Kroger Weekly Ad 8/16-8/22

At long last it is time to tell you that their is a Mega Event at Kroger this week!  This list includes the complete list of ALL participating Mega Event Products. I just ran into a wonderful Nashville Kroger to grab the prices.  Even found some coupon books we have long been out of in SC.  So thanks Tennessee folks.

  1. Load your P&G, Shortcuts and Cellfire Coupons before going out. (E coupons information)
  2. You can use a paper coupon with all the above e coupons for FREE products or even better savings WHY
  3. You do not have to buy 2 of B1G1 items to get the sale price
  4. Most Kroger stores double coupons that are .50¢ or less

Mega Event – Buy 10 participating items get $5 off instantly

The sneak ad list I received said there was no limit per transaction, however to keep it easier on yourself I wouldn’t recommend more than 3 per transaction.  Another tip is to shop with this list and keep a running total of how many you are buying!!

    • Susan

so no doubling here in sc?

      • Jenny

They are not doing super doubles in SC but will still double .50 cents or less.

    • CJ

Thanks for the class this morning. I’m not sorry it went over in time :) Thanks again for all you do.

    • Carol Wright

Hey Jenny…I was looking through the items on this list going “Hmm where have i seen this ad before???? OH YEAH HT!!!”

      hah :)

I am looking forward to you having a coupon class here in Nashville that i can attend (I know you were just here but i couldn’t get a babysitter etc. etc. yadda bladda!!) Have been trying to convince the pastor @ church that the church could definitely use your service and we have a biiiiiiiiig Church :)

Is there a max size for your classes? out of curiosity?

    • Sharon

Jenny, Thank you so much for posting this for us! I am loving that fruit snack deal. How do I know the shelf will be cleared by tomorrow morning. arrgghh

    • Nicole B

Does anyone know if a limit of how many deals per transaction?

    • Warm delights are $1.99 for the 2 mini bowls and $2.29 for the large bowl at my store.

    • Jenny

There is a 55 cent ecoupon on shortcuts for Multi grain cheerios and there is a 40 cent ecoupon on cellfire also for the betty crocker fruit shapes.

    • Kam

So, if you buy 20 participating items will you get $10 off your bill? Or is is just $5 off one time?

    • Jessica Janes

The GM cereal at my store is on sale $1.99 and the only one in the Mega Event for $1.49 is Trix. I was very disappointed when I looked at the ad last night.

    • Jen

Jessica – $1.49 is after the .50 comes off.

    • Kathi

Enjoyed your class. I have 2 computers in my house and didn’t know about using them both, it works, someone had told me it wouldn’t, so I hadn’t tried. You are just as nice and genuine as I expected. Thank you for everything you do. I have helped several people get into couponing thanks to you. I tell them it will change their lives if done right. And it does.

      Thanks again!

    • Jessica Janes

Jen, I know. In my ad the only cereal that is listed for the “mega event final cost after offer” is Trix in the GM brand.

    • Samantha

Thanks for getting this posted up early today – very excited about this mega event! Does anyone know if there is a way to delete coupons on Shortcuts.com?

    • Tara

Hi Jenny! I know that you are in my area, here in SC. I could not find any of the Digornio or Freschetta pizza coupons in any of our inserts/various dates. Is it just me? Did I miss anything? Thank you!

    • Anna

Wow, looks like a great week at Kroger! I can’t wait to stock up. We’re starting our stockpile of emergency food this week..haha. Thanks Jenny for all you do, I loved your class at New Hope in Dallas GA! You rock!

    • Jenn

I, too, would like to know if there is a limit to the number of rewards per transaction. I vaguely recall hearing 3 rewards per transaction (30 items – $15.00 off) from someone on another website but wondered if that’s true. If so, can you just do two transactions in a row?

    • becca

The school year lunch items are SET! thank you for all you do!

    • Samantha

I just called my local Kroger and they are saying there is no limit on the number of times you can do the Mega event in a transaction, woohoo!

    • sheri

anyone…i have printed (let me just say ALOT) of coupons off the internet but have noticed that most all of them say “do not double or triple.” Is this going to pose a problem for me at the checkout?

    • Samantha

Sheri, as long at the bar code starts with a 5, it will automatically double regardless of what it says on the coupon.

    • Victoria

A couple weeks ago, I got a Kroger catalina printout that said, “Buy Nature Valley granola bars during select purchase dates (between 8/14 & 9/6) and save up to $3.50 on future purchase with coupon. Buy 3, get $1.50, buy 4 get $2.50, buy 5 or more & get $3.50 coupon off your next order. All items must be purchased in one shopping order.” It makes a good deal even better! ;)

    • Lyndsey

If you live in the Nashville area, the Kroger in Belle Meade is running triple coupons through Tuesday. Could make some of these deals really good.

    • Robin

Just wanted to let you know I found the Macaroni Grill box dinners in the pasta section down by the Homestyle Bakes etc., not in the frozen section. These may be a different type though. Thanks for the notice, time to stock up on fruit snacks for school lunches. Hooray!

    • Samantha

Just got back from my first run to Kroger and here is what I see:

Chex Mix – this is not part of the Mega sale, no tags indicating it was (bummer!!)

What is part of the sale that I didn’t see above (price listed is before coupons or Mega event discount)
      Yoplait Delights – 2.49
      Yo Plus – 2.49
Fiber One Muffin Mix – 3.39
Betty Crocker Muffin Mix – 2.89
      Chex Bars – 2.99

As a side note, the BC Brownies do include the Supreme Brownies (woohoo!)

Also, for anyone in the area of the Duluth, GA Kroger’s at PiB and Pleasant Hill, they have Suddenly Salad (2 flavors) on closeout for $1.43 and they count as part of the mega sale!

    • Jennifer

has anyone found the .55$ coupon on the starbucks coffee? if so where?
thanks a bunch. i love that stuff- umm

    • Jeanie

if it says….when you buy 10…does that mean you have to buy 10 to get that price?

    • Rachel

I just got caught out by the chex mix issue – but, didn’t catch it in time because very little was marked in my store. The manager denied this but even the biscuits and toaster strudles (on the front page of their ad) were not marked – so I ended up with 18 things and and only got one $5 off. VERY UNHAPPY!! Also, the cereals are very limited at least in my store. I don’t usually run out on Sunday, but I knew I wouldn’t other wise get there til Wednesday this week – I may have paid for my haste…………..

    • A lot of our prices are different, so I won’t bother posting them here, but I did a recon mission today to get pricing and see what all was included and there are a lot more GM cereals included than Trix. Regular Total, Cheerios are two I know that I have coupons for that are included. HTH!!

    • Jenn

I called my Kroger and they said the number of rewards per transaction isn’t listed but they recommended only doing three per transaction. They also said that on the Do Not Double coupons, they will double them because it is Kroger losing money by doubling, not the manufacturer.

    • Mandy

If I have a shortcuts ecoupon and a cellfire both for the same product will both come off if I buy 2 or double quantity on the coupon?

    • Samantha

Mandy from my experience, if you have a shortcuts and a cellfire coupon for the same item, both will come off the same item and they do not double.

    • I seen the tyson chicken on this a lot of times, DOES ANYONE IN THE DALLAS AREA SEEN TYSON CHICKEN AT ANY KROGERS? I’VE BEEN TO 2 DIFFERENT ONES AND THEY CARRY TYSON. LET ME KNOW. I would love to get some chicken with the coupons I have.

    • KC

In Huntsville the fruit snacks are 2.29 boo hoo!!

    • Jennifer

I went to Kroger (Mount Juliet, TN) and they did not limit the amount of deals per transaction. We did 4 of the deals in one transaction. The printable coupons that say DND did double. The only problem I had was with cellfire and shortcuts ecoupons. I bought the correct amount but only the shortcuts ecoupons came off and not the cellfire but I had other coupons so it was still a great trip for me.

