It's all about what manager & cashier is on duty. I just left my Walgreens about an hour ago and we had WWIII! I had gone into my store last night and did about 4 transactions. So when the manager saw me tonight, she went to the cashier and told her to call her when I came up to the register. Then when she came to the register she told me I could not make any purchases tonight! NOTHING. I lost my cool with her. We went back and forth arguing for about 10 min and then realized that the only "duplicate" item I had in my buggy was the glucometer. So then she determined that I could make 2 transactions but that was it. I am so mad I could burst! Any suggestions anyone??
  • Tanya
OK, I fess up....I tried another Walgreens and did not have ANY problems using the Schick Intuition Razor deal,got2b deal and bandaid/neosprin deal. I will just start going to that store instead.
And I was treated so well by the cashier!
  • Tanya
I am fed up with Walgreen's! The manager told me today that if I use any manufacturer coupon on an item that has RR, then I do not get the RR's! I was trying to get the Schick Intuition plus while using the 4.00 off mfg coupon (and hoping to get the $3.00 RR back). What did I do wrong? In the same transaction I bought the Quilt Northern tissue ($1.00 off mfg coupon and in-ad coupon), 2 Campbell soups ($1.00 off 2 mfg coupon and in-ad coupon) plus the Cutter repellant $3.49 clearance item ($2.00 mfg coupon). Plus I was treated like a piece of dirt!

For those of you that are frustrated with Walgreens, this is a different animal than CVS. You have to pretty much buy everything first that you want to get a RR for. So if you want the glucose meter, the body wash, the listerine, etc. Buy them all at once. You will get all your RR and then use them to buy the other specials and items that aren't on sale. That's how I do it. I typically do 2 transactions at Walgreens. One for the RR and the other for the items that I wanted to get.

For example. I would have done the glucose meter and the nivea body wash and listerine. I would have gotten back $9.00 RR. Then I would buy all the other items like the aluminum foil, soup, etc and used the coupons and allowed myself to have $7 in "free" monies. That's how it works there. It can be frustrating if you don't know to do it all at once.
  • beth
my walgreens doesn't carry the .5 cent candies, the cheapest thing I 've been able to find is .89 cent candy--is there anything else cheaper that I am missing like a single pencil or something that I just can't seem to find?
  • My Wags (well the one by the University) Rock Hill, SC had $1 off the Bayer that is free this week....
  • Michele
I am just starting this couponing. Thank you a million! I am a stay at home mom and my husband was thinking I may need to go back to work, but because I have been saving sooo much, I can stay at home with the little ones longer. That means the world to me thank you..
But my question is, If there is an overage does Wags give it back? It kept beeping today and I had to actually put a filler item (.29 cent kleenex pack) so I owed money. Is there a reason?
  • Jenny
Walgreens does not pay you to shop. So you do have to either come out to zero or owe something.
  • Beth
thanks, sylvie--so i will go back in for the rembrandt and get another RR, can I use that and get another body wash to get another RR and then get another rembrandt and keep doing it over and over? This is so exciting! so much free stuff, i can't believe it
  • kathy
I went to Wlagreens today and was trying to use my $5RR and my &3RR to buy 1 10$ item. It would not take both RR's. are you saying that if I had put in 1 50 cent candy or "filler", I could have used both RR?
  • Sylvie
    Beth,

You can't use the Nivea RR on another Nivea product and get another RR. I used mine on the Rembrandt toothpaste and had to pay another .99 plus tax OOP, but got $6 back.

There are a couple of other choices like the band-aid/deal or the asprin. (It takes a little getting used to...figuring out the order to buy things in and how to best use your coupons.)

The Nivea body wash I bought smells wonderful and I like the Rembrandt toothpaste, so I think this is a GREAT week at Walgreens!!
  • beth
This is my first week and I didn't get the sunday paper, so I don't have alot of the coupons but I still feel like I'm making out like a bandit! But I need some help----I used a $5RR to get the nivea body wash from the meter (yes, i had to pay out of pocket, but i will send in the rebate) now my question is...If i used the $5 RR that I just got from buying the nivea body wash to get another nivea body wash--I will NOT get another $5RR ?? Is that correct?? and if it is, then what can I buy next time to keep my RRs coming out or am I just done for this week? Thanks for your help I just LOVE this site!

