      Does Food Lion double coupons?

      • Melody

        Nope! :-(

      • Mandi

It depends on where you live. Some double up to $.60!! :-)

    • 2Cor12_9

Anybody know a price on the Chef Michaels? Might be good!

      • JB

My food Lion ad showed the BOGO was on the 1.5 LB, not the 11.5 LB bag…so not sure which it is?

    • Wkth

Does anyone know if Food Lion takes competitor coupons?

      • Leigh

My Food Lion takes competitor's coupons and also matches competitor's ads, and they double coupons up to 60 cents.

        • Melissa Y

Right now I believe that this is only a Metro Atlanta thing (competitors coupons, price matching and doubling up to $0.60 coupons).

      • Guest

MOST Food Lion's do NOT take competitors' coupons, MOST do not price-match, and MOST do not double coupons (yet, anyway – looks like they may be starting soon). You can speak with your store and ask, but don't expect them to say yes b/c it's not something that the chain usually does.

    • kathleen

honestly, food lion doesn't do much for coupons. As far as items I have coupons for I'd probably shop just about anywhere else…except that produce coupon, that was a great one!

      • TheChapleigh

Wow, I was just thinking today that I've determined FL to be the place to go for produce, as I regularly get Dole salad Q's printed from both the Catalina machine & the blue store Q kiosk. I am able to stack both of these, and today in combo with the produce Q, it made for a nice sale on needed tomatoes & spinach for me. No other store that I've shopped at (but my choices are HT, LF, FL & Walmart) does this consistently. In fact, I find that I'm able to stack a lot of kiosk store Q's with other manu Q's I have on hand.

Also, I love that the Smart Source blinkie machine Q's start with “5” at FL, so I can then take that Q & use it for doubling at HT… and FL has a MUCH better selection & quantity of blinkie dispensers. DEFINATELY worth my time to browse the add & the store.

    • Becca T

I talked to the manager at my Food Lion last week and according to him, they are going to start rolling out the coupon doubling to all stores this year. They are planning to do it in stages.
For me this is GREAT news because my Food Lion has the BEST personnel. I am even willing to pay a little more to shop there because of how helpful they are. They have never given me any problems with coupons, they are generous with the rain checks, and their butcher is the best.

Also, note that not all of their sale items are in their paper. They have the Food Lion black beans, kidney beans, etc. on sale at my store 5/$3. They also regularly have the larger size Campbell's cooking soups on sale.

To all my fellow couponers, I would encourage you to write letters (nice ones) to their corporate office saying how wonderful their stores are and how we would really appreciate double coupons. Remember, you can attract more flies with honey than vinegar!

      • Morgan4

If you don''t mind me asking, where do you live, Becca? I am in Lexington NC and I love my Food Lion too. The staff there is great and they never give me any trouble with my coupons.

        • Jdean1986

Hello I'm In Thomasville, The Foodlions in both cities are awesome :)

        • Becca T

I'm in Newberry, SC. They are WONDERFUL!!! I have found that their starting prices are well below the Bi-Lo here. And the Bi-Lo here doesn't have the best staff. There are a couple of cashiers who don't mind coupons, but for the most part, it's like they're mad that you're using them. And don't even get me started on our Wal-Mart. They treat you like a criminal if you try to use coupons in there.

      • Deb

I have been on a email writing campaign for over a year, always nice, and they have decided to stop returning my emails. :) The last one I received said they could not double coupon as they did not have the funds to do such a program but, they hoped I would continue to shop with them. That was just after they started dbling in SC!

      • Staciaschrek

I have been on their feedback panel for two years. Every time they asked why I didn't shop at FL more I told them it was because they didn't double q's. They have since dropped me. I wasn't ugly about it, but to the point. Isn't that what feedback is?

Anyway, if they do start to double here in VA it would be very nice. Besides K, only Martin's doubles but that's only one coupon per trip. So I never go there. It will be nice to have options.

        • Amy

Thank you so much for clarifying that! I shop at Martin's and though they advertise “double coupons,” my savings never looks like it should on my receipt. Now I get it. Thanks!

    • LKNshopper

For the Palermo Pizzas that are B1G1 do you have to buy 4 in order to use the $1 off 2 coupon?

      • heather

        Nope, just 2 :)

      • Lindafcousins

When I printed the Palermo coupons, they had expired 12/31/2010????

