What is the vocal point mailer?

      • jennifer

hi…vocal point is a website where you sign up (see southern savers home page under freebies and deals) and receive proctor and gamble coupons and information about their products…also you might be given a chance to try one of their products…they give out awesome coupons! i would highly suggest signing up!!! just click on jenny’s link on this site! hope that helps…

      • Tausha

It’s great! Sign up at vocalpoint.com. You will have the opportunity to try and review products. Word of mouth marketing is the way now. They send awesome coupons and they always send AWESOME products to sample. Enjoy!

        • I tried signing up at Vocal point but they said I didn’t qualify. Is it because I don’t have kids, perhaps?

          • Patty Brennan

Wouldn’t let me sign up ether and I have 11 kids.

          • Jess

It is not whether you have or do not have kids, its how you answer the questions. You need to answer that you like to learn about new things, that you do research before before making a major purchase, and that you like to hear others opinions about products.

            • Chrissy

I qualified probably because I answered the questions the way Jess suggested.
              I haven’t recevieved any Q’s yet…although it’s only been a couple of weeks.
I guess it takes some time?

      • Robin L.

Not sure if anyone has matched up this deal or not with CVS, but this week they have Ivory Bar Soaps .99 a pack, there is a coupon in this sunday’s newspaper P&G for 1.00, which will make it FREE !!!

        • sara

Thanks for the heads up on that one…got 4 packs FREE today with that tip.

    • Jen

I can’t figure out how to get the Alli coupon. Any help would be appreciated.
      Jen

      • Jenny P

I can’t find the Alli either and I need it for my New Years Resolutions! Anyone know how to get this coupon? Anyone have any experience with using this product?

        • Unless you’re going to stick to the Ali guidelines precisely, you are going to have trouble with this product. Do some research before you buy. If you think you can cheat and have a little extra fat just once, look out — you will have a gastrointestinal mess to deal with!

      • Chrissy

I didn’t try this, but saw it on another site:
Register, Create diet program, Select “have not purchased yet”
Then you should get your Q.

    • Theresa

I wasn’t able to access the Poland Springs water coupon. Any ideas???

      • Tina

The Poland Springs coupon campaign is over.

    • emma

I am new to couponing, and need some help. If you have a $1 off coupon for an item and you get 3 of those items is it $1 off of 1 of them. If you have 3 of the coupons can you use all three at the same time? Can most coupons be combined with other coupons for the same product? Like the colgate total above… you can use both coupons?

      • Erin B

You can use one manufacturers coupon per item. If you can use 3 coupons at the same time if you buy 3 items. Many stores will let you use 1 manu coupon and one store coupon together on a single item (“stacking.”). Rule of thumb, Manu coupons start with a 5 and have the manu’s address on them. Store coupons are printed by the store. Welcome to the world of couponing!

      • J White

Also with CVS if there is a limit of 1 then you will only get the ECB for 1 for that particular item per Extra Card card that you have.

    • sara

Anyone having trouble with the $3 Thermacare coupon not printing?? Mine is just sitting there saying it will print shortly.

      • D

        https://thermacare.wyethcoupons.com/pages/1

try this.. sign up and u should get it.

        • melissa

iused the link provided by the above poster and getting the same experience…

“Your coupon will be available on your default printer shortly. Please do not refresh the page as it may prevent a successful print.”

          • Jennifer Wilson

Mine said the same thing and I sat there for like 5 minutes, then saw that my printer cable had come unplugged… it printed as soon as I plugged it back up. When I hit my back button though it wouldn’t let me print a second one. Is that normal?

      • Laurie

Make sure that Java is enabled on your computer. I had the same issue with it saying it would print shortly. A friend said it was a Java issue. I enabled it, and it printed right away. HTH!

    • lynn

for those of you who shop using EBT/ foodstamps cvs now accepts this form of payment ..

    • D

looks as though thermacare has changed their coupon settings where only 1 coupon could be printed.. would have been nice to have 2. haha. Anyone else figure out how to print 2?

      • Cori

When my print screen showed up I was able to choose how many I wanted to print. Maybe it changed since I printed though.

      • kelli

I can’t get any thermacare coupons to print. is there some secret to it?

      • Chris

I typed in my mother’s address on the second coupon. Then it finally let me print it.

    • Meme

I am still confused about the ECB rules. I had five transactions to do yesterday. At least two items were all gone, so I had to (as usual) go to an empty aisle and rework my transactions.

I was purchasing two of the Complete Lens Solutions and two Revlon lipsticks.

I was reeeeallly nice and let many people go ahead of me after each transaction, so I think I was being very considerate. So I was hoping for a little extra care with my transactions also.

