Thanks for the ad and Q match ups.  After shopping triples for a few days, I am stocked up on so much.  Thanks for all you do!!

    • Mo_Babee

Okay…I’m completely new to couponing.  I’ve been lurking on this site for a while but never took the plunge until this week.  What are B2G3 deals???

      • Mo_Babee

Does it really mean you buy two of that product and they give you three more free???

        • yes. You have to ring up a total of 5 for the deal, tho. In other words, it won’t work to grab 4. And you can use coupons on the 2 that ring up at full price!

        • Tryn2sav

          Yes

      • Kim

You must buy 2 of the products at full price, then you’re eligible to get 3 free.  They must be rang up together.  I think depending on where you shop, you’re able to use coupons on the free items (if you have more than 2 coupons that is).  So YMMV…

        • NC_angel

Harris Teeter only accepts 3 like coupons, so you can use 3, not all 5 coupons for these deals.

          • TheChapLeigh

My understanding is that they will only DOUBLE 3 like coupons… but I myself just stick to the 3 coupons, & only 2 if internet. That means some people who had newspaper Qs were able to buy,. say, 6 of the smart balance milks when the Q for $1.50/1 was out 6 months or so ago. The didn’t double any of them. Like I said, I haven’t tried, since I usually try to use Q’s that double on a regular week & save those higher-value Qs for a super-doubles event.

Anyone not feeling the thrill to shop this week since triples is over???? Wow… I guess we are spoiled, eh?

            • It’s not really spoiled per se, it’s just not worth the drive for me unless they’re having a super double / triple week.  I have to save at least 50 dollars if I’m going to make the 30 minute drive.

            • Angelascoupons1

I’m not feeling it…and there isn’t much that seems like a fab deal or that I need.  It’s nice to have a break, though.

          • Just4yall

The coupon policy states We double up to three identical items with manufacturer coupon; additional coupons for like item will be honored at face value. Like items include all flavors. It says nothing about 3 like coupons only doubleing up to 3 identical items with coupons. So if you have the lysol coupons that say any bathroom cleaner you can get 3 toilet bowl cleaner and all purpose cleaner. Or if you had the $2/1 crest coupons and you get 3 toothpaste and 3 toothbrushes you can use 6 of those coupons. you just cant get 3 crest toothpaste with different flavors or whatnot.

            • Just4yall

I know the $2 wont double it was just a good example. Anything that covers multiple items in the coupon you can use more than 3 of.

            • Just4yall

To add to my post. The reason they have the policy the way they do is so when there are coupons out there with different values. Say .60c insert coupons and a .75c printable coupon for nature valley granola bar. They cant get 6 of those items or 9 or 12 because there are diff. coupons out there for the same item. It stops people from clearing the shelves.

      • Margoren

Buy 2 get 3 free. Per new policy you can use coupons on the free items too.

    • Kim

Darnit….Fruit2Day printables hasn’t been resetted for me.  Said I already reached my limit, but its been awhile (months) now since I’ve printed.

      • Lopezshopping

I feel your pain, though the same issue has plagued me for months now with printing 0.55 creamer coupons for International Delight.  It never reset itself since the first time I tried to print them and it didn’t print.

    • Kim

Be careful…New York Syle Bagel says “Do Not Double” (although it starts with a 5).  When you sign up, it gives you a pdf file of the coupon.  Expires 9/30/2011.

      • Danielle

I printed 2 of these coupons from the product website, but they wouldn’t scan and my store wouldn’t accept them.  I was leary when I saw they were .pdf and I was right.  Oh well.

        • Kim

I haven’t try to use mine yet, but I’m also leary that it printed out the full length of the paper (which I hated).  Thanks for letting people know they don’t scan.

    • Brooke

well ill go for the ragu if nothing else. this week was so awesome with triples.

    • Anonymous

do they allow overage if your coupon is more than the original price at harris teeter?

      • no.  the only way to get overage is by combining a paper coupon and an evic coupon- you can get overage from the evic but not the paper

      • only on the b1g1 sale items.  otherwise, no.  the computer will double up to the price of the item.

    • Lilinzaniac

Red Barron pizza is BOGO at Food Lion which is a better deal than the E-Vic. Not a huge fan of Food Lion but they do occasionally have a better deal even though they don’t double.

      • Anonymous

thanks for the heads up!  I hate Food Lion (So expensive and NC!) but I love Red Barron Pizza!

