There are even more Food Lion Meat and Produce coupons to use!! These are all good through Tuesday 5/28.

Heads up: Food Lion is trying to get more local targeted with their offers and these may not scan in all stores. They however have no specific stores listed, so if you have problem they will take them just explain that you got them off the Food Lion website.

For most of us though… the easy thing is to just use them at a store that accepts Food Lion coupons as competitor coupons (Publix and Bi-Lo)

Food Lion Store Coupons:

-.50/1  Package of Johnsonville Fresh Dinner Sausage

-.50/1 Dixie Plate Product

-.50/1 Blue Bunny Ice Cream (56 oz)

-$2/$5 purchase in deli/bakery

-$2/$5 purchase in produce

-$2/$5 purchase in meat department

-.50/1 package of Johnsonville Smoked Chicken Sausage or Premium Cooking Sausage

Offer valid thru 5/28.

The Bi-lo in Irmo on Broad River Road and the one in Chapin are NOT accepting the $2 off $5 meat, produce or deli/bakery.
You may get through here and there, as I have before but this experience was today at the Chapin store and I basically refuse to go to the Irmo one because of there awful service and treatment of customers using competitor coupons – manager over ride is needed for ANY competitor coupons at that store.

My BI-LO also gave me a little bit of trouble with the $2 off $5 meat, produce, and deli/bakery. They have to have supervisor override for competitor’s coupons and the first supervisor told me they were not accepting these, only accepting competitor coupons for specific items. When I questioned it, she asked the manager on duty, who approved them… but said even though she was approving them, other managers may not so not to expect that this would be the case every time.
I checked the coupon policy online, which says they accept competitor coupons for identical items they sell. I guess this could be a gray area… I would say “produce” is an “identical item”, but I can see where it could be interpreted as the item having to be specifically listed on the coupon.
I would also say that we shouldn’t get mad if they don’t cater 100% to customers using competitor coupons… because they don’t have to take them at all! :)

I did get mad and I’m taking my business elsewhere.
They don’t have to “cater” to me, I will go to Publix where shopping really is a pleasure…..and yes, they cater to their customer – that’s the name of the game. It’s good business.

No problem at the Lyman Bi-Lo today.

I got 2 bags of fresh express spinach ($2.39 each) and 1 banana to meet the $5 requirement at food lion. Used $2 off $5 purchase and $2.50 off any 2 fresh express/dole salad. Paid ~$0.60

I just had a pretty good trip to Food Lion. I got 2 packs of ground beef on sale for $1.99/lb, made sure to get it as close to $5 as possible ($5.07) and used $2/$5 meat purchase. I got two of the big deli potato salad and cole slaw which were BOGO at $6.49. Used $2/$5 deli/bakery coupon. I also got a box of Cheez-Its (2/$4 here, not bogo), used $.70/1 and a container of FL cool whip for our strawberry shortcake tonight. I also got the $2/$2 purchase taken off so I paid $8.05 for all that!