I broke up my Complete to Trans #1 and Trans #3. The ECB printed on the first but not the second. The clerk warned me before the second transaction this would probably be the case. The same happened on the Revlon lipstick also.

I was careful not to use the ECB for the first item to pay for the second item, etc.

Some of my coupons weren’t accepted (Target Logo) but I needed the item so just hoped the ECB off the purchase made it a decent price.

Was there any way the clerk could have “forced” the ECB’s to print on the Complete and Revlon?

Thanks for any suggestions. Meme (PS – I really feel bad when they say to me “there are people who know how to do this and come in here and get their items for free”. Just puts salt in the wound, so if any store cashiers are reading here, please avoid these comments to us newcomers.)

      • Marc

The Complete Solution deal was limited to one per card, not one per transaction. You should have gotten the $9.99 ECB in the first transaction but you won’t get another. The revlon lipstick deal was a limit of three so you should have gotten $5 ECB for each lipstick purchased for a total of $10 ECB.

        • Meme

Thank you, Marc, that explains no ECB for the 2nd Complete. The Revlon lipstick is going back anyway because I purchased it for my daughter and she politely showed me it had been opened and the top was smushed (Southern saying) into the lid. I called the store immediately and the manager was really nice and insisted I bring it back at my convenience for a full refund or exchange. I don’t have a problem returning it since I didn’t receive an ECB for it.

I think in the future I am going to pull out of line and look at the receipt and ECB’s printed. Get my thoughts together and get back into line, fix the problem, then proceed with the next transaction and so forth.

          Thanks again, Meme

          • Carla

I have had to go to my car and pull out the receipt and double check everything. On 3 different occasions, I have walked back into the store with my receipt and the sales flyer and talked with the manager. ALL 3 times the manager has been able to print the ECB dollars for me. Once he even printer me more just for my trouble. You just have to double check and ask for the manager. I am always nice and say, “I hate to trouble you but I just don’t understand what happened with my receipt. I thought I was suppose to get EBC’s back, but I didn’t. Could you help me out here?” In my sweetest southern accent!

      • Ginger

Wow, no wonder you were hurt by what the cashier said. But was she trying to be mean, or just foot-in-mouth? If she wasn’t trying, just blow it off– we all say stupid stuff sometimes, and in a couple months, you should be a pro. Like Marc said above, you should have only gotten one ECB for the complete, but if I read you right, you should have gotten 3 for the Revlon. 2 in the first transaction, and the final 5$ on the 3rd transaction. If your ECB doesn’t print out, you should just politely point it out, and ask they to call someone who can fix it for you. If they won’t fix it, you can always ask them to refund your transaction and give back your coupons. (FYI- They don’t like that, and it may not make you any friends, but just keep being as nice as you can about it, and if you can show that you’re right, the manager can force an ECB. Like, you could have showed him/her your reciept from transaction 1, which should say at the bottom that you have used the Revlon deal twice.)

        • Meme

Thank you, Ginger. I am the world’s worse about the foot-in-the-mouth deal. I really hate going to funerals for this reason. I always say the wrong thing.

I talked pleasantly with the manager several times during my shopping, asking questions, etc. She made sure I understood to break up my transactions and not pay with the first ECB on the second purchase, etc. She was even watching the cashier most of the time she was ringing me up. One explanation I got for the lack of second ECB on the lipstick was because I had a coupon to use on it. That was before she even scanned it. She wasn’t thinking about the limit on the items. Somehow she knew I was going to have trouble with it and wanted to get out of fixing the problem. (That coupon didn’t work anyway so there went that explanation). That may be why the manager was nice when I called about the “smushed” lipstick about fifteen minutes later.

          Thanks again, Meme

          • Jennifer Wilson

I’m curious about the not paying for something with the ECBs from buying the first one… I didn’t think this was a prob at CVS. I thought that was a Walgreens thing. I don’t think I’ve ever had problems rolling my ECBs right there same day. Am I wrong about this?

      • Laurie

I wanted to mention that I had an issue with the Nexxus ECB printing a couple of weeks ago. The store in our small town doesn’t carry the Nexxus products, so I had purchased them while I was in another town about 30 minutes away. I didn’t realize until I got home that the ECBs hadn’t printed. I went online, entered all of my information including my EC card number, and explained what had happened. Within a couple of days I received a very nice e-mail saying they had reviewed my transaction and they were in error. They gave me a date and said that I could go to any CVS after that date and my ECBs would print with my purchase. It worked like a charm!
If you’ve checked and know that you’re within the limits, etc., they have no problem doing this for you. They can tell by tracking your EC card what you’ve purchased, so it’s not like you have to provide receipts and all. I find it to be a lot easier than having to explain it all to a store manager, especially if I don’t notice the mistake until after I’ve left the store.