    • Vkostyal

Really its Buy 2 Ragu and you will get 3 Free??!!!!

    • Bbaxley05

if i buy 2 ragu’s then i can get 3 of them free plus a free box of pasta with the 2 different coupons

    • Jobi

If I get 10 Ragu Sauce can I use 5 .75/2 coupons or only 2?  I realize only 2 will double, but wondering if I can use coupons on the free ones. Also, can I use 2 of the free pasta coupons or 5?  Last question, is the limit of 10 items on the B2G3 sales per day or is that for the duration of the sale?

      • Phyllis

I went this morning and bought 5 Ragu’s. Unlike in the past, when I would be charged full price for 2 and then the 3 would really ring up as $0, all 5 rung up as $2.79 (not $2.19 like on the list above) with a VIC reduction of $1.67….I only had one coupon ( the $.75 off 2, which tripled at 8am?) so not sure just how many you can use. You can purchase 10 items PER DAY on the B2G3 dales.

        • Iheartfreebies09

Yeah, I went to the Hope Valley HT and bought 10, used 2 Qpons and my total came to be $6.82 with tax. My Qpons tripled also at 9:30 this morning at the Uscan. I left some extra Qpons on the shelf at both this store and the one on HW 54 near Fayetteville St. . Hope someone snatched them up for this deal. :)

      • Kczi3lk3

you can only use 1 of those coupons becouse you are getting 3 free for each deal.

        • guest

You can use 2 coupons if you have the 75/2 coupons on the B2G3 Ragu sauce because although they say it is free you are charged individually for each one.  But in order to get the 3 free you must buy two.

    • Angelascoupons1

If you have never tried the pizza dough balls that are on sale, try them now!  We buy them all the time and freeze them.  They are so easy to defrost and use for pizza or calzones.  My HT makes them in regular and whole wheat varieties.  Try them with some grilled chicken, BBQ sauce and feta cheese on top…..one of our best combinations!  I know ya’ll have some BBQ sauce still hanging around your stockpile from this summer!

      • Sam

If it’s like Trader Joe’s pizza dough balls, you can also freeze them.   I have been making pizza dough from scratch a long time but this recipe (from TJs at least) is hard to replicate.

      • Kim Skipper

where are those at in the store? sounds good!

        • Zinniasgive

I have found them at my HT near the deli counter (where the prepackaged pepperoni is). HTH :-)

        • Anonymous

they are up at the front in the deli section..i’ve tried them too and they are delicious!

    • Anonymous

I just got a $827.89 iPad2 for only $103.37 and my mom got a $1499.99 HTV for only $251.92, they are both coming tomorrow. I would be an idiot to ever pay full retail prîces at places like Walmart or Bestbuy. I sold a 37″ HTV to my boss for $600 that I only paid $78.24 for. I use http://blue.gg/5g

    • MDS

The B2G3 says limit 10……is that per DAY or over the week? Anyone know?

      • Marlene

It’s per day – they’re not linked to your card.

        • guest

but you need your vic card to get the sale price, are you sure that it is 10 per day?

      • heather

It is a TOTAL of 10, for the week.  And yes, it is linked to your vic card.

      • Phyllis

It’s just a sale price….not an e-vic special, not linked to your card. You could buy 10 per day. (In my store, the Ragu is $2.79, not $2.19)

    • Kelllynn

Has anyone seen the price of the minute rice steamers advertised for this week?

      • Anonymous

        2/$4.00

        • Kelllynn

          thank you!

    • Candicerenee526

Does Harris Teeter double coupons everyday no matter what as long as they are for less than .99????

      • Anonymous

yes, up to 20 per person per day

        • Candicerenee526

Thanks for replying, thats awesome I can’t wait to go… to bad I missed out on the tripling but doubling is still a great deal!

      • ktdog

Yes, up to .98 coupons double everyday, 20 a day limit.

    • Hannah McMillan

Wanchai Ferry was not on sale at our Harris Teeter.  I even went to customer service to be sure.  This happens quite often.  Some of the deals advertised on Southern Savers are not offered at our Harris Teeter.  I don’t know why this happens.

      • Sara

I always double check my SS list with my HT shopping list-this happens a lot to me as well. The easiest way is to just use the HT list and then run through the SS list for coupon match ups. Yesterday when I went though, there were things advertised at my specific store that didn’t ring up as advertised. I went to the manager who knows me and he was very apologetic. Makes me wonder if they would honor something a nearby HT has? I wonder how they break up the sales geographically.

