You can get a free 1 year subscription to Family Circle through Mercury Magazines right now.  As you register it will ask for your occupation I chose homemaker and it let me subscribe.

Remember: This one has some coupons every month…

    I'm trying to sign up but am stuck. Once I enter my occupation, etc I click continue and go to a page that indicates that I can choose up to 3 more but I click continue and that brings me to a page that has several boxes one of which indicates that I haven't put my address on there (because they haven't asked for it). When I click any of the options on that page the word “error” pops up at the bottom on the right. Did anyone else have this problem?

      I had the same problem. I'm assuming you will get an e-mail to enter this info??? If not maybe we can go to Mercury Mag. site and find a Contact us link??? That's what I'm going to try doing.

    I got the same thing. It says Thank You, but then it says I forgot something and to press continue, but when I press continue, nothing happens. :-(

    I was able to enter “other industries” and “homemaker”, but it required a job function and although I chose an option, it wouldn't let me select the magazine subscription. What did you choose for the job function?

      This is sad, but I can't truly remember, but I *think* I chose, other->homemaker, General manager -> Operations -> Partner. When you go to “check out” I put homemaker as my title and it requires a company name, so I put “[last name] household” Of course, filling in my last name.

    Apparently you have to be a “something”. I went with General Manager, Manager, President, etc. until it quit asking me and then I finally got through to address. (Had to use a title and company name when filling out the address part.)

    i was able to do this. As far as job functions i got as close to what I do as possible and had to just select something on one of them.

    Does anyone know what the intention of this offer is? Is their goal to have these magazines sitting in waiting rooms? It looks to me like they truly want you to be a bona fide business, because they require a job title and company name, but if so, why do they list the option of homemaker? If they allow homemakers to do this, I'm all for it, but my conscience won't let me make up a bogus company name if they have no intention of allowing homemakers to do this…

    I finally got it to work, I chose homemaker, then general management through the next series, finally let me put in an address, and I was honest as I put homemaker/teacher as my occupation, and for company I just put “home”

    I used: Other, Homemaker, General manager, Operations, Partner
    then used Homemaker as my title, Household as company name…it gave me the subscription.

    I used my husband’s info, but put the address as our house instead of his work address. It gave me a chance to select 3 additional subscriptions based on his job, so it may be worthwhile to do this!

    I signed up for it, but it never asked me for my address… It said at the end that I will receive my subscription within 6-8 weeks.. Wonder where its going??

    If you play around with it for a few minutes you will eventually get a combination that does work…Took me about 4 tries…but I got it!!! thanks Bunches!

    I had no problem with mine. I put in (my profession) Medical, Hospital, Medical, RN and it gave me offers of other mags too (which I had no interest in so did not choose). I just put in RN for title & company name and it went through without a problem. Thanks Jenny!!

    mine worked, but at the end screen when it said my subscription would be arriving in 6-8 weeks, it said that it might “vary by title” – which has me thinking they might send me a different magazine?

    Finally worked for me too! I also used homemaker, then went onto the series of other questions with general management or manager for the rest of the drop down boxes. In the business name field, just type Homemaker or whatever and then it will ask for your address.
    Worked like a charm. Can't wait!

    Worked for me! I used retail then clothes as Industry. For job function I put management, general management and then business management and it worked. Then I only checked the Family Circle and after a few pages it shows where to enter the address. Hope this helps.
