Walgreens Logo

There are some changes happening at Walgreens this week.  This Sunday will mark the start their new program called Balance Rewards. You might want to go back and read my earlier posts on the basics and fine print details of the program if you missed those earlier.

I still managed to get a pretty decent scenario below.  The catch is that you have to wait until later in the week to do the third transaction because it will take 3-5 days for your Balance Rewards from transaction #2 to load to your account. Or you could wait and use them next week to use on your first transaction.  What do you think about their new program?

Im gonna be so confused for the first couple of weeks. Thanks Wags for these great deals and Jenny for the breakdowns I might just stick to the first transaction and then figure out the other later

    • Reg64

I think I will just price match at Walmart and forget it.  I don’t need another card to carry around.

      • workaholic

FYI, you can choose cardless option and use your phone number. You then just type in your phone number at the debit pinpad when you checkout.

    • Reg64

FYI  i just spoke with one of their reps and according to Gwen they expect register rewards to go away by the end of Oct.

      • workaholic

         their reps?

        • Reg64

I called the toll free# listed in the information on the new program.  Spoke with Gwen and was asking about the points system and RR…..she put me on hold when I asked would RR continue and she came back and stated they will be eliminated and it will be around the end of  Oct.  I will be just price matching at the local Walmart and doing the major drug store shopping at CVS…they are totally upfront and don’t try to make it seem better than it is in their store.

      • guest

no they are not. they will be FORSURE running until the end of december.

        • MarikB

That’s not what the manager told me today.  They said October…

    • Seymoretowns

now it makes no sense.  It will cost $_ _ _  after points, so how much are the pts worth?

      • MEL

It is my understanding that 1000 points = $1, however I think you have to have a minimum of 5000 points to use it.  that is how I understood it.

        • workaholic

When you earn 5000 points you earn $5 on your card. I’ve been looking at the fine print. From looking ahead at the ads, the points are pretty generous on items that are on sale for good prices and possibly have MFR coupons available. Also prescriptions qualify and immunizations as well.

          • Khjbcoupons

so are my points automatically credited to my oop once i make another purchase 3-5 days later.. i wouldnt like that.. i would like to control when my points are applied to my oop

            • Parker

I used some of my points and you can use them in $5 amounts.  I used my points immediately after I earned them. This is not automatic the cashier has to tender the points.

      • Khjbcoupons

thats my point in my earlier post.. i prefer to have a REALLY good idea as to my oop when i check out.. having to pay so much more than expected is frustrating.. finally realized i had to ignore the last line in her description of the item which says something like.. free after rr. or free after points… would like to see her formatting change to have a line that give the actual oop for the item and then a line that gives the price once the rr and points are figured in..

    • Leah

What is this points thing all about? Very confusing.  I’ll probably stick with CVS for the most part….

    • guest

I hope it gets easier to understand but I really dont like the points concept – especially if you need a minimum to use anything.  I’d rather have 25% off my makeup vs. 1,000 points.

    • workaholic

I’ve been looking at upcoming ads in my store, the items that you earn points on are on sale prices as well. So if your already going to buy these items on sale and use coupons, the points you earn are a great bonus. Example, the 24 pack water that is coming up on Sunday is the same sale price as it was a few weeks ago. The difference now is that you will earn 500 points when buying it. I can’t wait till Sunday to start earning on things I’d already be purchasing anyway.

    •  HELP….I am so confused about the Kleenex deal. I was going to do the
deal this week with the multi packs but it seemed like a better “value”
to get the larger boxes next week but you have to buy 7 to get the
highest RR and the limit says 3???????

    • Nona

RR were hard enough to deal with, but points are worse. I guess I am sticking to CVS only! ECB are fool proof! :)

    • Melissa

This is Wags way to get rid of those of us who stand there and do 6 transactions, isnt it? I have been completely out of ROOM and I do not need anything anyways. Havent been there since July. I will keep an eye on opinions, but I am not excited. :(

    • ireneY

I was wasting so much time finding fillers to even out the q to merch count. Now they want you to remember a card with points? Cvs rewards you with easy and fun deals. Wags punishes you with complicated rules and usage. Haven’t seen a deal good enough to hop back on the crazy ride!

