I have a coupon from redplum for sparkle paper towels which says “Save $1 when you purchase two(2) sparkle paper towels 2 giant roll or larger” My question is will i be able to use this coupon for the 8pk which is on sale in CVS the coming week. Or do i have to buy 2 (8pk) to get this coupon? Can you please help me out with this

The $2 CVS Huggies coupon is not coming up for me on the CVS coupon site….I printed it out last month, could that be why?

Also, question: I got a coupon from the magic red machine for “FREE Huggies diapers” bec. I bought the 6 required. Can I stack this “free” CVS coupon with a manuf. coupon to get overage? That would be nice if it worked!

i have done it and it worked, i always give the man q first and then they will take the price of the diapers off later in the trasaction, and i think the cvs huggies q is the same one you printed last month but some may still have one laying around

At my cvs for the free packs u earned. I use the huggies $3.00 off, a cvs $1 off huggies, and the free cvs coupon. So i normally just get 2 packs for nothing. This week I Did 2 packs @ $8.99 a piece -$6(2 huggies $3 off),$2(2 cvs $1 off), $8.99( free pack)& i had a $1 ECBucks but
I just had .99 cents on the total so thats What she took off. All I paid for was the tax = $2.12

If you can find the new Reinventing Beauty Magazine, there are good deals using coupons from it.

There is a -$5 wyb $10 of GlaxoSmithKline Oral Care products. Using the same deal idea Jenny listed, you could get a Sensodyne Iso-Active and a Sensodyne ProNamel for 24¢ each.

There is also a -$3 Nature Made coupon that makes them 99¢ after coupon and ECB.

Finally, there is a -$3 Huggies coupon that doesn’t expire until 12/31/11.

They are in the database, so I’m not sure why they didn’t make it into the matchups.

My CVS had a stack of the new beauty magazines and next to them was a huge stack of just the coupon inserts from the magazine for free! So I took two (was so tempted to take more but I didn’t!) So check out your CVS and maybe you will get lucky and not have to buy the .99 magazine! There are over $50.00 worth of Q’s but my fav is a $3.00 off ANY Huggies diaper good until 12/31.

Why are there coupons listed that are NOT valid on the products? For example Jenny says use the Pine Sol coupon that plainly says 48oz+ on the 28oz which is WRONG!!!! The Rembrandt is NOT $3 it is $3 OFF REGULAR PRICE and the coupon is only $2. Everyone comes here reads this, prints the shopping list then proceeds to argue in the stores with cashiers because it is in black and white.

I do my own planning and finding coupons when the ad comes out on Thurs. I come here to see if there are hidden or unadvertised deals that customers have found but you have to go thru too many posts about why doesn’t this work or where is this coupon.

Why not subscribe via email to the thread so then you get them a few at a time in your email and then you can read them and delete without having to actually visit the thread and sort through so many posts in one sitting? Errors I can live with, listing a coupon that is not valid because of size restrictions is what I had an issue with and like I said before I have tried bringing it up politely and was still bashed.

Steve I could be wrong but I think I read somewhere that the coupons are entered into a database which in turn auto-matches to the sales when they are entered at a later date. They auto-match based on the name of the product, meaning that when the computer sees “pine-sol” all coupons out there for that particular product show up regardless of size or quantity. This is why you sometimes will see a coupon listed for an incorrect size, etc. It would be impossible for Jenny and her team to catch every one of these inconsistencies. Jenny has been clear on numerous occasions to always make sure to follow the exact wording on the actual coupons. I have seen other websites out there who are not nearly as ethical.

Anyone who is arguing with cashiers obviously hasn’t been using this website for very long. I can see how this could be frustrating to you, however, I don’t see how it could be avoided. You stated earlier people tend to believe everything they read, but they also believe what they want to believe. I work in customer service and have found that some people believe that if they argue they will get their way whether they are right or not. Possibly they feel that since they have something on paper they can use this as “proof” to intimidate the cashier into giving them the price they want.

This post is not intended to criticize, though you original post did come across as rude, whether you meant it to be or not. This is purely another perspective to the issue.

How about you obtain your own copy of the ad and figure it out for yourself every week, then? This site has been invaluable to me on my couponing journey. If you can’t take what’s provided and make it work for you, then that’s a real shame. Show a little appreciation! If there’s a mistake, by all means, mention it so others can be aware. We’re all here to help each other out. However, Jenny is incredibly busy, and she has her own life to attend to. She’s not going to be able to hold your hand every step of the way. If a mistake on the coupon match-ups gets you this upset, then maybe you should just take a step back and get your priorities straight. In any case, keep the ridiculous entitled attitude to yourself!

The prices in your Walmart and mine are not the same, so I don’t even bother PRINTING the list. But I do check it to see what might work. I used two of the Covergirl coupons for $8 off 2 face and got them for next to nothing (the blush was 4.23 in my area). The CVS is pretty darn close (except ours don’t stock very well for it). It’s all a big help, so THANKS!