    Jenny,

When you say there are "NO Rebate deals" does that mean that the rebate program is indeed gone now, as someone had stated that it might be?
  • Jenny
The rebate program is indeed gone :(
  • tonya
i think i'll hold on to my cutter coupon until cvs puts it on sale.
  • Christy
Here are some J & J coupons and there is a $10 rebate for Zyrtec and a coupon.

  • Melissa C.
I found the Cutter at one of my Wags yesterday, 2/$4. The register wouldn't take the coupon, it said Not on File or something. The cashier called a Manager, who rechecked that I had gotten Cutter, the coupon didn't specify a size or certain item, and it was more than the amount of the item. He couldn't figure it out either, so called another Manager.

When that other Manager came, the first Manager told him that my coupons had the same number - talking about the barcode - and said they were all one coupon, and could only be used once.

I pointed out that the PIN numbers on the coupons were different, and said "I did not copy the coupon, I swear". So he looked at me and said he wasn't trying to say that I had. (Then what was he saying?)

Anyway, the other Manager entered them manually under Manufacturer coupons.

Did anyone else have trouble with their Cutter coupons not scanning?
  • Melissa C.
Beth it is always a one coupon per item rule, so you need to make sure you have the same number of items as coupons. If you want to use RRs to pay, just get some small filler items like clearance candy or a Coke/Water.

Also the RRs only work on the pre-tax amount, and unlike CVS, they can't tell you what that amount is. Take along a piece of paper and as you add stuff to your buggy, write the prices down and when you're done add then up and you should know your pre-tax cost then.

As far as the Ecotrin, I still maintain that Wags should be taking these coupons. They are for the right item, it's not our problem that Wags sells them at a lower price. And they will get reimbursed the amount of the coupon so they wouldn't be out anything in the end.
I feel like someone at the Walgreens company or whoever decided to make the registers *beep* at the coupons, or to adjust the face values, or deny them altogether is another one that doesn't understand how coupons work. And said person isn't going to change their mind or research it further unless alot of people complain. Just not shopping there anymore isn't going to tell them exactly why.

Shirley, you didn't say what RR you were using to pay for the Rembrant. You can't use an RR from the same company, for instance, using a Colgate Toothpaste RR to buy a Colgate Toothbrush will make your RR not print.
That said, if you used a totally unrelated RR, for instance a Coke RR, to pay for the Rembrant, then your RR should have printed and you need to both call the Catalina company and write a complaint to Wags corp.

I haven't had any trouble with not having RRs print because I use a Q. I've heard alot people say they have been told that. I have even been told that myself by a Manager who couldn't think of any other reason why it wouldn't have printed. But I had already did the same deal previously and the RR printed before, so I knew it wasn't a problem with me having used a Q.
If this is true at some Wags stores, though, then it'd have to be a Manager's decisiion because we know it's not every store.
Either way, you need also need to write and tell them why you aren't shopping there anymore.

If enough people says the same thing, then I think (hope) someone will start paying attention.
  • MiniMidgMom
I don't usually have much luck at Walgreen's but tonight I did:
    Campbell's soup 4 cans for 9 cents a can with Walgreen's and manufacturer's coupon

Cutter was reduced from $5.99 to $3.89 then had the $2 coupon. This caused trouble because the cashier didn't know she had to deduct my coupon then apply their in store code. She had to call the manager, a young lady who complained that she hated all coupons. Okay, you didn't notice that I just saved almost $10? I said "I love them, I save over $75 a week with them."
  • Shirley
I am so frustrated with Wags!! Bought the rembrandt yesterday, used a $5 RR plus cash difference & my RR would not print. Was told it was because I used a RR to purchase the item. Voided that transaction, replaced other items from my buggy back onto the shelves & left. Today in another Wags 40 miles away purchased a glucose meter, used Q & cash for tax. Had my buggy ready with all my items to roll my RR, but my $5 RR for the meter would not print. Was told by the "certified manager" that if you use a Q to purchase an item then you do not get the RR. I showed him the ad that clearly promotes the use of newspaper Qs to purchase the RR items & told him this was false advertising. I voided the meter, got my Q back & left. I don't think I'm going to try Wags again
  • I had a very frustrating Walgreens visit today and was hoping for a little help. I purchased the Ecotrin and the Tresemme for starters. I was told I couldn't use the Ecotrin coupon (for $2.25) b/c the product costed less. Then I was told that I couldn't use 2 Tresemme $1.00 off coupons b/c it was a one coupon per product limit and I wanted to pay with multiple Register Rewards. So she made me pay $9.00 and handed me back $6.50 worth of Rewards that I had tried to pay with saying the value of my purchase before tax was less than the Register Rewards. BUT I OWED $9.00! That was only the beginning, but I'll take any help with that I can get. Is it just the clerk or store, or am I really doing something wrong?
  • Sylvie
Thanks Sharon for your nice response as well. You are right... that seeing things from the other side of the counter is probably very different. I'm glad we can agree to disagree in a pleasant way. We southern girls know that polite comes first. I can't imagine having a reason to get ugly in a coupon discussion, but if I WAS saying something ugly... I'd just say "bless your heart"...the ultimate southern girl slam. ;)

