I had great plans to get this typed and ready to go earlier today.  I also had plans to call and wish my Dad a happy birthday… screwed those up too.  So Happy Birthday Dad… not that you read this.

I made it out to CVS and Rite Aid this week.  No grocery shopping for us but it was so great to get going again with drugstore deals!  I took a family member and schooled her in the art of CVSing.  I don’t know that she fully wanted to learn, but by the end she was proud of her accomplishments.

Glad to see you're getting back into the drug store deals. that's usually where I get my best deals.

So far this week I spent about $35 and saved about $330 or about 90% but I've got SCR that I'll factor in when I figure out my actual numbers. I'll post then tomorrow after I finish shopping. I went to Kroger, Food Lion, CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens this week. I've still gotta go back to CVS because I've got $10 extra bucks that expired this week (my store will take expireds the week of).

    • kelli

Also, Happy Birthday to your dad!!!! :)

I love this site and have saved so much money! But I wish that people would stop going into the stores and cleaning off the shelves leaving nothing for other people! Thats not what this site is about! Jenny teaches us to only get what we need for 6 weeks…it is so rude to just go in the store and buy all the deals up! It's getting to the point where it is almost pointless to try to find some of the deals because of people like that! Consider others when your wiping the shelves clean!

I had a TON of the SOBE coupons so instead of clearing out stores, I called way ahead and asked the manager to please order me several cases. She was happy to and I got lots of free SOBO without clearing our their fridge! We are moving in a couple of weeks so I am stocking up so we will have free drinks on the road.

thats the way it should happen! i was just reading some of those blogs and people got like 20 and 30 of the Kraft sandwich shop mayo and then I go to get 2 at my Publix and there are none…calling the store is a great idea! i just wish all people were that considerate!

        • LuvthisStuff

Did you get them at CVS. Just wondering how u get around limit 6. I to love those drinks and have a bunch of coupons but I was only able to get 6 at a time.

Most of the time they are selling it at Flea Markets… Yes it's very annoying.

Please don't be hard on yourself for not calling your Dad. I know the disappointment you felt in yourself because I have done the same thing. My Dad realized how sad I was and said ” At my age forgetting the birthday is a good thing but we can still go out to eat, can't we? My husband and I forgot our anniversary this year. Three days later, he asked 'Am I in the doghouse?' It took me several minutes to figure out our anniversary had come and gone. This year we have it marked on the calendar and hopefully we'll see it. Thank you for all that you do. God bless you and a sincere and belated Happy Birthday to your Dad.

Going back to Rite Aid for more Renu

      • Jenni

Were you aware that the Renu rebate is a limit of 1?

    • Jenni

For Rite Aid I got $103.19 worth of stuff (not including the regular retail price for the items that were on sale) that I will pay only $3.70 for after all SCR's and UPs. Plus, almost everything I got was either a needful item, something I can donate, or a fun splurge I wouldn't have otherwise bought! I could have actually MADE money this week, but I didn't want to use my last $5/$20 coup for the month, so I bought some candy bars that were on sale and used my last $5/$25 coup instead. I sure hope Red Plum comes out with more $5/$25 coups soon!

I just started the whole CVS thing. This was my best week yet. 4 Sobe waters, 2 Gatorades, 2 crest toothpastes, 2 packs of gum, 2 packs of M&M's, a 3 musketeers, 4 panty liners, and 2 contact solutions. All for .87cents!

MONEY MAKER…Went to Publix and found Kellogg's Cinnabon Cereal on sale for $1.99! Here's the good part! The box had a big yellow banner that reads “Try Free after Mail in Rebate” I bought it and used a $1.00 coupon so I will end up making money on this deal even after the postage. Good deal huh??? :-)

    • Terrianne

I don't have a website but want to share my savings this week anyways. I shopped Publix and before sales and coupons my total was $463.51 after coupons, sales, etc. my bill was $51.29, feel I had a great week. However I am out of room, have to be careful not to buy too much more. Also trying to help some friends get into couponing.

I did great at CVS. I purchased three 6-packs of Dove Unscented Beauty Bars @$6.00 each, used 2-$2.00 off dove and $1.00off coupons making the boxes $4.00 and (1)$5.00. Bought a bottle of Dawn dish soap @ $0.99 used a $0.50 coupon making it $0.49. I had a $4 off of $20. My total was $10.54 I used $3.00 ECB making my total $7.54. I had a gif card from a prescription so out of pocket was nothing. I saved $19.47 and received a $5.00 ECB back. I love it and am totally addicted!
