On the Old Spice/Gillette Body Wash Extra Care deal, can't you use both the $4/2 and a B1G1 so that BOTH body washes are free? It's one coupon per product, right? Or is that only for coupons that are aimed at one product (not $ off 2 items)? If so, you could net $8 ECB for free – sweet! Not that $4 free ECBs is anything to sneeze at…. (c:

      • rebekahlittle88

i don't think you can because you have to use the B1G1 coupon first so by the time they would scan the $4/2 it's showing you are only purchasing 1.

        • Meme

Do you have to use the B1G1 first or could you hand them the $4/2 first then the B1G1? I haven't enough experience to know if the clerk will try this.

          • Anonymous

you always have to use a B1G1 first or else it won’t let you use any other $ amount off of the products. you can always try using the other one after the B1G1 but I think almost all stores you have to use that one first then any other ones after…

        • Hester

the b1g1 actually cuts the price of both bottles in half-then the other coupon scans

          • Anonymous

only at publix it cuts the price in half..with the actual coupon it has to be buy one and get the other one free

      • new2qs

But, couldn't you use the B1G1 Old Spice and then in a separate transaction do the B1G1 Gillette? There are B1G1 q's for both. That's my plan anyway. Now if the store will actually have the products when I get there, these will be some SWEET deals :-) Thanks Jenny!!!

        • Melissa

Thats not going to work if you do 2 transactions because the limit is 2 and even though you aren't paying for the second one you will still get $8.00 back.

      • RobinB78

You'd have to buy 4 products to do that, check Mindy's idea a couple of posts up. I'm just going to go ahead and use my ECBs from last week and buy the 2, but if you really like the Old Spice/ Gillette products then you'd still be paying only $4 for 4 items and getitng your $8 EBCs which is still and awesome deal!!!

        • Christy

I have one even better. Buy 3 bottles of Gillette and 2 bottles of OS. Use your B1G1 of OS and B1G1 of Gillette and also your $4/2 for Gillette. You end up paying $8.00 and getting $8.00 back. So essentially 5 bottles for free

    • Mindy

Could you buy 4, use 1 $4/2 and 2 B1G1 (for the 2 not taken up by the $4/2), making it $4 for 4 and $8 ECB back?

      • Taylor

As far as I know! I plan to do the same!

    • Emily

Is nail enamel considered as cosmetic?

      • RobinB78

For getting ECBs or for using a q?? For the ECBs usually the nail polish works! I added a nail polish or two into my Revlon grab last week and got the ECBs for it!

      • kcreviews

I tried to use a Revlon Color Cosmetic Q for nail color once at Walgreens and the lady would not let me. Check with your store manager.

      • Tricia

At my CVS, the color cosmetic Q would not work for nail polish…but the cashier was nice and keyed it in by hand!

    • Jennifer

I have figured out Publix pretty well, but still have a little trouble with the drug stores.
I have a B1G1 coupon I printed a while back on the Sobe lifewaters. They are B1G1 at CVS. How will this coupon work with the sale???

Also, I have a $2.00 off coupon for the Olay Total Effects body wash. I believe it came in the mail with a free sample I got recently from the Wal-Mart website. It would make them $3.00!!

Also, I still have a $3.00 CVS coupon I printed a while back on Pampers Swaddlers or Cruisers with Dry Max for jumbo packs or boxes. It would make them $5.99 and even cheaper paired with a manu. coupon. (not as good as Huggies diaper deals we've been getting lately, but still good for Pampers) I can't remember exactly what site I printed it off of though.

And finally, the Loreal Excellence hair color is $5.97 and there is a $3.00 coupon on any Loreal hair color on redplum's website which would make it $2.97!!!

      Hope this helps someone!

      • k8winn5

Buy 2 of the sobe and when you use your b1g1 coupon it would make both free with the cvs b1g1 sale.

    • AmyFMSC

The Huggies Little Movers Jeans jumbo pack diapers are on sale for $9.99. CVS mailed me a $2 coupon, so that paired with a $3 Huggies manufacturer coupon makes them $4.99, which isn't too bad.

      • Is this a current sale or scheduled to start on Sunday? I am wanting to buy some of these for my daughter but have been waiting on a sale like this?

        • Amy

The Jeans diaper sale starts this Sunday, May 23rd.

          • YAY!! thanks so much! I can't wait to get these for under dresses!

      • guest

FYI there are fewer diapers per pack in the new ‘jeans’ diapers.

      • Hester

those are so cute!! My youngest is 3 and potty trained and I still looked twice at those–jealous!!!

    • k8winn5

I've already used my b1g1 coupon on the bodywash, but I do have a coupon for b1 oldspice bodywash get fresh collection deodorant for free. I happen to have $8 in ecb that I'm wanting to use before they expire, so I'm gonna get 2 bodywash this way I can get $8 ecb back!

    • RobinB78

Getting these early is both a blessing and a curse!! I'm soooo excited for some of these deals that it's going to be hard to wait until Sunday to get them!!! LOL

      • Nancy Smith

My CVS (Asheville, NC) puts the sale on Saturday night and also leaves the sale from the week before up. However, they take down the tags from the previous weeks sale. Check with your CVS, you might be able to shop on Saturday night instead of having to wait until Sunday :)

        • Lori

Jenny told me that only applies to 24 hr. CVS's. I tried it with a regular one and was sadly disappointed!

          • Paige

I asked at my CVS because all of the sale signs were down on Sat. and she said that starting at 10 a.m. the next weeks' sale is already active so I could get the sales from both. You may want to ask at your store just to be sure.

            • diane

I know that the sle prices are good then, but what about the ecb's for the next week?

            • diane

that was supposed to be 'sale prices'. Sorry.

            • Susan

If the sale prices are set in the computer, so are the extra bucks to print.

            • JJ

The only time when they won't print is when the ad says it a 3 days sale. When the Sunday, Monday and Tuesday back to school start they will only print than. They won't print early even if the the start the sale early. All other time they will print on Saturday just scan an item at the scanner to check the prine. have your Sunday ad with out. Long time CVS shopper here :) Have over 65 bucks on average :)

            • Jackie

Yes the ecb's will print if the item scans at the sale price.

            • JJ

The way to check to see if a sale starts is to scan and item at the scanner. The same scanner for your cvs card.I seen 12 pm, 2 pm and 4 pm and even 6 pm. Most starts a sale Saturday. I always shop on Saturday they have everything.

          • BethMc

Lori, NON 24 hour stores start the sale, usually around 6pm. The 24 hour stores start at midnight. It's always good to ask the manager at your store to verify, but that's the case in every CVS I've visited.

            • JJ

NO CVS are the same :) I had a 24 hour store start a sale at 3 pm for last 3 years before I moved.

          • Jackie

My store in Trussvile Al. is not a 24 hour , and they start putting them in the computer on Saturday afternoon. I just ask my favorite cashier if she has entered the new sales items in the computer or I scan the item. It always prints the RR's. I guess it depends on the store and how early they want to do it. I think my head cashier likes to get the items entered before she gets off work at 6 0'clock. I have gotten the items as early as 2 o'clock before. Great way to beat the crowd before the Sunday rush begins.

        • pennywiseinasheville

Hey Nancy, glad to see someone from Asheville on Southern Savers. I'm new at alot of the couponing, which CVS are you referring to?

          • Melissa

Another Ashevillian here (actually in Fletcher)! ;o)

        • Jackie

My CVS in Birmingham (Trussville) starts selling the sunday items at the sale price as early as 2 o'clock on saturday afternoon. I usually ask my favorite cashier if she has entered them in the computer yet or you can scan the item to make sure.

      • Erin

Really? It's a slow week for me. I already used all my Gillette/Old Spice coupons, and I don't really see anything else.

    • Pam

I'm liking this but I have not mastered the freebies yet.

    • diane

anyone know how much the All You's are at Wal Mart? This might be the time I go get a couple extras.

      • lauriescott

ALL YOU is $2.50 at Wal-Mart.

      • ali

    • Chrissy

Here's what I'm going to do with the $3 ECB wyb $10 Unilever:

      5 Ragu Sauce
      1 Hellman's Mayo
      – (5) .60/1 Ragu
      – (1) .75/1 Hellman's

      OOP: $7.54
      ECB: $3

Makes it $4.54, or .76 each

    • Rebecca

Anyone have the zip for the $1.50/2 kellogg coupon? The zips I have punched in bring up a $1/2 coupon.

    • MomOf4Blessings

There was a $1/2 Lindsay Olives coupon in the 5/2 RP also.

    • Jeff

Weren't there some printables for Nivea some time ago?

    • Julie

Can we use the “B1G1 gillete body wash” and the “$4 off purchase of 2” coupon with it?

      • You can if you buy 3. You would get 3 for $4 so you might as well use both and grab the extra one!

        • kidsallgone

OMG! That's over my head! LOL!
Any other easier, slower, etc way to explain it?
          Sorry….old and confused here.
I had the $4 off 2 and got 2 free from Dollar General.
I had another coupon for B1G1 and asked if I could get another one for free but she just looked at me like I was an alien. LOL! Guess I wasn't the only one thinking along those lines.

      • carolyn090

if you get 4 bottles you would use one 4/2 for the two you will be buying and use 2 b1g1 for a total of 4.00 out of pocket and get the 2/ 4.00 ecb its still kinda the same deal you just get more this way.

    • WynetteC

Is it just me or are the coupons from weekly inserts in the paper becoming less valuable or sporatic?
It seems the more I see the deals that are available, they are either “print” online coupons, or like on “facebook” coupons, or magazine coupons, or even yet home mailer type coupons. I think I will sit down and start marking where my coupons come from so that I can see if buying the newspapers each week is even profitable or a loss. It might be cheaper to print them on my own and buy my own paper. Or maybe the art is in knowing *when* to buy certain newspapers and *which issue* to buy magazines like All you.

      • ireneY

With coupons becoming more popular, it must be the manufacturer's way of curbing the extreme couponers who wipe out stores of freebie items. But then again, the IPs aren't exactly bullet proof. A CVS cashier recently held up one of my IPs to show a co-worker what a legit coupon looked like. I asked if they get a lot of fraud and she said “oh, yeah.”

For the most part, the Sunday papers are worth it if there's at least two $.50 coupons you'll use, if your stores double. $1.50 a copy for me.

    • k8winn5

Printed off the $1/2 coupon on the Lindsay Olives. They also sent me an email to me which included $1 off any Lindsay re-closables, so if cvs sells the re-closables at the sale price of $1.00 then it will be free. Checked the cvs website and it doesn't show the re-closables listed. I will still check at the store just to make sure.

      • Frances

Publix has the reclosables at $1.90 (? not positive about $). I have never seen them at CVS but worth a look.