Jenny, thanks for your spin on this. I was just a bit worried when the words stealing coupons were used... wanted to make sure I'm not doing something wrong... because I really want to play by the rules. I appreciate that you ARE teaching us to do this ethically. You are a wealth of info and I couldn't BEGIN to figure all this out without your hard work and straight-forward explanations.

Back to making my new Publix plan....
  • Christina
after purchasing 3 razor deals...I looked in the savers book and found $4 off coupons on them as well! bummer I lost out on $12. there's also a coupon in sales ad for savings off cards and 50 photo prints for $5
  • Jilana
If I buy two of the same item that is issuing a RR will I get two or just one RR? I tried the Ecotrin this afternoon and they would not take my $2.25 coupon because it was on sale for $2. I had her call the manager over and he said they only take coupons at face value, they cann't alter it and if it's more that the item you can't use it. I said the WG where I live does it and he said then I guess I need to call and tell them to stop. I wanted to make him give me all my money back for my first purchase.
  • Sharon
    Sylvie,

As you state, we are entitled to our opinion. I know, as a former buyer, that these stores place orders months in advance and when they are ordering, they are ordering the displays with the coupons attached so that the product will be purchased in their store. Some stores have even begun to remove the tear off pads and keep them behind the counter.
Also, I have witnessed shoppers remove an entire pad of coupons "to be shared amongst their friends"...
I guess what it really boils down to is if one can sleep at night with a clear conscience then they must be doing everything okay.
I can tell you that working behind the counter is entirely a different experience though when you are faced with consumers who deliberately and repeatedly try to cheat the system.
Not everyone who goes into CVS after the coupons are going to purchase something.
Thank you for being so nice in your comment. If you look at different blogs then you will see that people can be brutal to each other...yikes.

    Sharon
  • Sylvie
    Sharon,

I'm with you on the foil. If it's the wrong size, then I don't think the store would be reimbursed for the manufacturer's Q and that's unfair to Wags...they lose money and that's bad for all the customers in the end.

BUT I'm not sure I understand the problem with using a manufacturer's coupon that was on display for the taking at CVS at another store... in this case Wags. The Nivea coupon that was at CVS was available as a brochure for anyone to pick up or as a tear-pad as someone else has mentioned. It was not a CVS publication, or peelie attached to a CVS item, but a manufacturer's Q that was there for customers to pick up.

It would be the same as if I was shopping at Kroger and there was a blinkie for toothpaste which I didn't need at the time, but thought I'd save the coupon for the next time I did. The next time I needed toothpaste, I might be at CVS and use it there instead of Kroger.

The manufacturer publishes these coupons for us to use and does not state that they have to be used at the store where they are giving away the coupons. The store, Wags, in this case is reimbursed just the same as if the coupon had been in the newspaper. (and CVS is happy because I came into their store and bought something)

I don't agree with taking peelie coupons off of actual items to use elsewhere. I think that's totally different. These are simply manufacturers coupons that are on display, that Nivea WANTS people to pick up... otherwise they wouldn't spend money on printing them.

Although you are totally entitled to your opinion, which I totally respect since it's based on integrity, I have to disagree with you on this one. I would love to hear from Jenny on this as well.

Jenny, you have mentioned blinkies at one store in the past, using the coupon at another. Would the Nivea coupon be any different?
  • Jenny
    Sylvie,
I agree with you on using a coupon found at one store at another. Most stores (though I can't speak directly for Walgreens) are given or are paid to hang the "blinkie" dispensers in their store. They are happy to give out coupons because it helps you feel like they are helping you save money (and that makes you think of their store as having good values).