    • tkraemer49

I can’t find the Ragu coupons in my RP :( the 75/2-  anybody know where I can get a printable one?

    • tkraemer49

How do I get a coupon from Waverly facebook page?  I already “like” them and I didn’t get a coupon emailed to me the last time I tried.  There is no place to click for coupon or promotion.

    • Just4yall

The ragu at my store was not 2.19 it was full price at 2.79 B2G3  I still ended up getting a great deal though. I had just purchased ragu yesterday so I thought I would ask if I could return them and get todays price. They said they didnt normaly do it but would this time. Thank god becuase it is so much cheeper this week. BUT they also said the only way to do it is to ring up the ragu I got yesterday at full price which was 2.29 but I didnt pay 2.29 I used 2 .75/ 2 coupons. I told them this and they said it didnt matter. So they refunded my 4 ragus and rang up 6 more. at 2.79 than added my 3, .75/2 coupons for the 6 i just got. I ended up paying 11.16 -9 in coupons 2.16 for all 10 which is .22c each.

    • Jess

On the ragu tomato sauce I have two 75 cent coupons that will double and a one dollar coupon off of two. At my store every item rings up at half price so it would put them at 1.12 a jar, so buying 6 of them equals 6.72. At the end it will be 2.72 for 6 for me, making it 45 cents a jar. Great Great deal!!!!

      • Karawtn

I actually came away with an even better deal today.  Since they are B2G3 free it makes them $4.38 for 5 ($2.19 a piece).  I had just one Q (the 0.75 off 2) out when I went to the register with 5 and a familiar Customer Service Manager checked me out.  I asked her if it would be cheating if I used another 75 off 2 Q and she said that it was fine.  I ended up getting 5 jars of sauce for $1.38 or $0.28 a piece.  If you have the 75 cents off 2 Q it’s definitely worth getting.  I am surprised HT has a great deal like this only the week after triples.  I LOVE IT!!

    • Kelllynn

Does anyone have any tidy cat’s litter coupons from 9/11 to trade? They were not in the RP in Wilmington NC.  Ive got a ton of scott and cottonelle coupons to trade, as well as tampax, always tide, gillette. please email me if interested, kelllynn.bianchi@gmail.com

      • Roatancoffee

I have 2 i can let you have,  how do i get them to you?

    • Girl631

its frustrating because my harris teeter near my house never has all their ads set/sales stickers up on the sale items so i always have to really watch to make sure all the sales ring up. its also hard to find things that arent posted on blogs as im walking through the store.

      • Katie

You can talk to your manager about this, I did and he makes a point to have an extra 3 people walking around at 6:50 am and putting up tags. (That way there is no confusion about prices for that particular sale)

    • Joy

I’m confused … is it a good idea to sign up/register  for HT eVIC coupons or not?  Does this mess with us doing our ‘mfg coupons, catalinas and other HT coupons’??

      • guest

It is definatley worth signing up for evic and adding the evic coupons to your card before every trip. you can use the ecoupons with your paper coupons for extra savings!! :)

      • Lisabluedevil

Tip – be sure to scan your eVic card before the cashier starts ringing up your items or your eVic coupons will not come off.  And, you can still use paper coupons on top of your eVics (also called ZVRs).

    • Ericab8

Did anyone see what the $$ was for the HT coffee which is B2G3?  Trying to determine if this is a good deal to head out there for.  thanks!

      • CouponKing

        $7.99 each so $15.98 for 5

      • Gretchen Marlowe

The HT coffee is $7.99 each. That makes five bags of coffee for about $16

    • Shelandon

Anyone find the c’s for Newmans Own Dressing? I can’t find them in RP 8/28…not sure if the publication is just different.

    • My2yungens

Has anyone else heard that they will be having SUPER DOUBLES next week?  Someone Iwould consider a reliable source told me that, but I haven’t heard it from anyone else.

      • infantteacher

A cashier and lady at service desk at HT in New Bern, NC said super doubles start on the 28th! They also told me the HT in Morehead City, NC will be rotating doubles and triples ALL winter to help bring business to the store there!

    • DukeBlueDevilFan

I have a question…as I was reading the comments about the triple coupon at ht I read some where people saved $80.00 on manufacturer coupons alone…if this is true then how can it be? If we can only use 20 coupons a day, and they only triple up to .99 cent then that wouldn’t be even $60.00 of savings if every coupon tripled was a .99 cent coupon. Am I missing something? If I am then PLEASE fill me in because I want to save more like these people!

