On the Kotex, could you not buy 3, use the $1 store coupon 3 x’s AND the $1 printable manufacturers coupon 3 x’s and get the $3 in RR making them FREE? I’m wondering if I’m not taking something into consideration?

    • Robin

I’m not that familiar with walg yet, it’s a little more complicated than other drug stores but seems like you should be able to do the kotex that way if you used filler items (maybe need 3?)

    • Michelle

Wasn’t there a $1 printable recently on coupons.com for Palmolive/Ajax, which would make the Palmolive free?

    • Misty

I am new at this and have a question. I went to Walgreens to get the .99 Sharpie Highlighters and tried to use the $1 off coupon. Also, I had another $3 item on the same ticket. The register would not scan the $1 coupon. The cashier said it was because the coupon was for more than the cost of the item. At Publix, this same scenario was not an issue. Is this unique to Walgreens?

    • leigh

I saw this posted on “common sense with money” and didn’t see it on this one. This deal started yesterday…we’ve already done it once!

Velveeta Shells & Cheese Cups 3/$3, Earn a $1 RR when you buy four
Use two buy one get one free coupons from 8/9SS insert
Use $1/4 coupon from Walgreens Back to School Coupon booklet
      FREE after RR and coupons

    • Bobbie

leigh, I cked the other site and thought it began tomorrow? I’ve got to go out today so I will check and see if I can get mine today. Thanks

    • Dale

What is the PG $120 Savings Book? Sounds like something I need!

    • leigh

That sight does say tomorrow, but on “hip2save” is where I read that it had already started:)

    • Karsten

I went to Walgreens today to get some more free toothpaste and noticed on my RR that it read $3 RR off my next purchase of $15 or more. The RR I got earlier in the week for the same item didn’t say that. It was a longer paper too, not as short as usual RR. Is this something new?

    • Bobbie

I did get two velveta shells today and two mac & cheese. The shells were $1.27@ and mac & cheese $1.00@. That’s all they had. My total was $1.27 with a $1. RR

    • Kathy

Brandi, the Kotex in-store coupons are for 36 ct. tampons only, which would not be $2.99. Not sure if your deal might work on the pads…?

    • Ashley

Are the coupons that are in the Walgreens “Back-2-School” Coupon book manufacturer coupons or store? It looks like store but says manufacturer on the back. Can they be used at other stores? If they are retailer coupons, can they be stacked with manufacturer coupons? Thanks!

    • Kaela

      I have a question-

So if you buy more than 1 thing that is supposed to print RR, will they all print like ECB? Or do you have to do seperate transactions for each item that is supposed to print a RR?

    • I am a single mom of 4 teenagers and really appreciate all the time you put in to this website. I don’t think I would survive without you!
      Thanks for all your time.

    • Bobbie

I believe you can do one transaction for different items and get all the rr’s. If you wanted to buy two of the same item then different transactions would have to be done.

    • Blakely

I had a great trip tonight to Walgreens. Thanks to the posters I was able to use my $2.00 Back to School coupon on Huggies wipes making them .79 or .29 (I had a couple of $.50 coupons). The cashier went ahead and gave me playtex at the sale price (3.99) since it was already marked tonight which was great because my coupons expired tomorrow and I got 6 packages of free BIC pens. The cashier was great! I had her my last trip and she was very helpful with coupons, RR last time as well.

Karsten (#9) My husband got a $3/$15 when he filled his prescriptions last week but I have not used it yet since I did not have $15 before coupons tonight. It should work like the ones that come out when they open a new store and as long as you have $15 after coupons you can use it – pretty sure you need $15 after coupons or RR.

    • beth

This is a pharmacy question–does wags. accept competitors coupons for a prescription transfer?

    • Cindy

If its a walgreens in store coupon when u scan it once it will take off for all 3 then use 3 manufactors coupons yes you can do that.

