restaurant.com coupon code

Get 80% off at Restaurant.com using the code: DEAL at checkout.  Restaurant.com sells gift certificates that you can use at eateries all over the country.  This code is good through Monday 6/13.

While these certificates really are for money off a larger purchase (so you do still have to spend money in the restaurant), they are still a great way to make eating out inexpensive.

You’ll get:

– $25 dining or gift certificates for $5

– $10 dining or gift certificates for $2

Go through Ebates and get 15% cash back.

The promo code worked great and I was only charged $2 for the gift certificate :)

Also called the restaurant that we plan to visit and all is good to go.

Between this the Fandango deal the other day, date night is now taken care of.

    • SCcoupongal

This also works for gift cards.  This is a great way to take care of teachers and others whom I buy gift cards for.  Can't beat a deal like this and it will save us a ton of money on small Christmas gifts.  There is no X date on the gift cards.

      • 386lindsey

i just printed a couple of these certificates and it has a minimum purchase amount.  how does that work for the gift cards?  does the person you give it to have to spend a certain amount to be able to use it also?

        • Cluckie

Does it say what the minimum purchase amount is?

          • Casterline05

Under the green “Add to cart”, it lists each restaurants minimum purchase and gratuity percentage.

        • 2sweetgrits

If the certificate is for $25 towards a $50.00 total…then yes, your bill needs to be at least 50.00. You will pay 25 towards the bill and use the certificate for the rest of the bill/total. Does that make sense?

      • Joyce

Do you know if we are able to stack the gift cards with the 80% sale when it comes around? Like buy the gift card now for $5, then wait until there is another code and use both to buy the certificate to the restaurant?

        • Gwilly99

No, when you buy a certificate with a card you pay the face value of the certificate. FOr example I bought a $50 gift card thinking I could buy lots of other certificates, but I was only able to get two $25 gift certificates. When you redeem a gift card you go through a different part of the website.

          • Joyce

Thank you.  I had a feeling that's how it worked:)

    • Dreneman1976

So I get a 25.00 gift card to eat for 5.00???

      • Crazy4my4

normally, you get a $25 gift certificate for $10, but with the coupon code DEAL at checkout, you will get the $25 gift certificate for $2 !!

    • Thank you for the reminder about going through ebates.  I just started using them a few months ago and sometimes forget to visit their site first. Love eating out without going over our food budget.

    • Salovescb

If you buy using ebates.com you get an additional like 12% back on the purchase!

    • JT

when you check out, you will be offered a $50 cert for $5 – which, with the DEAL, it really only comes to $1.  This is a great item to send to friends or family all over the country!

    • durham couponer

Thanks Jenny – this is awesome!!!  I just got $50.00 worth of restaurant gift certificates plus a $50.00 gift certificate for another purchase at restaurant.com for a total of $10!

    • Ljisaok

Bought a $25 gift certificate a month ago for Shogun in Huntsville, AL.  Went to use it today (since they never expire) and they have a sign taped to the front door saying “We do not accept Restaurant.com gift certificates”…real bummer.

      • Gwilly99

Call rest.com customer service. They may be able to refund you.

    • 2sweetgrits

I got a Fathers Day gift and my mother's retirement gift taken care of and a couple places for the hubs and kids to go too! $150.00 worth for $13.00! Southern Savers, you rock!

    • Aluckychance74

anyone familiar with the way these certificates work? If so can you give me an example based on the certificates i bought?

      I purchased $10 certificates ( min order is $20 , gratuity is 18% ) I paid $1 for the $10 certificate.

Here is what i am wondering. If i buy $20 in food and drinks what will i have to pay out of pocket ( taxes are 8% here in Tn ) Will i still need to leave a tip?

      • Mugal19

I use these all the time.  If your bill is $20, you will use your certificate to take off $10, so you will still owe $10.  And you still need to leave a tip on the full amount before the certificate.  hth

    • MrsWillis2010

Are these certificates going to be sent to me in the mail? I bought a couple during the Memorial Day sale, and I haven't received anything yet.

      • Gwilly99

You have to print them out.

    • Leisumar

thanks for this tip.  They had a sale on $25 certificates to Ocean's in Gulf Shores.  We are going there in July.  The cost was only $10 so with 80% off I paid just $2 for a $25 certificate.

Also, when I used them a couple of years ago for our DC trip, one of my certificates was unused.  Their site said that restaurant doesn't participate any more and I redeemed it for a $25 restaurant.com certificate.  So, I got a $10 certificate to another reataurant in Gulf Shores for FREE (I had only paid about $2 for the original certificate that was not used) and I have $15 in credit!  GO ME!

    • Nwray

they have 80% off now by using the code summer