    • Meme

Well, the bag tag information helped my feelings some. I was wondering why the cashier took the tag off my new CVS bag I purchased yesterday. I thought I was purchasing the thing to scan along with the bag. Okay, Just shoot me now!

      • Tisha

Hang in there Meme! There is a definite learning curve with this stuff. I made several dumb mistakes at first and thought about giving it all up, but it is worth it! You’ll get it!

    • Marc

The $1/2 Sunshine/Keebler coupon does not apply – it is for items 7.5oz or greater and the sale is on boxes 4.5-5.25 oz!

      • ACW

My local store isn’t showing the smaller sizes, but shows the 7.5-9oz CheezIts at 2/$5. HTH

    • kim

I just wanted to share that I was able to print 2 South Beach coupons 2 days ago and 2 again today. This is great for those of us with only one computer who need 3 coupons for this deal. It is also rare to be able to do this as it is a bricks coupon which normally only allows 2 prints.I hope this will work for others.

      • Shauna

Sadly the printable south beach coupons are for 6 packs and the ECB deal is for 5 packs so the coupons will not scan.

        • Chrissy

Oh :( And I just printed 2 Q’s out tonight. Should have read through all this first.

          • kim

I used 3 of these at cvs yesterday and 2 scanned. The cashier forced the third one through.

            • DeeAnna

I could not use the coupons for the South Beach bars because of the wording?? It said for meal bars not snack bars.I bought them anyway still a good deal to me.

    • Kim

      Plan for Sunday CVS.

      1 Gillette Fusion @ $8.99
      1 Filler $1.00

      $38.97 (not inc. tax)

      Use:
$5 off $30 from CVS quiz
$3.00 of two Pantene Products (advertised in our paper for P&G 12/27)
      $1.00 off two Old Spice
      $14.99 off Bayer Meter
      $1.00 Off Colgate Toothpaste
      $4.00 off Gillette Fusion

      Total due: $9.98

      Get back $14 ECB ($2, $1, $5,$2, & $4)

      $4.00 MONEY MAKER

(In our county, I will pay about $2.60 in tax, which will still leave me with a small profit and all the items for free)

      • Chrissy

I’m on dial-up so it’ about impossible for me to get the Medicare quiz to load :( Maybe I could do it at the library?

        I’m going to try this:
        2 Old Spice Deodorant @ $2.00 ea.
        1 Bayer Meter @ $14.99
        1 Colgate toothpaste @ $2.99
Plus some Dawn and maybe Kleenex. I have Q’s for everything.

        • kim

I am slso on dial up and can’t do the Medicare quiz but was able to do it at my library. They has extremely fast DSL.

          • Kim

Not sure what sales your CVS is running, but I had catalina q’s from last week and this week and was able to get Gold Emblem (CVS Brand) gingersnaps for free and two bags of Gold Emblem candy for a total of .50 for both.

If you are new to CVS, the catalina is the red machine in the store that you swipe your CVS card under and it prints out coupons. I missed out on a lot of deals when I started because I had no idea what this was.

            • Chrissy

Kim, yes I do scan my card at the price checker thing. I learned that on here. Went to the library and printed out the Medicare quiz $5/$30. My CVS employees are not coupon friendly except one younger girl who wasn’t there tonight. I got the older woman who scrutinized every single one of my coupons. Most were “real” coupons from today’s paper. Seriously? I had 1 IP for $1 off the toothpaste. Then, the quiz coupon *sigh* Her- YOU took a Meicare quiz? Me- Yeah, why? It’s on the CVS website. Her- Isn’t there an age limit? Me- Um, noo…does it say there is on the Q?. I was trying to be nice, but she always acts like I’m stealing or trying to do something fraudelent. Ugh…I heard her call the supervisor over as I was walking out – told her she needed check on this one(my $5 Q).
Sorry so long, but it’s such a pain. I have 1 card and don’t try to do anything “sneaky” so it’s so annoying.
I don’t care what they think…going to keep going there anyway and they have to take my Q’s.
              After using ECB’s and Q’s I paid $3.32 OOP (did 1 transaction)and got $5 ECB’s back:
              2 Old Spice Deodorant
              2 Pantene Shampoo
              2 Tampons (40 ct)
              2 Tampons (18 ct)
              1 Colgate toothpaste
              2 Ivory Soap (3pk)
              3 Dawn
              4 Kleenex tissues

    • sara

      Refunds question:

I purchased a Sonicare Essence toothbrush on Christmas Eve while it was on sale for $49.99. Used $10 off manuf coupon and $5 ECB’s (should have used $5 off $20 purchase too but i forgot). Anyway, returned it today because it would not take a charge. So, I got refunded the cash I paid, but started thinking later, should i have gotten my $10 coupon amount back as well? I got the $5 ECB for buying it, and a $5 off $15 purchase printed, so that evened out, but since they were out of the product I could not exchange it, now I have to try to find another one without having a $10 off coupon to use!