      • guest

its going to be simple. everything shows up on your receipts (points you earned in the trans and overall points) and its like kroger, you dont have to have your card….all you need to know is your phone number……

has anyone tried the brachs coupon? i was noticing the coupon states “not valid on holiday products”

      • Freestuff4cb

I used it this week on the 12 oz bags with no problems.

    • Sweetcatmom

I like the new Balance Rewards program. The points don’t expire like register rewards and you can bank your points, if you so desire. You get points for prescriptions: 500 for 30 day scripts and 1500 for 90 day. If you get a flu shot between Sept,16 & Oct.31, you get 1500 points. Yes, it is different but I think if you give it some time, you will learn to love it.

      • hberry

wow, do you work for Walgreens/

      • Khjbcoupons

i thought that points could not be acquired for perscripts and many other things.. rite aid has a point system in place that give you points for most script purchases as well as all other purchases however once you hit a certain level of points you get __% off you regulary priced items for the remainder of the year.. i like that better..

Publix is offering a $5 gift card for getting a flu shot thru 9-30.  If your insurance covers the shot it’s a mm to be vaccinated!!!  :)
Not sure yet about the points system…I won’t bash it until I try it, but I will say that wags has lost most of my sales to CVS already!

      • Kaoscasa

yea, but if you are like my family and RARELY have prescrips then that is not a great incentive.  I’m not sure I’ll like this. But will try to think of 1000 as $1 when I decide on the true cost.

        • Judy

Also can not get any points for prescriptions if you are on medicaid, medicare, or any other government insurance program, the very people who would need the points the most, the poor and the elderly.

    • Pinkladyalley35

I understand why Walgreens would want to stop people from doing 6 transactions at a time and causing long lines. But they aren’t just punishing those shoppers. They are also punishing shoppers like myself who are so polite that I walk around the store in between EVERY transaction as to not overwhelm the employees or cause long lines behind me.

      • guest

they are not punishing the people who do multiple trans. they are trying to make a better rewards program. too many people abused the RR and it was troubling for everyone overall. (yes i love the RR) but still, dont knock it until you try it. everyone is hating on it and it hasnt even started yet….

        • Luci

I’ve never been thrilled with RR. I shop infrequently with Wags because of the certain items I’d need with in a given time frame and I have to keep in mind which manufacturer the RR is so I don’t try to use it on the same company’s product along with any MQs. Also with accumulated points, I tend to forget about them and the store. So for such a type of shopper, it is fewer savings up front.

        • Luci

I am not knocking it either but I am not impressed with the concept. I have to drive 20 miles to the nearest Walgreen’s. Going back in the middle of the week to complete a transaction defeats the purpose of saving money by using coupons. I have enjoyed Walgreen’s for the past 18 months but I used to enjoy Rite Aid also. Will probably get to Walgreen’s as much as Rite Aid now– maybe once every four to six months. Not worth the hassle. My measly couple of thousand a year is nothing to thier bottom line!!! :0

        • guest2

          • katie

why would you need to go back in the middle of the week? points are instant

            • Guest

No, points are not instant. It can take 3 to 5 days before they show up on your card, plus you have to accumulate 5000 before you can use any points at all.

            • Parker

              I used my points immediately!

      • sjgsjg

        I do that too!

      • DaVida

Walgreens are just economic “haters!” I don’t think it is as much of a “punishment” than it is “loss of revenue.”  They shouldn’t be upset that a lot of coupon shoppers (like myself) had figured out a strategy to maximize our savings with their “silly” RR concept!

    • Hope

I predict they’ll change the point values. Nobody wants to think of thousands of points. Since 1,000 = $1 it would be so much easier to accrue it using monetary values!