      • morgan

My CVS does not carry them. Even if they did, I would be suprised if they were in the sale. Right now they are locally at Bi-Lo for $2.00 (on sale from $2.49) and Publix for $2.69. We love Lindsay Olives!

    • Mom2teenagers

For those of you not familiar with Rouge, it's a beauty magazine issued by P&G and it comes with really great coupons. I signed up and got my May issue in the mail very quickly- like within the week.

      • mag9775

        Thank you so much!!!!!!

      • Erin

I've signed up twice and never received it. Maybe I'll try signing up on my husband's PC.

        • 3monkeysmom

That's weird….I never signed up for this but I got one in the mail last week.

    • kcreviews

Jenny, under Household for the Cascade sale you put in Arm & Hammer Q's. Haha.

    • lightningbug23

Is anyone having trouble getting the thermacare coupon to print twice?

      • Sonya D

I was too until I tried a different browser. I got it to work once in IE and once in FF. You might want to try that.

    • Amanda

how do i get home mailers? Like the pantene one? Plus how does she use two coupons from home mailers? Dont they only send one per house, or are there two pantene coupons in one home mailer? This is my first time tryin to do CVS so help! And, how do I get the PG coupons?

      • Ali B

PG coupons are in the newspaper at the beginning of every month. PG stands for Procter and Gamble. They make a lot of the products you buy such as Tide, Bounce, Cascade, Pampers, Crest and Pantene.

As far as the mailers go, you have to go to the various websites and sign up for their newsletter.

    • Snowski824

I got a $2/1 pantene coupon in a sample that I got from P&G last month. You might want to check if you got that sample too. (The coupon was in Spanish but the brochure it was in was in English)

    • jenny

Where is the coupon for Sobe?? I clicked on the coupon link and it takes me to the Sobe ebsite, but where's the coupon??

      • Amy

When I clicked on the link, it took me right to the place to print. I was able to print 2 coupons. Try again and see if it will work. I hope it works for you. I used two coupons a couple of weeks ago to get 4 bottles of SOBE free.

      • nicj

Does anyone know how much the Sobe is? (before my coupons, of course)

    • Beth Arp

This week at CVS they are having Buy 2 hershey bars get one free and I also had the same deal on a CVS coupon which printed on a receipt. The cashier said I had to buy 4 and then I would get 2 free. But if I did that I wouldn't even need the coupon. Shouldn't it have been buy 2, get 2 free with both the sale and the coupon?

      • Adriane

I was wondering something similar but slightly different.

With Hershey candy bars on sale B2G1, and if you have a store coupon for B2G1, could you “buy” 3 but get 2 of them free? Also, if one of them is a Reese's Dark, could you use the $.55/1 from the 3/14 SS and pay $.34 OOP for 3 candy bars?

        • ireneY

My head hurts from trying to figure out the deal! In this case, I may just hand over all the Qs and see what gets accepted by the cashier. Like throwing it all at the wall and see what sticks! LOL!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

I would follow the logical path. Store sales are regardless of coupon use. That is why you may use b1g1 Q. for items that are on store sales for b1g1 also, and get virtually both free in such cases. In the same manner, you would just “purchase” 3 bars, ignore the store sale for now, apply Q. b2g1 free. So one item price is decucted thru Q., the cashier would then “enter” to proceed with the transaction and another bar price would be taken off automatically by the register. So, you would end up paying for one and get 2 free. It will get even better if you have a $ or cents off Q. which you could also apply for even better savings.

In short, employees have nothing to worry about store sales and are not supposed to be inspecting or “objecting” to store sales. Store sales, which in this case happens to be b2g1 free is processed by the system automatically without anyone knowing or not.

Warning! This may be too technical and complex for some employees. If they object, stay firm, do not budge and educate them.

    • Jennifer

I have never tried CVS before because there hasn't been one close to me. One just opened up down the street and I got some great coupons in the mail from them. $5 off a $15 purchase, a free 2 liter of coke, $3 off a CVS Brand product and free 25 digital 4×6 prints. Seems like this is a good week to try out CVS! This is in Louisville, KY.

      • LindaB

Lucky you…I love CVS. Wish I had the $5 off $15!

    • Amy

Can you buy one bag of the charcoal for $4.99 and use the 3 coupons to get Glad, Hidden Valley, and KC sauce all free? Or can you only use one coupon per bag of charcoal?

      • Susan

I was able to use all the coupons on the same purchase at Publix and they didn't bat an eye.

        • busynewmom

i was denied using all 3 coupons at Publix, it just depends … CVS system will probably through it out

      • Wende

I checked at at Customer Service at Publix just to be sure and they had no problem with it. Be usre your bag of charcoal is the right size for the coupons.

    • Lisa

Regarding the “-$1.50/2 Frosted Mini-Wheats, Raisin Bran or All Bran printable,” I don't see that coupon. Any ideas? Would a certain zip code work?

    • smaks

Does anyone happen to have the website for the coupon checker? You put what you are looking for and it returns all available coupons for that item. It was in a post and now I can't find it. Sounded awesome.

    • mom2-4

Just wondering the red type under the item are you supposed to stack all those coupons for the listed item or just choose one of the coupons to use?

      • Michelle

        Just choose one. :)

    • carolyn090

      could i buy 4 gillette body wash and use 4/2 and2 b1g1 ,pay 4.00 still get 0nly 8.00ecb

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Yes, stay firm and do not budge if anyone objects. This is perfectly legit.

        • AKellyinVA

This is something I've never understood. And I'm not arguing that it isn't legit or OK. The coupons usually say “one coupon per purchase” which makes me think the manufacturer doesn't intend for you to use 2 on one item. I've never seen this aspect of it discussed, so eventhough it works for some, I don't try it. I actually did try it once, didn't work for me…and that was before I read the coupon.

          • Jess

One purchase does NOT mean one transaction, it means one item. It's to keep you from trying to use two coupons for one item. So you can use more than one “limit one coupon per purchase” as long as you've only got one of those coupons for each item. I wondered that too for a long time =) …

            • Mysterious_Mentalist

This makes perfect sense. This is to prohibit use of multiple Qs on one same item either of the same type but in quantity 2, or perhaps manuf. may have several types of Qs out there for the same product (such as in All you magazine, and as well as in SS with different value and so on).

Also to add to that; it can also be construed that use of 1 Q. you may have in print is prohibited on multiple items. Meaning, you have just one Q. in hand but can not apply or scan multiple times on multiple quantity items of the product.

          • Carrie

“One coupon per purchase” might mean one coupon per product you buy, therefore if you buy 3 products then you can use 3 coupons. I think “one coupon per transaction” means one coupon no matter how many products you buy in a single transaction. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

            • crystalsanchez

it really depends on the store.. every store i have went to takes one coupon per item but i went to target they only took one of my coupons when i handed her two coupons for my 2 shampoos.. didnt notice til i got home sooo annoying!

          • Mysterious_Mentalist

We are not using 2 Qs on one item here-You are misunderstanding the whole post and the point.

        • guest

Actually it depends on the coding of the b1g1 coupon. If the b1g1 coupon's last 2 numbers are 01, then yes you can use another coupon in addition to it b/c it's only going to 'attach' to 1 item in your transaction. If the last 2 numbers are 14 (the last 2 numbers not including the number that's all by itself at the end), then no you may not use an additional coupon b/c that coding causes the coupon to attach to 2 items in your transaction. The manufacturers have a choice when coding a b1g1 coupon to either use the 01 coding (which pretty much means that they are okay with you using another coupon on the other item) or the 14 coding (which basically shows you that they do not wish for any other coupons to be used on the non-free item).

It's easier to plan smooth beep-free transactions if you actually research and know a little something about coupon coding.

          • Mysterious_Mentalist

Manufacturers do not expect the public to read the coding and then uncode it to figure out what they mean. If they really meant b1g1 free Qs. to be “attached” to 2 items in question, then they would have clearly stated something to that nature. This is not to discredit what you said, but it is not my job to “uncode” Qs., but to use them on specified products.

            • guest

They may not expect us to know what they mean before we use them, but they choose those numbers for a reason. Perhaps they expect the consumer to realize they are not supposed to use another coupon with their b1g1 ’14’ coded coupon when it beeps at the register.

In any case, it’s best for couponers to educate themselves on these matters so that they know in advance if their deal is going to work without requiring the cashier to override anything. If you know the ins and outs of coupon coding, you can know how to plan your transaction so that you don’t have coupons beeping, which is good for people who have suspicious cashiers/managers/stores that have a problem with coupons that are not readily accepted by the register.

            • Anonymous

b1g1 Qs always beep regardless of ‘coding.” Educating others to eradicate suspicion/paranoia is one of reasons why I post here

    • cathy

i must be over seeing something. but, the Old Spice or Gillette Body Wash is not in their paper. i am in the charleston area. i went to the store and there were no signs for EBC with the products, and were priced $4.99.

      • joanna00

These deals are for the ad that starts on Sunday May 23.

    • 1lvlylady

      • REBEKAH

yes you can! if you look on reciept it will say how much money you have towards the Revelon deal and when you buy the other product you ECB's will print!

    • Tisha

I have a buy 1 gillette deodorant get a body wash free and a $2/1 deodorant. Can I buy the deodorant, use the $2/1 and get the body wash free and it still print out the ECBs?

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Yes, you will buy a deo and a bw=> use deo Q. and a free bw Q. ECB is regardless of any Q. used or not. This is legit and stay firm on getting this deal.

      • LORI

yes .. i did that transaction today with both same coupons…

    • Kristen

CVS coupon machine printing Qs for $1/2 CVS paper products. The CVS brand pantiliners on sale for 0.49 ea so can purchase two for free.

      • Lucy

I dont think pantyliners are paper products.. are they?

        • I was told they are not. BUT the pocket tissues that are 2/.99 were free!

    • Jennifer

I just got back from my local CVS, and I am so confused.

Regarding the Nivea body washes, it says there was a limit of 5 for the month of May to get the $ECBs, so, since I still had some of the $4/1 coupons, and the B1G1 coupon, I decided to use them tonight…

So…I bought 9 body washes, I used 6 of the $4/1 and 2 B1G1, and I only received $5 ECBs. I looked at my receipt, and it says on there like amount toward reward – $30.00, amount needed to earn reward $15 – the previous receipt said amount toward reward – $15.00, amount needed to earn reward $15.00 – so, why didn't I get back $10.00 in ECBs?

I went back into the store, and the cashier was super nice, but, he got a sticker from some shelf that said a limit of 1????

He offered to let me return the items that I didn't get the ECBs on, and I said no…because I don't want to cause a scene and make the cashiers at CVS dislike me, but…I don't understand why I didn't get 10 ECBs???