    • Alyssa

Samantha #15 – Cannot remove shortcuts.com coupons unless you use them or they expire. There is a limit of 50. I made the mistake of adding the ones I would probably not use and then when some better items were added, I didn’t have any space on my card.

Mandy #32 – Shortcuts and Cellfire coupons are deducted one per item. If you buy only 1 item only one e-coupon will be deducted. If you have 2 e-coupons for the same item, you will need to purchase 2 of that item to receive both deductions.

      Hope this helps!

    • Kam

Just a warning to Kroger shoppers…I went in today to stock up on stuff. I had a lot of coupons and also did the 10 item deals. They let me do 4 of these in the same transaction. One of the managers was my cashier and she kept scrutinizing my coupons. She told me that she could tell that I hadn’t photocopied them, but accuse me of printing them from different computers. I absolutely did not print them from multiple computers. A few of them were about to expire and the new ones I had just printed from the new batch on the website. She said that Kroger corporate policy on internet coupons is that only 2 coupons are allowed for the same type of items. For example, I bought 4 boxes of Nature Valley bars and had 4 internet coupons. I kindly thanked her for letting me know about the policy because I don’t regularly shop at Kroger. I didn’t really appreciate her accusing me of printing from different computers. I still don’t think she believed me. Oh well! Publix is still my favorite!

    • Melissa C.

Kam, even if you did print them from different computers, that isn’t doing anything wrong. We have four computers and I print up to 4 sets of coupons sometimes.

Here’s the deal. The manufacturer wants to give, for instance, 10,000 internet coupons. They set the limit to 10,000, and after that many are printed, the coupons go away.

It doesn’t matter if you have 20 computers and print on all of them. As long as you aren’t photocopying, and all the coupons have different pin codes, then you are okay using the coupons at the store.

*Printing that many coupons and not giving others a chance to print any befoe they disappear is a different thing. I was just giving this example to show you that you wouldn’t have done anything wrong even if you had printed from more than one computer. There are a bunch of Kroger managers around here (N. Metro Atlanta) that have NO clue about coupon usage, so I feel your pain.

    • Wende

I just did 3 sets of $5.00 off 10 deals. I put them all on the belt in groups of 10 with an end of order bar in between and asked the cashier to hit the total button after each set of 10 AND I brought a bag of rice cakes as filler just in case I got a wrong item. It went REALLY well doing it where he totaled it every 10 items so I could be sure my $5.00 came off as well as my ecoupons in that area. Cashier loved that I was so prepared. I used many coupons and 17 ecoupons. 5 of these did not come off and I was told by management to call Kroger on the back of the plus card, but they are closed today, so I will be calling in the a.m. I also got $1.50 off my next purchase.

The Warm Delights were $1.49 after the sale & I had 0.50 mc & 0.50 ecoupons so they and the cookie mix were all free since I had multiple coupons of each. Trix was free too. No issue with doubling the “do not double” coupons.

Suddenly Salad is NOT part of the Mega sale, atleast in my store, nor the Honey Nut Cheerios.

In regards to Dallas, TX and the question about Tyson. I have been to 2 Krogers (Addison and Midway & Frankford) and the do not carry fresh Tyson chicken (only the box of frozen items like nuggets, etc.). I wish they did, and wonder why they don’t — as there’s a Tyson plant just up North of Sherman, I think (or is it in Sherman?). My two cents if anyone else has seen Tyson at a Dallas-area Kroger.

FYI, I was able to participate in their awesome mega coupon day — got $300 worth of stuff for $85. I saw someone there from church who I had helped a few weeks ago to get her started on couponing. She did almost as well as I did — I was so proud! Just goes to show, you just have to do it and you’ll see the results!

    • Angi

Can someone tell me how soon after using the e coupons you can reload them to your card? My card is still showing them on there but it came off at the store.

    • stacia

Yogos 4/$1 at my East TN Kroger!!! Sucks I bought some last week when they were on “sale”. (8 boxes) It makes me wonder why I try so hard to save money and clip coupons if things are just going to go this cheap after everyone has used up their coupons.
Oh well I’ll probably go buy more .25 is pretty cheap, and my kids love em.

    • Erin

I had the same issue at Kroger today where they would only let me use 2 of each internet printed coupon. The cashier was very nice about it and allowed me to use 3 to complete the 5 BC fruit snacks deal, but wouldn’t let me use the 4 I had printed for Trix. I am in Gwinnett County/NE Atlanta. I understand the policy (to cut down on fraud he said), but I wish it were advertised, especially when Kroger has these Buy 10 Get $5 sales and you HAVE to purchase a certain number of items!

    • Von

Was told at the Aiken Kroger today that all Kroger stores were going to stop taking internet coupons completely. The cashier allowed me to use them today but said she was told not to take them anymore after today.

    • Karen

There is no doubling in Spring Hill, TN, at the Port Royal store. I’m not sure about the big Super MarketPlace Kroger on Hwy31 in Spring Hill. Does anyone know anything about that store’s policy on coupons?

    • JEB

I printed some Old El Paso coupons from either smartsource or coupons.com last week, I think. It was .60 off 2 items.

    • JEB
    • GABBY,
THANKS I think I will try to call all krogers in the immediate area, It may be worth the drive since I have tons of coupons for Tyson fresh chicken products… I wonder if Wal-mart carries it and what the price might be, or even Tom Thumb.

    • Kim

this isn’t about Kroger – but did I miss the Rite-Aid post this week?

    • klonghall

Erin, what Kroger was that? I also live in Gwinnett and will be shopping tomorrow. I usually shop at the Rockbridge Rd. (Lilburn/Stone Mountain area) location. I live close enough to about 4 or 5 Krogers, so I want to make sure I avoid the ones that make couponing difficult.

    • Victoria

Is the fruit snack deal part of the mega sale or is that separate?

    • Sharon

I bought 20 items today and feel like I did pretty well by combining paper and e-coupons. I got Total cereal,3 Nature Valley nut clusters, and 3 hamburger helpers, and three Fiber One yogurt 4 pks for free. I had left some of my coupons in the truck, so I’m going to look through my coupons again and see what else I can get for free, Aren’t coupons great???!!!

    • Kim

So excited! I bought 20 items and paid $13.36! The e-coupons came off without any problem.

    • I bought 50 items today and got 5 $5.00 in the same transaction…so I saved $25 just off the top. I ended up getting almost $200 worth of groceries for $35 and $5 off my next orders for purchasing Nature Valley Granola bars and 5 boxes of fruit snacks. Great deals this week!

    • Mitch

I really hope my Kroger has more than just Trix cereal on sale as part of the mega event. I am so excited for this event because I still have 13 $1 off AMP energy drink coupons left, and I also have (5) Sobe Life Water Catalinas from Kroger for FREE Sobe’s! If our Kroger included some good stuff (good cereals, etc) this sale could shape up to be my best sale, savings-wise, yet!

    • I saved 96% at Kroger today with triple coupons and the mega event. Check out my site at http://www.keepingourcash.com

    • Colleen

My Kroger was out of alot by the time I made it there tonight but I still did great! I hope to go back for the cereal when it’s restocked- they had no Fruity Cheerios or Total left. I made money on several of the paper/ecoupon matchups/plus triples!
All these Kroger deals are exhausting me. I don’t usually go to Kroger this much but with triples and now the Mega sale plus triples…..
Thanks for the lists, Jenny. And you actually found a COUPON book at a Kroger in Nashville??. I can’t even find the current ad paper at my Kroger (Nippers Corner), let alone coupon booklets! Maybe I should check out the one you went to:)

    • Jennifer

I shopped at the Spring Hill Marketplace today and they doubled my coupons. I also used internet coupons and they took those, too.

    • Victoria

I tried the fruit snacks deal but did not get the $3.50 – how do you get that?

    • Hi All:) I am still new at this, so I have a question. I was trying to print the Trop50 coupon and it would not print (I have installed the printer) – it says invalid or missing parameter. I have tried different things with my computer and I still can’t print the coupon:(:( HELP!!!!!