Too late now since it is done, but just something i was thinking about…

      • Sue

Yes, they should have given you the value of the coupon because they will be reimbursed for it by the manufacturer.

        • sara

Thanks. Luckily I found another $10 off coupon tonight. I went up there (there is only 1 anywhere near my house) and got a rain check for the sale price. So, maybe I will come out a little better since I will have some ECB’s from this week’s sales and remember to use my $5 off purchase coupon this time. Manager said he would make sure he got one in for me on the truck Wednesday. I got the toothbrush for my hubby for xmas just as a last minute item. Of course, now that he thought he was going to have one, he keeps asking for a replacement! lol

      • The Mentalist

You should have definitely gotten store credit for $10 coupon. The logic is that the store/CVS has cashed that coupon and can not return it to you. They cashed it because you presented the coupon to them that they otherwise could not have gotten. Since they can not return the coupon to you, and no way they will return the money to manufactires, they have to give you the credit. You may even raise this objection to the manager to educate them and so as these things do not happen again.

        • sara

Interesting…I will keep that in mind for next time.

      • Wendy

My question is along the same line. I purchased something a couple of weeks ago (using coupons) that produced ECBs. I returned it. The clerk “warned me” that I would not get my coupons back (duh) but I believe she did refund me the full price. HOWEVER, she asked if I had the ECBs that I earned from the transaction. I couldn’t lie and said yes. She made me hand them over to you before refunding me the amount. Was she correct?

        • sara

On my returned item I had used a $5ECB I had, but also earned a $5ECB from the purchase. I figured I evened out on that one. But, the manager doing the refund did not mention anything about it.

    • Ok folks, can you help this CVS newbie???

I want to get these items:

      CVS Weekly Ad 12/27-1/2

$2 ECB wyb Colgate Total Advanced $2.99 Limit 1
-$1 off Colgate Total Advanced Toothpaste, 4 oz+, Dec. or Jan. All You Magazine
      (makes it FREE) Delete
$5 ECB wyb Bayer Contour $14.99 Limit 1
-$30 off Bayer Contour Meter, RP 10/25 (make $5 profit!) Delete
$5 ECB wyb Abreva Cold Sore Treatment Limit 1
-$3 off Abreva RP 12/13 Delete
$4 ECB wyb (2) Thermacare Heat Wraps (Excludes 1ct) at $6.99 ea Limit 1
-$3 off any Thermacare printable (makes it $1.99 ea) Delete

I have 10 ECBs right now.

Any way I can work the deals to pay nothing OOP?

Or if not, how can I pay the least OOP???

      I also have a $5 off $15 that expires in 12/27.

I am annoyed at CVS and myself because I bought some abreva yesterday as I am almost out!!! I plan to return it and buy it again…

      • Heather

        Melissa,
This is assuming that you have all of these coupons… I would start off using your $10 ECB’s as well as the $5/$15 & purchase all of it. I am not sure how much the Abreva is but you are around $6 before the Abreva as well as the $5 off $15. Hope this helps!

        • Heather

Also remember to use the $5 off $15 coupon BEFORE any of the other ones.

      • Chrissy

How much does the Abreva cost?
W/out knowing the cost of it, I would buy everything else on your list. Should be $31.96 (before tax) use the $5/$15 and other Q’s to get to $4.97. Pay with the ECB’s you have – get $11 ECB’s back.
Then buy the Abreva I guess if it’s something that’s expensive?

        I think that’s right. lol
        I’m new to CVS also.

        • Chrissy

I got the $4.97 total if you have 2 of the Thermacare Q’s.

        • melissa

The abreva is expensive – $17.99 here.

But I was trying to figure a way to bring the cost down.

          I have a $3Q, plus it has a $5ECB this week…

I wish I had more than one of the $5 off $15 Qs…so I could combine it with the $3 abreva Q.

      • Kristen

        Melissa,

Not sure if you have already made your trip to CVS or not but here are the transactions I would break yours into:

        Transaction #1

Buy: Abreva Cold Sore Treatment $17.99
        Use: -5 of $15
        -3 off Abreva Q
        Total Due: $9.99 + Tax
Use: 9.99 in ECB (ask your cashier to adjust your 10ECB to 9.99ECB)
        Total Due: Tax
        Get Back: 5 ECB

        Transaction #2

        Buy: Bayer Meter $14.99
        Use: -14.99 off Bayer Meter
        Total Due: Tax
        Get Back: 5 ECB

        Transaction #3

Buy: 2 Thermacare at $6.99 each
        1 Colgate Total $2.99
        Use: 2 -3 off Thermacare Q’s
        -1.00 off Colgate
        Total Due: $9.97 + Tax
Use: 9.97 in ECB (ask your cashier to adjust your 10ECB to 9.97ECB)
Get Back: 4 and 2 ECB

        Total Value: $32.98
        Total OOP: Tax
        Get Back: 4 and 2 ECB’s

        • I havent been yet – thanks!!!

