Bi-Lo Weekly Ad 10/7-10/13

Posted on Oct 07 2009 | By Jenny · Comments

It’s a great week at Bi-Lo. There ad states over 100 B1G1 free items. It is really a little less, but it is still a great ad. I will come back in and do math for all these deals in the morning. Right now I’m too tired to do anything correctly!!

Remember:shoppinglist1
1. Most Bi-Lo store double coupons that are .60¢ or less
2. You can “stack” a store coupon with a manufacturer’s coupon
3. You do not have to buy 2 of the B1G1 items to get the sale price
4. If you do buy two B1G1 items use 2 coupons if you have them

If you are new to Southern Savers read up on what all this means.

    thank you!

HUGE difference in the Breyer’s price compared to my ad though… here it is showing 2.98/48 oz Breyers ice cream

  4. Sue says:

I got a 50/1 Q for Cheez Doodles by signing up at wisesnacks.com. Makes them 50 cets a bag.

  5. Sue says:

Thanks, Jenny, for all of your hard work. You help me a lot.

  6. Deborah says:

Has anyone found the Keebler Fudge Shoppe coupon recently? Is it listed under a different zip code? Thanks.

  7. Shannon says:

I can not find the Snuggle printable. :(. I saw it yesterday I should have printed it then. Thanks for everything you do Jenny. This is my second week using coupons.

  8. Morgan says:

Is Breyer’s ice cream really $1.50? My ad says $2.98. And can you use the Publix free bag coupons at Bi-Lo?

    • Deborah says:

      My ad says $2.98 also.

      • Lane says:

I’ve learned that the flyer issued for Jenny’s area Bi-Lo (apparently St. Andrews) often runs different specials than other areas. For instance, Lexington, SC hasn’t had the in-ad coupons for eggs and other goods that were mentioned here in past weeks. All that to say, it’s probably wise to check your flier.

  9. AngelaDH says:

Won’t the $.75/1 coupon in the Yellow Advantage Buy Flyer work for the Sunmaid Raisin packs?

  10. bryan says:

    del monte printable is expired

  11. Allison says:

Tidy Cat litter at $1.59? Is that a typo?

  12. Janell says:

There is a $4.00 off any 6-lb bag or larger of Rachael Ray Nutrish in the Kmart “total savings $62″ booklet. Use two of these and get 2 bags for .99!!

    • Angel says:

is that link for FF or IE…all I get is the install the coupon printer message, and i’ve done it several times…..

  14. candice says:

wouldn’t the fresh express salad mix be 29cents with the $0.55/1 coupon?

  15. Deborah says:

Help! I now can not print coupons from the FF source link. I have been able to previously. Now it says to install and nothing changes. I know I saw posting about this issue recently ~ can someone help me out with this too? I need coupons :(

    • Karen says:

One of my computers is having this problem, too! Any help would be appreciated.

      • Amber says:

When this happens to me, I launch Safari and access Southern Savers from there. Then, I click on the FF (firefox) coupon link and it prints out great.

        Hope this helps!

  16. Sara says:

So Bi Lo does not take Target coupons? Found that out after I bought everything…

    • Amanda says:

The Bilos in my area do not take competitor coupons at all, not even for other local grocery stores.

    • AngelaDH says:

My BiLo in Ooltewah takes competitor coupons including Publix. I used a Target one there once and it doubled! I told the clerk but she left it on there. :p

  17. Mary T says:

There is supposed to be a $0.55/2 Duncan hines cake/brownie mix cpn. in this coming Sunday’s paper, so that will help bring that down. Finally! Hopefully this means we will start seeing the cake & brownie mix cpns. just in time for baking season. Anyone know when flour cpns. start coming out! TIA!

  18. Amber says:

Can anyone tell me how the BOGO works when you have a Buy-1-Get-1-Free coupon (like this week the Kleenex facial tissue is already BOGO and you can get a BOGO coupon from bilo.com.)?

    Thanks!