      • Jennifer

        I'm sorry, I made a typo…I used 5 of the $4/1 and 2 B1G1 – not 6…sorry!!! :-)

      • Melissa

I think I read somewhere that if you would of done the Nivea in 2 transactions you would get back 5.00 and then 5.00 but you can't get 10.00 in one transaction.

        • Jennifer

Well – the nice cashier offered to let me do a return, then he said he would re-ring it so that I would get both of them, but…I didn't want them to get upset with me, so, I just left.

          Thanks for your help!

          • Ashley

I wouldn't worry about anyone getting upset since he nicely offered. Definitely take your stuff back and re-ring it.

          • AKellyinVA

Jennifer, I understand about not wanting to cause a scene, but if he offered, then it wouldn't have been a problem. So many of us have had issues like yours and gotten a rude cashier. To find a nice guy who would re-do the transaction to find the error is like finding gold :) My 2 cents, I'd still take them back…that $5 goes a long way :)

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

For some reasons, that deal is one per transaction. So in the same one transaction, buying more items/dollar amount than one deal requires would be useless as the extra amount would not be carried over to the next balance for the next deal in the row. So, buy bare enough to fulfill the $ amount for one deal per transaction.

    • Shelly

I apologize if this is a silly question, but I'm new here :). What does “Great Mind June All You” mean when referenced as the source for a coupon?

      • Danielle

All you is a magazine. I found mine at walmart. Great magazine with a TON of coupons in them. I have now subscribed to All you. When i get an issue with great coupons I go to the store and buy 2 more magazines. :) Not sure what Great Mind is …June refers to the month of the magazine.

    • Shelly

I apologize if these are silly questions, but I'm new here…What does “Great Mind June All You” mean when referenced as the source for a coupon? How can I find it?

      • Not sure about the Great Mind, but June All You is the June issue of a magazine called All You. It is available only at Walmart for 2.50 and is FILLED with Q's.

    • Shelly

Sorry for the double post…I had some technical issues!

    • pharmSCgirl

I went to CVS tonight to pick up some of the Revlon where you buy $10 worth and get $4 ECB. I bought 4 lipsticks that were on clearance for 75% off and it came up to more than $10 before coupons. The ECB didn't print and it doesn't show that they even registered toward an ECB. I didn't push the subject since the cashier was so rude anyway. I had several items that I price checked right before she walked up to the counter and I sat them down so I could hand her my card and coupons and told her that I was going to go put the items back and she got snappy and said if you don't want them then give them to me. Ugh… needless to say, corporate may get a call monday morning. Sorry to vent but I get so mad at rude cashiers. I work in retail and it doesn't matter what is going on in your life or if you are ready to get off of work, it doesn't take a lot to be friendly to a costumer and it's their job.

      • I did this tonight too. I asked the clerks if the clearance items counted towards the ECB and they both said yes. But when it printed out, the $4 Revlon wasnt there. I reminded the guy and he forced it. Happily, I might add.

        • Guest

my store always says no to ecbs for clearance. I don't mind b/c they are so good.

      • ireneY

Totally uncalled for! Put in your call and avoid her like the plague!

      • Carrie_C

I did this at my CVS today and didn't get the ECB but the cashier said no problem and printed the Revlon ECB for me. Used the Revlon $2 coupon for each item I bought and then have the ECB for later. Great deal and finally on a product I like to use!

      • Lori

Take your receipt back in there and show them the Ad from this week! Tell them it didn't print your ECB's and you need them to print it for you!!! I bought 2 things and one of them was on clearance……..i didn't realize til I got home that the Revlon ECB didn't print (because I had A LOT of stuff and ECB's) so i took the receipt, products and the ad in the store today and they happily printed it for me! :)

      • Nichole

I had the same issue with the ECB not printing with clearance items. I was more irritated with the fact that the cashier knew that I was using coupons and doing the ECB deals and she KNEW that the ECB wasn't going to print for the clearanced Revlon products but didn't bother to tell me. When I asked about it she said that clearanced items do not work the the ECB deals. Then I looked through the ad and didn't see where it said that clearance items were excluded. She said that it says on the signs posted throughout the store (not necessarily close to the items) “not valid with any other offer”, or something like that. I didn't get my ECB and I started to return the items, but I didn't because I still got a really good deal. I just wish they would be more clear about things like this in the ads.

    • tanya

I have a question… when it says wyb 2 of something, does it have to be in the same transaction in order to get the ECB's or can you split it and get the ECB's after purchasing the second one? I noticed Jenny's scenario that has the therma care things in 2 sep. transactions but the ad says that you have to buy 2. I just needed clarification so I can get my plan of action together for sunday.

      • Kelley

It can be separate transactions. Check your receipt for your ECE purchase totals.

    • lovincoupons

??? Can someone help me to understand how a stores B1G1 on an item + a coupon for B1G1 will be free??? No out of pocket cost at all!?!?

      • Based on where you live, a BOGO sale and a BOGO coupon makes the 2 items free (plus tax). In FL, we have true BOGO and can use a BOGO coupon this way. Some states do not have true BOGO and it varies how the dealworks.

        • lovincoupons

          Thank you so much!!

    • Let me begin this post with an evil sounding/self satisfied kinda chuckle… Heh heh!! Tonight I spent 2.35 OOp on tax only and saved $103.85 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got 8 Revlon lipgloss (75% off), 1 Revlon eyebrow pencil, 2 Aussie hair care, 2 CVS hair care, 1 CVS make up remover wipes, a $1 drawing pad, 2 Almay mascara (clearanced at 75% off)and 2 CVS q tips (from the $1 area). I paid tax only!!
      I used $2 Revlon q's, $1 Almay Q's, $2/1 Aussie Q's, a store $4/2 Revlon, two $1/1 store hair products, a $1/2 CVS paper products, and a $1/1 CVS beauty product Q. I spent $8 in ECB and got back $8. (continuing to chuckle…)
When I saw the Revlon on clearance, I asked if they counted towards the ECB deal and they said yes. (2 different clerks) But, when they rang up, the $4 Revlon ECB did not print, so they forced it.
and they were completely out of the Blade razor AND I forgot to ask for the raincheck! UGH!

      • Terri

I didn't realize you can get a rebate for the Blade razor if its not in stock? Will it still print out the ECBs later?

        • Jbush27

Yes, when you get a rain check for an item that gives ECB's they will right it on the rain check and when you go back to get the item they manually put it in the system and an ecb will print for the item.

    • Becky

    • Brandie

I don't have the BOGO on the Gillete BW or the $4/2 but i get the paper every week. Were these regional? I live in the BHAM area.

      • 3monkeysmom

I get the B'ham News and I got these coupons….Gillette and Old Spice are usually in the P&G inserts.

      • Anonymous

I am in Birmingham also. I got mine in April, but I had already used them at Target. I do have some though that I got in May for B1 Deodorant get a BW free, and I have some various dollar amounts off of the deodorant.

    • Tonya

Does any one know if CVS brand Qtips would count for the $1 off any cosmetic accessory or $1/2 paper product coupons that printed out at the store?

      • Jen

It would count for the cosmetic. I tried to get 2 packages of tissues the other day w/ the paper product coupon but was told it was a no-go :(

        • Lori

worked for me twice this week at different store too!

      • Allison

Yes I used mine on q-tips. I got the travel pack size and they were free.

      • Lori

Not sure on the “q tips” but they have cosmetic tips (they look like q tips) for $.99 and that works I did it twice this week! Plus they have cvs brand pocket tissues that are 2/$.99 so use the paper product one and get those free too! Good Luck

      • sg

I was able to get CVS brandh Qtips. SG

      • Ruth

I used my coupons this morning as $1 off any cosmetic accessory on the Qtips. Worked fine.

      • Wende

yes, work great on the small $1.00 packs

      • I used 1 on Q tips (from the value section that has 41/$1.50 & $2 stuff) $1 and 1 on a pkg of make up remover wipes from that same section. both for free!

      • Anonymous

I used it with the cosmetic accessorty and got two travel size tissues with the paper products.

      • joanna00

Off topic, but it's so nice to meet another woman whose name is spelled exactly like mine! Most people leave out the capital A when spelling my name, of course, but I just wanted to wave at you! :)

        • Brooke

I almost didn't know what you were talking about because you didn't spell your name with a capital A either lol :)

          • joanna00

I use the same username a lot, so I don't use the capital A because it's easier, plus many places don't recognize a capital A as being a different character. :)

      • Guest

Can we do the P&G booklet more than once?

    • joanna00

Well, I did it! I was so excited about the Gillette Body Wash deal that I finally decided to call my CVS to see if they begin the Sunday ad early. It was 4:39pm, and the manager told me to come on over because they were in the process of getting everything ready, that Saturday is Double Deals because of the old and new ads. So I raced down there, coupons in hand, and I picked up 4 of the body washes (as outlined in one of the comments below). I gave the cashier (the manager, I believe) 2 B1G1 qs and a $4/2 q. I think he may have had to punch one of the coupons in… I only paid tax after handing over a $4 ECB, and I received $8 ECBs!
I must say that I truly love this site, and just today I referred 2 more ladies to it! Thanks so much, Jenny and your crew, and thanks to everyone who posts the tips and tricks!

    • USCNicole

Wow! I'm so excited to use all your transaction ideas! I can use all of that stuff, and for $0.49, I'm even more thrilled. Thanks so much for all you do!

    • mmikebel

Do you have to buy the unilever at once to get the $3ecb or can u so it in separte trans.?

      • John

Like most cvs deals, you can accumulate the necessary products in multiple transactions. Your balances i.e. “$__ needed for reward” will be recorded at the bottom of your receipt across from a brief description of deal if you purchase any items that apply. Sometimes this can be very helpful at the beginning of your cvs journey when you are still getting alot of $/$$ coupons (like $3 off a $15 purchase)from the coupon machine in store. When you start saving too much, everyone I've read says those slow down. Certainly has in my case. Take advantage while you can.

        • mmikebel

Thank you. and also if i buy 4 body washes can I use (2)b1g1 and (1)4/2 in the same trans?

          • lucy

Yes, if you buy 4 body washes you can use two b1g1 free coupons and one $4/2 coupon. Each of the b1g1 free coupons “applies” to an item and the $4/2 coupon “applies” to two items for a total of four items.

            • mmikebel

Thanks, I did this and she said I dont know if it will take all them but tried it anyways , it worked she said a lady that tried earlier it wouldnt take all 3.

    • Dyana

#1 Thank you for saving me hundreds of dollars this month…

#2 “Limit 2” on the gillette deal… Is this per week?

      • guest

Yes, that is for the promotional period, which is just this week.

