    I’ve been checking out southern savers for a few weeks now. Jenny does an excellent job. I live in Jacksonville, Florida and have been to 2 different Walgreens. Both of the Walgreens didn’t have the Starbucks chocolates on sale. If anyone lives close to me. Please let me know if this a regional thing or maybe I’m missing something.

    Colorado does not have the Starbuck on sale either. Went in today with my coupons in hand and they rang up at $5.99.
    Also, we do not have the Dove deal going here either….I think I may have to move…:)

    Be sure to have the item price checked by a cashier. I have noticed that a lot of times that the shelf price of the items that are on sale aren’t marked with the sale price. I wish Walgreens had self scanners so that I didn’t have to keep going up to the cashier for a price check!

    Garnier fructis products start at 3.99 at the Walgreens here in NC, and the Easy Saver Coupon is $2 off. Paired with the $1 manufacturer Q it would be .99.

    We just got a Walgreens in my area. Can someone explain how the RR works and is the ESB something that you get in the mail or do you print the one that I can view on-line at walgreens.com?? Thanks, I know these are silly questions, but like I said, we just got one here, so haven’t dealt with them before!!

    I work for walgreens, and whether or not you use a coupon has nothing to do with it. Some items do have a required purchase amount, BEFORE coupons. Some items need a certain quantity. But I have used coupons enough to bring the item down to free, or almost free, and still got my RR! As far as prices go, stores of all kinds are often coded by the areas they are in. You may go to several different ones in your town, and find three different prices on the same items. Advertises sale items should work, if not, speak to a manager, and he or she can fix it. Just always be sure to pick up the correct weights, or the correct size packages. If they will not honor your purchase, and you have the right item, call the customer service hotline, or the district office.

    The Easy Saver Rebate book, is a small booklet that is at the front of the store at Walgreens near the weekly ad. It is filled with all the items that have rebates on them for the month, but also has lots of store coupons!

    I just got back from Walgreens and did the Dove soap and deodorant thing.

    3 soaps at 99 cents each
    5 deodorants at 99 cents each

    I told the cashier I was new to couponing and wanted to see if it worked. Actually it printed a coupon for $1.50 and she subtracted that from the total and I gave her $6.00 in RR.

    My total was 19 cents!!! Plus I got the $10 RR coupon.

    Totally excited!

    My WAGS has Garnier for 3.99, not $2.50, but the Easy Saver booklet has a coupon for $2 not $1, so paired with the $1 MC, I got the item for .99 (still a good deal). The Revlon tweezers were also 2.99, which made the total .99 (again still a good deal if you need them).

    Also this week you can get the Glade Lasting Impressions for $1.99 – Reg price is $9.99 and I used a $4 off mfg coupon plus the easy saver has a $4 off coupon. Great deal! You can do the same with the Glade Sense & Spray. The mfg coupons came in one of the Feb’s papers.

    Does it say in the ad that you get $10RR with purchase of 8 (or 10) dove products? My ad doesn’t have anything but the coupon. I just want to make sure my store is doing the deal before I try it. I’ve returned a few things after the RR’s didn’t work and they are starting to remember me- in a bad way.

    Thank you so much for the advice. I hate having to bother the clerks too. I have also found that the Walgreens have had different prices on the same items. The groceries stores here do not double your coupons. It’s time to move.

    for the starbucks candies, even if they aren’t on sale they will be 2 for 10 regular price…use the easy saver coupon plus two $1 coupons and they’ll be free. You have to buy two or they’ll ring up 5.99 for just one

    Hi Jenny. Thanks for all the hard work you do. I have saved over $200 since I started last month! Question … I went to Walgreens yesterday and tried to pay using my 5 slips of RR (total of $17) The cashier said she could only use one RR for each transaction. The manager said the same thing. Is this just my store or is that a fact? They said they were trying to cut down on coupon fraud… Any thoughts?

    You should be able to use as many RR as you have products. Since the are manufacturer coupons you can’t use 4 RR to pay for 1 item, but if you had 4 items you could use 4.

    What a strange reason they gave you. I have never heard of anyone able to fraudulently make RRs??

    I bought the 8 Dove bars yesterday and used the 0.99 coupon. I got all 8 for 99 each and got the 10RR also. Not bad!
    The store also had the manufactures coupon for $1.50 off already taped to the Vaseline clinical therapy bottles. That made it free + overage after the 2RR.

    I tried the dove deal today. Bought 3 Dove bars and 5 trial size deoderants. I paid with previous RR and my $10 RR didn’t print. When I asked the clerk told me it was because I paid with RR (however, they weren’t Dove related).

    I had also gone to another store looking for the dove bars and didn’t find them but got a Raincheck (which I’ll use in a few weeks when the other stuff is on sale). I bought some other things and the clerk told me that I couldn’t use more than 1 RR at a time.

    Walgreens frustrates me so bad!!! I still got decent deals all around- I just don’t like how true the “your mileage may vary” statement is!!!!!

    I commented earlier and wanted to say I tried the Dove deal anyway. I went to the store and they had a little tag that listed the deal. They were out of dove bars but the manager was so nice! He opened a 6 pack of dove soap and rang them up as singles. He also let me use my coupon for $1.50 of a six pack or larger. I bought 2 travel size deodorants and used my $1.50 off and 2 deodorant. (they were next to the reg. size)
    I payed using RR’s I got from doing the Vaseline lotion deal- and got $10RR.
    I am so happy because we really needed soap and lotion- and I’ve been waiting for the perfect deal.
    So I spent about $5 OOP and got $10 RR for later.

    Walgreens is making me mad!!!! grrr…. at one of the Tallahassee stores, one of the managers wouldn’t accept my printed excedrin coupons!!! because “the picture didn’t match” !!!! Wags can be so frustrating…. and they only had a couple of the dove deoderants left so no dice on the buying 8 :-( I’ll have to try another Wags on the way home today… I did email customer service to complain… How do they not take the excedrin coupon?? Dummies…

    i went to walgreens today and they would not take the manufacturer coupon and the store coupon together for the excedrine. i was ticked. is there any way around this?

    Do all the stores do RR? The one by me did have any signs up by the items. I went to a different one and they had a sign up that said the RRs were for a specific size and scent of dove deoderant. And they only had one of that kind. How do you know? I was hesitant to get 8 deoderants and then be stuck with them!

    Does the RR for the dove products end today or last all month. Our store was out of the soaps and deos. I got a raincheck but was just wondering if I would still be able to get the RR later. Same for the J&J lotions, they were out of those as well.

    Does anyone know if you can “save” more then one recipt for the rebates online? Say I went to walgreens at the begaining of the month and bought a rebate item, then went again at the end of the month and bought a different rebate item… can I submit both recipts online to get the rebate for both? I know you can only submit once a month so I’m confused… thanks!!!

    You can keep shopping throughout the month and save as many receipts as you would like their system. As long as you only buy the limit of each item you will get all the money back.

    Jenny, 16 oz Coffee-mate BOGO $2.49 with two $1.50 off one item coupon – love free Coffee-mate.

    The disappointment was the Gillette Fusion razor $4.00 RR didn’t print because I used the $4.00 off coupon. The clerk said they caught onto that and are only allowing either the coupon or the rebate. I have several more of these coupons and will be trying at another Walgreen’s.