If you wait to only grab a "Blinkie", pamphlet, or tearpad coupon when an item is on sale, there will not be any coupons there. This is done only in moderation. I grab two blinkies max per trip. I will not stand there and empty the dispenser. I also agree with you on "peelies" I call the folks that take them "Peelie Stealers" and I don't like them. It is very different if the manufacturer or store took the time to attach the coupon to an item versus sitting out pamphlets.

The store would prefer you to use the coupon in their store just as they would prefer you to buy everything you ever need in the store but they realize that in reality this is not the case.

Lastly I agree with you on using on coupons for incorrect products too. The aluminum foil coupon I listed above actually has no size limits on it and I try to make sure I only list the correct coupons. Sometimes for me it is not easy to tell what types will be part of the sale so I list all possible coupons hoping that the readers will use wisdom and use the right coupon with the right variety they purchase.

To sum it up, if a store intends for you to use a coupon right then on a product you are buying in their store then first it needs to be a store coupon not a manufacturer coupon and second attached it to the product.

On a side note... while it is not quite the same... from my days in the medical world we had drug reps and product reps shoving product displays and coupons down our throats to hand out to clients. They never asked us to pay for them as it was pushing their product. If they wanted a better display area they had to pay premium for that space (same in grocery stores). So I just can't see a store paying more for a display that will take up a larger shelf space, rather I would think the manufacturer would offer that for free with the hopes that you would spotlight their product.
  • Laura
Just and FYI, the Centrum ad for $3 RR is for BOTH Centrum and Caltrate. You have to buy one of each. I had $6 worth of coupons and tried to get 2 centrums. Cashier looked up the ad and it says must purchase both.
  • Sharon
WOW! So some of you are using coupons for the wrong size items (foil), check the sq feet on the coupon and the sq feet on the one you are trying to buy...some of you are stealing Nivea coupons from CVS to buy Nivea at WAGS, some of you are trying to use Listerine coupons on the wrong Listerine...and you wonder why WAGS is "cracking down"?
Give me a break! People who are not honest are going to ruin it for people who are.
I love a great deal but I am honest with my purchases.
  • Natalee
I gave my free Bayer contour to a lady at our church who is diabetic. A freind of mine gave hers to the local nursing home.
  • Ashley
Help! I have one of the free glucose monitors, and there are a lot of posts that say they donate these. Where do you donate them? I'm in Jax, Florida. Thanks!
  • Jenny
    Ashley,
Contact Home Health offices, Nursing Homes, Homeless Shelters, almost anywhere that takes care of folks that might not be able to afford them.

    Thanks for being generous!
  • Melissa C.
Those of you wanting the Ecotrin should buy 2. You'll get the $2.25 off with no problem (or, shouldn't have any problem anyway), then get the $2.00 RR, you'll end up with .25 profit. It's not $2.25, but it's some, and you have 2 bottles of aspirin for free.
Sounds like some you need them for the headaches Walgreens has been giving you!

All you having problems with your Walgreens should write your complaints to the email address Jenny gave in the "I'm Calling Corporate" post. I use to wouldn't complain because I had that little bit of doubt, what if I was the one in the wrong?
But finally I decided well, if I'm wrong, they can explain to me why I am wrong.

But the two complaint emails I have written so far has gained me the results I wanted.
I have also read that alot of policies have gotten changed thanks to alot of people writing and asking about why something is. Rite Aid has recently changed their policy about not accepting Internet Printed coupons.

I plan to write Walgreens and complain about overage and stores that don't accept coupons for over the amount of an item at all. That is just nuts. Coupons are money to stores; the ones that are refusing coupons are essentially refusing money! That tells me that those people don't understand usage and need to be educated.
As far as overage, Jenny says we need to learn to think of our coupons as money. The stores get reimbursed for the amount of the coupon, so when they adjust the value down, they are taking money from our pockets. It's the same as if you bought a pack of gum for .79 and paid them a dollar and they just kept the change.

I think if enough of us complain, maybe Walgreens will get a clue. They are hurting themselves and losing customers the way they are treating people.

