Walgreens also has the free Ecotrin with the 2.25 coupon.

    • I tried to do the meter deal at walgreens ( I was soo excited there was a meter in the store) and they would NOT take my coupon- they said they couldnt bc the price of the meter was only $10 and the coupon was for $30 off and she would not adjust coupon price?!? what should I have done? Is this new policy? I was soo frustrated!

    • Emily

Rebecca- I think we may have similar problems…. We just tried to buy the Ecotrin with the $2.25 coupon, but the manager wouldn’t let us. She said since it was only $2.00 to start with, it would be ‘coupon fraud’ and they would get in trouble. So she wouldn’t take the coupon. Is that the rule?

    • crystal

my wags does that all the time, I got so frustrated that I don’t shop at wags any loger, :(

    • gretchen

The cashier at my walgreens was very nice and adjusted the price of the ecotrin down to 2.00 for me.

It’s crazy though, since they get reimbursed for the full value of the manufacturer’s coupons!

      Rebecca,

The meter coupon says up to 30 and has a place to write in the price. This is different than the ecotrin 2.25 coupon. They should have took your meter Q. You can call customer service.

    • Yes, I agree – the ecotrin is for a face value of 2.25, so if they don’t want to take it, then ok, but the meter coupon asks for a price to be entered when it is scanned- the coupon actually says “up to $30 off” or something like that. The cashier has to fill in the serial number and price paid for the meter. They should take it.

Jenny, I don’t know how to e-mail you with a new deal, but i just saw a Sonic commercial that said they’re giving away free root beer floats on Wed, June 3 from 8pm-midnight!

    • Catherine

Yes, they should take those and the cashier is not well educated, it seems. The cost of the coupon is “up to $30” and they write in the price. WHATEVER THE COUPON VALUE is, that’s what they’ll be getting from the manufacturer! It is actually coupon fraud for THEM to refuse to give you the full price off of the coupon because they will get the full amount, whether you pay it to them or the manu does. I remember this distinctly from Jenny’s workshop and I am sure it’s on the guides here.

I would recommend speaking with the store manager or calling customer service to get an official policy.

Another note from Jenny’s workshop and I’ve seen in my experience is that the Walgreen’s cashiers don’t seem willing or trained on doing much fancy with coupons, especially multiple transactions. I guess they are getting in trouble more quickly than CVS ones, who are very amenable to multiple transactions and lots of coupons. I’ve never had a problem at CVS, although I love taking my RRs across the street to Publix as free money!

At my Wags they took 4 ecotrin coupons, and rang each separately for the RRs. They did call the manager over because the coupon was for more, but he said just enter the amount as 2 dollars on each. I guess I was lucky.

I really want to get the Cutter Insect Repellant for $2. Has anyone gotten this deal at their Walgreen’s store? I found some in the store but the cost was higher than $2.

    • Rebecca

      Melora,
There is a small about 3 oz. size that is $2 for $4, it was located with the repellents. Hope that helps you!

I am having trouble finding the Kerasal product on sale in my area (Charlotte/Rock Hill). I didn’t see it in our Sunday add.
