. So, I kept looking and found a good one. It’s the Kroger Duracell batteries.

AAA and AA 4pk batteries at Kroger wind up costing ~.04 per pack for those who received the $1 or .50 q’s., or a whopping .29 pk for those like me who only got the .75 q. The sale price is $1.88 for a four pack, but there is an OYNO Cat on Duracell purchases – $2 for a $10 purchase or $5 for a $20 purchase. The value is determined by the regular shelf price. So, buy 6 packs, and after q’s and Cat are deducted they come out to either .28 or $1.78 plus tax for 24 batteries. My battery supply is now securely shored up.

    • Mina

Also at Bi-Lo Carnation Condensed Milk @ .90. Condensed milk is rarely on sale except for the holiday season, and deals where it is less than $1 are infrequent. I keep it on hand for Thai tea, as well as baking.

I have a question about tax. Do the stores charge you the tax that you would have paid before coupons? I’m asking because I did the Dove deoderant deal at Publix where I got 2 for a total of 49 cents but they charged 54 cents for tax. I didn’t argue because I wasn’t sure how that worked and I couldn’t be upset about getting 2 deoderants for $1.03. I’m just curious if that’s normal.

      • Alyssa

Yep, unfortunately it is normal for Uncle Sam to get his pay on the full amount. Some store’s computers aren’t set up this way, such as Kroger and CVS, so the tax is reduced as the coupons lower your subtotal. However, Publix computers recognize the coupon deductions and calculate it correctly (so much to our dismay, we still have to pay the govt what it is owed…)

        • lovingaunt

Thanks Alyssa. That’s what I figured and why I didn’t say anything to the cashier. Like I said, when I’m getting such a great deal I can’t complain too much about the govt. taking their share lol.

    • Emily