The same coupon can vary by region my coupon for where I live might be $3 off and yours might be $3/2. I may have a coffee coupon in my flyer that you don’t. It varies. Everything here is a general guideline. For the most part it will always be 95% accurate.

Because Jenny has to be PC for PR reasons. The rest of us, on the other hand, don’t have to be so nice when someone posts a comment with ALL CAPS which indicates yelling and generally being rude. If you’re getting behind someone who isn’t getting it right because they don’t realize they have to do some work on their own (and that this site isn’t the end all and be all for an ad) then why not offer to HELP THEM understand? And when people say “do it yourself” it’s because noone should “come here and say what they want to say” when they aren’t doing half the work that she does to help them save money. There is a nice way of letting Jenny know that there is an error and there is a rude unappreciated way. The latter is what was used in this situation and there is no way that Steve can deny that with the attitude eminating from his post.

Did everyone get a 5dollar coupon in the mail for a 5 dollar gift card when you go “meet” the pharmacy staff? Well, I did, and I thought it was for IF you do a new prescription. I was at CVS yesterday and watched as a woman went to the pharmacy counter and merely asked a question about the cost of a med, then whipped out her coupon and got a 5 dollar gift card. WOW, I almost threw mine away. I’m definitely going to go meet the pharmacy staff.

i have met my pharmacy staff, and they seem to be quite nice. i don’t use their pharmacy because on MORE than ONE occasion (practically every time i took a prescription in there), they either didn’t have the meds (had to order) or only 1/3 or 1/2 of the number of pills prescribed. I didn’t find out until i went back to pick up the prescription (no phone call to let me know). that meant a 2nd trip to get the prescription. they could send me a coupon for $50 to meet their staff, and i still wouldn’t use their pharmacy.

There used to be tons of offers for car test-drives at dealerships. Most of the time, if you tell them you’re there for the offer, they don’t bother with the actual drive. I think they make these offers are so you can be aware of their products.

Actually you have to look for the harvest bags I believe. I had the same issue last week with the m+m deal. They do have the m+m pretzels in the harvest bag for 2/$5 deal if you can find them, they were in a different area, by the front of the store.(The ones that did not have the harvest scene on the bag did ring up for 4.19 at my store too.) They were out of the harvest bags last night at my store, so the clerk there told me they would substitute the regular bags that were on sale for $2.50, so that I could get the $5 ECB when you buy $12, and she would just print the $5ECBs. So, I ended up getting the $5 ECBS from last week, and the $3 ECBS for this week. Also, I had 3 of the .50 off from the red machine and (5) the $1.00 off for 5 bags, and ended up paying $6, and getting back $8 in ECBS. $2 money maker!!! I love CVS!!!

My CVS is saying that now to recieve ecb’s, for instance on the Gillette deal, you have to spend $30 AFTER coupons!! I saw this happen to the man ahead of me in line today. He had $30 worth of razors and then handed over the coupons. At the end of the transaction, he didn’t get his ecb’s and the clerk said he didn’t spend $30 because of the coupons! I asked about it when it was my turn in line and she said it was new policy?? Any one else heard anthing like this??

Sounds like a call to Corporate Customer Service is in order. I was just in the store yesterday and got all of my ECBs without issue (Austell, GA on EW Connector for those of you in the area) based on the before Q total. Not including my cigarettes (yes I know – please don’t flame me) I actually made $4 on the transaction after getting ECBs back.

Hey Chris, you’re pretty much an expert, so I have a question. I went today to get the $5 ECB on a $10 Sensodyne purchase. The ECB didn’t print (the cashier and I think it was because I picked up one of the wrong ‘flavors’), but he just printed one for me anyway, which was nice. However, when I got home, I noticed that the ECB he printed me has a different EC card number on it — not mine. I think he just scanned the one they have at the register for people who don’t have cards. Is this going to be a problem for me when I try to use the $5 ECB with my card?? I’m thinking it will be an issue…..

When they have to manually print an extrabuck it doesn’t always match the card. It might beep but just point out to the cashier that it was a manually printed extrabuckbecause it will say at the top something along the lines of “we’re sorry your bucks didn’t print” or something like that. I am a cvs cashier and also an avid couponer so trust me, you should be ok.

Yeah I was going to say the same thing but I would also add that if you have trouble you could call Corporate Customer Service and explain what happened and they can probably just attach the ECB to the correct card OR have it print again specific to your card when you next scan at the coupon machine.

I had this happen when I switched cards (they sent me a new one as part of my company benefit program – I get 20% off all CVS-brand stuff now with that card). I had a $1 ECB still left from the original card and they said they tried but the system wouldn’t transfer it so it was just gone. Thankfully it was just $1!