          That is awesome.

How long before I can work out deals like that???

          • kristen

I’ve been doing cvs for almost two months. I seem to have picked it up rather quickly. I started figuring everything out in excel and now I can put them together in my head. I’m glad I could help, I think it’s fun figuring out transactions.

    • Rebecca

I am confused about the month long Clipless coupon deal for the Complete contact solution. I went to CVS a couple days ago and their Complete solution was listed for $10.49, which is not the same price as is listed on Southern Savers. Also, it was not advertised as being a Clipless coupon deal. I am new to doing CVS, so I’m not sure what is going on. Should this deal still be effective thru December 31??

      • Yacoomba

It should be…your store may be out of the clipless coupon book (usually next to the circulars each week) that shows its the money maker deal. I bought some around the first of December and had no problem, go the money back in ECB’s I paid for it.

    • Yacoomba

If you need soap for free the Ivory is on sale for $0.99 and there’s a $1.00 coupon in the P&G for Ivory, Zest, or Safeguard. Even if you don’t use this brand you could always donate it. :-)

      • LindaB

Do you remember the date of the P&G insert?

        • rydergal

Should be coming in today’s paper…12/27

        • Yacoomba

Yeah it’s today’s paper, in the CVS circular it says $0.99 w/ card but when I went into the store it still had the regular price of $1.29 or $1.29. I picked it up anyway because I had the circular in hand if there was a dispute and got it for free. I was also able to get a travel size Lysol disinfectant for free too because I had a $1.00 off any size (sweet deal) . :-)

    • Shelley

I am having trouble printing the colgate coupon above… it’s telling me “unknown error”… any suggestions?

    • Ginger

      My CVS trip Saturday night:

      4 Revlon lipsticks
      1 Nivea Bodywash
      1 Dawn dishwashing liquid
      1 Almay mascara
2 Cascade dishwashing liquids, 75 ounce!
1 Complete lens solution with lens case
1 Energizer battery charger with 4 rechargeable batteries included

      Total OOP- $15.53
      Total non-sale, non-coupon retail value- $95.39
Went in with 7 ECBs, left with 10 ECBs.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Thanks, Jenny!

PS- I did have one odd thing happen– on the Revlon BOGO, the cashier would only let me use 2 of the Revlon coupons for my 4 lipsticks, not 4. I’ve used 1 per each item before on BOGOs. What’s up with that? New policy, or was she just wrong?

      • Sherry

I think it all depends on the cashier you get. Sometimes they will allow me to use two Qs when buying two BOGO items, and sometimes they will tell me that they aren’t allowed to take a Q on the Free item, so I can only use one Q on two BOGOs. I try to go to the stores that have cashiers that won’t give me a hard time about it.

        • Ginger

          Thanks!

    • Marc

Natures Bounty is a money maker this time around – CVS allows one coupon per item with B1G1 sales!

      My trip this morning:

      4 x Natures Bounty B1G1 (D-400 and Potassium) = $9.98
      3 x South Beach Bars = $10
      2 x Pantene = $7
      1 x Colgate = $2.99
      1 x Ivory 3 pack = $.99

      -$5/30
      -4x$2 off Natures Bounty
      -3x$1 South Beach
-1x$1/2 Pantene (used my $3/2 at Rite Aid)
      -1x$1 Colgate
      -1x$1 Ivory

      Total = $13.46
      Used 2x $3.98 ECB, 1x $4 ECB and $1.5 OOP (tax)
      Got $6, $5, $2, $2 ECBs – $1.5 Money Maker

      • Ashley

I don’t see how Nature’s Bounty is a moneymaker. The coupon is for Nature’s Bounty “Your Life”. The cheapest vitamins are $4.99 w/ B1G1, and they are not “Your Life”.

I got the D-400 for $4.99 B1G1, and only 2 bottles had $1.00 coupons on them.

        • Marc

If you become a member of their rewards program, you can print out 2 $2/1 coupons. Sign up yourself and spouse and you get 4 coupons! Should have mentioned that!

    • Jennifer

there is a $3 off (2) pantene items in this sundays paper. if you match it with the pantene deal you can get both for $1 each.

    • Sherry

Just wanted to let you know that the Poland Springs water Q is on longer available : (.