    • Nicole B

I didn’t get the $3.50 for the fruit snacks either. Anyone know how to get it?

    • To get the $3.50 catalina for the fruit snacks, you have to buy 5 boxes.

    • Steve Estes

Just got back from Kroger, total of 4 deals and 29 triple coupons.
      Total before coupons and deals:178.00
      Total Spent 45.50
      Plus 7 dollars in Catalinas
for total of 38.50 Save 79%!!!!!!

    • Debra

I have a question, I’m new to this kroger deals with cellfire, p&g and the shortcuts. Do they still double 50 cent manufacturers coupons when you use there other coupons from cellfire, etc?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    • Debra

I posted a question earlier and just thought of another can I use 2 manufacturers coupons and still be able to use shortcuts for 2 items of the same thing?

    • alison

i didn’t get the $3.50 cat either and i bought the 5 boxes of fruit snacks. don’t know if my kroger wasn’t participating, we didn’t see any signs posted for the deal. i can’t complain too much though, bought 20 items for $9!

    • Anne Marie

I am new at this and trying to plan my trip before going to the store. I looked at my Kroger ad and the Betty Crocker fruit snacks are not included. Is this an unadvertised deal or is my store just not participating? TIA

    • Angi

      Anne Marie

My paper does not show the fruit snacks either, but my Kroger does have the fruit snacks on sale. Yesterday when I went, there were alot of things not in the flyer, there was also alot of items that were included but not marked. HTH

    • Angi

I need help with the e coupons. I shopped yesterday, the coupons came off at the register, but when I try to load them again cellfire and shorcuts is showing that I still have them on my card and they were not redeemed, how long does it take for them to come off my account?

      Please help!!!

    • sarah

Is anyone else having trouble with the Arm & Hammer coupons for laundry detergent. This is the only detergent we can use so I am seeking a solution to the coupon not showing up on the A&H site.

    • Kerie

I bought the Yogos yesterday 4/$1 and used the $1/2 mq and was delighted to get them for nothing. Then realised on my receipt that I also got the buy 4 save $4! So, I turned right around and went back in and bought 12 boxes of yogos, 2.5lbs of fresh salmon, a rotisserie chicken and a bag of M&Ms as a filler and used my $3.50 off that I’d just received from my first trip and my total out of pocket was $1.49 – not bad huh?

    • mom2boys

!!!Kroger SPRING HILL marketplace mentioned above— I shop there occasionally and they double coupons. (.50 and under coupons) Are you handing over your Kroger card first? If you do not— your coupons will not double.

I find that store is so massive it is difficult to navigate and I also have a hard time with the self scanners and coupons—catalina’s not printing out… so I rarely go. I stick to the Publix there in Spring Hill and find I save a ton of money with them…plus they take Target coupons and store competitor coupons (I take all my Kroger coupons over there)

    • JessC

I shopped yesterday as well, and my e coupons worked……can I use them again today? Or are they a one time use?

    • Alyssa

After all the hassle Kroger seems to put me through, I think I’d rather go to HT this morning!

    • elizabeth

If you want to send me your address I have 2 or 3 Arm & Hammer Qs I won’t use. tinnie23@yahoo.com

    • Karen, I also have no problem with the Spring Hill Kroger doubling less than a dollar – but they will no longer stack a competitor’s coupon with a manufacturer’s coupon. They are not real warm and fuzzy to couponers there, but they aren’t hostile either. You just never know how it’s going to go.

I actually did great on a Kroger trip with one of these deals thanks to e-coupons! I split my order so the ecoupons could be applied, found everything labeled and in stock for once, and all the e-coupons went through. The cashier actually knew what she was doing and it was easy breezy, like it should be! Saved over 70%!

Warm Delights are included at this store, plus some other BC items not in the ad, but not the Fiber 1 muffin mix.

I’ll be ticked if they stop taking online coupons and do like they did when they stopped stacking – they have a greeter at the door handing out flyers, there is no excuse for waiting until you checkout to tell you about a change in couponing policy. That was really poor customer service. It’s part of the reason I don’t like to do the work to prepare a shopping trip to Kroger.

These are good deals, but if these items go BOGO at Publix up the street I can use my leftover coupons and get the same price or better. I’ve had one good roll, I’m not pushing my luck!

    • Blakely

I shopped yesterday at Kroger and had no problems getting 5 BC fruit snacks (3 snacks and 2 roll ups) and 3.50 Catalina printed along with 15 other items to get $10 off. They did not have the “bug” or “dinosaur” shapes my son loves so he will have to make do with Care Bears and Scooby. My e coupons appear to have come off correctly as well. Fiber One muffin mix was marked at our store in NE Columbia at 2.89 before sale. I went right away because when I wait they never seem to have what I want.

    • Karen

I was wondering on e coupons the dont happen to double or tripple those do they? I know manufactured coupons can be double or trippled but i wasn’t sure about e coupons.

    • Erin B.

I love Southern Savers! Had my best day ever at Kroger today. Saved 72% and got several freebies. The store in Jasper was well stocked and not crowded. No problems with any qs – newspaper, IPs, or ecoupons. Couldn’t find the 2 lb tubs of Yoplait that were going to be free :(, but was able to get the Nature Valley yogurt granola bars that I love instead. A note on the circular – Nature’s Bounty vitamins are listed as BOGO. The Disney vitamins are included in the picture even though they do not say Nature’s Bounty on the label. They do, however, have the same company address. The cashier was very nice and rang in my two $1 off NB coupons! The vitamins were regularly $7 and I paid $2.50!

    • Angi

e coupons do not double or triple.

I shopped yesterday and my e coupons just came off the card, so I was able to reload them..HTH

    • Lindsay

I bought 5 boxes of Fruit snacks as well and didn’t get the $3.50 catalina q? Should I call corporate about this?

    • marcie

Today was the first time I was told that if a coupon says do not double, then krogers here in Cinci will not double it. I said I have been doing this for a long time and they always scan as a double. The cashier told me that they should be adjusting them so I do not get double. I was under the inpression that the face value of the coupon is paid to kroger by the manufacturer and that kroger then matched the value (under $.50 here) out of their pocket. Am I wrong? Please let me know. I was told that the store would not get reimbursed by the manufacturer if they double a coupon that says it should be doubled. I will switch stores if my local one is going to enforce this.

    • Jessica

Best trip for me ever. Purchased 20 of the participating items plus 4 jars of baby food and paid $1.13 (.63 of that was tax)!!! I am still beaming:)

    • Stacie

We need some TP, anyone know of any good deals on toilet paper this week?

    • Stacie

      Another quick question………

Does Kroger also double the ecoupons? Say you have a .50 cent paper coupon and a .50 cent ecoupon, do both of those double to make $2 off or does the paper coupon only double?

    • Dawn

The Pillsbury coupons that are printable have all expired and most expired before the sale started. I think you should remove those links since you don’t realize it until you have wasted your time printing them. I actually didn’t notice it until I was almost done cutting them out. I wasted time and ink.

    • Tina

Went to kroger today I saved 76.60 and spent 34.94!! Plus I got 2 3.50 off and a 5.00 off Nature Valley!!! I also found a hidden deal!!! The arm and hammer carpet fresh is on sale for 10 for 10 and there is a printable for .50!!! That makes it FREE!!! YAY!!!!

    • Samantha

I wish everyone would mention which city and state they shop in.

Prices, sales, and coupon policies vary by each area. I never know if a sale mentioned here applies to my area unless the commentor provides their store location.

      Just a thought.

I shop Kroger, Food Lion, CVS, and Walgreens in Martinsville, VA

    • courtney

Went to Cumming/Bethelview store…they running out of Pillsbury refrigerator products fast..not much left but made it work. They do have a limit to 3 rewards per transaction so I split mine up into 2 purchases. Saved $95 :-) Yippy!