      • S.B.

Actually they only DOUBLE 20 coupons a day. You can also use evic coupons and do not forget to include $1 or higher coupons.  They don’t double but they still count!

        • DukeBlueDevilFan

Yeah I see what you mean but even if they had 20 coupons that were for $1.00 and the dollar tripled it would only still be $60.00. And to be sure not every coupon they had was a .99 cent coupon-I’m thinking they were probably counting vic card and e-vic sales also. I just wanted to know the secret if there was one! Lol

          • Anonymous

If I have 80 $1 coupons, that’s $80 in coupon savings.  There is no limit to the number of coupons HT accepts.  Only a limit to the # that double.

      • Ardnasfu82

It’s possible they are counting the VIC savings into that, as well as the coupons that are over $.99. For example, the Purex 150 oz laundry detergent was reg price 11.99, it was BOGO, and then use a $2.00 off coupon. So, I saved $8.00 including coupons and VIC, but it had nothing to do with triples- just on sale.
        HTH

      • Barbara

        Multiple visits maybe?

      • guest

        I’ve never seen a .99 coupon. Most are .50 or .75.

    • Sierra_26

Do all Harris Teeter stores take CVS ECB or is it just certain stores? I didn’t see anything about it in their coupon policy!

      • Anonymous

It is up to the store.  Usually if the drugstore is really close or in the same parking lot, they will do it.  CVS and RiteAid bucks take a manager override.  WAGs scans right at the register.

        • Sierra_26

Thanks I called my store and they said they do because its a $$ amount off the total sale and not an individual item.

      • Justine

Harris Teeter only takes their immediate competitor’s coupons. If a store doesn’t have a pharmacy in it (like mine) we do not accept Rite Aid/CVS/Walgreens not do we accept Target (since the nearest one is 20 minutes away). Our only competitor is Food Lion in my area. Overrides may be permitted, it all depends on how strictly they follow our policies/guidelines.

    • Bbaxley05

what are super doubles that some people are talking about?

      • Sierra_26

they double coupons up to $1.98

    • Brecoupon21

I want to take the Ragu B2G3 to my local Walmart since we do not have Harris Teeter, but I need an ad that says how much 1 jar of Ragu is. Does anybody know how I can get that? Thanks so much!

      • Sierra_26

sorry I looked at my email and everything and none of them have prices.

      • Guest

walmart usually only price matches for “competitor stores”. if you dont even have a harris teeter I dont think they would consider it a competitor. a lot of grocery ads dont mention specific prices for that very reason, only other thing I can think of is going on the harris teeter website and going to the home shopping section to see the prices and print it out but I dont know if they would take that either

    • save-a-lot

I am in need of the ragu coupons.  My circular didn’t have them.  does anyone have any they aren’t using?  Thanks in advance soldbysamantha@gmail.com

      • Anonymous

go to the website making life better dot com, sign up then click on offers, then member only offers and you will find the Ragu coupon. You can print 2…there are also other member only coupons. Good Luck

        • LeAnna

TY so much for posting this.  I had not gotten the ragu-and it will be a good stock up.  Also b/c I have an evic Q for buy 2 country crock-get free eggs…they had the country crock q~Love it!

        • Rdaug

          does not work….

          • Anonymous

It should work…are u using the www (dot) makinglifebetter(dot) com? I just tried it and it does work…the (dot) means a period…Hope it works for you this time.

    • Rookie

I made a rookie mistake last night…..and I even knew better.  Just a reminder to learn from my mistake you must buy all 5 items to make the B2G3 offer work.

      • thompsons

I learned same thing today. And I tried to buy 5, and use 5 coupons, but I was told I can only use 2 coupons because I am only purchasing 2 items and can NOT use coupons for “get 3 free” items. I do not understand.

        • Anonymous

This has been a HT rule for quite some time…I remember when HT made a coupon change to allow one coupon on each item of the BOGO in May of 2011…I recall Jenny saying that they still allowed only 2 coupons on the Buy 2, Get 3. HT doesn’t specifically address this type of sale on their coupon policy but it would be nice if they did…as they have so many different types of sales that an updated coupon policy would be nice…

          • Justine

With the B2G3 sales you are not being charged for 3 of those items thus the reason you cannot use more than 2 coupons that are for one single item or 1 coupon that is a discount off for buying 2 like items. When we do the B1G1 your items ring up half price, even if that doesn’t come off until the end that is why you are allowed to use 2 coupons with those transactions. Since you are essentially paying half price for each item.