    • Coupon Cat

      $4/2 Gillette Body Wash
      $2 Aussie
      $1 Herbal Essence
      $.75 Lady Speed Stick
      $.50 Dawn dish soap
      (2) $1.00 Dawn rejuvenating dish soap
      $3 ECB (from last week)
OOP = 1.24 before tax (tax was more than the OOP subtotal)
      Got back $8 ECB (2 $4 body wash), $4 ECB ($2 ea Aussie & Herbal), $2 ECB (Speed Stick) TOTAL $14 ECB's. I made a $12.76 Profit!!!

Picked up a raincheck for the 5 blade razor for $6.99 with $6.99 ECB

I had no cash register beeps. The B1G1 on body wash took off 4.99 since I waited to give my card after the ring up. Also took the whole $1.00 off on the Dawn rejuv. dish soap that was on the 12/$10 special. They each rang up $1.99 then knocked down to $.83 ea when I gave them the CVS card, but it allowed for the whole $1.00 off which helped with overage from another product. This was an awesome visit. Thank you Southern Savers!

      • guest

It's fraudulent for you to get $4.99 off for the b1g1 if the price you 'paid' for the item was only $4.00. The Dawn coupon took the entire $1.00 b/c you had other P&G brand items in your order and that's just the way the register works, but it was sneaky of you to get the extra $0.99 from the b1g1 coupon. Cashiers who actually pay attention to what they're doing would not let that b1g1 situation fly at all, and rightfully so.

        • lori

I agree. At some point, transactions like that will cost the company, which, in turn will cost us all…meaning, less deals, stricter policies, etc. Just MY OPINION though. ;)

          • Jane

I don't see anything wrong with her purchases. She actually paid for one of the body wash since she had 3 .Quit whining. I say good job. CVS will get there money back and most people will go in there with no coupons and get the body wash just because it says free.

            • Brooke

Right, she paid $1 less than she was supposed to pay for that body wash. What are you talking about quit whining. Why don't you just explain to us how you know that CVS will still get paid when the coupon overage was transferred from one body wash to another?

If I went to CVS and used a $4 off $20 BEFORE I handed over my card, how would that be honest? Both situations are the same. I think Jenny needs to clarify on this conversation if she thinks that's a “great trip”.

            • Erica

Just a correction– I work at CVS and you can't use a $4 off $20 purchase coupon without the card– you can however use the card + coupon before the cashier “totals” the order and has all the “deals” taken off the total. It's actually written as perfectly ok to do in our CVS Employee Coupon Guide. Most people do wait to hand over their card until everything has been rung up because of that policy. If you hand over the card at the end, all the savings come off in one lump sum– and you can use any of the $xx off of $xx purchase coupons at this point.

The transaction does, however, have to be totaled before any manufacturer's coupons or ECBs can be used, making the original poster's use of the B1G1 coupon (i.e., getting $4.99 off for a product that ends up costing only $4) a no-no, generally.

      • Ashley

I am shocked that you decided to share this. It is extremely dishonest to hand over your card last so that $4.99 will be taken off your B1G1 q. I would hope this was just a simple beginners mistake, but I'm afraid it's blatantly obvious the carelessness in this situation.

It is fine to get the overage on the Dawn. That's why this is called ''overage'' while on the other hand, dishonest overage was taken from the store.

      • ItsACouponThing

Is there anything I can do about this: If the cashier sees I have coupons, she always insists (says she's instructed to do so) on my giving my card first, before the coupons. I always make sure my keys are at the bottom, under everything, so I can make that excuse, but they just stand back and wait. Any ideas?

      • That was a great trip.

Just so you know scanning your card last doesn't really change the $1 coupon being affected that would have taken it off without a problem. It's really just Walgreens that has issues with coupons like that.

        • Coupon Cat

Thank you for your comments! I was so excited after the class on Saturday that I couldn't wait to go to CVS on Saturday evening. I was very meticulous in handing the cashier all my coupons & such in the order you explained. As I mentioned, there were no cash register beeps. The value on the B1G1 body wash was put in by the cashier. This was not something I did. I'm trying really hard to learn the art of couponing and indeed would not intentionally do something inappropriate. I did not expect the response from some others. Again, you were a joy to listen to in class and I appreciate your efforts in helping others save. I will be paying it FORWARD! :)

          • melissa

Just wondering if you could tell me what class that you took? I also live in the Raleigh area and would love to learn more about how to save at CVS.

            • Cathy

It was actually a Southern Savers class given by “Jenny” herself. I just happened to find it on her calendar on the website. Not sure next time she’ll be close to Raleigh.

      • jess

I don’t see the Dawn sale and the Herbal Essence ecb’s in this weeks ad? Is this last week’s sale? I was so excited hoping I could get this deal tomorrow.

      • Anonymous

It does not matter when a consumer hands in the card wether in the beginning or end. Dawn Q. for $1.00 off would go thru in either case because the register looks for the TOTAL on the product, Dawn in this case: In other words, 17 cents overage was applied to other Dawn/PG products. The Q. would not have beeped wether the card was handed first or at the end. (it might have beeped if you only bought one Dawn for 83 cents and handed the card in the beginning-In that case, the register had already counted balance 83 cents and not $1 so it would have beeped for a prompt to adjust price)And to concern about the 99 cent overage. First of all that was not the consumer’s fault; so I dont see any room for Fraud allegation by some posters here (ethical issue? That is a different story). And also, CVS would get full 4.99 (the amount of Q entered), not $4.00 (because it was not entered $4). This is because, the system is not sophisticated to link each and every Q with the exact item/price on the receipt. In other words, manuf. only see the request for redemption enetered electronically ($4.99 in this case) )and then they perhaps get Qs in print later. There is no attached receipt nor do they have time to sit on table and match each Q. with each receipt purchase/price. They are dealing with millions.

I could not find any coupons in the online Rouge magazine
      Does anyone have any advice?

      • Ashley

You have to sign up for the free magazine to get the coupons that come with in the mail.

    • Lotsaspirit

Does anyone know how I can get (3) -$3off Neutrogena Cosmetic Q's?

I'm trying to use the Scenario Idea listed for CVS this week where in “Transaction #1” one of these coupons is used, and in “Trans #2”, two more -$3 off Neutrogena Cosmetic q's is used.

I have the June All You mag, but only one neurtogena q is in there.

      • KBBest

You would need to go to Wal-Mart and pick up a few more copies of the magazine. Some people have multiple subscriptions.

      • Wende

You would have to have 3 coupons from 3 different magazines – try friends who get them or look in the doctors offices.

    • Angel

At CVS you can use the B1G1 Gilette coupon and the $4 off 2 Gillette Body Wash coupons–That makes your purchase .56 out of pocket and you get $8 ECB. I did that once on my card and then just paid .56 for the next 4 sets I bought–Great deals and a moneymaker!

      • sg

Question: How can you use B1G1 and $4 off 2 Gillette Body Wash coupons if they are both MQ? sg

        • Mamaberry

Nice isn't it?? You are allowed one coupon per item. So since she is buying two items she can use two coupons…..

          • Lucy

It's improper use of coupons to use the coupon in the manner she did. The person did not buy enough coupons to use the $4/2 coupon. In order to have used that coupon, she'd have needed to purchase at least one additional bodywash. Had the coupon been $4/1 it would have been okay as she used them but since it was $4/2 she didn't buy enough product to cover the coupon requirements.

She could have bought 4 Gillette BW and used 2 B1G1 free coupons and the $4/2 coupon and that would have been fine. But using the coupon the way she did was improper.

            • Crystal

Actually, I was wondering if it would work at first. I'm planning on making a CVS run tomorrow morning, and I actually called today to ask about that. I called the CVS nearest me and actually spoke to the store manager, who told me that he's not really sure, but they would be more than happy to try, and as long as the register will accept it, it's perfectly fine. Since he wasn't totally sure, I called another CVS, and the cashier said that would absolutely work and would make both free

To make a long story short, technically, yes, you can use both coupons for just the 2 body washes without having to throw in any extras.

            • Wende

No, techincally you can't use it even if the computer takes it. It's stil fraud the same as using a coupon for a 16 oz product on an 8 oz product. It may work, but still wrong.

You need to get a total of 3 to use a B1G1 AND a $4/2 UNLESS one is s CVS coupon which then can be stacked but if they are both manufacturers then you have to get 3 even if the register does not “catch it” it's still wrong and improper use of coupons.

            • Crystal

I'm not here to discuss morals or pass judgment on people as some here apparently like to do. I haven't even done this deal, and to be perfectly honest, I don't even know what I will get when I do make it to CVS, let alone any coupons I may or may not use. I was just saying that since I, too, was a little iffy on this one, I asked two different CVS employees at two different stores, one being a manager. Both just said what I'm saying – TECHNICALLY, it can be done, and a lot of cashiers will be more than happy to do it. Whether you choose to do it or not is up to you; I certainly don't feel it's right for me to accuse someone of fraud or pass judgment on them for using the coupons this way. We all know that there is a huge gray area in couponing; each person just has to do what feels right to them.

            • Erica

I work at CVS and I just want to let everyone know that CVS wants its coupon shoppers to be happy and I know that we ARE accepting both the B1G1 coupon and the $4/2 to make both free and get the 8ECB.

Make sure to use the $4/2 coupon first. And let's stop the judgment on what is “wrong”– this is just savvy coupon shopping.

            • Kendall

I used the B1G1 first and it worked fine

            • sara

              I dont understand…..
they might give you that deal but I'm not comfotable doing.

            • Crystal

I was just saying that I'm not comfortable judging people who are doing this deal and jumping on the “it's wrong, it's fraudulent” bandwagon. Let your conscience be your guide. Anyone who feels it's wrong should definitely NOT be doing the deal this way. Anyone who feels it's okay – well, that's their choice, and since it's kind of a gray area, it's not really anyone else's place to judge them for it.

            • Hester

actually she had one coupon per item 1 body wash and 1 -$4 off of 2 coupon then 1 body wash and 1 B1G1 coupon. I did the same thing today. Although the coupon states buy 1 get one free the store simply changes the retail price to reflect a half price sale on both items. THEN the -$4 off of 2 is applied. The store still gets paid for the item plus the coupon processing fees. Actually everyone wins. We are not stealing or breaking any rules, and IF it were losing money do you think a store like CVS with its market analysis divisions etc. would really allow it to happen? They already know what coupons there are printed, and they have the same information that we all have.

            • Brooke

Hi Hester, why do you think it is then that Jenny replied to someone's post and stated to buy 2, use B1G1, and go ahead and grab a 3rd one to use $4 off 2…to get an extra one(3rd) one free?

            • Wende

Sorry, that's not right. You need to have a total of 3 items to use a B1G1 and a $4/2. You buy the 2 – get $4.00 of them and then get one free. If you only get 2 it's fraud – maybe accidental, but still not correct.