      • Aisha

I totally agree with you! It just makes it frustrating for the consumer. Not that it’s that hard to switch your thinking to 1,000 = $1, but the regular consumer does NOT want to take the time to do that, especially if they’re just glancing at the WAGS ad or popping in for an impulse purchase.

      • Jessica_khork

the points have a fluctuating value, so how would that be possible?

    • Dezzybooboo

Will we still get RR’s if we use balance pionts to purchase RR items?

      • VP22

I am wondering the same thing. I know we can’t use balance points and get balance points on another item but I am curious about balance points to RR and RR to balance points.

        • Jessica_khork

          those still work

      • Parker

yes I did this yesterday.  If they continue with the RR and points it can be a good thing.  I bought the gillett razors today and used my 10RR to purchase the mitchum deodorant and water and received 12500 points.  I then used those points to more razors.  So far so good!

    • Tuckyblue2

anyone know how to get the biore coupon to print?

    • Tuckyblue2

anyone know how to get the biore coupon to print?

    • Khjbcoupons

i really dont like the way that you have the listings set up when it comes to showing us the final price on an item once the sales price and coupons are factored in..its a bit confusing when you see the bottom line of the entry that says that the item is “this wow price” after register rewards.. now that the point system is in place its even more confusing to see that the item is “this even lower price” after points. maybe its just me.. but i find it frustrating to try to recalculate the actual oop amount.. perhaps you could have an entry that is the oop price after sales prices and coupons.. then show the price of the item if the r.r. and points mir are factored in…

      • CouponCarly

it really isn’t that hard to figure out the OOP w/o rewards factored in.  Jenny spends a lot of time and effort to provide you with this FREE service so it is not too much to ask that you put a little effort into making your list the exact way YOU want it…. just take that final “wow” price, multiply by how many items it includes at that price and add the reward value…. they were right in school when they said we would need to know this stuff :)

    • EL

I won’t bother to do that anymore. CVS is less complicated. Too darn many rules and hoops to jump through. Bye-bye, Wags

    • Ray

I’m going to cash in my last RR and I’m done too. It’s just not worth the headache!

    • Guest

I used to shop at RiteAid before they changed to a point system.  Haven’t there in a year.  Shopped at Walgreen’s and CVS.  Guess no it will just be CVS.  It is so much easier and they have better incentives overall.

      • Kaoscasa

Rite Aid is easy.  you are missing some good deals there.

    • peteyj

I know the new system is sort of frustrating but it might not be that bad. I am going to use my points that I earn to buy things with register rewards and rr to buy things with points.

      • DaVida

That’s what I think I’ll do, too, for a while unless it gets on my nerves, which doesn’t take much, because my nerves are bad any way, and the pharmacy prices are hideous compared to grocery store…

      • Arealwomanhere

BEST IDEA I HEARD SO FAR

    • Shopaholic_704

OMG!!! This point system thing is giving me a headache…I guess no more exciting trips to walgreens for me….   :((

      • april_IN_FL

Yeah..I don’t even feel like trying to find out what it means..I’ll stick to CVS.

        • Lyndacoupon

I love couponing, and I so agree. I’d rather just skip Wags rather than put in the effort.

        • Lyndacoupon

        • Wpatterns

I feel the same way.! I’ve been taking a Walgreen’s break and it feels good.

    • Stephanie

Wow.  I’m totally turned off by these points!  This is just way too much work to save a buck!  CVS is winning again!  Why doesn’t anyone understand the KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid!) method anymore….??

      • Katie

The points are way easier than rr…..you can use them to buy more items and don’t have to worry about #1. expiration dates. #2 making sure you don’t use a rr Q on the same item and not get another rr…plus the higher the points you get then faster you make more money…..since 40,000=$50!

      • redteapot

Because they don’t want us to save money.

    • b j

be careful of the prescription transfer deal.  if you covered by any federally sponsored program(my previous employer), you are not eligible.  says this in fine print at bottom of Q, but i missed it before i went to store.