    • Cindy

ive discovered in the past its best to ask each pharmacy first some vary when it comes to that question. Also i know for a fact if is a medicare or medicaid prescription they wont allow you to get a gift card for the transfer. so always ask before u transfer and if they say sure we will honor it make sure you get here name so there wont be a problem at check out

    • Debra

I’m new at this walgreens register rewards program and need some help.
I have a question to ask. I see they have there single rolls of toilet paper with there coupon in the flyer and it says limit of 3 at 49 cents each, can I use that coupon for all 3 at that price?
      Thanks for any help.

    • J

Debra, you only need 1 coupon to buy 3 and they all 3 will ring up at $0.49

    • Gail

      For Brandi #1
You can not use the Kotex store coupon because it is not for the same sizes of pads or tampons that the in ad is for. At least for my ad in is not! Just check your ad and what is needed to use the coupons.

Otherwise you could as long as you bought other items because you can not have a negative balance.

    • Gail

I was wondering if any one would be interesting in exchanging baby coupons for dog/cat food coupons. I do not have any small children but do have pets. If you are interested e-mail me at gcopeland_27@msn.com.

    • Gail

You can’t see my total e-mail address because it put a underline on it. There is a underscore before the 27.

    • Melinda

I have never had problems at WG’s until this morning. The register did not print my 6.00 RR for the fusion razor or the 3.99 RR for my Softsoap. The mgr could not figure it out, so he processed a return on both items and processed again at another register. He first said it was because I had more coupons than items but that was not true. I had 16 items with 12 coupons. Has anyone else experienced problems?

    • Tracie

      Melinda #25:

This has happened to me at 3 different Wags here in Metro Atlanta. The way it was explained to me is that the register will not generate a RR when a Manufacturer coupon is used. Not all of the registers are programmed this way, but the 3 I shop at are. I should say, the 3 that I used to shop at, no more Wags for me!

    • Kris

      Melinda #25

The manager at my local store told me that some RR just don’t print. She said it was causing her a problem because some people were acting rude but there was nothing she could do to correct the problem. She told me to just call the store before I come to ask if they are really printing. I was so tired of getting there with 2 young children them walking out empty handed, I haven’t been in the store in over 3 months.

    • Gail

      Melinda #25

This happened to me some months back and the manager was nice enough to give me money back on all the items plus the money I would of gotten from the Reg. Rewards. I had a lot of items. The way it was explained to me was the total cost of the item could not be under the sale cost. Which doesn’t make any since to me because I always buy an item that is going to give me a RR back for under the sale price. So go figure! I called corporate about it and they had the store manager call me. I told corporate I did not want the store manager to call me but I wanted someone from the corporate office. Later on the territory rep. left me a message on my cell stating that he heard the store manager had explained all to me. So I basically got the run around! I never called back! Just started going to a different Walgreens that was still close by.

Now, I always use a filler item to be on the safe side and have never had any problems since.

I do small transactions instead of one or two big ones. Seems to work better for me & not so confusing.

You can use a mfg coupon on each item as long as you have enough items to meet the amount of mfg coupons you are using. There should of not been any problem using 12 mfg coupons for 16 items.

Did you use a RR to pay for your items? If you used a RR maybe it was from the same mfg that the fusion razor or soft soap were from. Then you would not get a RR back for the product that was from the same mfg. Other then that, I think all Walgreens computers have minds of their own!

    • Melinda

Thanks to you all for your replies. I’ve been shopping Wags since April and have never had problems. I don’t usually process multiple transactions. I just use my RR’s the next week since I’m always in the store. I’ll have to pay close attention from now on and will probably try several smaller transactions. My total purchase was 44.43 and I paid 8.97. Thanks again!

    • Does anybody know the answer to my question? Post 12 Thanks!

    • Kristen

$10 RR wyb $20 of Dr. Scholl’s Products
-$10 off Dr. Scholl’s Custom Fit Orthotic Inserts, SS 8/09 This coupon is for a product that is not sold at Walgreens ( They are inserts that run $49.99)

    • janet

The Walgreen’s Garnier $2 RR only worked for me on a new line of Fructis products…I got a hairspray. …just want to mention my Walgreen’s had a Garnier Fructis display with a sign stating beginning 8/30 buy $20 Garnier Fructis products and get $10 RR. It was on a shampoo/conditioner display…not sure if the RRs will apply to other products. Some of you may want to save your coupons and wait for that? Hopefully, that is legit info.