    • melissa

So I went today and did these transactions:

      1 bottle contact solution, 9.99
      1 candy bar as filler
used $1 Q for contact solution
Paid using 9.99 ECBs from last week
      Got back 9.99 ECB

      bought contour meter, 14.99
      used 14.99 Q
      got $5 ECB

      bought 2 thermacares 6.99 each
      bought 1 colgate 2.99
      used 2 $3 qs (thermacare)
      used 1 $1 q (colgate)
      used a $5 off $15q
      total was $4.97+tax

      paid with $5 money card
got back $4 ECB, $2 ECB

      bought abreva, $17.99
      used $3q
paid with $5ECBs and $9.99 ECBs (from above)

      got back $5 ECBs

I left the store with all the above products, plus 12ECBs and cash. I will explain…

On Friday I purchased Abreva with ECBs and a gift card (I needed it and had no idea about these deals!!!). Before doing any of the deals today, I returned it. The manager couldnt get the machine to cooperate so she gave me part back in cash and part back in a gift card! That part made my head spin.

So I walked out of the store with:
      -contact solution
      -bayer meter
      -2 thermacares 3packs
      -colgate
      -abreva
      -12 ECBs
      -cash (~$13)

Note: 1 of the ECBs I earned for having the green tag.

    • melissa

so, for those of you who bought the contour meter today to ge the $5 ECBs…what are you doing with the meter?

i have no use for it…

      • Ginger

        My suggestions:
give to a medical clinic nearby, if you have one
        give to Goodwill/charity
ask friends and familly. With the rising incidence of diabetes in the US, you will know someon who can use it.

Some people Ebay them– look on Ebay, you’ll see people selling them for next to nothing.

        • Suzanne

You can check out a website called http://www.isletsofhope.com as they will provide those meters and diabetic supplies to those in need.

      • mary

I also donate the contour meters to schools – sometimes their nurses need them for students whose families can’t afford them – and sometimes the nurses need them there in the schools

      • avenlee

I have given a few to my local Goodwill and was told by them that although they appreciate the donation, it’s really the strips, themselves, that they could use. The meters that we are getting are basically just the meter, it’s the strips that are in high demand and expensive!

My church just opened up a “Grandma’s Closet”. Like a tag sale setting. I plan on giving all my meters to them.

      • Shannon in ATL

I take mine to my local senior center, they are very happy to have them.

      • claudine

i work at an emergency animal hospital and we use the meters to check the glucose for our diabetic animals… thats what I do with my free meters… just a though :)

    • melissa

i am also curious – are there places where you dont have to pay the tax on the pre-coupon total?

i keep spare change with me to pay the taxes. and at times have also used a cvs gift card and swiped it to pay the taxes.

      how do others handle it?

    • You can get two free Kleenex in Northern California with coupons!

    • Natalie

Question- If my friend and I shop together, I have one card, she has one card. . say we both get the south beach bars and she rings up first. .can I use her 5 ECB that she gets at the end of her transaction to pay for my south beach cars on my transaction and will my 5 ECB still print?

      • D

the cashiers can override it and allow you to use someone elses ECB but nowadays, very few will. The ECB is only good for your particular card. If they allow you to use them, then yes, the ECB will also print at the of your transaction for the product.

        • Natalie

Thanks D! Your statement that “The ECB is only good for your particular card” is just what info I was looking for. New to cvs-ing and didn’t know this. Thanks again!

          • D

            No problem! Good luck!!

    • makclair

Today I took advantage of the Pantene, Dawn and Aussie deals (went to walgreens prior to CVS in order to get papers for 88 cents each), but when I got to the car i realized they did not scan my 3.00 off 2 pantene coupon! I actually called them from the car and told them I was on my way in to get it fixed. They pulled the coupon from the register and it was right there, so they ended up giving me 3 dollars in cash! I wonder how many times they miss scanning my coupon and I don’t notice and I lose my money!

      • kelli

I had a similar thing happen to me today. I had a $5 off coupon that beeped when he scanned it. he needed to adjust it down to $4.99 but he adjusted it down to $3 for some reason… The total ended up being more then I’d expected it to be but I just figured that I’d calculated wrong somehow. I’m glad that I looked at my receipt before I left the store because he’d messed me… he tried to tell me that I was wrong and he had only scanned what I’d given him. he kept insisting that I was in the wrong. I told him that he’d entered in a coupon amount and he again told me that I was wrong. I asked to speak to the manager who looked at my coupons and refunded my money.

      • Rebecca

Does Walgreens always have their papers for 88 cents??

        • sara

I paid $1.50 at the WG in Helena, AL

      • Becky

Please tell me about the 88 cent newspapers at Walgreens! I am wondering what area you are in. I’m in Atlanta–Sunday papers here are $2. Does Walgreens discount their newspapers?