    • Hopeskinner7

Question I have rr for Walgreens can I only use one at a transaction. Or can I use one per product?

      • Kelly V.

It’s one per product but it’s like a coupon so you can’t use a coupon and a RR for the same product.  I had a cashier yesterday tell me that she thought I could only use 4 RR’s per transaction now.  I had 5 RR’s but 7 items and no coupons for any of it.  I told her I hadn’t heard anything about that and could she go ahead and try it anyway, she did and it worked fine.  Don’t know where she got that info.

    • Pinkladyalley35

I have a question. Does anyone know what the limits are on like the Mitchum, Glade, etc.?

      • Catkamjen

The Terms & Condition indicates Walgreens reserves the right to limit Points awarded with respect to any offer or promotion to reasonable household quantities.

The Mitchum is on sale for $1.99 if you use the $0.75 coupon from the Sunday Paper you pay $1.24. You will receive 1,000 points which equals to $1.00.  It would be like paying $0.24 for each Mitchum.  5,000 Points $5.0010,000 Points $10.0018,000 Points $20.0030,000 Points $35.0040,000 Points $50.00

    • I am new to Walgreens, I have always been a CVS person, but IF I were to go into Walgreens this week and buy the Stride Gum, the coupon printed as “redeemable at Walmart”. It doesn’t say ONLY at Walmart. Will Walgreens give me a problem with this one?

      • lee

I just used a ‘redeemable at walmart’ Q at Wags yesterday.  I think as long as it doesn’t say ‘Only at Walmart’ it’s good anywhere.

        • Thanks. I have never had a problem before with other stores, but like I say, I haven’t been a Walgreen’s person. I have always heard they were the most difficult to figure out as far as the coupons and RR’s go.

Does anyone know if we can still use the AARP card too?

      • Arealwomanhere

        yes you can

    • SheSqueeks

They lost me. It was hard enough before=this is insane. Just bring back  the rebate program, before rr’s.

    • luv2shop

Oh, well too bad.  RR was good while it lasted.  I will be in and out of WAGs now in 5 minutes each week now just to buy my papers.

    • luv2shop

On a good note, a lot of my area WAGs are starting to take their clearance from 50% to 75%.  I found awesome deals on all kinds of food products and especially wines.  One deal even kicked in an unexpected $10RR from Kraft.  I felt like I won  the lottery!

      • DaVida

Hi, the $10 Kraft Catalina was at Kroger, too (last week), if you have one in your area; I felt so special getting all of the single cheese slices for free!

    • Lletich

The Brach’s coupon is NOT for $1.50 for 2, it is only $1.00 for 2.

      • VP22

Originally there were some for $1.50/2. I think that one ran outta prints.

    • lee

I signed up but don’t have a card yet.  How do the points get applied?  Thanks.
I have to admit that I am somewhat confused with this new program, since I have been a couponer for 20 years.  I think they should just do the rebates or something like CVS instead.

      • Bobbie

They can type in your phone number or if you have a smart phone you can get the WG app and it will give you a “card” on your phone to have them scan.

        • lee

          Thanks.

      • Twizlr369

You can have a card attached at the register when you go to the store if you wish to have a card or you can remain cardless.  AARP cards can also be attached to your Rewards account which will increase your points if you are a memeber.

    • momto2

So if I were to buy 4 packs of the ID gum instead of 2, would I get 2,000 points?

      • JPD

yes, i did it today…i ahvent done more than two of the same product for points but at least twice will work

    • Mdpetlover

Not surprised they went to this program because of so many wanting to do 4 or 5 transactions at a time.  The most transactions I have ever done at one time is 2 and that was if no one was in line behind me AND I only had a few items for the double transaction.  Still very rare I do 2 transactions. If several people were in line behind me I did one transaction, walked around the store, and then went back.  Would never do 5 or 6 transactions in a row even if someone wasn’t behind me. When people become greedy and push the rules they will change them to stop the madness.  This IMO about the changes in coupon policy at all stores….