          • Hester

actually it IS one coupon per item 1 body wash and 1 -$4 off of 2 coupon then 1 body wash and 1 B1G1 coupon. I did the same thing today. Although the coupon states buy 1 get one free the store simply changes the retail price to reflect a half price sale on both items. THEN the -$4 off of 2 is applied.

        • Wende

you can't – need to get 3 for this

          • Lucy

I don't think you can because the BOGO coupon attaches to the 2nd item, so you can't use any more coupons on that. But you can buy 4 body washes and use 2 BOGOs and 1 $4/2… and still pay $4 and get your $8 ECBs :)

      • Ashley

Wow, I was definitely confused about how this was supposed to work, but I went and tried and it worked. $16 profit between 2 cards! Thanks Angel.

    • Kat15

    • peryn

I just came back from the CVS on the corner of Jiles and 41 in Kennesaw Ga. As I walk in I hear this women going on about “coupon users” and how they should be arrested! It was a women in her 50's who worked there. She was on the phone in the front of the store talking about another customer. She said “I told her if you want to use that B1G1 free you need to but another one”. She went on to say that these coupon users were committing a federal offense and something needs to be done about them. Everything out of her mouth was libel and very unprofessional. Of course I have my B1G1 Q's and rush thru the store while she is still on the phone so I don't get her as a cashier. Now I don't know what happened-but CVS should be ashamed of her. I also know that the sequence of coupons matter-dollar off before B1G1. I stayed clear of her-so didn't think to get her name. I did say something to the young guy cashier-I said “Maybe whoever she is talking about just made a mistake-not a federal offense”. He just smiled. Boy if she is the manager-she should be fired.

      • ItsACouponThing

I don't know if you'd feel comfortable or not, but I really think you should contact CVS. Just tell them “one of your employees” if you don't want to point her out, or describe her, if you do. Tell them that you were very offended with her bad-mouthing a customer on the phone for all to hear, even though you did not know the customer. They can talk with everyone, instead of just her, and she'll know. But since she didn't get you, she won't know who turned her in.
Always be careful talking about someone in public. You never know who might be listening. It could be a friend or family to that person!

        • peryn

I sent CVS an email. She was way out of line…even if someone was trying to pull a fast one. She also has a bad attitude towards coupon users. I will avoid her for sure!!

    • Sandy

anyone in Spartanburg,SC area…the CVS on Garner Rd has the L'Oreal foundation(usually $14.59) on clearance for 75% off. I got 3 bottles for $10.86, used (3) $1.00 coupons,$4.00 ECB from last week, got $3.00 in ECB, . My final cost $.86+$.65 tax = $1.51 …….should have spent $46.39(tax included) that is a
      $44.88 savings…..WOW!!!

    • Sandy

………….and the rest of the story, I got $119.48(tax includ.) worth of “stuff” for $17.64……
that is a savings of,$101.84……..I love CVS…”the land of free!!!

    • mrscheapstuff

sorry just realized i was talkin about the one in a different month of All you…sorry guyz!!

    • donna

I am new to cvs couponing. what is the difference in when you give the cashier your cvs card, I usually give the card at the beginning of the order unless I forget.

      • Lucy

They all ask for your card in the beginning, so I don't think that you would be able to give it to them in the end. Otherwise, you would save more money on BOGO coupons. For example, Gillette body wash is $4 on sale with CVS card but $5 without card. So if you scan the BOGO coupon first, it will take off $5, but when you scan CVS card later, the prices will go back to $4, so it's like you are saving $1 more. Hope I wasn't too confusing :)

    • Ashley

I think I had a great shopping trip this am…I got 2 Old Spice BW, 2 Gillette BW & 1 Old Spice deodorant. 1 Sunday newspaper, and 4 Sobe lifewaters plus gallon of milk.
      I used 1 $4 off and 2 Gillette BW
      1 b1g1 old spice bw
      1 b1g1 gillette
1 buy any 1 old spice bw and get old spice deodorant free.
      2 b1g1 sobe life water.
      $8 EBC from last week.

my total oop was $1.43 I hope I continue to do this well this is my 6th trip to cvs. thanks Jenny for your help!

    • On Transaction #3 you only buy 1 thermacare heat wrap so how do you get back the $5 ECB? Does it carry over from the purchase of one in Transaction #2? It looks like the computer would have to track how many you buy even if they are in different transacations and then give you the ECB when you complete both purchases. Am I anywhere close? Thanks

      • Deanna

You are exactly right. Using your ExtraCare Card, CVS is able to track your purchases of weekly sales items. It's sometimes more advantageous to split the “deal” into separate transactions to reduce your OOP, and the ECBs will print after you've purchased the last item needed to complete the deal. You don't have to purchase the number or $$$ amount of items needed to earn the ECBs in one transaction…you can purchase them in separate transactions, in different CVS stores, or on different days (as long as you complete the purchase during the week of the sale).

    • lucy

The Nivea $5 ECB wyb $15 is printing with a total of $14.97 again this week. Since the Nivea items are $1 off, the women's body washes are on sale for $4.99 here. Buy 3, use three of the the $4 off women's body wash coupons and you'll spend $2.97 but will receive a $5 ECB. That's a $2.03 MM. It's a $4.03 MM if you still have the $2 off CRT that was printing at the coupon printer a couple weeks ago.

    • Alicia

      My transaction was:
      2 Old Spice Bodywashes
      4 Ragu spaghetti sauces
      2 Lipton Tea
      2 Black Olives
      2 Panteen
      2 M&Ms (.49 ea)
      I used $1 (2) Panteen, .75/2 M&Ms, (2).60/2 Ragu, .60/2 Lipton, $1 Olives, B1G1 Old Spice, $4 off $20 CVS coupon, $14 ECB from last week. Total OOP $4.62+tax. A great savings!

      • Alicia

I forgot to mention that I also got back $13 ECB.

      • Lucy

Do you know how much are Ragu sauces? I could use some, just trying to figure out my oop :)

        • Amanda

$3 for 5 at my CVS today

    • Hester

M&M's are on sale for .48 cents each pack-in SS 5/23 there is a .-0.75 off of 2 packs.
that is about 0.11 per bag-yummy

    • Alisha

      CVS Trip today
      Purchased the following items:
2-Old Spice Body Wash @$4.00 each
      1-Vaseline Aloe Fresh 10 oz. lotion @$3.69
      1-20 fl. oz Cherry Coke @ $1.59
      1-Snickers Almond @ $0.48

      $4.00 ECB
$4.00 ECB reduced down to $3.76
      OOP….91cents plus I got back $8 ECBs

      • Jules

        What's OOP?

        • Amanda

Out Of Pocket…that is what you pay the cashier after coupons

    • David

To me, it doesn't look like the deal on American Express gift cards are that great. You have to buy a minimum of 2 in order to get $5 in ECB. On the back of the card, it says an activation fee of $3.75 will be assessed upon activation. You're already behind the 8 ball on that one. The potential ECB savings are wiped out by the activation of each card (3.75 x 2).

      • ASmith

CVS is one of the few places I have even seen any saving on these. We have purchased the gift cards for my father-in-law because we know for whatever reason he likes them. If you need the cards then 5 ECB is 5 ECB for a regular CVS shopper that can be used on any number of things. Just one girl's opinion. I took this to just be a saving over the normal rate.

      • Lucy

Yea, it's not a money maker, but if you have some birthdays coming up and you know you'll HAVE to purchase gift cards, then it's a good deal.

    • Sean

Check your stash for $2 off Gillette body wash coupons that came in the Gillette Mach 3 packages if you purchased those anytime in the recent past. If you have it, use it with the BOGO coupon and have a $6 moneymaker.

      • Lucy

Thanks! I had 1 $2/1 bodywash that came from the clinical deodorant box :)

    • Supermombeaufort

      I had trouble today trying to find neutrogena cosmetics that cost 3.49. The cheapest I could find was 8.99 and I wound up buying a product I really wanted that was 13.99 but I got the ECB (for spending over $10) and can't do neutrogena on my other transactions unless I use my husband's card. (Right?) Any tips on what the 3.50 neutrogena cosmetics are so I can use my other 3.00 off coupons. I bought more All Yous at Walmart just to get this deal :{

      • Amy J.

I was wondering the same thing regarding the $3.49 Neutrogena make-up, as the cheapest at one of my CVS stores is $7.99 (lip tint)…..Did anyone find the $3.49 Neutrogena make-up? if so, what was the product? (Thanks!)

Right, Supermombeaufort, you'd have to use your husband's CVS card to get the ECB's for the Neutrogena deal.

    • Laray

Question. If I do the Old Spice deal for my 1st transaction and get $8 ECBs back then I buy something in my next transaction where I don't use all of the eight ECBS (say my total is $5 Does CVS print out a receipt where they give me $3 ECB's back)?

      • Crystal

No, you would either lose the remaining $3 ECB's or you could buy something else that costs $3 to use up all the $8 ECB's. (essentially just getting another $3 item free)

        Does that make sense?

        • Laray

          Yes, thank you

    • tigerbeach

Can someone explain how the Sobe deal will work?……
Sobe is B1G1. I have 2 B1G1 coupons (printed). Should I get 4 ($0 oop) or do I purchase one and others free? Do I get more than 4 with my 2 B1G1 coupons?
      Thank you for your help!

      • Lucy

I think you should get 4 free if you use 2 BOGO coupons. I don't think it will work any other way.

        • Ruth

I had 2 BOGO coupons and got 4 bottles for free yesterday.

      • Mom2Ryley

I did this a couple weeks ago and you would get 4 free. HTH :)

    • Lucy

So here is my trip to CVS this week:

      2 Gillete body washes = $8
      6 boxes of Kellogs = $10
      -BOGO Gillete body wash
      – 2 $1.50/3 cereal
      =$8 oop + tax
      get back $8 ECBs

Since this $8 oop cuts into my grocery budget, I bought 2 bottles of milk and 3 jars of baby food.

So that's 2 body washes, 6 boxes of cereal, 2 gallons of milk and 3 jars of baby food for $8. I'm pretty happy :)

Had a great CVS trip today (minus not being able to find the $3.49 Neutrogena cosmetics! cheapest was $7.99 at one of my CVS stores, gonna check out the other CVS tomorrow morning)……
      anyway, i bought 2 Gillette b.w., 1 revlon creme gloss (75% off), 1 revlon eyeliner (75% off), 2 Thermacare…..total after q's (b1g1, cvs printed q for $4/2 revlon products, two $1 revlon q's, two $3 thermacare q's) and $8 ecb's from last week…..(incl. tax) $2.17 (only 46 cents before taxes)…..got back $13 ecb's :-)
      Shopping this way sure is an addiction ;-}

I have a question about the charcoal coupons. There are three freebie coupons; can I use all three when purchasing just one bag of charcoal? Also, I have a $2/1 bag 11.1 lb or larger. If I were to use that coupon on a larger bag, could I also use the freebie coupons with just one bag purchased?