I too had problems with the ecotrin coupon. I told the mgr he would get reimbursed by the manufacter, so why didn't he just give me $2.00 off instead of $2.25. He hesitated-but did an override:).
  • Teri
I used the Cutters q tonight. It wouldn't go through but the cashier kindly adjuted the $.01 for me so it would work. I bought another cheap item too. The other day, one of managers refused to adjust for one penny and said people have been fired over that one penny. I think it totally depends on who the cashier is. I wouldn't ask but for a penny.....
  • beth
Can anyone tell me why my printable coupons for $2 off cutter and $2.25 off Ecotrin wouldn't go thru when they were scanned at the store? I was so excited until he tried them both and they both wouldn't work????
  • Melissa
heads up there is a $2 off abreva coupon on the abreva website.
  • Shirley
    Jenny,

Do you know if an item that has RR for a particular week is sold out & you get a raincheck can you still get the RR when you redeem the raincheck? I know CVS does with ECBs because I redeemed 2 last week. The manager at my local Wags (Clinton,NC) said I will not get the RR if the sale has ended.
  • Jenny
    Shirley,
You will not get the RR only the sale price. Sorry.
  • Natalee
I made my first couponing Wags trip today and I think everything turned out well. I didn't have any RR's to start with so my total was a bit higher than all of yours. I plan to try to roll mine into deals that we need weekly, but after reading these posts, it might be better to just use them when I am there a transaction at a time.

    Cost of Items: $51.52
    Coupons: $ 7.99
    OOP: $25.77
    RR: $19.00
    Really like $ 6.77

I had trouble with the Ecotrin too, but the manager adjusted the price of the Ecotrin to $2.25 to make it free. No overage, but FREE is definately good.
  • Sylvie
    Stephanie,

My Publix in Alpharetta, GA (Haynes Bridge and Old Alabama) takes them. I haven't ever tried to use more than one in a transaction... just in case. They also take my Walgreens and Target in-ad coupons in addition to grocery competitors.

Another Publix about 2 miles away from this one doesn't take any non-grocery store coupons (incl. Super Target), so I've never tried the RRs there. It seems to be up to each store manager.
  • tonya
has anybody used the $2 off cutter insect repellent coupon posted earlier today by jenny making it FREE?
  • Cindy
I'm near Montgomery, AL and I've used my RR at Publix and at CVS.
  • joei
caramels are usually by the register or a truffle is .39
  • Stephanie
I just asked my Publix today if they would take the Walgreens RR since they are manufacturers coupons on they said they do not accept them. For those of you whose Publix do take them where are you? Which Publix do this?
  • Robin
Could you please tell us where to find the $.05 caramels? Thanks so much!
  • Sylvie
    Honey,

Thank you for the heads-up on the Nivea coupon at CVS!! Mine wasn't on a tear-pad, but they had a Nivea display that had several little booklets with coupons in them. There was a -$1/1 and a -$3/2 Body Wash coupon. The $1 one works great for this Walgreens deal!

    Cristina,

Thank you for the heads-up on the Johnson and Johnson coupon at Publix! Worked perfectly for the 4 boxes of bandaids, making them 50 cents each!! With 2 boys... bandaids are a good thing to have around AND at that price, they're a nice thing to give to charity as well.

Thank you Jenny for giving us a place where we can get great info!!!
  • Penny
I talked to a manager on the phone and told him that in order to use more than one RR per transaction I would purchase the needed amount of items and then promptly return them. He said that was perfectly acceptable. I have done it a few times in different stores. This also takes care of the reply from cashiers that the computer won't take the RR because of tax excuse.

I suggest everyone experiencing problems contact Walgreen's. You can send an e-mail via their website. You can also call, but every time I call, I get a message that their mailbox is full--wonder why?
  • joei
Wag was horrible two weeks in a row. I couldn't ust the ecotrin Q, he didn't scan my foil or soup Q. The rimmel didn't ring bogo. Oh! CVS is not this complicated.
  • Mina
M Rose, I get frustrated by things like that every week. There are always at least a few that I'm really hoping for that don't come in our local paper. Generally, major papers for the big cities like Atlanta get them all. Those of us with smaller city papers get fewer. Inserts are printed for specifically for each area. If you read the super tiny print along the front spine of them, you can see which papers yours were printed for.
  • M Rose
Can anybody help explain something to me about why I don't get some coupons that are supposed to be in the inserts??? I did not get the intuition razor coupons in SS. This has happened to me several times. I live in the Spartanburg/Greenville area of SC. Thanks so much!!
  • Mina
It looks like people are running into problems with this:

"$4 RR wyb (2) or more Listerine mouthwash at 2 for $8
-$1 off Listerine Total Care Mouthwash 500ml+, SS 3/15
-$2 off Listerine Total Care Mouthwash 500m+, RP 2/08
(buy 2, use (2) -$2 off coupons makes both FREE after RR)"

Listerine Total Care is a specific product. The coupons that specify the Total Care can't legitimately be used on any of the products that are on sale as part of that deal. The specific ones on sale are the 16 oz. Whitening and the 1 liter Original, Cool Mint, Fresh Burst or Vanilla Mint.