      • Stephanie

I believe you can still do multiple transactions and get the points for it, if this is what you were talking about that is. I went in today and did two transactions, the first had the glade and stride and a few other things and the second transaction I bought another glade and another 2 stride products. I checked my receipt and I did earn the register rewards for the glade and stride twice. I think people will still do as man transactions as they used to, but I have yet to meet a couponer who has done 4-5 transactions while people were in line behind them. All the ones I have met were very polite.

        • redteapot

Me too Stephanie, have never been behind anyone doing that many transactions. Not that is doesn’t happen, but I can’t imagine that is why Walgreens changed their policy. I think it could be like all the other stores, they are making it harder and harder to coupon for savings. Not sure why since they get all the coupons back in $ from the manufacturers.

    • Whammy84

Bought 3 Glade Plugins Scented Oil Warmers for $4, used 3 $1 off coupons, so paid $1 and received 1000 points and 2 $1 catalina coupons from glade, so a $2 money maker.

I just got home from WG. I planned a small trip just to get the feel for it and it wasn’t painful at all. The Glade Expression $2.99 use $2/1 MQ was supposed to print $1RR, it printed (2) $1RR’s so it was a MM. The Mitchum $1.99, I bought 2 used the MQ $1.50/2, so $2.48 OOP and it earned double points for each one purchased (4000 = $4.00) so it will be a MM whenever I cash in those points. Times change and learning new things can be a pain, but in the end we all need to save a few $$$, so I’ll learn the system and work it to whatever advantage I can.

    • Miriam

My Walgreens @ Arlington, Green Oaks and Collins, is printing double RR for blistex AND glade mist starter kit!!!!   :)  Made a 1.50 profit!

      • asw0627

Thanks for the tip!  I’m trying to get there as fast as I can.  Hopefully the Walgreens in my area is too!

      • Wintergilbert32

did the same at my wallgreens in maiden nc:)

    • Mcleodsc

I tested the new system by shopping WITHOUT coupons or RR . The points for the Coke deal did not show up. The manager had to manually enter them on my card. Next time I plan on doing two seperate transactions-one using man. coupons and a second one using RR s. Be sure to check your rcpt. to make sure you are credited with the correct points.

      • Stephanie

the points will go through if you use coupons. I purchased stride gum and a few other things using my manufacturer coupon and register rewards from last week and received all of my points. I also did another transaction for 2 more stride gums, and I received my RRs for that as well.

        • Stephanie

excuse me, i mean my points for the stride. I got 1000 points from the first transaction and another 1000 in the second transaction

    • Pfamcoupons

The wags system in my area the points system is offline. So none of my three tranactions went through. They told me oh it will take three days. When i came back to pick up a missing item they told me the points system was offline.

    • kk_21

      (4) glade fragrance mist starter kit 2.99 each
      used
      (2) 2 off fragrance mist coupon
      (2) 1 off fragrance mist coupon peelies on product

      OOP = 5.96 + tax
Got back 8 RR ( 2 RR for each glade fragrance mist)

Register is printing 2 RR instead of 1RR

    • Laura_urestischmit

what a nightmare! I tried a different Walgreens and the staff was very helpful, but they could not answer many questions about the new card program. To make things worse, something was wrong with ALL of the registers and they could not issue a card for the points. They told me to try later and just show my receipt and that I would get my points; we will see. I still made out ok:
2 Glade mist starter kits 2.99 each
2 bags Brach Autumn candy .99 each
used (2)$2 MQ for Glade and (2) $1 so I spent 1.98 on a transferred RX gift card.. did in separate transactions so I have 2 RR..

    • Tammyphipps66

After you receive the points, when can you redeem them as cash toward your next purchase???

      • Ctry

the clerk told me you can redeem them whenever you want so obviously it is to your benefit if you shop at walgreens to wait until you have over 18000 when the benefit grows

      • Twizlr369

You can not redeem them on alcohol, dairy, tobacco, prescriptions, or gift/phone/green dot cards.  Any other merchanise is fine.