    • Anne Marie

Thanks Angi! I went to Kroger in Canton, GA and the fruit snacks were part of the deal. Though I bought 10, I had a bunch of coupons and didn’t realize I should have done that in separate transactions to get 2 catalinas. Oh well, I still saved almost 50%. Not as good as many of you, but better than I was doing before.
The Wanchai Ferry kits were $7.49 I think and were not part of the deal in my store. Also, I could not get the Trop50 coupon to print either, I got the same error message. Anyone know what’s wrong?

    • Kristie

has anyone in columbia sc gotten the fruit snacks cat? i did 2 transactions today at the two notch store and got nothing.

    • Sharon

At the East Athens, GA, Kroger, there is a brochure that specifies what is included in the sale. I don’t understand why some of the stores are hassling customers about what is included and what isn’t. Seems like there isn’t much room for argument with a corporate-printed brochure. I found it in one of those flat metal displays that you slide a poster-size sign in. The sign was near the entrance/customer service. Our Kroger has never given me a hard time about coupons!

    • Donna

I can not say thank you enough! Just had my most successful trip to Kroger ever!!! I took pictures and sent it out to everyone. hehe! Jenny, you are the best!!! Thank you for your hard work, it is greatly appreciated! :)

    • Melissa

      I have 2 questions:

1)Will the e-coupons from P&G, Shortcuts, and Cellfire double at Kroger in Columbia, SC?

2)I see that the AMP Energy drinks are part of the Mega Sale again for $.99 and I was wondering if anyone knows it they are still giving out the Catalina for a $10.00 Kroger gift card if you buy 10?!?!

I am planning on going to Kroger tommorrow and would love to know how to plan my trip. Thanks!!

    • Dawn

I’m so sorry I looked at the date wrong. Please forgive my mistake. I love your site!

    • Debra

Question? Can you use cellfire and shortcuts together on 1 item along with your manufacturers coupon? Any help is appreciated, thank you.

    • Alecia

So I made my first trip to Kroger last night using coupons. I have finally convinced my boyfriend that cutting coupons is a good thing. Our bill before coupons was $234.59 and after coupons we only paid $61.50 on 89 items. So it was less than a dollar for every item!!!!!

    • Melanie in Woodstock

Towne Lake Kroger – Monday evening…
I just purchased 5 of the Betty Crocker fruit snacks and did not get the $3.50 coupon for the next purchase. There were no signs on the shelf that stated there was this additional sale, so I did not inquire further. I will call the store tomorrow and double-check to see if I can still get it or not.

      Just thought that I’d share.

    • Tabitha

I had a pretty good trip today! Around $100 worth for about $18!! I would say my best trip to Kroger yet! However, I was wondering…has anyone else had trouble with their Kroger taking internet coupons? I had five of them I was going to use (all of them were different by the way), and was told that I could only use 2 internet coupons per visit!! I went to a different store than usual and have NEVER had an issue with IP coupons before. They said they just started this policy about 4 or 5 weeks ago and that it’s corporate wide. Anyone else having this problem??

    • Jenny P

I know that Krogers will raincheck their advertised sale prices if they are out of stock, but does anyone know if they will honor the “mega” deal and take the $5 off if you buy 10 of the rainchecked items? I know it will be the end of the week before I make it to the store and I am sure they will be out of some of these great deals.

    • Sarah

Kristie ~ That cat for the BC fruit snacks did not work for me either in columbia sc at two notch store but they took it off my next order anyways cause we thought the mechian was not working . The Store manager also knew of the deal so talk to him .

    • Nicole B

I went to the Irmo Kroger and bought 5 boxes of the BC Fruit snacks and didn’t get the catalina. Maybe SC stores are not participating.

    • Tanya

      #90- courtney

Went to Cumming/Bethelview Kroger Mon night. Customer service first told me I had to do EACH 10 items in a separate transaction. Asked a cashier, who called the manager and was told there was NO LIMIT!! I bought all in one transaction and got 8 of the $5 off!! My total was $240 but I paid $91. (I have four boys!)

    • Stacie

Did pretty well at Kroger today! Total before coupons and Kroger card/e-coupons: $165.52, Total paid: $69.26, Saved: $96.26! That was my coupon and grocery shopping combined (had to get lunch stuff for the husband, some supper meat, salad stuff, etc)! I messed up my deal a little, I ended up only getting 34 items instead of 40 because they were out of a few things, so I missed out on my extra $5 off, but they took all of my coupons just fine, my e-coupons worked, I got my $3.50 coupon for the fruit snacks though and I found a hidden deal! My Kroger (Christiansburg, VA) had BIC Crystal ink pens on sale for .50, so I bought the last 8 packs and used the $1/2 coupons and got 8 more packs of ink pens for free! Like we really needed any more, but I went for it anyway! We have lots of good snacks now, cookies, gummies, cinnamon rolls, granola bars, rice cakes (the quaker totilla’s were also .49 cent), cashier clusters, etc, etc, etc. I’ll probably go back Friday when my husband gets paid for a few more deals!

    • Stacie

      Ummmm, Ok……..
I was just checking my e-coupons to see if I could reload the coupons that I used today, but they weren’t even taken off! What’s up with that? It’s been about 4 1/2 hours since I went shopping, so are they not going to come off? In a way, I guess it’s a good thing, but in a way, I’d kind of like for some of them (the ones that I know I’m not going to use any more) to come off so that I can load some others that I’d like to have. Any ideas as to whats going on with my card?

    • I went to your seminar in Nashville last Friday night and it was wonderful. Today I got $479.49 worth of groceries for $108.47, at the Kroger in Bellmeade, because they were tripling coupons.I wish you could have seen the look on the cashiers’s face after all 9 of my transactions. He said he had never seen anyone save that much in one trip, I’m hooked and excited. It took a lot of planning and time but it sure was fun. I will share a link to my blog just in case you would like to see the picture. Thanks for everything you have taught me. My husband thanks you too. He loves all the money we have saved and will be saving. Your Awesome!

    • Debra

How many printable coupons will Kroger accept, I’m still learning about the way Kroger works?

      Debbie West Cola, SC

    • ET

The majority of my e-coupons did not deduct from my bill, over $10 worth. Very frustrating! I didn’t have time to deal with it while at the store since I was in a rush to get my child from school so I called the customer service number from the back of the card when I got home. They told me to take my receipt back to the store (15 miles each way) and they would handle it. I called the store and they told me that customer service shouldn’t have told me to do that because they have no way of knowing what coupons are loaded on my card! Several items were priced higher at our Newnan store than what is listed on here, including the BC fruit shapes and the Wanchai frozen meal kits which were over $7. The DiGornio Crispy Flatbread Pizzas are not on sale, but I didn’t realize that until after I got home so I will be returning those. Our ad states “select varieties” on sale, but there was nothing on the freezer case door even indicating any were on sale.

On the brighter side, there was no limit to the number of deals per transaction and I had no trouble whatsoever with Internet coupons.

    • alison

ET: i had a problem with 2 of my ecoupons not coming off so i went to the website that i got them from ( cellfire and shortcuts) and went to the contact us tab. i filled out the info and i had a refund to my kroger card within an hour! so easy to do.

    • Kristie

Sarah-thanks for the response! I did 2 transactions at the Two Notch store and didn’t get my cats. I went to customer service and explained…they were very nice and just gave me 7.00 cash. That’s all fine and dandy, but I want the cat to be working cause I ordered lots of coupons and planned on stocking up!! Last time this deal came around I got 40-50 boxes and wanted to do the same this time, but I don’t want to hassle CS every single time.

If anyone else does this deal at a Columbia store, please post if you get your cat! Thanks!

    • were is the catalina deal advertised? Is it through Kroger or through the company?