      • Rhonda

Yes!!! Because each coupon is for a different item, you can use ALL of them at the same time. It worked great for me a few weeks ago. :)

        • MaryKF

Thanks! That is exciting news indeed.

    • Trace

Parade magazines have $1 off Pantene products too! It's on the back cover!

    • tanya

can someone tell me what Neutrogena cosmetic is 3.49?? the cheapest Neutrogena I found at my CVS was makeup remover at 5.99. I bought two of them and used my -$3 coupons but that was still a lot out of pocket.

      • Jennifer

Checked the 5 CVS stores nearest to me, we don't seem to have any.

    • RobinB78

My hubby loves me even more today after my first round at CVS. Had 2 free Old Spice Body Wash wyb Old Spice Fresh Collection Deodorant. So I got 2 of my hubby's FAVORITE deodorants, 2 of his FAVORITE body washes, used $10 of ECBs that I actually FOUND (thought I had lost them and they expired TOMORROW!) Paid $2.45 oop after tax. So I got all four products for 61 cents each! Now I'll have the best smelling hubby around! :-)

    • Andrea

I just wanted to pass on that I found Sun Light at my CVS marked down to 25¢. I used the 25¢/1 Sun Light Q from SS 2/28/10 to score FREE Sun Light!

    • I had a problem redeeming ECB's at the register today, I had two $4 ECB receipts, and the cashier only took one of them and notified me that I had “reached the coupon limit.” I had more items than coupons, and had an $11 oop! I was incredibly frustrated! Then my $5 on Nivea didn't print since the body washes were on an unadvertised sale for $1 off, and my total for those only came to $14!

In better news, there is a $1 off any Pantene product coupon in Parade in the Times Picayune this week, hopefully other people are having better luck at CVS than I have lately.

      • camp

did she explain what “reached the coupon limit” meant?

        • No! I still have no idea what she was talking about, but she tried keying in my ECBs about three times to no avail.

          • Jennifer

She should have called the manager to override.

            ~CVS employee

      • Jbush27

Ecb's are not supposed to be like coupons.Evey time I go I have usually have for example, 5 things and 5 q's for those things and then use like 2 ecb receipts and never have a problem.

    • camp

this is my second week playing the “cvs game”. i'm starting to think it's a big conspiracy to get me to buy (and eat) delicious candy bars. i really need to learn my filler items and plan ahead!

    • Jen

does anyone know on the Nevia deal since it says limit one if I did the deal a couple of weeks ago am I allowed to do it again this week??

      • Asmith

I would say yes I have done several. I did one yesterday and my receipt states amount toward this reward 45.00, amount needed to earn reward 15. I would say offer limit reached if I could not do again. I would only do one at a time and check the bottom of your receipt . I saw on another website limit of 5 but I don't know the truth of that but I have done 3 and received 5ecb each time

      • Jennifer

Nivea seems to be limit one per transaction, not limit one for the sale period.

    • chrystalm

Fathers day is right around the corner, I'm going to make gift bags for my 2 brothers including the Gillette/Old Spice body washes, the deoderant, and the free razors from last week. I will probably throw in some toothpaste also. *I have tons of those in my stockpile* CVS is saving me tons. With things so tight all around me they would probably appreciate that more than just another tie.

      • Jbush27

They will appreciate it. I do this for my family members and they like it when I give them things like this better than any other gift.

    • schube1988

Where can you find the getting started CVS ideas??? I need to get started!

    • Shirley

Would you like to hear a story?

I went to do my first CVS run yesterday with my dh, I left him to his own devices as I went to collect my stuff. A few minutes later, an excited dh came and dragged me over to the toys aisle, and showed me an action figure; it was the Ahsoka character with Rotta version.

For those who went ,'What?', he is a huge Star Wars fan and he has been following the Clone Wars series. That series features Ahsoka Tano, the apprentice of Anakin Skywalker, and this particular version action figure of the character is pretty rare to find (we have searched everywhere). He has been craving it for ages, I know, *rolls eyes*.

Anyway, I tried to tell him that I could get it for free for him if he could wait a day or two so I can rework my scenarios, right? Well, needless to say, he absolutely refused and kept giving me big puppy eyes. So I had to return all me stuff, and get the figure for him that day, which used up all my leftover ECBs (OOP=97c with tax for a $12.99 action figure). He was over the moon the rest of the day, and I guess that's the kind of thing you live for, right?

Moral of the story; don't bring your dh when you shop, or at least keep a tighter reign on him if you do. Do you have any dh stories to share? Cheers

      • LeAnnaShaw

That is SOOOO funny…but what a good wife you are!!

      • Robin

I would have done the same thing, reluctantly of course…

    • Lesa

Has anyone found a Neutrogena products for $3.49??

      • Jennifer

No. And the coupons for $3 off won't work on skincare.

***My total out of pocket owed before tax at this point was $0.97. I didn't feel like having my ECB adjusted down or hunting for another filler so I just kept my other little $1.00 ECB and paid it***

      Total: $0.97 + tax and get $5.00 ECBs + $1.00 ECB leftover.

Here's the funny thing: I STILL got the ECBs on the Nivea even though my total was under $15. And on my receipt for that deal it says “$29.97 towards this offer. Amount needed to get this offer: $0.03.” ??? Interesting.

      • Frugal-J

        What is “IP”?

        • guest

          IP = internet printed coupon

      • Jennifer

We're cool that way. Your next receipt will print that you need “15.03” to get it, if there's no limit or a higher limit than 1. If it's limit 1, the next receipt will read that you spent $14.97 and “offer limit reached.”

    • Em

Certain condoms are 50-75% off right now. Doesn't seem like they advertise a product sale like this, but certain boxes are going for $3 and change!

      • Shirley

I am sorry you can't find it in yours and yes, quite a few of the listed are regional, ie. the same coupon can't be found in my Red Plum either. Unless this site knows that a particular coupon is regional, it won't be listed as such, no site is perfect, although they will try their best. If you have just started couponing, I can understand your frustration, if you need to rant, we are all ears, but understand that this site only acts as a guide, if you don't have the coupons, or can't get it (I can't print some b/c my OS is not supported for example) then try trading, using a clipping service, or like me, just skip it, there will always be another deal.

        My advice; just breathe. Cheers

      • mandy

what paper are you getting? if it the chattanooga your are gonna miss ALOT of coupons, if you have a way to get the Atlanta Journal Constitution, you will have all that Jenny mentions.

    • Anne

I know it's a little late, but there's a B1G1 Oil of Olay coupon in Sunday's Parade for free Total Effects body wash when you buy Total Effects Facial Moisturizer (which has $1 off coupon in 5/2 P&G). That works well with the body wash deal this week.

      • Shirley

Thanks Anne, if you hadn't mentioned it, it wouldn't have occurred to me to use it, and I saw the same coupon too. Cheers

    • AshleyD

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of CVS's coupon policy? I didn't see it on the website. I had a problem today with the sobe water deal. The cashier and manager refused to let me use my b1g1 coupons and looked at me as if I were trying to steal or something. I didn't push the issue because I didn't want to make a scene, but if I have proof that it is a legit deal, I might go back later this week. Thanks :)

      • Jodie

I used two B1G1 coupons and got 4 for free yesterday in western FL.

      • Anonymous

Ashley-I have something that I got off of another web site…hip2save.com Click on stores on the tab at the top. And then CVS. Scroll down…and underneath coupons..there is a NEW UPDATE…and it is a copy of a letter that was mailed to a customer clarifying the policy. It clearly states you CAN do this!! Hope it helps…

    • Mholmes

In order to get the ECB wyb 2 of something . . .do they not have to be in the same transaction (such as the thermocare: ad says get $5ECB wyb 2 – but the scenario has it in two different transactions) just want to make sure before I go try it:)

      • StephanieATL

I split mine. After the 2nd purchase it printed off my $5 ECB.

You did GREAT! Congrats! 12% tax, though, where do you live??? Ours is only 6%!

        • StephanieATL

I work in downtown Atlanta. The store close to my job never runs out of any of the sale stuff. The 12% is actually 2 taxes (a 8% and 4%). I don't live in ATL so I have no idea what these taxes are for. I live in Cobb, but it's hard to find the sale items in stock.

          • Susanne

The 4 percent tax is on food items and you are only charged 4 percent sales tax on these items.

The other percentage (you said 8 percent) is for the state sales tax, marta (rapid transit) sales tax, and any local sales tax for that county or city on items that are not considered food items.

So while you paid 8 percent on non food items, you only paid 4 percent on food items and you did not pay 12 percent on any one item.

            Hope this helps clarify it.

    • Alyssa

I have not been to CVS yet this week but I am planning on doing the Gillette deal. I am going to use the B1G1 coupon and also a coupon that I got for 1.50 off Gillette body wash. For the past few weeks when I have gone to Kroger the register has printed out a Katalina for 1.50 a Gilette body wash and there was a home mailer that I got from them a few weeks ago with the same coupon.

      • 3monkeysmom

I keep getting these at Walgreens. They've been printing out two at a time. Happened twice :-)

    • LeAnnaShaw

I have a question-if anyone can help. CVS has the arm and hammer 2 in 1 dryer sheets on sale…b1g1. Can I use 2 1/1 coupons on these? Or b/c I am getting one 'free' will it not take the coupon? Also on the nuetragena…did anyone find products in the 3.50-4.50 range? I tried to get the face clothes…but they are not good w/ coupon :( And I got tons of other make up at 75% off so I don't need anything unless it is a real great deal!

      • Amanda

Yes, LeAnna, you can use (2) $1 off coupons. The store deals are always separate from the manufacturer deals. You are purchasing 2 products, so you can use both coupons, not matter what the CVS deal is. Lucky you, you will get $2.00 off of the one product you will be paying for! Great, huh?!!

        • LeAnnaShaw

TY-wooo hooo! Even at about 3.60(not 2.60) for the 2 arm and hammer dryer sheets…it seems to be a good deal. But today for the first time-the cashier read every one of my q's…like I was theiving! She unnerved me so much. I was so irritated. She did this BEFORE she even tried to scan them! And just a few moments before-the manager had seen me-and tapped me on shoulder and said 'nice to see you and that wonderful binder' My 15yo son about died. 'mom they KNOW you??? OMG' YEP!!! But apparently the cashier does not have the same feeling. I am going to try to go when she is not there!

          • Mandy

Unfortunately, there are some cashiers that need a lesson on being nice! Stick to your guns – we are honest shoppers, and not looking to cheat anyone! Just hard working moms looking to save a buck when we can ;) You're doing great!!

