Kraft has a buy a bag of shredded cheese and get a block of cheese for free... and I used $1 off of two kraft products.
  • soymilk30
I just went to the Food Lion on Villa Rica in Dallas, GA. The cashier was really nice about it and she manually had to take the $10 off of my purchase.

I think she had to do this because they were out of the sizes that were supposed to be with the ad. I got the bigger boxes. For example, the ad stated that it would give you the deal if you purchased the 8.7 Froot Loops and I was able to get the 12.2 oz for the same price.

My goodness they have made these boxes so small. Is anything in them..LOL

But I will say that Krogers & Publix offers bigger boxes for the same price. This was my first time shopping at Food Lion.
  • Poom TN

Love that store! (I used to work there). :)

Jenny- had my first bad FL experience last week. They would not allow me to stack a FL coupon with a manufacturer coupon. They also gave me a hard time when I redeemed rainchecks and the coupons that went with them had expired. I explained to the young lady that the coupons were not expired when the rainchecks were issued(just a few weeks ago). I've never had a problem before with either of these issues. We actually have a pretty great store. I did call corporate......VERY KINDLY....to ask for clarification on both matters....NOT to complain. She confirmed that they would not take a FL coupon and a manuf coupon for the same item. She did not know about the rainchecks and coupons but promised to follow up for me. She very kindly offered to mail me a copy of the coupon policy as well. Unfortunately some of the deals just aren't so great without stacking and I certainley don't want to spend anymore time clipping coupons than necessary. It's just good to have the facts:)
  • deborah
I just found BOGO glass plus cleaner 2.80 with a 1.00 coupon made it 1.80 for 2, wish i had printed a second coupon
  • lisas074
I went to FL last night, They had a bin of Oreos cookies and Oreo's cakesters with a coupon - B1G1 right on the bin, so combine that with the $1 and you get them both for $1.99
  • Tisha in Greer, SC
I will be skipping Food Lion this week. So disappointing!!!!!!
  • amyc1234
Just bought 10 boxes of NutriGrain bars. Didn't have any coupons, so paid $1.50 per box. However, 4 of the boxes had $5 worth of coupons inside. So, I got $20 in coupons out of the deal! And on items I'll definately buy. Awesome.
  • zjustine
I was wondering if anyone else is having trouble with FL. I went to two today and they told me that the cereal is $2.50 after the discount. I kindly asked how could that be since it rang up for $2.50 regardless if I bought one or ten. Then I tried buying ten boxes and the total came to $25.00, no coupon came out and no additional $10 came off. So I returned them. I am new to this would really appreciate any help anyone can give me. Thank you.