That always happens when they manually print an ECB, the computer drops the last digit from your card number. If you look it will match the numbers before that and it will not beep when you use it.

I figured it was a mistake but I hate to be confrontational and if my ecb’s don’t print when I go later today, I’m gonna have to insist to see that “new policy” in writing. :)

My ECB’s didn’t print for the Gillette deal, I’d purchased a Gillette fusion razor for $12.99 and a packet of Gillette fusion blades for $18.29. I noticed on the bottom of the receipt where it keeps a running total for the deals that it’d only counted the razor towards the deal. Showed it to the cashier and she happily printed out my ecb’s for me. sometimes the computer at cvs can be a bit touchy – the Gillette deal was one of three deals today that rang up wrong for me!

On the sensodyne deal – you can actually stack the coupon from the reinventing beauty magazine with the printable $1 coupons. The Q in the mag is for $5 off $10 worth of glaxo oral products. I was able to buy 4 sensodyne’s with 4 $1 Q’s and 2 $5 Q’s and get my $10 in ECB. After tax & the 2 mag’s its a slight money maker.. but even making less then a dollar on 4 products is good by me :)

The mag has reese witherspoon on the front and its only .99 so its definitely worth it. We found it at the front of the store near the registers. If anyone has a problem combining this Q with the Man Q’s just flip to the front of the coupon part it specifically states these are CVS Store Coupons.

the way i understand these coupons is the $5/$10 is a manQ but it attaches to the price ($10+) and the other manQ’s $1/1 and $1/1 attach to the individual items.

Hmm.. Im trying to figure out if the diapers is a great buy. I have one of the CVS coupons, it printed at the machine for me. And with the saving star I can get $5 off each one. Soooo…. if only I could remember what the regualer price is in the store. Im thinking Like $11? So That would make them like $3.25 a piece :) Hopefully that’s right, Im not a huge fan of the slip on diapers, but I’ll get over it for that price!

I got these yesterday and used two $3.00 off mfg coupons that were found in the cvs beauty invention book and the $3.00 off that printed at the machine so I got two bags for diapers for 8.97 which I thought was a great deal. My CVS let me use the $1 off of 1 sparkle paper towels 6 big rolls on the 8 count that is on sale this week, I think the coupon came out within the past two weeks.

Also, in the store and in my sales ad, I can’t find anywhere where it says this deal – $1 ECB WYB (4) Keebler Crackers, Nabisco Cookies or Crackers, 4-8 oz, $1.25 ea. LIMIT 1

All the CVSs in my town only honored the Gain and Tide LIQUID detergents last week at the sale price and not the POWDER. I found this out trying to use my $2 off Tide and Gain powder coupon. Was told this was regional…Apparently, that included the CVSs in my town. So disappointed.

Last week I got a $3 off covergirl mascara coupon from the coupon machine. This week I got a $3 off $10 beauty purchase. So yesterday I bought CG mascara and CG lip gloss which were each 7.49. I used the $8/2 CG products from 10/2 PG and both CVS coupons. I was only out of pocket a little over $1 for both items!!

I did the same thing but bought 4 products, using 2 of the $8/2 CG coupons and combined them with a $4 off $20 sent to me by email! 1 mascara, 2 eyeliners, 1 lip product was just under $24 minus $4/$20, minus $3/$10 cosmetic, minus $3/CG mascara, minus 2 $8/2 equals $26 in coupons which leaves over $2 of overage for other products…YAY!!

I am new to CVS shopping and need some help. I just went to my local CVS and bought 2 Sensodyne toothpastes for $5.99 each. I had $11.98 before coupons and $9.98 after using 2 coupons. for $1 on each item. I did not receive the $5 ECB for my purchase. The clerk informed me that it must be $10 total spent before tax. Is that right?

Usually the total in order to get the ECBs is before coupons. So if your total would have been $11.98 before coupons so you had enough to get the $5 in ECBs. See the DEAL IDEAl above. The after coupon total was $8.48 but before coupons was $10.48. So it would qualify for the ECBs.

It should list the product types it is good for. I just used one. Cosmetics, Ethnic Hair Care, Fragrances, Hair Accessories, Hair

Just bought 2 Cover Girl lip products @ buy 1 get 1 50% off. Got a lip stick @ $6.79 and a ‘gloss balm’ @ $7.49. The gloss balm didn’t trigger the 50% off promo, so the manager entered it manually. I had a 10% off beauty products coupon from joining the beauty club – since he entered one item manually, it only took 10% off the other. So he manually entered that discount. Also had $3/10 beauty products and $1×2 manufacturer coupon. OOP $4.39 including tax. Looking at the receipt – I think he took too much off. But didn’t realize it at the register, and a line was forming…

And once I got back to work, I remembered I meant to buy 3 birthday cards while there, and get the $3 ECB. Forgot all about it. Will need to stop back in CVS tonight or tomorrow. (Need one of the cards by Saturday.)