    • Jennifer

I went to the CVS in my town yesterday and the CVS in the neighboring town (in South GA) and both stores are out of Gillette body wash and Old Spice body wash!! Do the stores only get a limited amount of these ECB items?

      • Mandy

Jennifer- maybe you should check to see if any of the stores put up their Sunday deals on Saturday. For instant, I have a store nearby that starts their Sunday deals on Saturday around 3:00p. How do I know? I walked in one afternoon & all of the Sunday deals were already posted. I asked the clerk if the Sunday deals were already in the system, and he sd yes. Ever sense, I shop on Saturday nights, and everything is usually in stock. It depends on the store, though. Hope that helps!

        • Jennifer

Mandy, I think my store must do that. I am new to the “CVS” thing, but when I was in Saturday afternoon I noticed the manager putting some things out, and the Kellogg's cereal was already $1.66 and I was wondering why since it was in this week's circular!! So that must be the case. It was around 5 pm. Thanks for the tip!!

      • asmith

You can also get a rain check and they will also honor the ECB

      • Julie

I find that when the deal is especially good (like a moneymaker or getting the purchase price back in ECBs) then yes, there's often a “run” on those items first. You have to remember that a lot more people are cruising these sites these days. I usually go the night before if I can or Sunday morning for the great deals. If they're out though, I find that waiting until Thursday or Friday will give the store time to restock, and people will tend to forget to check back.

      • meags

no they dont. they order according what projected sales will be. since there are coupons out for these body washes, they are flying off they shelves.

    • 3monkeysmom

Ok…so I'm the biggest bonehead. They still had the signs up for last weeks Revlon ECB deal and I didn't read the dates on it, thought it was current and totally wasted $8 in ECBs on it. Didn't realize it until I got to the car and looked at my reciept, then pulled the ad out.
I only went in to get some Loreal lipgloss that was on clearance for $2.12. Scanned my card at the kiosk and got a $3 off any Revlon purchase, got waaaaay too excited about, saw the signs and went to town working out deals!!
On the plus side, I was looking for the Reinventing Beauty mag…they didn't have any but the cashier handed me a few booklets that have alot of store coupons and a few manuf. coupons in it. They had them behind the counter for some reason so ask around for it :-)

      • If they had the ads up they still need to honor it. My CVS had covergirl mascara on sale with ECBs back for a really good deal several weeks ago. Well they had the signs in the wrong spot. I bought it, use my q's and ECB's. I expected to get ECBs back, but I did not. I took the girl back to the spot and she talked to the manager. They fixed it since it was looked at as false advertisement.

        • 3monkeysmom

I would have went back in but they were really busy, several people in line behind me and I just didn't feel like dealing with it…And I'm sure by the time I'm able to make it back out there, the signs will be down :-)

        • Jen

I agree with going back, although sometimes it's difficult, depending on who/where you're dealing with. A local CVS literally had the digital sale up on their outdoor sign saying Scott's tp for $4.99. We literally stopped for that purpose (my friend ONLY uses Scott's – something about her system), and when we asked where to find it, the cashier informed us that the sale price is wrong, it's supposed to be over $6! We walked back out. If it shows $4.99, they should have honored it, but they did not. She actually said that something's wrong with the sign, that sometimes it will show the correct price, the next minute it shows a lower price. (I say turn off the sign!)

    • kbribelin

is the sweet baby ray's sauce at 50 cents after cvs sale of 2 for 3$ then pair with the 5-23 ss $1 off each a good enough deal to grab them now or should we wait?

      • jen

Since no one wrote, I'll TRY to help. I personally love that deal! Usually when things go for less than $1, it's a bargain. From what I've read before, if you can use it now, and it's a really good deal (like 50c), go ahead and get it. If you have time, and you don't really need it yet, you can take a gamble that it might get better. At the most, you're losing 50 cents. At best, you're saving over $1 and paying very little! I say go for it, if no one comes back with some insight. HTH. (Don't be mad at me if my answer's wrong. Would love for someone to respond, one way or the other!)

      • Heather

sorry i did not see this yesterday…Publix had it B1G1 last week. I got 2 bottles for .19 last night. I had those Q's in my CVS stack too until I did my Publix list yesterday. @ .50 is still not bad.

    • Jessica

      What neutrogena are 3.49?

      • LeAnnaShaw

Jessica-I could not find them either…I finallly decided on the face wipes-make up removers-b/c I needed them…but then they were not included in coupon. I should have noticed that too! I even looked on end caps-etc. But those q's will be great when they have a sale!(I had even bought an extra All to get three)

      • Amanda

Lip gloss is $4.49. The cheapest things to go for are eye liners, lip liners, puffs, and items like that.

    • Jenna

I tried to print the coupons that were free with the Kingsford Charcoal purchase, but when it got down to the print button, it gave me a message that said I had already printed them. I even tried to do the survey with my husband's name & email, but got the same response. Couldn't find a phone or email to send a message to anyone to see if maybe it was a printer/offer malfunction. Has anyone else had this problem?

      • Marina

That normally means that the max number of prints available has been reached. HTH

    • Barbara in SC

Just curious…does anyone know… if an item is B1G1 50% off and you use a B1G1 free coupon….how that would ring up?

      • LeAnnaShaw

barbara-if you are using a b1g1 free coupon on a b1g1 item(i.e. the sobe water) then you only pay tax. CVS does not ring 1bg1's at 50% I don't think. Hope that helps

        • Jbush27

I believe she was referring to items that are on sale for buy one get one 50% off.

          • LeAnnaShaw

Thanks jbush….I did not read it correctly the first time! silly me!

      • Mysterious_Mentalist

Universally speaking, such Q is used for lower priced item. If you had just regular items you were buying with b1g1 Q., then the Q would be applied to “equal or lesser value” item. Therefore sale items would be no exception.

Similarly, if you had store sales b1g1 alongwith the price also reduced for the item, and you also wanted to use manuf. Q b1g1, then the Q. value would have been the “new reduced/sale” price of the item that you are getting free with manuf q. (not the regular price should be deducted). For example, if Sobe water is store sales b1g1 free and its price for the item also reduced, say $1 (from $1.59), then manuf Q. value deducted for the manuf given “free” item should be $1, not $1.59.

    • Jenn D.

Definitely ask your CVS about unadvertised sales on condoms and pregnancy tests. I asked today because of someone's earlier comment and was able to get them for 75% off. They had them in a box in the back and one of the ladies there went through them with me and priced them for me. I got a box of 36 Trojans for $6 and a 3 pack of CVS pregnancy tests for $3!!! What a great find!

      • 3monkeysmom

        Lol :-) Condoms AND pregnancy tests…. :-)
After my last daughter was born, the cashier at Wal-Mart had a giggle fit b/c my husband was buying a pack of diapers and a TON of condoms ;-)

      • meags

it is not an unadvertised sale. they are clearance items because the feminine planogram was being redone. clearance items are not stated in the ad, but it doesnt hurt to ask your local CVS if and where they have their clearance section.

    • Lyvismommy

Had a small but productive week at CVS. I got:
2 Bottles of Old Spice BW
      4 Sobe LifeWaters
      1 Secret Deoderant
      Total Before Savings and Coupons:$21.83
      I used:
      2 B1G1 Sobe Coupons
1 B1G1 Old Spice Coupon (Included in a P&G Sample Box)
      1 .50/1 Secret Coupon
      $4 ECB's from last week
      I paid $2.84 and got $8 ECB's back.
So, I essentially made $1.16. Relatively new to all this, so this was my first trip where I ended with an overage!!! Woohoo!

      • guest

You did great! But as a matter of correct terminology, technically 'overage' is 'extra' or 'spillover' that is applied to your current order, but you made a 'profit' b/c you got back more than what you put in. Happy shopping. :)

    • Sue

I had an awesome trip to CVS yesterday. I was looking for just the Nivea and Gillette Body Washes. I found that they had just 4 ladies' Nivea on the shelf and 1 Gillette. I was about to give up on the Gillette (wanted to use B1G1 Q's) and check another store later, when I remembered that a while back I found the Dial BW on an end cap. Even the mgr thought they were out. Well, I found the Gillette in a basket at the front of the store, not in clear view when I walked in. So using 2 cards, this is what I bought.
      6 Gillette Body Washes
      3 Nivea Body Washes
      -2 B1G1 Gillette Q's
      -2 4/2 Gillette Q's
      -3 $4 Nivea Q's
      -$11 ECBs
      Total paid 2.28 (all tax)
Got back $22 ECBs (includes $1 tag ecb)
      I made a profit of 8.72!!

Using two cards is wrong. These limits were made so that CVS can keep giving us good deals while not losing too much money. It's people like you that hurt CVS and make the future deals even worse.

        • Sue

One card is mine and the other belongs to my husband. CVS issued both cards using the correct information supplied by both of us. It would be very easy for them to cross-reference names and addresses when issuing cards. We each have a separate on-line account. In many cases, the managers of the stores ring up my purchases and know that I am using 2 cards. Also, in some cases, each person in an unmarried couple with separate residences may have a card, but once they are married, their household has 2. I see no real difference in this and using 2 different computers to print coupons so that you will have 4 coupons instead of the limit of 2.

          • Brooke

I'm sorry Tim jumped on you like that Sue. It doesn't look like Tim is aware that CVS gives a card to each person in the household. If CVS was “losing money” then they wouldn't allow it. That's pretty laughable considering I zipped in and out of the store the other day, used mine and my boyfriend's card and 4 coupons total, of which $16 will be reimbursed by the mfr to CVS.

            • Sue

Thank you.for coming to my defense. I actually sometimes shop for a friend using her card to make purchases for her. But I see nothing wrong with my husband and me each having a card.

            • Logansmom318

There is no “limit” on cards lol. Ugh some people are so quick to point fingers and make people feel bad. It's every man/woman for themselves these days and if that means you use things to the limit then so be it. And for anyone else that agrees with Tim………..how is it any different than a new person signing up for a card that didn't already have one…….its not like they are going to stop giving them out when they get to a certain number. Sheesh. Be happy for those that find the great deals, Work a little harder and you, like Sue, can be an awesome “CVSer” :)

            • Jennifer

Nobody is stealling anything from CVS – CVS is being reimbursed for each and every one of those ECB coupons by a manufacturer. So, use as many cards as you want, keep getting those Gillette ECBs – just keep your cards straight, and don't try to use a coupon for a card it isn't for.

            • leslie

I went to one of Jenny's seminars (which was very good) and she said that you and your husband can both have cards.

            • jhh

I thought the card is per household. So it is not right now? If not, I am going to apply for my husband toooooo! That will be very helpful!