    • Kim

So cool – went to CVS today after church. Grabbed my stuff, headed to the counter, put my first two things out and the cashier (my favorite one) said let me know which items you want to ring up first. I was only doing one transaction today and so it made it easy. As soon as I put everything on the counter, she said “here” and handed me a stack of qs that another customer didn’t want. She said “you use these – take them”. Then she wanted info on how to get some of the other qs I had and I was able to grab a spare q and share with someone else.

It is wonderful to be able to share the savings with other people.

      • Chrissy

You’re so lucky! I’m jealous. The CVS employees around here try to make me feel like I’m stealing when I use Q’s. I would die if they actually tried to help me save more $$$.lol

        • Yacoomba

I’ve had two bad experiences myself at the CVS where I live (ugh). I’m like you are still getting reimbursed if I use my coupons so don’t give me the nasty look like I’m taking food away from your mouth. I just started couponing and it trips me out how some ppl are mad at us for wanting to keep some coins in our pocket. At the CVS close to my job-the one cashier loves the fact I come in with my coupons and ECB’s (feels like home) :-)

    • Lucy

I’m new to the website (I don’t have a membership). I was printing some coupons for the Target deals when I came across a $5 OSTEO-Bi Flex coupon on Kmart’s website. It’s not a Kmart coupon and it reads as follows: Save $5 on any Osteo Bi-Flex Caplets. The CVS circular states you buy 1 get 1 Free with card + get $3 extra care bucks when you buy (2) ALL Osteo Bi-Flex. I thought this might help everyone.

      • Linda

        Can’t find the Osteo-Bi-Flex Qs on K-mart now. :(

        • Natalie

I found $5 coupons on the osteo bi flex website

          • Linda

            Got it- thanks!

    • Kim G

can anyone tell me where i can find the $5 off $30 coupon from the cvs quiz?????

      • Chrissy

Kim G, you have to take a 3 question quiz and then you can print out the Q. I just did it this afternoon, but can’t remember what the answers are.I got one wrong and itstill gave me the Q.
Click on the link posted at the top of this page.

    • Beth

I just wanted to let everyone know about a decent deal on Duraflame logs. I bought 2 today bogo and used the $5 off one 6 log box I printed off the Duraflame website. That made them $10 a box! Not a bad deal! CVS batteries are also bogo for a 12 count pack. When I scanned my card I got a $2 off $10 CVS items. That made 4 packs about $10! (I wanted the 40 count for 9.99 but they were out.)

    • D

For anyone who bought the Glade deal (I believe it was spend 12 dollars on Glade Products, get 4 ECB), Glade also has a mail-in rebate here:

      http://www.scjohnson.com/Libraries/Download_Documents/Rebate_Form.sflb.ashx

Where you just have to buy 3 Glade products and you get a rebate check of 5 dollars! Just thought I’d include this for those of you who did do that deal!!

    • D

Jenny, do you have an e-mail address posted anywhere to contact you directly? btw.. here is another 5 off of 20 in the Sacramento, Cali newspaper.

Just made a CVS trip. I am not very good at the whole CVS thing, so I try to keep it simple

      Starting with zero ECB’s:

      (3) Dawn Dish liquid .99ea/used (3).25 man
      (4) 3 pks Ivory Soap .99ea/used (4)$1 man
      (2) Thermacare wraps $13.98/used (2)$3 man
      (4) Herbal Essence Shampoo/Conditioner $2.88ea/used (4)$1 man

used $5 off $30 quiz coupon

      Total OOP: $15.00
      Got $4 ECB for Thermacare

I am saving my ECB’s to use with my Sonicare raincheck this week!

    • Linda

Has anyone found the $6 Q for Flex-a-Min Joint Care or the $4 Q for Osteo-Bi-Flex from RP 11/15? I get the paper by subscription and a friend gets it at the store; neither one of us can find these Qs. I thought Atlanta was the hub, so to speak, for all Qs!

      • margie

I also dont have the $6 coupons for Flex-a min – Atlanta paper – I get the double pack of 2 papers for price of one, that has the Saturday and Sunday editions of the Sunday paper. jenny at one of your couponing workshops you said that Atlanta gets every coupon that SS or RP puts out, unlike some of the “regional” areas may not get everything. This is not the first time I have not been able to find a coupon you said was in a specific issue.

Anyone else missing it this week – from Atlanta? The highest price coupon for any vitamin type items I see in any issue since mid oct is for Ester – C for $5. What am I doing wrong, or where am I missing it.?

        thanks for any help.

      • Natalie

I found them in my tallahassee democrat

    • Sandra

Can you use the 5.00 off of 30.00 coupon from the quiz more than once?

      • margie

Not unless you print another one from a different computer (and take the quiz again).

