I made it to CVS this week and that’s about it.  We left Tuesday for the hospital and just got back home late last night, so there wasn’t much time for any other shopping.  I am hoping to get out and grab a few deals before the ads change next Wednesday.

We all want to say thank you for the sweet cards you’ve sent, emails and comments all letting us know that you were praying and thinking about Mary.  Her surgery went well and we are adjusting to life with two very large casts.  If you missed any of what is going on with her, you can read about it all here.

As for our trip and savings this week…

CVS Totals:

Total Purchase Value: $40.46
Total Spent: $4.51
Total Saved: $35.95
ECB Remaining: $10 ECB

I only grabbed the Huggies diaper deal and used some ECB we already had to bring down the total.  I also got a $6 off diapers purchase store coupon and had the $2 off Huggies printables (which are set to go away very soon).

How did you do this week?  Leave a comment or a link to your savings post.

so glad she is doing good. My daughter was born with bilateral hip displaysia and at 3 months old was put in a spika cast (like your daughter) I know a 7 year old is much different from a 3 month old but if you are having trouble keeping the “private area” clean, get some panty liners (I had to cut them in half) put part of it (sticky side to cast) between her skin and cast, then fold it over onto the out side of the cast, I would line the whole area with them … this helped me a lot to keep that area clean. My Dr. suggested using saran wrap for this but it didn’t work and made her sweat. Another thing we did if she was hot, was to use a hair drier on cool setting to have air flow into her cast. A fan would work also… I’m sure you have had to come up with a few tricks yourself but thought I would share what worked for me…