        • Swhaley40

i just printed then straight from palermao site an they are 12-31-11, also if u go to food lion site on southersavers for the weekly ad an scan down u will find it there

        • Swhaley40

          Palermo’s Pizza 12 in., B1G1 at $6.49 ($3.24)
          -$1/2 Palermo’s Pizza product PRINTABLE

    • Morgan4

My Food Lion is the best too. They never give me a hard time about coupons. If a coupon won't scan and they know I bought the item(s), they will key it in. The store is never completely wiped clean of items like Harris Teeter often is when things are on sale or they are having super doubles and their prices are lower in the first place. Walmart is the only place that beats their prices but my Walmart gives me a terrible time over coupons so I usually don't do my major grocery shopping there. If FL starts doubling coupons, I will be thrilled!

    • Spencers4christ

The link for the Nabisco Chips Ahoy printable does not work!! Please help!!!

      • Jovialjax

It was a facebook promo at the beginning of the month…you had to print it then. but, it doesn't expire until the middle of feb.

    • Korri

I wish our Food Lion was as great as yalls are……I dread going there….I have learned the typical items I buy always come out cheapier at Harris Teeter. That's when I compare between Food Lion, HT and Walmart….I refuse to buy from Walmart…..They are so rude when it comes to coupons!

      • Raynesmw

What I find is really hard…when I go to Walmart or FL after shopping at Bi Lo or HT, in my mind I constantly have to remind myself that my coupon will not double….that's bad isn't it?

        • TheChapleigh

I find that there's a strategy to each store. While HT and Lowes Foods (or Bi Lo, it sounds like) may double, usually the prices start higher than FL. I stock my church's pantry, so I will go into FL weekly to pick up the great dry goods deals with Qs, and I am noticing that often I get better deals on soups there than in HT. Since I”ve been going in there, I'm now getting Catalina Q's to print off and the blue store Kiosk is also printing off store Qs based on my MVP purchase history, and it's quite often now that I can stack the two… something that's a rarity at HT and LowesF. So, my strategy has been to use the $1.oo or more Q's at FL when I see a good deal, and save the less than $1.oo Qs for HT or LowesF… UNLESS I can stack at FL with a store Q. As the song goes, you gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away…. couponing is a card game that requires game strategy!

    • Dualbabies

I am making a spaghetti dinner for a father/daughter dance for 100 people. I usually don't try, but the Mueller's link let me print numerous pasta coupons. Is this ok? I am trying to save as much money as I can for my daughters American Heritage Girl Troop, but I want to make sure I am not doing anything unethical. I need to purchase about 25 lbs of pasta.

      • TheChapleigh

I will tell you that I have been printing those Q's out for quite some time, as they continue to send me emails with the same Q advertised. Due to my firewall issues, once I am able to finally get the screen to say it will print, I then print out multiple copies, so as to avoid the frustration of my firewall (I REALLY need to de-frag my computer, or whatever they call it;). Whenever I go to Harris Teeter, I almost always get 2 Mueller's products with these Q's, according to their IP Q policy. The Q's have not ever beeped when scanned, are always taken without problem, and they continue to print out fine (as stated above, through the link's Mueller's provides me in my email). I am stocking a church pantry, so it has been awesome to have these Q's readily available… but I am not clearing any shelves, I am adhering to coupon policies, and since Mueller's continues to send me the same Q over and over again, my guess is that it's completely legit. Anyone else care to weigh in on this one?

        • motherof2

My Myeller's coupons will not print out. They will only print a small number on the top of the page ( like (02-24-2011) which looks like the date, but that is it.
What can I do to fix this problem?

        • Dualbabies

What coupon policies are you referring to? I need about 25 packages of pasta for the dinner and have about 12 coupons. I would feel bad printing enough for all of them, even though it is for a non-profit dinner. I thought about calling the manager and telling him what I was planning. Thanks for your help. BTW I love Mueller's pasta and always bought it even before I started couponing.

          • TheChapleigh

I was talking about Harris Teeter's coupon policy, of only accepting 2 internet printable coupons in one transaction. That means, I only bought 2 boxes of pasta per trip, thus not emptying any shelves & leaving plenty for others. In doing this in this fashion, over time I have accumulated a lot of free pasta for the hungry families who come our way. Harris Teeter doubles coupons, and I buy when the pasta is one sale for a dollar, or on B1G1 deal. I may need to refresh my memory on the total coupons allowed at Food Lion per transaction… however I usually end up getting free pasta, or very cheap pasta, by using Ronzoni coupons at Food Lion during their B1G1 deals or $1.oo/box, and I think I've only used 3 or 4 coupons per shopping trip…. the Ronzoni Q's were available a few months back at our area Food Lions (I would pick up 2 Qs whenever I'd go into the store), and there were a bunch of internet printable Qs that I used last week at FL. As per the question someone posed about not being able to print out the Meuller's Q from their site, my issue was a firewall issue, and an Internet Explorer high memory use deal (not even sure what that means, but it shuts my screen down or freezes me up, and then I have to try restarting — a real pain). However, I did write to Meuller's about it (as I thought it was just their site, as all other sites were printing fine up until recently – again, my computer issue here)… and Meuller's sent me some coupons for free pasta in the mail. I hope this info is helpful to you :)

Thank you so much for your help!