    • Amy B. says:

Not sure where you are located, but here in SC our BOGO actually rings up 50% off. So if you use a BOGO coupon with a BOGO sale, you buy two pay 1/2 price for the first one and get the second one free with the coupon. It ends up 75% off the two.

If your BOGO rings up first one full price, second one $0.00, then you would get both for free with the BOGO coupon.

      Hope that helps Amber!

    • c says:

just “forget” your bonuscard until the coupons have been put through and you should get the full amount of one off from the coupon then the full amount of one off from your bonuscard then you get both items for free with the bogo sale + bogo coupon. If you give your bonuscard first you will end up paying half the price of one, for the 2 items….

  19. Deborah says:

Jenny - Thanks for all your hard work! You make couponing feasible for EVERYONE, not just the stay-at-homes! You have a huge following in CLEVELAND, TENNESSEE and we look forward to meeting you Friday night!

  20. Celeste says:

My Dwight Yokam 40/1 q rang up for a FREE! it says 40c on it but when she scanned it - took off the whole amount! Not bad…two boxes of chicken fries FREE!

    • Leigh says:

Was this a fluke w/that coupon or is this happening every time? I may try it.

    • Karen says:

I couldn’t find the Dwight Yoakam chicken fries at my Bi-Lo in Etowah, TN. What were they near/next to in your store? I looked all over the frozen aisles…. I didn’t have time to ask a clerk today, but I’m going to go back in the next day or two.

    • c says:

I just checked and sure enough the yoakam coupons on their site are coded as frees… both the .40 and the $1/2…

so, did it automatically take off the whole amount or did it prompt for price input?? TY!

  21. Becky says:

I think I’ve found a coupon match-up for the Rachel Ray Dog Food. It’s in SS 9/27 and is $2 off any 6 lb. or larger of Rachel Ray Nutrish with an exp. of 12/31/09. Is this right? It looks like it matches the deal in my flyer.

  22. Ambo says:

Great deals! I know more savvy shoppers will do even better than me, but my total BEFORE coupons was $69 — I paid $22 for 6 bags of USEABLE groceries! Thanks, Jenny!

    • Karen says:

Great! I’m just learning and beginning “couponing”, but I feel great about my savings today. I don’t have a stockpile yet, so I needed several things that weren’t on sale or I didn’t have a coupon for, but I got $98 worth of groceries for $60, plus tax. I should break it down to just things that I used coupons for, but I know I did great in that area. I got the Keebler cookies for around $1 a package - instead of the $3.49, I got the fresh salad for 50 cents a bag, instead of $3 a bag. I got two bottles of Glass Plus for 50 cents each, instead of $2.59 each. I LOVE this!

  23. heather says:

The only printable coupon I see for the Fresh Express salads is 55 cents off TWO … is that what everyone else sees when they open that link?

  24. jen says:

This may be a crazy question, but my printer ran out of black ink in the middle of printing. Does anybody know if I can still use coupons if they are printed in red/orange color? I am not sure if they are scanable!

    • Deborah says:

I was able to use my coupons when they printed like that. Some of the coupons still scanned but there were a few the cashier had to type out the bar code but I had no problems.

  25. ileana says:

Hartz Crunch & Clean Dog treats are also on BOGO For $3.99, so $1.99 a piece. Print this http://hartzcrunchnclean.com/DogOffers.htm $2 off coupon and you get it free!

  26. Lisa says:

Buy Theirs Get Ours Free Question

I am newer to couponing and I am having a hard time understanding the Buy Theirs Get Ours Free, to even make things more complicated I am unable to log in to the Bi-Lo Website to get the coupons for the Buy Theirs Get Ours Free. So my two questions are: Can someone please clarify the B.T.G.O.F. and how or who do I talk to about being able to log on with my BiLo card number successfull? (I tried to talk to the guy at the store and he gave me a *I don’t know* look.) Thanks a bunch!

