We had a big shopping week this week!  It’s fun to get stocked up on things you love for half the price.  The biggest item we got this week was goldfish.  My three year old actually sang and danced when I told her that goldfish were B1G1 at Kroger!  I tried to film her for you, but once she figure out what mama was doing she stopped…

We are going out of town next week so I shopped for this week and next week.

Kroger:
Total before sales and coupons: $164.02
Total Spent: $68.83
Total Saved: $95.19

Publix:
Total before sales and coupons: $115.62
Total Spent: $48.20
Total Saved: $67.42

I also went to two different Walgreens, looking for Cottonelle but you guys all got there first.

How did you do this week?  Leave a comment or a link to your savings post.

My first Walgreen’s didn’t even have a spot for the Cottonelle.  I am in Brooksville, FL, and the Walgreen’s at the corner of 50 & Mariner had about 25 packs left, after I got mine. :)

50 boxes of potatoes and you think that’s something good to brag about. You sure have enough starch too feed your beach whale family.

        • TEApartyHeather

Ma’am or sir, I have a family of five.  None in our family are obese.  That will take care of about half the boxes for the next 4 or 5 months.  Meanwhile, I also have a friend who does charitable outreach which I provide assistance to.  I don’t have a lot of time or money, but I always do my best to get good cheap or free items just for her homeless outreach.

First time I’ve ever posted.  Last time, too.

          • Mysticeyez

Teapartyheather.  Ignore the rude comments some people post.  Apparently there was one person in particular on the forums who recently got banned for such rude comments.  I wonder if the wonderful people who run this site ban by IP address. Granted even that is not fool proof.

You did great on your stock ups.  And it is wonderful that you are contributing to an outreach program. Some people use the internet for bashing other people because they can not in real life without getting their tails whooped.  Ignore them and keep doing what you do.

          • coupons4kids

Personally, I thought you did great!  My parents just stopped over and I sent them home with laundry soap, shavers, shampoo, cleaning supplies and much more goodies.  So a lot of times I buy in bulk and share with family. In this economy we all need to help each other out!  Kuddos to your week!  Amazing job!

            • TEApartyHeather

              Thank you all,

Coupons4kids, I understand how you feel.  I remember going to the dollar store with $60 in my pocket and having to try to figure out how to feed my family, maintain detergents, sanitary, dish soap, toiletries etc week after week (plus pet food).

Now, my $60 budget usually gets me $120 worth of products on a regular basis, and yes, like you I give my ‘stock pile’ away freely, practically pleading with neighbors, co-workers, and friends to take items I have that I gotten for free.  I’m so blessed to be able to share the little I do have with people who are plugged in and making a difference, as well as a neighbor who’s husband (and sole bread winner) is recuperating from a horrible accident.

Thank you for your posts.  I must admit, I was taken aback, but thank you for your kind words and comradery. I enjoy reading about everyone else’s successes as well!

            • Karen

TEApartyHeather…..this “Guest” probably feels she or he is above couponing so please don’t listen. We are all here to learn from each other. I was once told by a clerk at Walgreens I was unethical for using coupons. Little does she know that all the free razors I got at her store go to guys like my fiance in Afghanistan serving this country. I don’t shop there anymore. I’m on a first name basis with CVS now. You have to do what you can for your family and the people you choose to help. Maybe “Guest” should try it. It’s rewarding.

          • Sgeyer133

Don’t go!! Keep saving and keep posting! IGNORE the ignorant and rude people, there are lots of people here to support you and your savings :)

          • Tkdodson83

The betty crocker potatoes have a shelf life of forever (really like 9+months on most), there is nothing wrong with stocking up on those, really great for the overage as well!!! I bought ten boxes and its just me, my husband and son. They had ton at my bilo of all different varieties. Nothing wrong with buying as much as you did regardless of if its for you or charity. Good job!

Buying 50 boxes of potato and getting $25 overage from it is WRONG. How could bilo afford that if many of you are doing the samething(obviously lot of you have appoved this behavior). Eventually bilo will realize their new policy is killing the company and stop taking competitor’s coupon. I see this happening in the very near future.

        • TEApartyHeather

I sure hope not.  I used to shop elsewhere and then I started bouncing around from store to store to try to find the best deals.  Once Bi-lo changed their coupon policy, I literally have no need to shop anywhere else unless a crazy free deal comes up.  I think it’s drawing people (and $$$$) in on a regular basis.

        • Anonymous

maybe she’s donating! none of your business! Good job TEAparty Heather!