I fell your pain. I "tried" to do this deal at my local food lion. After eventually getting the highest manager involved, it was clear he had no idea what was going on. he tried yo tell me that the
$10 was just an MVP savings. I finally got frustrated and just told them to cancel the transaction.
if they are gonna run promotions like this, I wish they would educate their managers on the specifics.
  • Lisa
I live in the Chattanooga/North GA area. I had a nightmare of a time trying to get this breakfast deal. I ended up going to 2 Food Lions and finally after 30 minutes with the manager, I ended up getting the deal. At the first Food Lion (Rossville) the manger told me if you added up the MVP savings it totaled $10. I knew that was wrong so I went to the Fort Oglethorpe Food Lion and the manager there was very helpful, made sure we had correct sizes for sale, ringing it up twice, etc. I will give the Fort O. Food Lion my business from now on. Very nice and patient manager
  • julie
Read my post above about the trouble I had this morning with the breakfast deal. The Food Lion you went to probably didn't realize yet the size boxes in the weekly flyer aren't the ones included in the deal. The manager had to trade out my cereal boxes for the correct size ones (which were actually bigger=better deal) to get the $10 off my order. It is very frustrating when so many errors are made though. It shouldn't be so hard to get the advertised deal! I was glad the manager handled it because the cashier was not friendly and stocker was flat out rude in her choice of words when I was trying to find the correct size boxes.
  • zjustine
Thank you Julie. I should have mentioned that the clerk tried to help me and we tried the bigger size boxes but the $10 still did not come off. She still insisted that $2.50 is the discounted price. Maybe I'll try other FL again tomorrow. Thanks for your help.
  • julie
Try another store because once we had all the correct size boxes the $10 came off at the end of my transaction.
  • Tiffany
If you buy 5 Kellogg's Cereals you should get back a $4.00 catalina from Kellogg's also. That deal is suppose to be good through 3/10.
  • RebeccaFer
Really? Do you have a link on that one? Thanks for the heads up too. :D
  • Tiffany
They don't show it on their website, but I had a catalina print out with the deal info on it. I have done it at Bilo a couple times, but the catalina was from FL so it should work there. If you buy 5 it is $4. If you buy 4 it is $3 or 3 will get you $1. Good luck.
  • RebeccaFer
Thanks Tiffany! This definitely "sweetens" the pot! :D
  • julie
Breakfast Deal is great but make sure you check the correction at your store. I did the breakfast deal this morning. This weeks' price tags weren't up yet so I used the weekly flyer to make sure I was getting the right sizes of cereals. When I checked out the $10 didn't come off. Turns out they had printed the wrong cereal box sizes and were hanging up a correction at the store's entrance. They did fix it for me and the correct boxes were actually bigger and a better bargain. Plus I had the cereal coupon and breakfast bar coupon from the paper a while back! Just double check for the correction before you check out.
  • jennifr1966
Good breakfast deal. It doesn't look like it at first, but once you take $10 off, it is!
Deal Idea, not including coupons, but based on probably having them: (1) Pop Tarts @$2.50, (3) Cereals @ $7.50, (2) FL Oatmeals @ $4, (2) Hungry Jack syrups @ $5.58, and (2) Hungry Jack pancake mix @ $4. A good stock-up that should last for a good number of breakfasts. Subtotal: 23.58 minus $10 deal = $10.58 total!
Now, *if* you happen to still have all the coupons mentioned above -- $1/3 cereals, .55/1 x 4 Hungry Jack products, that's a total of $3.20 off in coupons
(plus I seem to remember a pop tarts coupon, too), we're talking a total of $7.38 for all of these!!!
  • mayte
Where do you get the 10.00 coupon?
  • RebeccaFer
There are quite a few Pop Tart boxes at my Charlotte Bi-Lo that have coupons on the back that would work. Last time I bought a bunch, I went to CS and asked if I could cut them out right then and there and use it to purchase them. She had no problem with it and neither did the cashier when I explained why the box had a gaping hole. She nodded like she does it all the time. My Bi-Lo is awesome though so don't expect that at everyone unfortunately.
  • pharmSCgirl
The breakfast deal seems good b/c if you buy 9 boxes of Kellogs cereal and 1 hungry jack pancake mix, the total after coupons and savings would be $10.94 which makes it almost $1 a box. Not bad!
  • Kim
Don't usually shop at Food Lion unless there is great deals so I couldn't pass up on the Breakfast deal. Plus the manager saw me buying all the Kelloggs cereal and gave me coupons for $1 off each box - 4 total. So I ended up with 4 boxes for 50 cents each! Best trip to FL ever!
  • RebeccaFer
What an awesome manager! Gotta love good CS! :D
  • Christa
Hi Christine - about the pancake mix, it is part of the breakfast deal. If you buy 10 you save $10 at checkout, essentially $1 on each product.
  • marysc
There are coupons on the back of some boxes of 12 count Pop Tarts for $1.50 off 3... takes the price down to $2 each before the extra dollar off from the $10 off 10 promotion!! 12 count pop tarts for $1, can't do better I don't think.
  • Christine
OK I'm confused.... Hungry Jack Pancake mix is 1.99, with a .55 coupon, why would it be .44 cents??? wouldn't it be 1.44 or am I missing something?? help!
  • If you buy 10 then you get $10 off your total. Look up top, their are other breakfast items included in the deal. 1.99 X 10 = 19.90 19.90 - 10 (from breakfast deal in ad) = 9.90 9.90 - 5.50 (10 coupons at .55) = 4.40 / 10 = .44 each :)
  • Good price on the canned veggies, wish I would've waited to get canned vegetables until this week, I just bought some last week! Darn!
  • The Kraft singles tearpad coupon that I found (the Easter Seals one, $5 in Kraft savings) only allows for use on the 16 oz. Is there another tearpad out there?
  • Judy
Sorry that was for Parmesan cheese

Ground Beef is $1.27/lb. in the following areas: Anderson, Greenwood, Inman, Laurens, Lyman, McCormick, Piedmont, Roebuck, Spartanburg, Union and Woodruff. Plus, if you use the $1/$5 beef Food Lion printable, you can get it for $1.02/lb. (4lbs. @ $1.27/lb.=$5.08 - $1/$5 = $4.08/4lbs. or $1.02/lb.) That is the lowest it gets around here!
  • born2worship
My FL in Fernandina Beach, Florida has ground chuck for $1.88.
  • Jan
Charlotte area FLs have $1.88 lb. for ground chuck too. At least there's a $1 off q.

  • Sumter, SC is $1.37/lb too. I got 5 lbs for 1.17/lb after using the $1/$5 beef Food Lion printable!
  • Emily
Also different in the above areas... Holly Farm Drumsticks $0.89/lb., Whole Pork Picnics $0.89/lb., Boneless Sirloin Pork Chops $1.99/lb.

Meat is the only area with variations that I noticed but I didn't check each and every thing.