    • Amy B. says:

      Hi Lisa,
You can contact Bi-Lo corporate about your login trouble here. I would use the phone number provided assuming you have already tried to create an account here.

As far as the Buy theirs coupons its like a b1g1 free store coupon….. if you purchase the name brand item, you get the store brand free. Since its a store coupon, you can still combine it with manufacturer coupons to get the name brand item cheaper.

      Does that answer your questions?

Am I right in remembering that the B1G1 price listed here is for 2 and not split for 1 product? I know that changed a while back. (ie, the Eckrich Smoked Sausage at $3.99 is the B1G1 price (for 2).
    Thanks for all you do!

  28. Lisa says:

Don’t know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but my Bi-lo ad had a coupon for $6 a Snowwhite sparkle doll with the DVD/blu-ray purchase. It said manufacture coupon so I took it to wal-mart and got the doll for $1.44! It was $7.44 regular price and I used the $6 coupon. I also used the $10 Snowwhite DVD coupon and got the blu-ray for $9.97.

  29. Shannon says:

I found the snuggle coupon today. I printed 2. If I understand correctly I will be able to use the $3.00 coupon and also the $1.00 coupon at Bi-Lo. If so that will make it almost free or possibly free depending on which one I buy.

Yesterday I stopped in a General Dollar store and bought Snuggle , it was $3.75 with my $3.00 off I got it for $.75 so I think I did pretty good.

    • c says:

?…. you can use one coupon per item… so yes you can use 1 $3 coupon and one $1 coupon if you buy 2 items…. (is that what you mean?)

      • Shannon says:

The online coupon was for $1.00 and I have the $3.00 coupon, I thought that would be stacking a coupon. I am so new to the coupons and stacking coupons I just do not really know how to say it.

        • Jason says:

If the $1 coupon is a manufacturer’s coupon then you can’t stack it with another $3 manufacturer’s coupon even if it’s not a printable. You can stack “Store coupons” with mfg. cpns. but only 1 mfg. coupon per item is allowed. Hope this helps.

Jenny, I have SS from 2 different regions, upstate sc (Greenville News) and midlands (Newberry Observer, which should be the same as The State insert), but can not find the Q’s for the Nissin products. Could you tell me what area your listings are from?

  31. Alicia says:

We don’t buy soft drinks very often but I got a good deal on Pepsi 2 liters. I used the coupon from here: (http://www.buildurdestiny.com/interna_coupons.php) to get a 25 cent coupon that doubled. The Pepsi product 2 liters were not on sale for 79 cents but were 99 cents so they were 49 cents each after coupon which is still a good deal. I read the coupon carefully and it said good on 2Ls.

  32. Sue says:

If you do the Bi-Lo survey after your visit, you will get a Q for a free 2 Liter Southern Home soda. I was hoping they would be offering the thermal bags this month, since I got he green ones last month. Oh, well, maybe later.

  33. Abby D. says:

Im not sure how to go about posting the direct link, but on coupons.com, there is a coupon for $1.50 off any 2 packages 8.5 oz or more of Keebler cookies. Thats $.50 better than the one you have posted if Im looking at it correctly. Hope this helps and that Im not doing anything wrong!

    • Alicia says:

I used this coupon today. For some reason it beeped but when the cashier saw I did purchase two she sent it through. Not sure why it didn’t scan, the cookies on sale are bigger than the 8.5 oz that the coupon specifies.

    • Karen says:

I bought 5 packs of Fudge Shoppe cookies and used two of these coupons and one other coupon for $1 off of 1 pack. I think the twosie coupons beeped for me, too, but the cashier approved them without a problem. Unless my math is off, with the BOGO it made my 5 packs of cookies 99 cents each, instead of the usual $3.59. :-)

  34. Shannon says:

I have all my coupons printed, cut and sorted out. I am going shopping this afternoon or first thing in the morning. I sure hope I do good. I will need some things that I do not have coupons for, I am sure I will be able to save a good bit though.

