Target is having some great sales this week but I just had the worst experience with them! Their cashier machines are slow and outdated and can’t handle all the coupons. I had over $300 of items and what should have been about $100 worth of savings with target mobile, cartwheel, sales and manufacturer coupons. At checkout my order keep freezing up. They would ring up my $300 order and then halfway through scanning coupons the computer would freeze. They had to keep starting over and re-ring up the order FOUR times on four separate machines because the cashier machine froze when scanning the coupons. If they are going to offer these deals their machines should be able to handle it. They offered me $70 in coupons to compensate but I added it up myself and it should have been about $100. The staff was nice–I blame the outdated machines! I’m so frustrated by this.

I always stress there too because there are just so many discounts to keep up with and make sure they’re ringing through. I feel terrible when a line is behind me! Cartwheel hasn’t been working lately either, they’ve had to manually input my % discounts even though the cashier and I both checked the details to make sure the items were correct.

I experienced the same thing, but it was my digital coupon that didn’t take instead of Cartwheel (computer thought it was a payment method). As Monica stated, the cashier was very nice, but it seems the computers are not able to handle all the types of discounts. I’ll stick to my easy & friendly Publix!