    • JennyM

      Response to #12
They are store coupons but they are for the 36ct box that is not on sales this week. The 18ct is on sale. But you can still stack a manufacturer’s coupon with it if you’d like. My Publix takes Walgreens coupons as a competitor and then I can stack a man coupon on top.

    • JennyM

Gail, have you ever tried the coupon trading site that Southern Savers has? Here’s the link. Have fun!

    • lynn

Went to Walgreens today to get the Soft Soap deal I was able to use a .75 coupon off Spa Soft Soap, since I didn’t have any of the 2.00 off, still made money & my daughter loves the Soft Soap Nutrim.

    • Gail

      JennyM #34

      Thanks Jenny,

      I will go there.

    • Karen

-$1/2 Right Guard or Dry Idea, SS 8/16

I had the same problem with the Sharpie Highlighters at my Wags, the guy charged me $1.00 for the highlighters instead of 99 cents and it took the coupon! I did not mind paying 1 cent more for a dollar off! I don’t know what the problem was…because I bought other items.

    • Mariah

Okay, I am trying to get a hold of this walgreens thing. My town has a walgreen opening in the next few weeks. I have never done walgreens before.

So are the RR basically the same thing as the ECB at CVS?

    • Stacie

A friend of mine called our Walgreens to check on the huggies wipes deal, and the $2.79 is not a sale price, it’s regular price! So, with the new .50 cent off coupons that came out 8/16, we are going to have some more wipes when the truck runs on Wednesday and Thursday! So excited! Maybe, just maybe, I’ll be able to get there before they are all gone! I think I have a few fellow southern savers in my area, one that I know of, but there has to be a couple more for the deals to fly off of the shelf that fast!

    • Gail

Is there any other place you can get the Unilever Raise Your Hand for Savings Booklet besides a Publix store. There is no store here.

    • Amanda

In response to post Ashley 12:

      August 15th, 2009 at 8:29 pm
Are the coupons that are in the Walgreens “Back-2-School” Coupon book manufacturer coupons or store? It looks like store but says manufacturer on the back. Can they be used at other stores? If they are retailer coupons, can they be stacked with manufacturer coupons? Thanks!

I think they are store coupons because the 5 isn’t there to be a manufacturer coupon but it says manufacturer coupon. Can anyone help Ashley with this?

    • Jennifer

Has anybody tried to use the $2 softsoap coupon yet? If so did you have any trouble with your RR printing? Thanks!

    • Beth

I tried to purchase Garnier Fructis today using a manufacturer’s coupon. (Sale was $3.99 plus $2 RR so final $1.99). My coupon was for $1.00 off. I did not receive the RR and asked the clerk why? She said I didn’t receive it because I used a manuf coupon. Even with the manuf coupon, I would have paid .99, so it wasn’t a moneymaker. I verified with manager who said the same thing. (I ended up returning it, since with the coupon it was $2.99) Anyone else come across this??

    • Bobbie

I was told at my Wags on the Back 2 School coupons that I didn’t have to cut them out? Just keep all and use as I needed them so I would presume they are store coupons like the ones that print in the circular.

    • Bobbie

Mariah, the Wags RR’s are not quite the same as CVS. If you purchased two of the body washes you would have to do seperate transactions to get two RR’s. Also you cannot use the RR from the first transaction to apply to the second one. If you do you will not get another RR. You have to use the RR’s from the body wash on something like the hairbrush or other items that will print you and RR.
      Hope this helps some.

    • Tiffany

      -Jennifer #42
I used the $2.00 off coupon for Softsoap and my RRs printed out with no problem.

    • Kim

At our local Walgreens in Chattanooga, all of the Sally Hansen polish was $2 off, even the $2.99 ones.