        • Cindy

If I remember Correctly, I read somewhere on CVS's website that they suggest that each member of the family obtain their own card. I could be wrong, it's been a while since I saw it, but I think that is the case.

        • Sheila

CVS knows what they are doing. They encourage each person to have their own card. This is a marketing thing with CVS and they use these cards to get you in the store knowing you will buy other things as well, get your prescriptions there, etc. They are very happy to issue cards…trust me they are making money like crazy while we are using our little extra cards and ECB's. Sue is not doing anything wrong Tim.

        • Sue

Also, that 8.72 was in ECB's so it will be spent in CVS.

    • Krisi House

I am new at CVS deals,I didnt see a “getting started' section this time. Does anyone have any ideas ?

      • Sue

Getting started is very easy this time. Purchase the Gillette BW for $4 and get $4 back. Use coupons if you have them. Then purchase a second one, using coupons if you have them, and get $4 back again. You can also print the Sobe Q's and get free water with either or both transactions. In the end you could spend just a maximum of $4 plus tax on all, have 2 bottles of Gillette Body Wash, up to 4 bottles of water, and $4 ECBs left for next week. This is how I started, by buying something that was free after ECBs

    • Stacey

I went to CVS today and tried to get 2 Gillette Body washes. I had a B1G1 free coupon and a $4 off coupon and I was hoping to get them both free bc they are $4 this week. The cashier said the computer would not let her use both. Does anyone know the coupon policy that could help me out?

      • Stephanie C.

I have done this same kind of deal before and I did it wrong the first time but the 2nd time it worked. You have to be sure to give them the $4 Q first, then give the B1G1 and it should work. If you give the B1G1 first, it registers that one is free and then won't let you use the $4 Q.

      • Ruth

I had the same problem. Cashier mixed up my coupons from the order I gave them to her. Next time, I will give Qs one at a time so there will be no “shuffling” of my Qs. No matter how I tried to explain to her that I could use the $4 Q, she was not having it. I got 4 body washes for less then $2 oop, and $8 ECB back, but I should not have had to use my ECB I had received the week before. My DH did not want to create a scene, so I let it go.

        • Jennifer

Ask her to void the transaction and start again. She can also manually input it as a manufacturer coupon – which she may need mgr approval for, depending on the store.

Where I live, there are about 10 CVS stores within a 10 mile radius of my house. I generally shop at the one I work at, they're very accomodating with coupons. If one store won't do it, take your business to another one. They're will get their full profit from the product they're selling.

      • Rose

I tried a simalar thing with some lip closs. I had a b1g1 coupon and a 1.00 off coupon both man. coupons and they would not let me use both for the 2 items even the manager said I could not do it. Was I right or was I wrong in reading that you could use both man. coupons?

    • asbrock

My trip to CVS today was very successful! Transaction #1 I purchased the Gillette body wash and one Gillette deodorant. I used 2 coupons, the first was “free body wash with purchase of the deodorant” & the other was “$2 off the deodorant”. My total was $3.16 & I got $4.00 ecbs for another transaction!! GREAT!!! Next transaction was a package of Huggies diapers for regular price $11.99, I had a $3.00 off coupon for the diapers, $4 in ecbs from the first transaction & $2 in ecbs from a previous week. My total for this transaction was $3.20!! I'm a very happy CVS shopper!!

    • sg

the CVS on Forest Drive does not consider Rite Aid a competitor and will not take any of their coupons. SG

      • Jennifer

Around here (Charlotte, NC) CVS does not take competitor's coupons – with the single exception of the $25 gift card/transferred or new prescription.

We also do not price match.

    • misty

someone may have posted a deal like this but this is what I did today…

Bought 4 Old Spice Body washes
Bought 1 Old Spice Body Spray
Used 1 B2 body washes get 1 body spray FREE
Used 2 BOGO coupons for Body Wash

      Paid $8 + tax OOP
      Got back $8 ECB!

      • kidsallgone

Were you able to get 4 body washes with one CVS card in one transaction?
        Anyone can reply. Thanks!!

        • Mysterious_Mentalist

If I understand your question correctly.

You can get as many body washes you want for $4-there is no limit on $4 sale. The limit is only on ECB; meaning only the first two bw will print ECBs, and after that no ecbs.

The poster above also used b1g1 free Qs combo in such a way that he maximized the benefits of buying them all together.

    • kidsallgone

Finally made it to CVS late Wednesday. This is what I bought and spent (took notes while shopping and I think I didn't include the tax). Had no problems with the cashier or the register or ECB's or coupons, or specials, etc etc etc.
I'm not sure if I could have done things different or if the cashier or I did something that wasn't quite right. Please let me know. Thanks for any advice. Just starting CVS'ing and I'm being really careful.

      2 Gillette Body Washes: $4.00 each = $8.00
      Used B1G1 coupon
      Used $4/2 coupon = Free

      2 bags of Gold Emblem (CVS brand/food) pretzels: 89cents each = $1.78
      Used $1/2 coupon = 78 cents

      2 boxes of Raisin Bran $1.66 each = $3.32
      Used $1/2 coupons = $2.32

      2 Revlon nail polish $5.00 each = $10.00
      On sale for 75% off = $1.25 each = $5.00
      B1G1 store sale = $1.25 for 2
(had already used (5) $2/1 coupons last week for the lipsticks that were $2 each = 5 free!!)
My sale didn't qualify for the $3 ECB when you buy $10 of Revlon items (not sure why, but I was OK with what I was getting)

      3 pkgs CVS q-tips 99 cents each = $3
Used (3) $1/1 CVS beauty coupons = Free

      4 pkgs CVS Kleenex 2/$1 = $2.00
Used (2) $1/2 CVS paper products = Free

Loreal mascara: on sale 75% off = $2.37
Loreal eyeliner: on sale 75% off = $2.35
      Used (2) $1/1 coupons= $1.37 + $1.35 = $2.72

      M&M's = 48 cents

      Used $3 off $15 CVS coupon = $3.29
Used $2.00 ECB from last week = $1.29
      Paid $1.29 cash
Got back $8.00 Extra Care Bucks

      2nd Transaction:
      2 Gillette Body Wash $4 each = $8.00
      Used B1G1 coupon and $4/1 coupon = Free :)
Got back $8.00 Extra Care Bucks

***Can't wait to see how much CVS will pay me to shop next week!!!***

      • Suemh

Great shopping, but I do not understand how you did this. The best I see is 2.00 plus tax on all. Maybe I”m missing something.

      • gabelman

Can you tell me where you find the cvs coupons for their brands?

        • Sue

These come from the price scanner/ coupon printer in the store.

      • nik

gillette body wash limited to 2 rite? can we buy 4 when using b1g1?

        • Sue

You can buy as many as you want. You will only get ECBs for 2.

      • Jennifer

When you purchase items that should qualify for something like “buy $10, get $XEB, ask for the extra bucks if they don't print out. They CAN print extra bucks, especially in the same week when they should know the promo codes. If the cashier isn't familliar with how to do it, ask for a manager.

For some reason, the registers don't recognize the clearance items as being toward that sale, but they should be. The manager/cashier should be happy to print you the EC bucks.

      • Jen

    • Shelley

Does anyone know if CVS takes day old expired bucks??! About to go shopping and need to know.

      • Sue

They will usualy take them at my store through Saturday of same week.

    • Pam

What Neutrogena product can you get for $3.49? I could not find anything less than $7.99 at CVS with the Neutrogena name o it.

      • Amanda

Lip gloss is $4.49. You should look for lip liners and eye liners they are usually cheaper items.

    • sealey5

I did pretty good at CVS this evening! I got (5) 3musketeers candy bars (on sale for $0.49, had (5) 25 cents off on those. Then I got the B1G1 Gillete bw. Had the B1G1 q. Used that. Then I got the B1G1 Sobe lifewaters, got 2 of them, so those were free! After using a $4.99 ECB from last week, and q's, I paid $1.00 OOP!!!!! :) Very happy! Have good candy bars, 2 drinks to drink and body wash to wash off with! Life is gooooood :)

    • Just thought I would add a post that I got my Gillette for free!!! PLUS 8ECB – the cashier was very familiar with Southern savers and I handed her my $4 off 2 and she said…”don't you have a B1G1 coupon” – she used both. The key is that you have to get a third product (that is if you were like me and only got the Gillette) and you have to scan the $4 off first and then the B1G1. Hope you all run into cashiers who are just as nice

    • Jennifer

Has anyone else had a problem with buying the Sobe water with the B1G1 coupon? Since the water is already B1G1, can you use the B1G1 coupon and get the water for free? I tried today and the cashier would not let me. Very new to CVSing. Thanks!

      • Amy

This should have worked. I've done it quite a few times with no questions. I would try again and question why they won't scan the coupon.

      • Livnlol

My CVS made me buy 1 and gave me 2 free. They also do this on any other b1g1 deals they have when I use a b1g1 coupon.

      • Ashley Clark

hey I did that deal this week and it worked for me! Sorry it didn't for you! Did that say why?

      • Kazzy

When I called 1800SHOPCVS the customer service rep said a B1G1 sale paired with a B1G1 coupon means you will only be paying the tax, she also said anytime their is a problem to call that number.CVS coupon policy should be consistant with all stores according to her.

    • Annie

Just an fyi, CVS has a dollar off huggies jeans diapers on their website, its a CVS coupon so it can be paired with a manu coupon! Hope that helps!

    • Stay away from SoBe and other “energy drinks” because they are designed to change a person’s DNA, causing cellular permutation, leading to death and damnation of the soul.

    • teachingthem

So I went in to do the Revlon nail color deal & all the polish was a miniumum of $4.99… but then I noticed a bunch of Revlon lip glosses & lipsticks were marked 75% off, making them $1.99 each. I used the 2 $2 off Revlon qs I'd brought for the other deal & got 2 new lipglosses free! Nice! Maybe you can find this at your store, too :)

    • Ashley Clark

Ring up all these items first then (used a $5 off $ 30 cvs q before the other q)
      Bought 2 Gillette for $4.00=$8.00 used B1G1q
      2 Old Spice for $4.00=$8.00 used B1G1q
      3 Women's Nivia @ $4.99=$14.97 Used B1G1, $4q,$2q
      1 Men's Nivia @ 3.99=3.99 Used $3q & $6 ecb from last week.
Paid $4.46 OOP total and got back $13 ecb.THEN…..
Bought Crest Vivid 3d $31.99 used ANOTHER $5 off $30 cvs q, used a $10 q, and my $13ecb I just received and paid $6.49 OOP!!!And got back $10ecb. SO a total of $10.95 OOP and GOT 8 bottles of body wash AND Crest Whitening Strips and went home with $10ecbs. If anyone else trys this I think another way to make it even better is to use the other $4 q for the gillette if you have it and they allow you too!