    • ET

Alison, thank you so much for the advice! Cellfire’s website was pretty easy and fast, although I had to enter the UPC codes of the products which took some time to do. Shortcuts is a pain and horrible service! Their web site is very slooow. A warning to anyone who has lots of e-coupons that were not redeemed: You may be better off going back to the store. I had $7.50 in shortcuts coupons for which I received no credit. Shortcuts credited $5.05 back to my card and said only a partial credit was issued because I “have reached my limit in coupon dispute reimbursements.” This is the first time I have ever had to dispute any of the e-coupons. So I am basically out the remaining $2.45 unless the store will reimburse me. I will be taking my list tomorrow and see what they do. I think I will be sticking to Publix and Food Lion for a while….

    • Daisy25

I also shopped at the Aiken Kroger, and I’m beginning to think that their coupon policy varies by cashier. In the past, I have been given a hard time about using IPs–so when this mega-sale started on Sunday, I called the store and spoke to a manager about the coupon policy before I even made the drive. The manager assured me that the store would accept an unlimited amount of printables, as long as the coupons were not for “free” items.

I had no problem using any of my coupons on Sunday and got a great deal on many of the sale items…

Ask for a manager next time they hassle you!

    • Melissa

I just got done shopping at the Kroger in Irmo and I bought a tons of stuff including the fruit snacks and the nature valley bars. After I was done checking out 2 coupons for $3.50 came out. No problems at all. I was concerned because I asked 2 employees if they had heard about it printing and they had no idea what I was talking about. After it printed the cashier looked at me and said, “You were right.. here they are!!” So I had an awesome morning and saved $134.75!!!

I didn’t get any AMP Engergy drinks so I will have to go back later to get them. I am still curious though if anyone knows if they $10.00 Kroger gift card coupons is still printing out if you buy 10?!? If anyone knows please let me know I would really appreciate it.

    • Shelly

Melissa, I think I remember reading that the AMP deal was over at the end of August. I still have a few .40/1 q’s so I might try and see what happens. $.20 ea isn’t a bad price anyway.

FYI, for everyone who has e-coupon questions, both Cellfire and Shortcuts have FAQ or Help sections on their sites. It’s very easy to find answers if you do a little research!

    • Shelly

Oops! I meant the AMP deal was over at the end of JULY.

    • Jen

      Hey Kristie,
I just did the fruit snacks deal on the I-26 and St. Andrews store and it printed out the cat just fine. I was in the self check out lane and I always make sure the green light is on and no red lights on the cat machine!

    • Nick

Worked the deal again during lunch and came home with 20 different things for about 7 bucks. My wife thinks I’m crazy :o)

    • Trisha

Does anyone know when the e-coupons are supposed to come off your card? I used my card yesterday, and they all came off on my receipt, but are still showing on my card.

      Thanks so much!

    • Larissa

Got a $3.50 off next purchase for buying 4 boxes of the Nature Valley Granola bars. Bought 20 items today, but receipt showed only 1 $5 off my order. The only thing I figure is that the Betty Crocker SUPREME brownie mix isn’t included. Any thoughts?? Still a great shopping trip for me.

    • holly

It shouldn’t take more than 2 days for your e-coupons to come off (I hope). It doesn’t have any info in their help section, so if anyone else really knows- please tell!!

I shopped early Monday AM and my coupons are still showing up in my account. (It’s Tues afternoon.)

Hopefully they’ll be off tomorrow so I can shop again. I’ll get confused if I try planning another shopping trip with all the coupons still listed.

    • I shopped at a Kroger in Richmond, VA and was a little dissappointed because they were out of the perfect portion chicken I wanted to get, as well as the one pound tubes of beef. I’m hoping they’ll restock soon on those items, but I did get a lot of deals on what I bought. We drink soda so we stocked up on 2-liters of Pepsi at 50 cents each. We got country crock butter, totinos pizza rolls, two cans of pillsbury biscuits, pillsbury cookies, a jar of Ragu sauce, Yoplus yogurt pack and two packs of the green giant steamed veggies, betty crocker potatoes and a macaroni grill kit. The deals are so good this week I’m thinking about going back to get some hamburger helper, cereal and maybe some more dinner kits too! We need to stock up, our shelves are almost empty.

I am curious where you found the Amp coupons…Thanks for all your help!! :)

    • There is a $1/4 Propel Water in the Kroger My Magazine “The Good Life” edition.

    • sarah

Have to tell you about my deal today: my Kroger had marked all of the Peter Pan Crunchy down to $1.00 from reg. $2.99. I was lucky enough to have with my the ConAgra mailer which had a $1.00 Q in it and another mailer that had a “buy PP and get free Crayola.” Also had 3 .50/3 from a recent Sunday flyer. I got 7 peanut butters (4 to donate, 1 for me, 2 for my college age children) and a pack of crayons. Total original cost: $21 for the peanut butter and 2.25 for the crayons. My OOP was $3 plus tax or a savings of 87%. (And, the deals on the MEG event as well as the Kellogg’s B4G$4 were GREAT!). thanks again for teaching us how to be smart shoppers

    • Michelle

i was so upset…the only general mills cereals on the mega sale (or any sale at all really) were trix and cheerios, which we don’t eat. i really wanted to get the lucky charms, but it was regular price. i don’t understand that! so, i left without buying any cereal. items i did get from the mega event included green giant canned veggies, hamburger helper, old el paso products, totino’s pizza rolls, and the quaker chewy bars.

    • DALLAS AREA. This is a last minute thing I noticed, Tom Thumb (a different grocery store out here) has their fruit snacks 4 for $4.00 but if you used the .40cents off 1 coupon for each one, you will end up paying 80 cents for 4 boxes!. Which makes it a sweet deal, BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE ( I had to say this, i think being watching too much infomercials!), a catalina for $2.50 will print when you buy four….. so technically you make $1.70! not bad at all!. The only problem it ends tonight!, So unless you are making a late run right now, maybe next time.

    • Does anyone want tyson coupons for fresh chicken? i cannot find one in dallas. let me know, if you do email me at resend2@hotmail.com and I can mail them to you.

    • When shopping at Kroger in Irmo, SC today I was able to use my paper & printable coupons, yet they only took off 2 of my shortcuts e coupons. I inquired at customer service and they told me that it was company policy to only take one coupon on a product and that e-coupons and manufactures coupons are counted as the same thing. I called corporate & the store manager & they said the same thing. Anyone else heard this from Kroger?

    • Mandy

      Thanks Samantha & Alyssa!

    • tonya

I just went this morning to Kroger in Cumming, Ga and they took all my ecoupons and man. coupons.(they were for the same thing) and got 3/$5 off deals. Bought 30 items for less than $12. Hopefully this won’t change. Doing both saves a ton of $$$$

    • Lynn

Can someone tell me if this same sell will be going on next week too? If so, I can pace myself this week and next week with my shopping.

Also, does anyone know about how much the Aunt Jemima Pancake mix is selling for in the Atlanta area? Thanks!

      • Jenny

The Mega event will be running again next week with all the same products. So no need to rush :)

    • Erin

I *JUST* got my Kroger card tonight. I went to add the Cellfire coupons and Cellfire texted me that my Kroger card number “was not found.”

Is that because I just got it tonight? Or is something else going on????

    • Lynn

Thanks Jenny! Now I can break up my shoppping trips over two weeks.

    • Karen

Thanks so much for the coupon doubling info about the Kroger Market Place in Spring Hill, TN. I found out that the Kroger in Columbia doubles up to 50 cents, too. Appreciate the feedback.

      Cindi POST # 107

I just went to the website Cindi Barnes posted in # 107 on her great deals. CAUTION I wanted to look at her savings. When I closed the window, it reopened automtically 30-40 times and there was nothing I could do to stop it, it was immediate as soon as I hit the X to close it. My husband was here & he said it was very possible it was a virus downloading she does not know she has. My hard disk is running like crazy..

Cindi if you read this, please run a scan if possible. I am scanning my computer right now. I never open attachments, but I have now learned to be VERY careful what websites I go to.