I think this deal may be one that has been ongoing since early April. I was using the $3/3 different items Q and getting 2 Listerine, 1 Reach floss, and 1 Reach toothbrush.

Also, the RP 2/28 -$2 Q on the Total Care expired the day before this sale began. The ones from the 3/15 are still good, but just on the Total Care.

Stores that won't take Q for other items aren't being tough, they are just honoring the terms of the sale and the coupons. It isn't legal for them to submit coupons to be reimbursed for items they did not sell. Besides, if they got in the habit of submitting coupons for things they didn't sell, manufacturers would not participate in the RR's and ECB's. We'd all lose.

Stores tend to be very reluctant to take any IP Q's that are for more than the price of the item. They aren't supposed to reduce the amount of the coupon, and I've been told that the register won't allow them to raise the price that you are charged to bring it up to the amount. In the friendly stores, I've found that the managers can push it through for me even if it is over the amount, as long as I'm also purchasing other items so that my total doesn't become negative before taxes.

I won't be finding out if my Ecotrin IP Q works because someone here reset the printer to Fast Draft, which caused the tops of my Q's to be cut off and lose the exp. date and amount. Even without it the item is FREE, which was the original intent, anyway. I'm happy with the deal as it is.

It's a great week at WAG's, even without coupons.
  • I am starting A coupon class at my church next week & I am A little nervous. Do you have any advice? Thanks for all your hard work.
  • .Jennifer
Oh yeah... I tried that too with the coupon that they wouldn't take...

I asked if I could get two of the ecodin and use the coupon and they said that I couldn't because the coupon was for one item.

    *sigh*

I think next time I'll try CVS. I don't think I'll get as much stuff for as little money (since they have limits) but I don't think it'll be such a pain!
  • Angie
I'm having problems in Tuscaloosa, Al. with wags this week.

    1. Cannot use RR and a coupon (they would not manually enter
    2. Cannot use more than 1 RR per transaction
    3. No RR will print if you pay with an RR

I hope I can use my RR's at Publix. I'm not sure wags is worth the effort right now!!

PS love this site...thanks for all your time!!
  • Debbie
    Everyone,
I went to Wags this afternoon, and was able to get the Glucose Meter for free with the coupon. I paid .90 OOP (tax), but they wouldn't take the Ectorin coupon on 1, and I didn't really want to get two. I did get the $5.00 RR and was able to use it at Publix. I love my Publix (Five Forks) Greenville, SC
  • Ashley
I'm in Jax, FL. Where can you donate the glucose meters?
  • Christine
I had some problems at walgreens also. They would not accept the ecotrin printable. They would not accept the 2 got2be hair care coupons. The cashier was helpful, trying to explain to me that the RR's are manufacturer Q's-either way, I gave up, spent my RR's and I'm gonna stick with CVS.
  • tonya
also, walgreens would not honor the ecotrin printable coupon ($2.49 off). she said she could not even scale the coupon down to the $2 price of the item.

i'm getting sick of walgreens pretty quick. they're always so grumpy too.
  • tonya
i went to do the listerine deal w/ my two $2 off "total care" listerine. the register beeped and the cashier said the coupons were for "total care" only and would not take them. i tried it at rite aid also and again the cashier would not honor them. WOW, we've got some tough stores here in montgomery, al.
  • Christine
can I use Publix store coupons at Walgreens?
  • Heather M-H
I am pretty torn. Wags has been such a crap shoot lately with never knowong what will print and what will not and what Qs' they will accept I had quit going. This looks like a pretty sweet so I may have try it again.

