Here is a great deal on batteries just in time for the Holidays!

Staples is offering 100% back in Staples Rewards when you buy a 16 pk. of Duracell AA or AAA batteries for $12.99 this week.

Buy the batteries for $12.99 in the store, and then get the full value back in Staples Rewards to use on your next purchase.  Heads up this is in-store only.

(Thanks, Money Saving Madness!)

This deal is at office depot as well.

Can I use my Staples rewards towards the batteries and still get the $12.99 back?

      • Angela in Summerville, SC

No!  You won’t even get the full value back if you use a man. coupon.  You won’t even get the full reward if you use your Staples Rewards or a coupon on a different item in the same transaction.  In fact, I bought a mouse that was marked down in the same transaction with my battreies and got some of my batteries rewards docked because the mouse was discounted.  It’s better to buy the batteries in a transaction by themselves with no coupons or anything.  Good luck!

It is better to save the Staples rewards (before they expire of course) to buy something that has an “easy rebate” – this is coming to you as a check usually. Therefore, you could roll the rebates back into real money.

Are the staples rewards immediate or does it come in the mail?

      • Eric S.

You have to sign up online and the rewards will be credited to your account each month. Mine come about the 20th each month. Not sure if they are all the same.

I did this deal a couple weeks ago and the batteries were just $9.99 instead of the $12.99 as advertised. Does anyone know if I can do it again. Not sure if it is a monthly thing or weekly. Also, I have about $45 in staples rewards. If I print them out but only use $20. Will the remainder go back to my account. Sorry, not sure how this works. Thanks.

Just called the Rewards Center because I’ve done this deal twice in the last month.  They said you can do the deal twice a week till the end of the promotion!  I know from previous experience that if you use your Rewards, though, they will deduct that amount from the new Rewards they issue, so it’s better to save them for something else.

Yes I’ve tried using rewards for promotions like this in the past and they did deduct the rewards from the new rewards you earn.

      • Janell

If you only use a certain amount but not the full value, you have a limited amount of time to use the rest. Just a heads up.

You can get two – also go to your staples rewards page and make sure you don’t have any rewards to print, just went on there today and I had $4 that is expiring today – Off I go!

thanks for posting this, I had forgotten about mine. I just looked and had one for $8 and one for $5 expiring at the end of the month plus using a manufacturer coupon makes it a money maker!! thank you!

When you get rewards like these at Staples, Office Depot, or Office max can you use the “reward money” to purchase gift cards?

    • Sbrown1137

Don’t forget to use your manufacturer’s coupons towards the purchase of the batteries.

how long is this deal good

I was gonna be so sad if that deal had ended. Somehow I missed this post. But it is good this week as well (through the 10th at least).