    • Marianne

      Total before coupons: $215.43
      Total after coupons: $43.14

I was so glad my husband was with me…we had two very full shopping carts! This included 44 bottles of Sobe Life Water, 10 boxes of Nature Valley bars, 10 BC fruit snacks, plus eggs, milk, and a TON of other groceries. Thanks so much, Jenny!!

    • Steve

If you use a cellfire coupon for say the Betty Crocker fruit snacks, can you reload the same coupon and use it again?

    • Laura

Tonight I went to the Kroger at Towne Lake in Woodstock. I used nearly 30 internet printed coupons and there didn’t have any problems at all. But I’ve emailed Kroger and asked for a copy of their coupon policy. It’s good to have things like that in print in case you have a picky cashier. ^_^

    • Donnelle

      CRYSTAL (#124)

I have some Nestle Good Start formula checks that I can’t use ($11 and $1). If you would like them, email me at lamb.donnelle@securitybank.net and I’ll be happy to mail them to you!

    • Okay- This is not the first time Kroger has been out of MUCH of what I came for, but it sure might be the last!!!

(Spending time cutting all kinds of coupons right before I went- the coupons for the exact items I needed) – I (use to?) shop at the Forest Drive store in COlumbia, SC…..it was very early- 6AM! – Weds AM (it got cleaned out in 72 hrs? This keeps happening!).

Anytime I have asked to speak to a manager on duty, the person has not been willing to help. Additionally, no “I’m sorry” or “I wish I could help, but…” just a no and usually no smile or effort made at all. I have gotten rainchecks on ad deals in the past only to have them expire before I could get back!!!

IS KROGER WORTH ALL OF THIS TROUBLE? I am so frustrated, I do not want to set foot in the store again. Is there a better Kroger in Columbia, SC I could try? It would be a drive but….then again there is a Publix practically in my back yard (the Rosewood drive store) and they are always nice to me, and rarely out of stuff!!!

….I am beginning to wonder if the Kroger I have gone to just puts a little out, knowing they’ll run out, slow to re-stock….then folks like me end up spending more than they planned to. I do not get a lot of opportunities to go the the grocery store with no children in tow, so, when i DO go, it needs to be worth it!!!

I am soooooooo frustrated this AM! Has anyone else had (MULTIPLE) experiences at Kroger like this?!?!? Please advise. I have the thing Jenny wrote a while back about Calling Corporate and the only reason I’d do that is to give them the opportunity to make it right, hoping they will make up for it somehow.

Thanks for letting me vent!! I’m done:)

    • Jean

Okay- I’m confused! Port Royal Kroger in Spring Hill… Do they not double coupons (paper coupons) anymore? I live a few miles away and shop there occasionally but my paper coupons did not double on Monday. I did not notice that until later that day. I only used four coupons, but I would have been really mad if I had a whole cart full of food with a handful of coupons. Anyway- I know that MarketPlace does double and I love that store, but PR? Dissappointed!

    • Hello. I went to Krogers last night and ended up saved 59% and spending $42.61. The young girl was huffing and puffing as she rang up the groceries, that I kinda of giggled. At the end the machine gave me $2.50 coupon on my next purchase, as a thank you from GM. She said ” I know you want this” and smirked. I giggled again and asked her when she worked next? You have to love it!

    • I went to the Kroger on Hwy 5 in Douglasville Georgia and had a great experience!!!!!! All of my e-Qs came off, they took all of my printable Qs, and I got the $3.50 cat Qs. Joy was the name of the cashier that I went to. Her name totally suits her. She is a doll!!!! I always go to her line even if it is the longest and yesterday there were 6 people ahead of me and registers with no people! She rocks!!! My totals are…..
      Before sales & Qs–$444.07
After—— $174.58 That is $269.49 SAVED
I did get several houshold items that weren’t on sale because I needed them, so it would have been better if not for that.

It took a lot of planning but was so worth it.

I hope you all have a blessed day.

    • Is there anyone that has gone to a Kroger in Columbia SC that the E coupons and manufacture coupons both were excepted? I am planning a trip today and I want to make sure that both are taken so I can estimate my cost.

    • Jenna H

I am new to couponing and read this site, mostly, and am so proud of my Kroger trip today! The total before coupons was 145.00 and the total after coupons was 51.00!!! Thanks!!!

    • Sarah

Does anyone have any idea why I cannot print coupons from ff? Everytime I it says I need to download the coupon printer, which I do. But then it keeps looping though, asking me to do it over and over again. Ugh!

    • mandy

I haven’t ever shopped Kroger before but got a Kroger card and plan to make a trip to try this Mega Event. I was wondering how you are able to know if all your ecoupons are used? Is it just something you have to study your receipt later to see that they didn’t all come off like you planned or can you catch it during the checkout? I’m not a very confident couponer and not very good at questioning cashiers about my order unless I know for sure I’m in the right. Any suggestions?

    • Beth W

      Mandi (#150),

I just went to the Kroger at I-26 and st Andrews road and they are fully stocked on all items. Both the ecoupons and the MF coupons came off my order and got the 3.5 back for the fruit snacks deal.

    • Lynn

Mandy, generally you will see the ecoupon listed right underneath the item you purchase. Basically, I study the receipt after my purchases. Today I had most of them come off, only one did not.

    • Deanna

If I misplaced my kroger card will my e-coupons still work if I input my phone # at the check out?

    • I just saved 87% at Kroger on 24 items w/ several freebies! I heart Kroger this week!

    • Post #146 Jean–I shopped at Port Royal Kroger on Sunday and they did not double my paper coupons less than 50 cents either. I am a newbie and was really excited about big savings. I ended up only saving $16 in coupons. Spent over $200, I was pretty deflated. I need to try the Marketplace one. I usually go to another Kroger, but it is about the same driving distance so I went to PR. I probably won’t go there next time. Please post if you find out if they have changed their policy and no longer double anything.

    • Bonnie in ATL

Picked up a bunch of Yogos for Halloween. Be sure to check expiration dates if you do the same. Three of my boxes expired 8/9, but that won’t slow my kids down!

Loaded 7 cellfire coupons on my card last night, and one came off. Oh well. :(

    • Maureen

      Hwy 501,Myrtle Beach,SC

      Thanks Jenny

Did quite well at Kroger, everything was in stock. Saved $57 and spent $35. The manager told me that in the future they would not except more than one printed coupon per item per day and that as of now only 2 printed coupons for the same items could be accepted. However, I got to use more.

Got the $3.50 BC catalina, I bought 1 BC fruit snack and 4 BC fruit shapes.

Would love to see a written corporate coupon policy as I feel it’s not understood by staff nor the public.

    • I emailed shortcuts less than an hour ago about a coupon the did not redeem and the have already applied to $1 to my card to use on my next purchase! Wow that was fast!

    • gretchen

In the past I’ve been able to use the e-coupons along with paper coupons, but this week I could not! The system would not allow it, or so said the cashier.

Has this happened to anyone else? I still did pretty well with savings, but man! The paper coupons were more valuable than those cheesy e-coupons which do not double.

    • Amy

Thank you so much for this website. We have been trying to save everywhere that I could and this is helping out greatly!!!!!!!Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I am telling everyone about this site!!!!!!!

    • Kim

I made my second trip to Kroger (Rockbridge Road in Lilburn/Stone Mountain GA) for this even. I bought 20 items, including the 5 fruit snacks, and found out, after I paid, that the coupon printer wasn’t working at that register. I took my receipt to the manager. She gave me the $3.50 off my next purchase on a raincheck card. She signed it, and explained that the coupon printer was broken. She was so nice. I would have never known about that deal except for this site! Thanks Jenny! My totals, so far, for this week: 45 items purchases (includes 5 non-mega-event items): $33.10 spent; $72.43 saved!

    • Cheryl

Had a great trip at Kroger today in Irmo, SC. Saved 103.70, spent 67.08.
I did one transaction, did 6 mega deals (received 30.00 off). I used printed internet coupons, coupons from the paper, cellfire and shortcuts e coupons all deducted with no problems.
The only items they did not have in stock that I was interested in was the brownie mix and the Macaroni Grill meal kits. I just made up the difference buying a couple extra sobe waters and rice cakes at .49 each.

