2009_upromise-ecoupons250x250Upromise has loaded their November eCoupons. They have over $45 dollars in coupons this month. Load them now and have them saved for any purchases during the month!

These are a little different than the other e coupons:

  • You can use them at almost any store!
  • The money does not come off at the register but is put into your Upromise account.
  • Load as many coupons as you want, there is no limit.

Why use Upromise eCoupons?
Normally when you buy something that gives you money back for college it gives you .03 -.10 cents. With the eCoupons you are
significantly increasing the amount saved.

Can I use a coupon too?
Yes! These are not tied to coupons or discounts in the store.

I don’t have a kid…
Not a problem. We had a Upromise account for almost 2 years before our kids were born. Once we had kids we went in and changed it our of our names to our kids names. Grandparents can also sign up and have it go to their grandchildren! We have 3 sets of grandparents all saving a little bit for our kiddos. You can change the beneficiary at any time.

How much can you really save?
Well, you aren’t going to send them to Princeton just from your savings, but it can be a nice chunk of money by the time they get there. It depends on how much you remember to use their system. We have been a member for almost 6 years and have over $3000 saved. Since we have 3 kids this won’t go very far but it is $3000 that we didn’t have to dig up to save. (No it’s not all from e coupons, they just started the e coupon system last year.)

Is anyone having problems with the Upromise site? I tried to join and keep getting a blank page.

      • sara

I just joined but went to the site directly, not through the link. May want to try that. So, can I load all the coupons at one time? Is there a disadvantage to loading them all? And then I have to get a card from Publix and put my card number on my Upromise account online? Then I have Publix scan it each time and it automatically does the coupons?

    • Kim

Question – are the coupons a sigle use coupon? After I load it and purchase the item will it be removed and can I reload it to use again??

      • Jenny

They are single use. So you get one of them per month. If it is listed again next month (like the bounty) then you get to use it again.

    • Lori

Question for the avid Upromise user: I have had an account for a long time but we have never attached our credit or debit cards to our account. Have you all done that & how secure do feel that is? How are you earning your $$?
      Thanks in advance!

      • JenW

I have had a UPromise account for 7 years and have always had my credit and debit cards registered with it. I have never had an issue. I also have the UPromise 529 savings account which utilizes transfers from my regular bank account and is attached to my UPromise account and I am very satisfied with it. Hope this helps.

    • Gabi

How does the Publix card work? And does the amount of the coupon get deducted from the purchase price or do they just deposit the amount of the coupon into the account?

      • Teresa-QOCD

Jenny explains that at the beginning.

    • ayan

I am not sure I understand how this works. I used the $2 off 2 Bic shavers e-coupon at Publix. Today I see that all of sixteen cents was actually deposited in my UPromise account for the Bic purchase, not $2. Will the $2 show up later? Because I used an e-coupon back in August and only got four cents deposited in my account, even though the face value was fifty cents.

      Am I doing it wrong?