            HT cashier

    • Alex

Is there a limit on the meal deal, can we purchase the items more than once?

      • Justine

The meal is supposed to be limited to 1 per day per vic household

    • guest

      Today I got 2 Newmans Dressings, 2 Cambell’s Select bowls, 2 Fruit2Day juices, 2 9-oz HT deli thin roast beef… $6.86 OOP! :-)

    • Anonymous

The Hormel Bacon @ my HT in Albemarle, NC is $6.19, not $5.79.  It is still B1G1.  I hate being brand loyal to the most expensive bacon in the store, but Hormel pigs just taste better!

    • Anonymous

Also, our Huggies wipes are $3.99 not $2.99 for the 64 ct.  :(

    • Princessluv32

Ragu is 2.79 at my store!!  :(

      • guest

It’s 2.79 at my store too. But if you buy 2 and use the $1 off wyb 2, you get 5 for around .87 each. I think that’s how it works out.

    • None

Does anyone know if there is a Special K coupon for the evic this week?

      Thanks

      • Cheryl

        $1/3 Kellogg’s Special K Cereal, exp. 10/23/11 (RP 09/11/11)

    • Kim Q

I saw the totino’s pizza stuffers are 3/$10.   there are .75/1 coupons out there – makes them $1.83 each.    good deal!

    • Awall41402

Have Super Doubles starting 9/28 been confirmed in the Concord/ Charlotte area yet??

      • Kim

I rely on Jenny to post if there’s an upcoming Super Double and/or Triples (she hasn’t failed me yet…hehe).  If they were, she would of announce it by now, to get us all excited and to prepare our coupons.  Check back here weekly and you will find out when the next one coming up.

    • qdude

My HT in Morehead City is doing super doubles!  Went in this evening to poke around and what do you know, they had their signs up that this is a Super Doubles week.  Did pretty well, getting $137 for $60.

    • Veronica

okay, an e-vic question for you HT veterans, if I have paper coupons and an evic coupon and buy multiples will the evic apply to all of that item or just one like foodlion’s online coupons?

      • qdude

the evic coupon is just for one.

      • Merry

You can clear the shelves with the evic. Buy all you want!

      • Justine

I work for HT and an evic coupon just applies to one of that item unless it’s like “buy 2 and save $1” or something like that. But, I don’t even see those usually on the evic coupons.

    • Ljefferson

Cardini’s original Caesar salad dressing is on “close-out” for $2.17 (about half off) at Mayfaire (Wilmington) store.  Don’t know if that’s all stores or not.  This is only dressing my son eats so I stocked up.  But be careful – it didn’t ring up correctly.  Manager fixed it and actually gave me a free bottle!

    • like2save

I am new to couponing. How do i get the best deal on 2day drinks? Do I need a coupon for each one?

      • CouponFairy

The best deal would be for you to print off 2 of the 45 cents off coupons, they would double to 90 cents, making each drink 10 cents.  The $1 off 2 coupon won’t double, so that would make each drink 50 cents.

    • Lowes91

What does ZVR mean on my HT reciept?

      • qdude

        It is your E-Vic coupons.

    • Tryn2sav

I have  $3.00 off my shopping order from Kroger. Do Harris Teeter except that coupon?

      • Missjp1976

If I remember correctly they do accept coupons from other stores that are off the total shopping order, but you might want to check their coupon policy, because it does change from time to time.

they will they also except CVS ECB as long as its of the total order and not an item they will take it!

        • Katie

Most HTs are stopping taking ECBs because “CVS is not really a competitor because they are a drug store” This is strange because they still takes RRs- This was told to me by a manager at a store in Raleigh, NC.

Hi.  I can’t’ seem to get a single coupon from this list to print.  Is anyone else having trouble.  I have tried all of the suggestions from the FAQ, but none have worked.

I’ve heard from several different employees at HT in New Bern that they are having SUPER DOUBLES next week.  But, I’m a little concerned that Jenny hasn’t posted anything about this yet.  Has anyone else heard anything lately?

From what I understand, Jenny does these lists off of what her store location is doing.  Maybe your location is one of the few offering a special coupon promotion this week.