    • Cassie

I went to CVS last night with my hubby to get the cheap Pantene. While I was there I saw that not only was the regular Dawn dish soap .99, but the Dawn Hand Renewal with Olay dish soap was also .99. I used my $1 off any size coupon from the Home Made Simple booklet and got two for free! I was so excited! The ad just said Dawn .99, so I was glad to see that the Hand Renewal was included. Always fun to find free household necessities :)

      • Natalie

Thanks for the tip- I cashed in on this today!

    • Yacoomba

Deal Alert: I went to CVS today to get the B1G1 Revlon Creme Lipgloss..while there I noticed a lot of there makeup products were clearanced down 75%(Revlon and Rimmel-not sure about the others). I got two Rimmel and one Revlon for $4.18 total (after my $1.00 off Rimmel coupon). The $2 off coupon would not push through since the lipstick was $1.99. So if you want to go an even cheaper route look for the clearance(green sticker)!!!
      Here’s the breakdown:

      Revlon Matte L Wine 1.99 saved 6.00
Riml SWT Jly Taste 1.57 saved 4.72
Riml Vnyl Lpg Delr 1.62 saved 4.87
-$1.00 off coupon for Rimmel (expiration 2/28/10)..this coupon came in the paper that had the $1.00 Nivea Body Wash coupon this month (sorry can’t remember the exact date).

    • Lisa

I have a question, Can I use a 5/30 coupon and a 5/20 coupon in the same transaction at CVS? I am sure I have read this before but think it was done at Rite Aid…wasn’t sure about CVS.
      Thanks!

      • D

        no

    • Lee

There is a $5 off $20 purchase that is printable on the sacremento bee website. Can I use two of these coupons, in seperate transacations with my CVS card or will it only let me use one coupon per card?

      • D

yes, I always use 1 each transaction but separate my transactions.

    • Shanda

How do you get the free Venus with Pampers? I don’t see that in my ad….

    • MJ

Got a deal at CVS today on Crest Toothpaste. Our CVS has a clearance section. I always go there first to see what is on clearance. Today, there were 5 tubes of Crest Toothpaste Extra Whitening 4.4oz, for .50 cents. I had 4 coupons, (2) .50 off and (2) 1.00 off coupons. There were 5 tubes of toothpaste. I knew there would be an issue with overage, so I picked up a candy bar, total that I had to pay was .18 cents. Not sure if every CVS has these on clearance, but if you are in your CVS, check their clearance isle.

    • Jennifer

I live in upstate SC. Has anybody tried using the $5 Sacramento coupon here. I don’t want to get to the register and them ask me where I got it….

      • D

        yes, they work!

      • Sherry M

I used it in Greenville without a problem. I didn’t cut it out, I left it like it printed so they could see that it was a printable newspaper coupon, not a copy.

I noticed the Coke ECB deal appears that it can be done again on the bottom of my receipt. Does anyone know how many times it can actually be done, even though the paper says limit 1?

      • Amy

I’ve done the coke deal 3 times and ECB’s printed each time. Not sure what the true limit is but I have some additional $1/2 Q’s for 2 liter cokes that expire tomorrow so I’m going to try again to see if I can get the ECB a 4th time!

    • I tried to do the South Beach Diet bars with coupons, but unfortunately, the coupon is for a box with 6 in it, and our CVS here only had boxes with 5 in them. The cashier wouldn’t take it… so I just put the bars back. Still not a bad deal w/o the coupons if you like South Beach, but not good enough for me to buy 3 boxes for $5 just to try them.

Has anyone figured out how to get the Alli coupon?

Does anybody know when the Greenville, SC stores are going to 75% off the Christmas stuff? I went today and they still have a TON of stuff but it is marked 50% off.

Went to CVS today and had a good trip. My husband and I did seperate transactions because their Dawn was limited to 3 and I wanted to buy 5. He bought
      3 Dawn with Olay,
      2 3pks Ivory soap,
candy bar for filler (because my q’s were more than the sale prices.) Used
      3 $1 off Dawn
      2 $! off Ivory
Total paid was $1.14. May not have needed the filler but wanted to avoid a possible problem.

      I bought:
      2 Olay Regenerist Cleansers @ 6.99 ea.
      2 Dawn with Olay @ .99
      2 Pantene @ 3.50
      Used
      2 $3 off Olay
      2 $1 off Dawn
      1 $3 off Pantene
      $10 ECB
      Paid $2.76 oop
      Got back $2 ECB
Will submit receipt for $15 rebate from Olay. Will make this a $4.24 moneymaker if they rebate me the full $15.

Makes a total of 3.10 profit plus all this mdse.

      GREAT TRIP!

Husband also used 3 $1 off Dawn coupons.