  35. tina says:

I wish each item had the price after coupons like it once did :)

    • Jenny says:

sorry, we haven’t stopped since Wednesday. I’m trying to get to it today though.

      • tina says:

I know you work hard at this and it is greatly appericated!!! I use your list to go by when doing my grocery shopping!! This is how I plan my grocery shopping for the week!! Thanks again for all you do, it does by in no means go un-noticed!!

  36. Jenni says:

I got nilla wafers today with the BOGO. The boxes had $.55 coupons off bananas on them. I got 3 boxes so I got three separate 1 lb bunches of bananas.

    2 boxes Nilla wafers BOGO = 3.99
    3 bunches bananas = 2.17
    3 55 cent Q doubled = 3.30
    total = 3.16

    • Jenni says:

Oops math wrong - 3 boxes nilla wafers, bananas 3.07
so for 3 boxes & 3 lbs bananas I paid 4.74. I know that isn’t the greatest deal but I was needing the nilla wafers and had no other coupons so I felt like I made out well.

Thanks for the heads up on the clorox -
I was very excited to combine 3 packs of wipes $2 each, buy 2 get one free coupon, 2 50 cent off coupons (doubled), and buy theirs get ours free. Came home with 4 things of wipes for the school for $2.

Hope my kids like the new yogurt, for free I figured they could try it.

  37. HarleyQ1969 says:

  38. Beth says:

2 liter Pepsi is 99 cents at my BiLo

  39. Debra says:

From Columbia and can’t find the Tidy Cat litter coupon in the Red Plum 10/04. Am I missing something?

    • Michelle in Martinez says:

No, I’m from the Augusta, Georgia area, and mine didn’t have it, either. I guess it was just a regional coupon. :( See my note below, though, for good savings!

  40. Amy says:

I just wanted to let everyone know that this sunday there is a hostess coupon for 50 cents off 1 hostess snack cakes and the sweet sixteen donuts are BOGO this week at Bilo. so they would be 50 cents a bag. Thanks

  41. Michelle in Martinez says:

    For
    Tidy Cats Litter, 10lb.
It was 2.58 at my Bi-Lo, then BOGO. Each bag has a $1.00 Q off your next purchase. I bought 4 bags today, and plan to go back tomorrow with my $1.00 off Qs, which will make it .59 apiece. That’s a GREAT deal on kitty litter! :)

    • Teresa-QOCD says:

kitty litter is also good liquid absorber for the garage (oil).

      • tina says:

It’s also good to put down on ice spots in the winter too. We don’t smoke in the house, good for putting out cig’s in too.

    • Sue says:

I went to Bi-lo today. The kitty litter was B1G1 @ 2.73. I had 2 Q’s. They state “any size, any variety” but they would not scan and she would not key them in. Also Dwight Yokum Q’s would not scan and the Hostess Q’s would not work for the donuts. I was very dissappointed with this, but I should not complain. I did 2 transactions totalling 295.00 before BonusCard and coupons and paid 81.00. I had to do 2 transactions because my cart would not hold anymore, so I checked out, put it in the car and went back in.

  42. Margie says:

Hmmm…can’t seem to find the Ocean Spray Oatmeal in the SS from 10/11 in The State.

    • Paula says:

I only got ONE of the coupon inserts with the oatmeal coupon. Used one and still got the 2 boxes for 1.34….not bad!

  43. Paula says:

Any last minute shoppers before the Bi-Lo ad ends today. I bought the Betty Crocker Warm delights for .67. On several of the packages, there was another coupon for “buy 2 and get 1.00 off any icecream”. Since I had several coupons for the betty crocker, I bought enough to get the Breyers ice cream for another dollar off! Great deal on both!

  44. Jasmine says:

Can you use a catalina at any store? I had one from Knroger I used at Bilo. They gave me a hard time but took it. It’s a manufacter coupon, shouldn’t it work as one and not as a store coupon? Thanks!

  45. Joy says:

Has anyone received the 10.00 Bilos Kelloggs rebate back yet?
