Birthdays are so fun for children, but can be so stressful for parents. With so many different things to buy and plan it can be a real hassle. When my twins were turning five, the Betty Crocker website was great in helping me with the party planning. It has everything you could possibly need to help plan your child’s birthday party, from how to make themed birthday cakes to what party favors to give the guests. One of my personal favorites, the page for the Flip-Flop party, tells you how to make Flip-Flop themed invitations, gives you ideas for party favors (funky sunglasses), and a list of fun game ideas (can’t go wrong with water balloons), as well as teaching you how to make a Flip-Flop cake!
The website has all kinds of helpful information like instructional videos, shopping lists, party activities and games, and invitations. It also has different themes so your children won’t be limited in their birthday party dreams!
This year I asked my girls what kind of party they wanted. It’s hard to get two kids to agree, but we ended up with wanting a bunny cake and something with spots. (Pretty generic if you ask me). Another toss up was a butterfly cake.
We let them pick out invitations from the website to send out and pick the activities they wanted to do. They had a blast and it was worth all the planning!
To try out their website with all these plans, Betty Crocker and MyBlogSpark sent us a “Bake Life Sweeter” pack. It had VIP coupons, a $100 gift card, and a Flip video camera.