    • I’m just wondering, does anyone know if I can use both:

Free Gillette Fusion Shave Gel wyb Fusion Cartridges RP 8/16

-$4 off Gillette Fusion Cartridge Pack, 6ct+, PG 8/02, RP 8/16

or would this be considered using 2 manufacture coupons for the fusion cartridge?

    • Went to two Walgreens last night and the free Soft Soap is out. I’m checking another today and sending hubby to one near his work (bless his heart–he is enjoying watching my new obsession). I saw a post about them restocking Huggies wipes, is there a chance they will restock the SoftSoap that is free after RR?

    • Tiffany

The wording says Free shave gel, so the coupon is actually for the shave gel and not cartridges.
You should be able to use both. Look at Jenny’s explanation for the Kraft coupons on the home page.

    • Jennifer

I bought the fusion cartridges and used the free deodorant coupon with it and had no problem. In fact the cashier was going to give me the cartridges free until I correctled her. That would have been an awesome buy *** free cartridges! I wouldn’t have felt right though.

    • JEB

7 Days of Walgreens photo deals

GOt a free poster print yesterday.

    • Bobbie

Rec’d email this AM and had $5.00 in RR’s for spending $25. today through Sat. Don’t know if it will print if you use other coupons or not.

    • Scott

Had a problem with RR at Walgreens tonight. Not sure what happened but the RR would not print. I bought a Venus razor and cartridge and the Nutri Serum soft soap. I used a $3.00 off the cartridges, a $2 off the razor, and $2 in RR from a previous visit where we bought different items. The total bill after tax and coupons was $25.07. I should have received the following RRs: $6 for the Venus products, $3.99 for the Nutri serum, and $5 off of $25.

The manager had to refund the entire transaction for $32 (since the coupons were already scanned. He then said if I rebuy the same items without using the coupons the RRs should print. They did not. He had to give me mail in requests for all the RRs.

He said the reason the RRS would not print is because I used manu Qs on each item (including the previous RR for $2) and I needed to buy one additional item for each of my 3 items in an amount greater than the manu q used. Does that make any sense? It didnt to me.

    • Kathy

Ashley, a quick and easy way to differentiate betweeen store and manufacturers coupons: All mfg coupons start with either a 5 or a 9 (that single number sitting by itself to the left).
Jenny, you are so cool!!!!!! Thanks for all your HARD work!!

    • Tammy

      Re: Bobbie #53

Went to Wags Wed. Total before Qs was $45.xx; after Qs (store, man, RR) I paid $20.11. Got back the $5 RR + $11 more! My store is honoring the ‘Back to School’ Huggies Q as $2.00. Bought for .79!

    • Went to WAGS for the first time yesterday. Bought 9 – 5 pack Bic highlighters for about $.08 each (including tax). Used 3 $1/2 off Bic products and the highlighters were only $.39/ea anyway. Have many teacher friends so we will be giving them away.

If I buy one Nutri Serum and get the $3.99 RR, can I turn around and buy another one with the RR? Thanks!

    • Blakely

I had a pretty good trips to Wags last night. I got the Fusion Razer ($2 MC), blades ($4 MC) and free Fusion Edge shave gel ($4.29), the last box of Huggies wipes for $.29 after Store and .50 MC, 4 M&Ms & Snickers (.49 for all 3 after $1/2 and B1G1), 2 Tylenol ($2, $1 MC, B1G1 @4.49), 2 jumbo crayons, 1 24 count crayon, pencil box, highlighters (my store only had one left) glue sticks, gummy worms (two year old favorite)& FINALLY I found Wags Children activity books in Columbia – I went ahead and bought two.

I used a $3/15 RR, $2 wipes, $4 fusion blades, $2 fushion razer, free shave gel, $2 RR, .50 wipes coupon, $1/2 candy items, B1G1 Candy. It was $21 OOP with me getting back $5 RR & $6 RR. No beeps since I had made sure my number of items exceeded my number of coupons. I am going to save the Fusion stuff for my husband’s birthday (retail $26.27 which I got for $15.98 after coupons plus a $6 RR).

The last couple of weeks I have done pretty good Wags but the “rules” are easier at CVS.