    • J4kaye7321

I used to shop at Walgreens more…but they make it very difficult to make transactions work.  You have to have an item for every coupon used, if you earn an RR, you cannot redeem it on something you earned it for….I only go for a couple things at a time, or else it becomes too difficult to make it work.   Havving said that, I needed cough drops yesterday, soI bouught two bacgs for three dollars, an and did this after the first transaction for the FREE blistex.   So I got the Blistex and two bags of cough drops for 3.00 total.   I may go back if I can find something else I need for cheap so I can get one more Blistex.

    • Yuleedoodledo

      so not happening

    • Mcleodsc

Nightmare at WAGS. I went back this morning to get the 5000 points that I did not get yesterday when I used my AARP card and bought over $25.  It took awhile for the manager to get someone on the phone to assist. I explained to the manager that yesterday the Coke points did not show up so the other manager did them manually. After about 10 minutes on the phone she was finally finished. Then she tOLD ME THAT THE PERSON ON THE PHONE SAID THAT THE MANAGER ENTERED THE POINTS MANUALLY YESTERDAY. dUH! i JUST TOLD HER BEFORE SHE CALLed that the other manager entered the points for the COKE deal manually yesterday.  She said they may show up in a few days -if not bring my rcpt back in and she would try again. So I called myself when I got home. After a long wait I explained twice then I was placed on hold for a supervisor. After another long wait I just gave up and hung up the phone!

    • Birgit Gilbert

does anyone have an extra Gilette Pro Glide Razor Coupon?

    • HAH91486

I was told by an employee at WAGS today that the card will be needed to get the sale price on products in store starting next week. I am assuming they are doing this so they can track purchases and limit rewards just like CVS or Rite Aid. I know a whole lot of people are complaining, but it really isn’t surprising that Walgreens decided to start tracking transactions when they realized that essentially “no limits” rewards were not in their favor. I am just wondering how this whole points system will work once they do away with RR. If you cannot spend your balance points on items that accrue balance points, then rolling rewards is not possible. Yes, it will be nice to have an extra $5 or $10 to spend in store, but if it cannot be used to purchase something that gives a reward, it really isn’t worth the time or money spent.

    • Ssom

I tried getting the 10000 pnts with the childrens benadryle and Zyrtec, but before coupons it was $34 and change and after coupons it was $27 and change. They said since the coupons put me under the $30 needed to get those pnts. I couldn’t get them. Is that accurate?

      • VP22

I don’t see how that’s true. I bought the 2 packs/$2 of gum to get the 1000 points. I used a bogo coupon which means my total was only $1 after coupon and it still gave me my points.

    • Myhopesutff

Wow!  I am so NOT liking this.

    • Catkamjen

I went to Walgreens on Sunday 9/16.  Purchase 4 24pack of Nice Purified Water on sale for $1.99 received 500 points for each one. Total points 2,000 like paying $1.49 each 24 pack.  Purchase 4 Mitchum Deodorant Flower Scent for $1.99 used $0.75 MFG Coupon received 2,000 points for each one. Total points 8,000; DEODORANT FREE. Purchase 4 ID gum on sale 2 for $2.00 used B1G1FREE MFG Coupon received 1,000 points for two. Total points 2,000; GUM FREE.  Total Paid out $16.15. Total Points received 12,000. I currently can redeem $10000 points today for $10.00 that means technically I purchase all of these items for $6.15 if not less because I do have 12,000 points.

      • Jordyn’s mommy

It is sooo confusing now, but I have a hard time seeing it that if you count your points earned then you only spent $X amount because when you go to redeem them  you can’t get more on that transaction therefore essentially wasting money at WAGS and not being able to roll rewards.  WAGS is expensive as a rule without the RR’s or points so if I have to buy something like that then I am getting ripped off, right?  Ugh, I hate this!!!

        • Rea

If they have a good deal you can always get it and the use your RR at Walmart for grocery’s. Unless Walmart has changed that.