Has anyone had any luck with the "RR are manuf. Qs" argument to get them to accept more than one per transaction?
  • Kristen
    Jenny,
Even if I buy the Nivea in two seperate transactions?
    Thanks!
  • Kristen
Also, I see that some stores won't print RR if you use a RR to pay for your transaction. Is this true? Should I just ask the cashier before I pay?
  • Kristen
I am new at this and WOW...I am SO excited. It so rewarding to save money this way. I'm hooked! Anyway, quick question. If I buy 2 of the Walgreens items (for example, 2 of the Nivia Body wash) will the register print out 2 of the RR (2 @ $4.99) or just 1? Thanks!
  • Jenny
    Kristen,
It will only print out one RR per deal you buy. So if you bought a Nivea and Bayer you would get 1 rr for each but if you buy 2 nivea you only get 1 rr.
  • Angela
Shoot - the prescription/gift card coupon expired yesterday. Is there a new one anywhere?
  • COURTNEY
I have had problems with Walgreen's as well here in Auburn, AL. They will only accept one RR per transaction no matter how much the transaction is, or how many items you have. How can we get this fixed? If other stores allow it, why won't mine? It is a manufacturer coupon, not the store's, so why is this? Jenny---can we get in touch with corporate to get this changed?
  • tonya
    oops sorry...
i meant jenny from FL. i'm going back and forth on posts and transposed your names.
  • tonya
    thanks julie!

    i will sleep peacefully tonight.
  • Jenny from FL
    Tonya,
I did the listerine deal this morn. originally, I picked up the wrong size and my RR didn't print but the manager helped me to get the right one and I had no problem using the total care coupon for the original. Got two free bottles! Yeah!
  • tonya
    LISTERINE SHOPPER,

the listerine coupons i have are for listerine "total care" (purple bottle). the sale is for..." one liter original, cool mint, fresh burst, vanilla mint, or whitening rinse 16oz."

has anyone done this transaction for the listerine and used the "total care" coupons w/ no problems?

    i'm headed out tomorrow...thanks.
  • couponmomma
It appears at our Walgreens stores (in Houston, TX) will not print out a RR if you use a RR to purchase items. Doesn't matter how many items you have, if you use even a $2 RR on a $30 order, it will not print out ANY RR. It's really crappy. I have to really think about if I'm going to keep doing this Walgreens thing -- it's very frustrating!
  • I had such the hassle at Walgreens today! I went in and did my first transaction to purchase the 2/$8.00 Listerine with $3 RR. I paid the transaction and went to my car. I came back in and the lady was like oh did you forget something. I wanted to purchase the Scrubbing Bubbles Starter kit ($7/1 and $3 RR was good price). Today I was told I had to have the number of items for all the coupons. Since the RR is a "Manufacture Coupon". I ended up purchasing gum on sale, but CVS is so much easier. You can use as many ECB as you need to pay for the transaction. I can tell why I do not shop at Walgreens as often. I also have a $3 RR that I need to make sure I use so it does not expire.
  • Jamey
Our Walgreens won't take multiple RR per transaction....GRRR. I tried to roll my $5 nivea and $6 rembrandt to purchase infant Tylenol for 9.99 (no coupon) and 2 boxes of Purell wipes with (1) $2/2 MCPN. So 3 items, 1 cpn, 2 RR...it wouldn't take the 2nd RR. Without the rebate program and bonus, now this RR problem, Walg doesn't seem too attractive for me any more.
  • Brandy
Just wanted to let you know that the gatorade is actually buy 4 six packs to get the 75 free prints. I bought two and it didn't print, but the manager let me do a return and buy two more. The coupon still didn't print so she wrote it out and signed and dated it for me.

Was really bummed that our coupons here in Lexington, SC didn't have the bandaid, neosporin, or schick coupons. With a two year old I use the first two a lot. Oh well, $1 for a box of bandaids is still a good price at CVS. Might have to get them off of ebay tonight so that I will have them before the end of the week.
  • .Jennifer
I wasn't going to send in the rebate. I'm donating mine, but I am sure that someone getting these will need them and if they are keeping them then they might be able to get something.

I figured out what I did wrong with the Listerine. I accidentally bought a Walgreens one! ouch!

Is there a way to fix this so that I get my RR? I used all of my coupons just to buy those (oh and obviously since I didn't mean to buy the store brand I really didn't mean to use a Listerine coupon for it).
  • joei
    Foil Q? anybody?
  • Cristina
Publix has $3/2 off any Johnson & Johnson product blinkies in front of the First Aid section.

    4 x $3 Band-Aids - 2 x $3/2 coupons - $4RR = $2 ($0.50 each)
  • sarah
If you did not use your manu Q for Maybelline from RP 4/5, use it on the BOGO Maybelline eye products this week. Would be a better deal with another Q, but a girl has to have her mascara!!!
