Another mostly lack-luster week. *shakes head* I couldn't care less about the scratch-off gimmick. If anything, they are using that as an excuse not to have good sales. 2 or 3 good deals a week is NOT going to make it worth a trip – and they are only 3 minutes away from me!

      • MaryT

I agree — I have 2 Food Lions in town, one across the street from my neighborhood entrance, but since I've started couponing, I'd rather drive 20 minutes to Harris Teeter than darken the door of Food Lion except for emergency items (and even then it has to be a REAL emergency!) since our FLs don't double coupons. Lowes Foods is across town and has better deals, plus they double. But they're not even as good as Harris Teeter unless it's a real special sale. I do like them, though, because I get the $5 Fresh Rewards cash coupons for my next orders.

        • Cheryl

I agree with you Mary… We have Food lion in town. I have to drive miles to Harris Teeter and to Lowes Food. But it is worth it. I only go to FL when I just have to have or they have a super sale on something…

        • Samantha White

I'm completely with you on this MaryT. FL doesn't offer much in the way of sales, in fact, they are often higher than any store in my area. My local FL is nasty with dirty floors, spoiled produce in bins, gray colored meat, etc. The store actually smells bad when you walk in…eeewwww. Worst of all is the rotten attitude of several cashiers. The manager is nice, but many of his crew are down right ugly to customers. I don't see how they stay in business.

      • kcreviews

I'm definitely writing corporate about how stupid the lottery-scratch off cards are. We should all do that–maybe they will listen and actually lower prices instead.

        • Beck

the scratch-off thing is really lame!

      • Heather

Just be thankful you have other options…..FL is my ONLY option where I live.

    • ReeLee

Heck yeah! I've had the catalina print at Food Lion already and I have accquired 5 – $1.00 off coupons for Kraft cheese… I'm going to buy lots of it and stock back up :)

      • Amy

You got $1 OYNO when you bought just 1 bar of Kraft cheese or the slices?

        • ReeLee

No, Kraft is running the 5 OYNO if you buy 5 and I just happen to have 5- 1 dollar off coupons on top of it.

          • Laura

Does this offer work on the bagged cheese or just the slices?

            • Jennifer C

They have a lot of kraft items included in the 5.00 catalina promo. The bags of shredded cheese are included as well as the slices.

            • Amy

Do you know if the 2% cheese is included?

            • Jennifer C

I didn't notice the 2% cheese at my store today. I did really good, bought 5 bags and had two 1.00 off 2 q's. 7.50 – 2.00, paid 5.50 and got back the 5.00 catalina. 10¢ a bag!!!

    • Mncetheredge

There is a few things on my birthday party list on sale but other then that not a good sale…

    • kcreviews

Just so everyone knows, the Orville Redenbacher's popcorn printable q is no longer available.

    • Clsalsgiver

anyone know if you will have to buy 5 bags of cheese, or 10 because they are B1G1. Thanks

      • Nancybgood14

        5 only

      • Beck

i was wondering the same thing. i'm going to try 5 tomorrow. i'll post and let everyone know if it works.

        • beck

i went today & you only had to buy 5, all charged at half price. so the total was $7.65 w/ tax and I got the $5 catalina. in fact (at my food lion, anyway) they have limited it to only 2 free cheeses (I guess per transaction, not sure), so really 5 is the most you could do in one transaction for this deal. They are limiting how much cheese you can get too. I did 3 separate transactions, and even though I got different Kraft products in each sale (shreds in one, cheese singles in the next & got juice on this one too, and blocks in the 3rd), it beeped for manager approval on the third one. so i guess they're trying to avoid the “free for all” like they had with the cool whip a few weeks back.

          • beck

looked back at my receipts and since they said “limit of 2 free” they charged 4 cheeses @ half price ($1.25), the last one was full price ($2.50), bummer, oh well, still a good deal

    • Deanna

My Food Lion wouldn't let me use the coupon at the Kiosk with the coupon that I printed online…They said I could only use 1 or the other…Is this the norm? Has this happened to anyone else?

      • Deanna

I was trying to buy the juicy juice and use both.

        • beck

yeah, the juicy juice Q's that printed at the kiosk were manufacturer's, so they wouldn't allow that to be paired with an internet Q that was also a manufacturer's

      • Beck

it depends. in the past, FL has let you use one store coupon and one manufacturer's coupon on one item, so if the one that printed at the kiosk was a store coupon, it'd be ok, but most of the ones that print out for me are manufacturer's. but i've noticed that FL is now printing on some of their store coupons “may not be used with any other coupon”, so i guess they're rethinking their policy on this.

      • Cindy Casey001

It happen to me yesterday. I explained to the cashier that one was a store coup and the the other was mfg. She called the mgr. and he agreed. One cashier last week wouldn't let me use both. At that time the mgr was in a meeting….So I left my product and went back yesterday.

      • AndysGirl

It seems that some of the coupons I've printed at the kiosk have been store coupons, while others have been manufacturer coupons. Check the top of the coupons beside the expiration and it should state whether it's manufacturer or not. If not, you should be able to “stack” it with one.

There’s now a $1.00 off 3 boxes of Rice-a-Roni or Pasta Roni at coupons.com :) 67 cents per box now.

    • Nancybgood14

Ok Where is the kiosk center in FL? What doses it look like.
      thank you.

      • AndysGirl

The one at my store is right by one of the entrances. It's pretty tall and has a small tv screen on it. If you normally come in the same entrance, try checking the other entrance (if there are 2). Ask someone at customer service if you don't see it.

    • Nonniemonroe1

BUTTERBALL COUPONS …..someone said f l had some bb itemms bogo……anyone out there seen them? what was the item?

    • Anonymous

There’s now a $1.00 off 3 boxes of Rice-a-Roni or Pasta Roni at coupons.com :) 67 cents per box now.

    • Amy

What is the price of the cheeses?? Anyone know? Kroger has 16oz for $2.79???

    • Amy J.

I got an awesome deal when i went to Food Lion yesterday……they had the Windex Outdoor starter kit, reg price $14.99, on closeout for $6.99 and i had a $7 coupon :-) yep, free! thank God i went yesterday b/c my Q expired today!
i also got on closeout at FL the Scrubbing Bubbles Auto Shower Cleaner starter kit, reg price $16.99, closeout price $7.99, i had a $3 manuf Q, so i paid $4.99 for that…..pretty good!
other than the closeout deals i find occasionally, i agree with those of you that say FL prices are too high and their sales usually aren't that great. I try to get some of the B1G1 deals if i have q's for them. Yeah, the scratch-off game is very lame.
I do my main shopping at Kroger b/c i only have about 3 real options, and i totally avoid “the supercenter” except for the occasional trip to check out the clearance stuff and use my coupons if there are any great deals :-)

    • akellyinva