The point system will change each week on different items throughout the store. There maybe something with points that you will buy next week and so on. Nothing really has changed if you think about it. For example the Mitchum has alway’s been on sale for $1.99; but usually you get a $1.00 RR; now you get 2,000 points but it changed yesterday to 1,000 points.  I think Walgreens found out they were losing money on this one.  The only difference is the points are being banked till you hit a 5,000 for your 1st redeem if you choose to do so. The old way you would use the $1.00 RR on another item and that item may print a RR and you would use that RR on another item so on. Walgreens stop this type of situation. I’m sorry you feel you are wasting money; but I don’t think so when you start doing the math. If you can find it cheaper somewhere else then go to that store. CVS customers are coming to Walgreens. You can get points for prescriptions, photofinishing, walk to walgreens etc.

Will you earn the points on multiple purchases of the same item? Example this week buy 2 id gums get 1000 points if I bought 40 would I get 20000 points?

      • tmaye

yes, but 40 packs is a little excessive don’t you think?

        • CTB

i think they were just trying to illustrate a point, not buy 40 packs a gum.  at least that’s how i took it.  they asked the same question i was going to.

          • Cwhoyt86

I surely hope so, but wouldn’t be the first time someone has bough in excess or cleared from this site.

            • Freemn4

They may be giving it away on Halloween.

            • Mcleodsc

What store would have 40 of any item???

            • Terichipman

              It’s gum.

Looking ahead in ads it does seem like they are slowly doing away with RR.  Guess I am not going to waste my time building up points seeing as it is pointless to.  If you cannot use points and earn points there is no rolling them.  I thought I might like this system since I would use points to earn RR and RR to earn points… but doesn’t look like that will happen.  Back to disliking walgreens.

    • Tuckyblue2

i’m not understanding how boire items work out to be .49 if items start at 7.49. help confused???

      • momof3

        buy 2 @ 7.49 = $14.98 – b1g1 coupon 7.49 = $7.49 – 1.50 coupon = pay $5.99 and get $5 back!

I was told again today at the store that the Register Rewards program will be ending soon.  They are trying to get the new program up and going good first and will phase out the Register Rewards.

    • Ther1033

      I rec’s 1000 when i used the $-1/1 wet&wild q and purchased 4 nail polishes for .99 off…

    • Hgharrison

Went to Walgreens and paid over $40 and in all would have had 10500 in points(10 bucks) Asked how many I had lady told me system was offline and she was not fully familiar with the system so asked me to go online. went online surprise ….no points!!! I am calling tomorrow to see what to do. But am I the only person this happened to?

      • Catkamjen

Sometimes it can take 3-5 day’s for the points to show up.

      • Hollybp

Sign into your account on Walgreens dot com and there is a place to add points if you forgot to use your card/# in the store!

    • MarineWife5

The store manager at my Walgreens said he ordered too many boxes of Blistex so he was allowing costumers to make multiple transactions & take advantage of the RRs! I got 5 Blistex, that’s $10 in RRs & I can use those for the Glade Expressions and Dentek. Good day :)

    • Mcleodsc

Okay I have over 40,000 points. Can I redeem $5 at a time or do I have to redeem $50? Confused on the redemption!

      • TLMcoupon

I have been wondering the same thing.

      • Dd

You can redeem them $5 or $10 at a time. My total was $7 something so of course I didn’t use my 10000 points, redeemed only 5000 which is $5. Very easy, just tell them how much you want to redeem.

    • Dandy

I work at Walgreens and so far we have not heard anything about them doing away with the reg. rewards as far as I know they are in the next 2 weeks ad, they are not going put in the ad points & reg. rewards on one item. The rewards card starting sept 30th if you do not have a card you won’t get the sales price. I can say when signing up customers or ringing up those with points the system has been going offline at random. You can choose to use your $5 off or wait until you reach whatever $10….$50. If you didn’t get your points while it said it was offline you can wait 3-5days (thats what our computer screens says when it goes offline) or go on the Walgreens website and put it in.