      • Katiekittie18

I asked the same thing (fromsomeone I took a coupon class with). She said they let you print as many as you want, and that is perfectly fine.

      • tricianc

I purchased 30 boxes of spaghetti today (three separate transactions), everything went quite well. :-)

    • Debbie

My Food Lion here in Jax. Fl said they do not take internet coupons, the lady even pulled out her notebook with coupon policy. Told her just to forget my whole order. I am sure it was more hassle to put up all the groceries I had than to accept my coupons. I will not shop there except for really good deals, that do not require coupons.

        http://www.foodlion.com/content/docs/couponAcceptancePolicy.pdf
I have printed this out & carry with me… perhaps there is some confusion over the specifics of the internet printables stated that will and won’t be accepted? I did have one FL younger male cashier who said flippantly that they do not take IP Qs. I said “that’s not what the FL online Q policy states”. He said he’d take them “this once”. I have since chosen to shop two other FLs in town who seem more educated on the policy.

I went to my FL yesterday when the cashier told me the same thing. I kindly asked to speak with the manager. The manager came over who then told the cashier that as long as it was a manufacturer's coupon it was okay. In addition, the manager said they were no longer taking any internet coupons that allowed you to get something for free. Meaning the 'buy this, get this for free' or just a coupon where you get something completely for free. I live in Raleigh, NC. Hope this helps!

      • Swhaley40

When I asked her why she thought that, she told me it was because 1)My coupons were black and white (I don't waste my color ink) and 2)There was no website listed on the coupon telling where I got it. She said it was obvious that they were copies. She was very ugly to me and I left my entire buggy there. I went home, brought my laptop back, showed the general manager the site where you print them, and asked that he make her aware that black and white does not automatically equal fake. I told him I understand there are people out there who do that kind of thing, but the employee's first reaction should not be to shame and accuse a customer. I told him it makes me reluctant to return there to shop with coupons, and since I always use coupons… He gave me a $5.00 gift card and promised he would show the website to someone else and ask them about the coupons. I didn't get to use them, but at least I felt heard. And the $5.00 was a nice bonus!

I always have problems with FL's price listing…I bought the 4pk. Activia yogurt and the price was listed as $1.99 with the MVP card…but the cashier rang up and I checked the receipt afterward and it showed $2.69…I used -1/1 coupon so made it $1.69…it's too expensive for 4 yogurts…however, I also used the Mueller Pasta coupons I printed online and used 4 of them…the cashier went into the backroom and checked with the manager and it was no problem…I paid 70cents more than what I was supposed to pay with the incorrect yogurt price…but with the free pasta coupon I decided not to complain

My Food Lion does not carry the Chef Michael 11.5 bag of dog food. I order 2 $4.00 off coupons just for the sale. Bummer. They did have 1.5 bag B1G1.

Does Food Lion double coupons?? I can't view their coupon policy.

      • Linda7574

My food lion does not double….Anderson,SC

      • Kelli

The Food Lions in the test market areas double coupons up to 60 cents. I'm thankfully in the Atlanta region and we are in the test market. So, the Mueller pasta is a fab deal for me. They pay me 10 cents to buy it! I'm going to get mine this afternoon! The Food Lions that are not in the test market area (I think there are only a few stores being tested right now) do not double coupons.

The Muellers pasta is a $1 and the printable coupon beside it can be used with it to make it FREE! We just got back from Food Lion and got 35 boxes of Muellers pasta for a grand total of $3.24.

      • Heather

Picked up 10 free boxes today, yay!

      • I've never used this kind of quantity before. Do all Food Lions allow this many coupons for the same product?

    • Couponqueen25

I started printing the Muellers coupons and then read limit one coupon per person. Is this the same one that everyone else is using lots of?

      • Tara_b2

Also, they all have the same barcode numbers…is that normal? Sorry…I'm BRAND NEW at this.

      • Heather

I used 10 in one transaction and had no problem

    • Orangecouponlady

I have printed a total of 4 of the Mueller coupons (over a week or so, I would check and see if it was still there and it let me print every time) and had no trouble using all four in the same transaction. Manchester, TN FL.