I also received two catalinas for 3.50 each off my next trip.

Thanks Jenny for all the work you put into this site.

    • anne

No BC Fruit shapes at King Soopers stores here in Denver, CO. What?!?! Soooo annoying since I finally found some online and printed out a whole bunch + I have shortcuts and cellfire….Bummer!!
      LOVE your post!!

    • Crystal

      Deanna Post #156

I use just my number all the time and they work fine.

    • Amanda

Did anyone in the Richmond, VA area get the Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks/Rollups CAT to print? I bought 5 boxes and 4 of the Nature Valley Granola bars. Neither CAT printed at the Mechanicsville store. I never have a problem getting money back from customer service when something doesn’t work right at Kroger, however I don’t have an advertisement of the CAT deal to prove it should have worked. I guess I will call the CAT customer service. Only thing is last time I called them about the Country Time Lemonade deal they never called back. I usually have at least one CAT print for either Qs or advertisments for most purchases. Maybe the machine was not working. Bummer. :(

    • Deanna

Thanks crystal!! I went ahead and tried it with just my phone number and the e-coupons worked except for the Smithfield.

    • Misty

New to this! Bought the 5 BC Fruit Snacks tonight and nothing printed with my receipt for $3.50 off of next purchase. I didn’t see an ad either. Where can I find more info on this?

    • Great trip tonight. Saved $64.76, spent $27.38 (70%)! I got everything I wanted although the pickings on certain things were SUPER slim; seemed like I got the LAST packages of a couple things. There WERE 2-3 flavors of Hamburger Helper that were on closeout for $.40 with the sale according to tags; GONE.

I did have an issue at checkout where I’d bought 30 items, but only 2 of the $5 discounts came up. I asked the checker and he went back over my list, counted out the 30 and said it should’ve worked; the lady before me had 30 and got 3 discounts (he thought 3 was the limit). Anyway, mgmt just handed me $5 cash, no question.

Btw, has ANYone been able to find those Wanchai Ferry frozen dinner kits? I looked for them at Ingles a couple wks back and today… NEVER seen them.

    • Beth W

Are the Yogo’s included in the mega sale? THe kroger i normally go to (st andrews Rd & i-26) didn’t have any yellow tags for the yogo’s- they were marked full price. Maybe they just didn’t put a tag up for them? or are they not included?

anyone have any luck with these in columbia?

    • So glad to find out the mega event sale will be going on next week too! Thanks for that info Jenny! I was panicking thinking I had to go back to the store this week to grab some more deals on food and make two trips, now I can wait until next week!!!! Yay!

    • Deb

Does anyone know if Kroger will be doing TRIPLE coupons in their Columbia, SC stores anytime soon?

    • mandy

Is anyone else having trouble loading coupons with cellfire. I’m not able to see the cookie mix, brownie mix, or nature valley bars as options in my area or any other area I have tried. When I click on the link provided I can check those, but when I click “select these” it goes to my account but they are not there. I’ve never used ecoupons before…any ideas?

    • Jen

Spent 15.70, saved $28.53, 65% savings. Thanks Jenny!

    • Kelsey

I also had a problem with the shortcut coupons. I loaded a bunch and planned my trip around them. Then they did not redeem. The total bill was about $10 more than I thought it would be as a result. I disputed it when I got home, but only received $5.05 back because I received my limit of disputed coupons. I have been sticking mainly to Publix lately and was very excited about saving the money at Kroger. It was still a good savings, but not what I hoped it would be.

    • Angie

We went to a middle TN Kroger and the cashier was extremely rude and put out by me using coupons. She insisted that I was only able to use one coupon per item purchased. I told her that they were different coupons…i.e. one printed and one from smartsource flier in the paper. She still flat out refused to let me use them. Needless to say, we will not be going back to that store simply out of her attitude. I had no problems using my coupons at Publix. Has anyone else been told this at Kroger? Is this a new policy?

    • Lisa Hawley

Went to Kroger today and the trip was a success!!! Bought 26 items for under 17 bucks!!! I didn’t realize so many different items were apart of the Mega Sale, so I am planning another trip tomorrow! Yippee!

    • Karen

There’s 2 Kroger stores in Spring Hill, TN. They seem polite in taking coupons, but one (Port Royal) doesn’t double coupons, the other (Market Place) doubles only up to 35 cents only on event sales. At least that’s what the lady said from the service desk. I like the Port Royal store better than the Market Place. It’s easier to shop and not so spread out.

I’m wondering if there is anyone in the Spring Hill area that knows where there’s a coupon swap place. The library here used to do that, but they quit.

      Karen P.

    • Alison

I went to Brentwood, TN Kroger today. I did get many good deals with the Mega Sale, and I found a new Catalina. My kids were begging for the new Lunchables that have sub sandwiches in them. I bought two of them (2/$4). At checkout, TWO $1 off next purchase catalinas printed, along with my $3.50 catalina for fruit snacks. I also noticed that the Fruit Shapes coupon worked for the Scooby Doo fruit snacks. My Kroger was out of the dinosaur and bug shapes, but the coupon worked on the Scooby Doo snacks.

    • Janet

Beware of the ecoupons!!!! Today, none of my ecoupons came off and so I took it up with the customer service desk. She said she couldn’t help me but gave me a number to call. When I called and talked to the loyalty department they said they were having problems with the ecoupons at the time. I demanded that something be done about it and she said she couldn’t help me but that I should ask for the store manager. So I got back in line only to find out that there was no store manager there. I asked for the corporate number but they had just closed for the day. Meanwhile, the customer service clerk called a guy who was filling in for the manger back at the loading dock and he confirmed to her that there was nothing they could do. I am definitely calling corporate first thing tomorrow. How frustrating!!!!!!

    • Jen

Angie, were you trying to use two coupons (a printed one and one cut out from an insert) on the same item? If so, that is not allowed. You can use an e-coupon and a paper coupon together though.

    • I realized I still had the same e-coups on my Shortcuts acct (yesterday’s trip mostly pulled Cellfire coups) so I went back today. Spent $17.94, saved $42.16; Bought 20 participating items and a few clearanced meats.

One funny thing is on the NV Nut Clusters… Yesterday AND today I bought 2, used (2) $1 off IP coupons, but on the e-coups it took off $1 for the clusters, and then $.40 for the BARS (I had multiple e-coups for the clusters). It even SAYS “NV Bars” on the receipt…. *scratching head*

Oh, I saw another lady in the frozen food aisle with a BINDER like mine!! I meant to stop and say something but didn’t (she looked busy with her small child).

    • Jen

The same thing happened to me. I bought the NV Nut Clusters and it took of the e-coupon for the bars. Weird.

    • anne

me too Jen and Julie -my cellfire e-cpn took of $.40 for the NV bars instead of $1 for the clusters that I bought…..was expecting my clusters to be free (with my $1cpn) but I guess $.60 is ok as I got my 10 items for $2.10….yay!

    • martha

For some reason I can’t see the .75 off for the Total cereal, do I have to type certain zip code?

    • Karen

Is there a way to tell what coupons were scannned for what products? My Kroger receipt just showes MC or SC SCANNED COUPON at the bottom when I gave the coupons to the clerk at the end of the purchase. I got a great deal (probably not as good as you pros, but better than I’ve ever experienced); I reduced $134.76 down to $63.67. The thing is, I can’t tell what coupons went for what purchase. When I got home yesterday, I wanted to show my husband how much I got particular items down to, but I couldn’t tell him.

I collected a ton of coupons that I don’t need. Does anyone know of a coupon swap in the Spring Hill, TN area?

      Karen P

    • Tiffani (Myrtle Beach)

Oh big bummer. We went to Kroger last night and NONE of my ecoupons went through. I called Kroger today and the very nice front end manager is checking to see what they can do. There were three of us with different accounts buying food for our churches internship and we totally messed up and lost $30.00 from it not working.