Awesome shopping trip.  I absolutely love being able to use the Publix coupons at Bi-lo.  Keep up the good couponing  :-)

    • Mysticeyez

This will be my very first time posting on one of these but I just have to do it this time.  I went to Harris Teeter and saved so much they had to over ride the register so I could pay for everything!

Total Before Sales and Coupons: $241.04
      Total OOP: $97.04

Then for the icing on the cake , my daughters needed new school uniform shirts so we headed over to JC Penny to take a look at what was on sale.  I found the Izod uniform shirts for girls on sale.  They were marked down to $5.99 a shirt.  So we grabbed 5 of them.  While at the register the very wonderful lady checking us out told us to grab one more so we could use a $10 off $30 coupon they had.  Total OOP for 6 Izod uniform shirts was $20!  $3.33 a shirt? Cant beat that.

      • my friend’s sister makes $79 hourly on the computer. She has been without work for 8 months but last month her paycheck was $8335 just working on the computer for a few hours. Here’s the site http://ufil.ms/jfiHL

TeapartyHeather, (It wouldn’t let me reply directly to you for some reason)
Don’t leave because of one person’s negativity. I am sorry that you had to read that comment, but there are tons of great people on here. Just in your defense, although I think you handled yourself pretty well, I once bought 50 boxes of Pop-tarts. (No, I didn’t wipe out the shelves, and no I don’t have an obese family either). We kept some boxes for ourselves, but donated most to a local church, who feed children that come in on buses and didn’t get breakfast from home.

      • Guest

Oh yeah that’s right. 50 boxes here and 50 boxes there. None of you admit clearing shelves, but the 2 or 3 of you together definitely do. How funny that you are all defending each other. At the end, you are all donating some as if that can turn the black to white.

      • Anonymous

Why do people act like they have to spy on everything, could you please just say ugghhh listen that coupon was for this not that…NOOOO It’s always you did coupon fraud OMG you got 50 boxes! what r u going to do with them…dont worry about it and lets b nice!

    • Sarahbeth1210

Ran to Wags to buy diapers.  I was going to buy the Huggies, however, when I got there they had Pampers boxes for 10.00 on clearance.  I only had the Infant care book with me at the time, so I bought three boxes for 24.00.  I went back home and got my qpons and bought 4 more boxes.  AFter qpons, I spent less than 60.00 for 7 boxes of Pampers cruisers and tax!

    • marlyn

It’s been a great stock up week for me too!  Thanks for your help, Southern Savers!

    • Amylou75

    • Sandra Edouard

The RR for the Cottonelle didn’t print for me at Walgreens. Did anybody else have the same issue? The manager told me if I come back with something saying that should be a $3 RR, he will reimburse me $3. Where can I find that info to bring to them? The Walgreens is about a block away from and I go there all the time.

      • Celeste Parker

at my store only the Cottonelle in the purple pkg printed the reward..I complained while I was there and they just exchanged or something and it printed the reward

      • Anonymous

I got it, no problem. Did u get (2) purple packs?

        • Sandra Edouard

Didn’t know that the special was only on the purple packs so I just got what was closer to the door…the blue pack. Thanks. I

    • CouponNERD

Waaah! I haven’t been shopping yet, so I don’t have anything to post. These coupons are burning a hole in my pocket…

    • Phyllis

I don’t know if anyone else noticed picture no. 90.  If you click on it and then enlarge you can see that the person purchased 9 boxes of purina one beyond CAT food and fraudulently used the recent $4 purina one beyond DOG food coupons on them to obtain overage.  It states on the coupon that they are for dog food not any purina one beyond product.  Purina one beyond dog food does not come in the 16 oz. boxes.

I went to CVS and got a new card and scaned the card to get my two coupons, and it printed me out a $3 coupon (purchue $10 or more on cosmitics and get $3 dollers off), i also had an $8 coupon of cover girl that was save $8 on any 2 covergirl, so i had gotton blush that was $4.99 and faceal powder that was $8. so i used my $3 doller store coupon, and my $8 coupon and only paid $2 dollers for it, and then i had and ECB from a while back, and they had mayfield milk on sale for $3.99, so i used my $1.50 ECB and got my mayfield milk for only $2! so with a total of $17 dollers i only paid $4 out of pocket. i thought i did really good. and like you said jenny once you get your first good perchuse you’ll never go back and you’ll get hoocked, well i have to say you are sooo right! thanks for teaching us!

I have tried to use the $2 coupon for the Scope Crest Outlast, for .97 it didn’t work for me.  I did end up getting the Scope Outlast the larger size for .97, using the $2 coupon.  The price in my store was $2.97…