Someone please tell me AGAIN the procedure to working the ecoupons!! I know there was a certain order, but apparently I have it wrong. Thanks.

Ugh. Our plan was to go out to the car where my laptop was already on the cellfire and shortcuts pages and reload and then go back in and do it again. We live an hour from the ONLY Kroger around so we really wanted to get it done in one trip. I am sad, sad, sad. :(

    • Tiffani (Myrtle Beach)

WOO HOO! Great News!! The lady from Kroger just called back (did I mention she was nice?). She said their system was down and for me to bring in my receipt and a printout of the coupons that were on there and she would give me a refund or gift card!! Thank You God for taking care of it! That is worth another trip (we’ll be out there anyway) and another shopping spree!!

    • Tiffani (Myrtle Beach)

Me again!! So is this the right way to get the ecoupons to work…

Scan groceries, THEN give cashier my Kroger card, then the paper coupons?

That’s the way I did it, but now don’t know if it was me or the system!

    • Heidi(Atlanta)

Does Kroger take more than one printable Q? I have 2 printable Q for the Sobe Waters…makes them free, will they accept both?

    • tammy b. sc

    • Tiffani (#189-191) – I’ve always been told that the best thing to do is to scan your card FIRST (or as soon as possible in checkout), which is what I do. Usually, you won’t see the e-coupons pop up on the screen until the very end, but on the receipt they will list directly under the items they were applied to. I generally hand over my paper coupons at the end just b/c the cashier needs to make sure they’re for items I actually bought, but the order really doesn’t matter.

Also, once you use an e-coupon up, you cannot go back and “reload” it again unless it’s the beginning of the month and there is a new batch of e-coups waiting with different expiration dates. You’ll sometimes accumulate 2-3 of the same e-coupon over time on the same account (or over different programs), but they’re like paper coupons: once used, that specific coupon is gone.

    • Tiffani

OH Great! Thanks Julie. I appreciate the know-how!

    • deb

Went to Kroger in greenville nc last night, got 180.00 in items for 62.00 and recieved 13.50 in catalina coupons back!!!! going again on Saturday. All of my don’t double coupons were doubled, my cell fire and shortcuts came off easily with no problemo!! here is what i got for 62.00
      15 diet mt dews
      2 kroger orange juice
      kroger gallon milk
      18 eggs
      6 fruit rolls up
      nature valley granola bars
      fiber one granola bars
      2 trix
      2 cheerios
      3 quaker guacomole snacks
      1 bc warm delights
      1 bc cookie mix
      2 whole chickens
      3 bags of salad-reduced
      1 whole wheat bread
      10 lunchables
      4 gogurts
2 bags of bare naked cereal
      2 wheat spagetti noodles

probably more but i can’t not remember….we had two shopping carts full!!!Gotta love Kroger yeahhhhhhhhhhh

    • Angie

That is what I was trying to do. Thanks for letting me know. I had no idea that you couldn’t do it, especially since I have done it before! In fact, we went to a different Kroger today and they used both coupons that the cashier at the other store would not take. I just don’t get it! :) So I guess my new question is, how do you maximize your savings by only being able to use one coupon per item? E-coupons are ok, but don’t provide nearly the value as printed and paper coupons.

If Kroger’s policy is that you can’t use a printed coupon along with a coupon from a flier (i.e. Red Plum, Smart Source) how do you maximize your savings by only being able to use one coupon per item? E-coupons are ok, but don’t provide nearly the value as printed and paper coupons. Thanks for all the great tips everyone!

    • Angie,
For this $5 off 10 items, you actually are using 3 coupons for some items (1 paper, 50cents off for the sale $5/10, and 1 ecoupon). That is how you save so much money. For Krogers the only way to get stuff for free, it has to be approx $2.50 or less. The $1 items are the easiest to get free (50 cents or better coupon will double to $1 almost everytime).
However, check out CVS and RiteAid for ways to stack more than one coupon per item (CVS / Store coupon + Manufacture Coupon + $5 off $25 CVS coupon).
Sorry you had a frustrating trip, but it gets easier over time and you will get better at it. It just takes a little time and practice.

My Kroger way up here in Indiana only gave me one $5 Mega Sale credit. I bought 20 items! Oh well, I had lots of coupons and was very happy with my trip! I wonder if it was due to the 10 SoBe drinks I bought. I had a $2 coupon off 5 drinks, and then two coupons for buy one get one free. Maybe that negated the Mega Bucks deal.

Sorry if this has already been posted (I don’t have time to read thru 200 posts! LOL). I shopped Kroger in Irmo today and the Wanchai Ferry Frozen meals were marked 7.49 on the shelf and 5.49 on the freezer door. After joking with the stocker there, he simply took off the sticker and gave it to me to take up front. Of course, they rang up with the higher price. So, I went to Customer Svc desk. She gave me the difference and a $5 gift card becuase of the scanning error. Good deal!

Just a note to newbies – it never hurts to go to Customer Service and ask. You just never know…

Ok, note the time stamp here and my last post! I had 3 coupons from Shortcuts that did not come off my receipt and sent a message to them disputing the issue. I posted that remark here and went to check my email. I have already received the money for the coupons on my card. This has happened before (though I don’t remember it happening this quickly on a Saturday!)and the money comes off my bill the next time I shop with my card. So very cool!

I am new to this and i have a question… on the e-coupon if i buy 2 of the same item will it take it off twice or only once?

I had a great trip to Kroger and CVS a few minutes ago. At Kroger I bought:

3 boxes of Hamburger Helper (one of them was only 97 cents)
      1 Macaroni Grill meal
2 boxes of BC fruit snacks
3 boxes of BC fruit shapes
1 box of Natures Valley Granola Bars

total before coupons and sales: $27.29

      Coupons on my card:
      – $.75 off 3 Hamburger Helpers
      – $.40 off BC fruit shapes
      – $.50 off 2 BC Fruit Snacks, by the Foot, Gushers, Roll-Ups or Stickerz
      – $1 off Macaroni Grill

      Paper coupons used:
      – (3) $.40 off BC fruit shapes (which doubled)
      – (1) $.50 off 2 BC Fruit Snacks, by the Foot, Gushers, Roll-Ups or Stickerz (which doubled)
      – (1) $1 off Macaroni Grill
      – (1) $.75 off 3 Hamburger Helper
      – (1) Free Natures Valley Granola Bar (mailed from Kroger) – $2.49, 50 cent money maker!

Total out of pocket: $4.26 and I got the $3.50 off next purchase from buying the BC fruit snacks

      So it’s like I only spent $.76!!

I know that this isn’t really the right place for this but the CVS trip was pretty good too:

      6 J&J First Aid Kits ($.99 each)
2 bottles of CVS dandruff shampoo for my fiance ($7.29 each)

      total before coupons: $20.52
      – $4/$20
-(6) $1 off J&J product (the last one was adjusted down to $.94).
      – $10 ECBs
      total $.82
and I got $6 ECBs back!

Mickie – unfortunately, it’ll only take off once

    • kelli

tammy b. sc (#193) – I’ve used 12 of the same (printed) coupon at once. I used 3 of the same coupon just a few minutes ago. If it’s a policy, neither of the stores in my town follow it.

Is there a Catalina deal for rice crispies?

    • Leah

I am so curious why there are never any catalina coupons in the Jackson Tennessee area. I have emailed corporate but haven’t heard a word. Manager said I was misinformed and wasn’t willing to check on anything.

I have a number of manufactrer coupons for Amp $1 off 2. I got them from a tearpad at Walgreens and they have Walgreens printed on the bottom but they are Manuf coupons. Will I be able to use these at Krogers? It would make my Amp free.

    • Thank you so much for posting this list. If you had not posted this I would not have just saved over $80 (I only spent $40! Saving 66%!) I am so appreciative!
