as in first _________ to post something of no value

    • NewMommy

Wow, I'm excited!  Thank you Jenny :)

    • racecitymom

      disapointed… :/

    • Chelsie Mehok

Very disappointed. I hope tomorrow's list is better.

    • Guest

Double check your powerade printables, mine start with a “9” so won't double :(

    • Tyedyemomma

I am very excited about HT…..

    • Haven

I don't think this would be worth the hour drive. Ad looks pretty empty.

    • donna

There will be a lot of trips to use all of my coupons.  But when trying to feed numerous houses  It is worth it!

    • Ktbrady

This doesn't seem very good to me either. Bummer. Maybe the next ad will save the day!

    • funky

20 per day per person, or household? Do you need a VIC card to take advantage of the deals?

      • Cmroberts 0304

20 coupons per day per VIC card, and yes you do need a VIC card to get the sale prices, but sometimes you can ask at the customer service desk if you can use the “store” card b/c you have not received your card in the mail yet.

        • RachelB

You can not use a “store vic card” from customer service to take advantage of the super double promos or triples. It will only just double up to .99 cents. I had this happen to me when I left my vic card at home during triples in May and it wouldn't come up with my phone number. I caught it thank goodness and I just had them hold my items while I ran home to get my vic card. The reason is exactly why u would think because we all could just”forget” our card and hit every HT in town!!

        • Sarah

The store card won't double anything – it's specifically set up not to (because if it did, anybody could claim to have forgotten theirs at any time in order to get around the 20/day coupon limit).

      • tmj

Its 20 coupons per household.  My aunt just started shopping at Harris Teeter and  she lives with her adult daughter and family.  They had two different VIC cards but the same address.  Harris Teeter linked all of their cards together because of the same address.

      • Tiptip82

it’s 20 per household and yes you need a vic card

    • Rossjulie

I think this list is a great addition to the first.  Thank you Jenny!

    • Soniac803

Pedigree coupon is not printing $3.00 only $1.00 once you sign up.

    • Angelascoupons1

Shouldn't the Kelloggs Mini Wheats be $1 each….$3.99 B1G1 with a $1 coupon that doubles – it seems like you should be paying $2 for two boxes.  Am I missing something?

      • luiza

I saw that too, you are correct.

      • tmj

Jenny is saying that they are $0.99 each.

        • Angelascoupons1

I think she must have changed it. Originally, it was listed as $1.49 each. Glad it is an even better deal!

    • Angelascoupons1

Also, my Kraft mayo coupon (from Winston-Salem, NC) says $1 off two…not just one.  So the deal is not as good.  I will probably wait on this one.

    • Bec Zhang

Is this in addition to the first list?

      • Couponing Mommy

        Yep :-)
List 2 of 3 total for the week

        • Bec Zhang

          Awesome! Thanks!

    • Jamie Waldbillig

Thank you!  I have my twenty coupons ready for each day of the sale!!!

    • Steph

New to couponing…How is this different from the sneak preview?  Should I wait to make my list?

      • Couponing Mommy

Hi Steph, Jenny posts a total of 3 lists, all 3 will have different items (some will be the same) but there is no way to combine the 3 so you will have to make 3 separate lists from what she posts.  HTH

        • Steph

Thanks!  So, is the sneak preview reliable?

          • Paige

She gets the ad and then posts what will be on sale. Everything she does is reliable and legitimate.

          • Mary

Be careful with the first list.   I found last time that a lot of the items listed as “if the sale contines” were not still on sale.  Definitely have more than 20 coupons ready to go in case items from the first list are not on sale or in case popular items sell out before you can get to the store.  I had a “top 20” envelope and a prioritized “second choice” envelope when I went to shop.  I definitely ended up pulling a lot from my “second choice” group.  I also had a spreadsheet where I could write in the price next to my calculated coupon savings so I could see if it was a good deal (I could also organize my spreadsheet by category so I didn’t have to keep going down the same aisles.  It’s crazy enough to get down an aisle the first time on the Wednesday am the sale starts!)  It took prep time but it saved me a lot of time in a very busy store!

    • Belladonna197848

I am new to couponing.  I'm very excited about getting started.  Any advice?

      • Michelle

MAKE A COUPON BINDER. at first i was hesitant because i didn’t want people to look at me wierd, but it is the BEST way to be organized and see all your coupons! you can buy the insert at walmart or staples, but in my hometown they are sold out (For like forever) so i bought 100 inserts on amazon.com for $15.99

      • Angelascoupons1

Strategize…think about what will be super popular and plan to buy it early.  For triples, I went at 7:30 am and the store was really not that crowded.  I got what I needed and left.

I also create a spreadsheet of what I'm buying so I know how much I will be spending.  It helps to budget during these things b/c it gets so crazy with the deals…you could end up spending a lot, even though you are saving a lot.

I've estimated my overall savings (all items on my list) to come out at about 72%. Some items are free, so only save me 50%.  My goal is always to be at least in the 70s.

        • Joy

          What triples?

          • Angelascoupons1

HT had triple coupons back in May…doesn't roll around often.  The previous one was something like 14 months prior.

            • Joy

              oh cool! Thanks! :)

          • Michelle

she was talking about Triple coupons that Harris Teeter did a few weeks back.

        • Belladonna197848

          Thanks! I appreciate the advice.

    • Michelle

so it all starts at 7am on Wednesday..my friend wants to go at 6am, so we can be done and checked out by 7am. i feel like its going to be SO crowded. when is everyone going for the first time? just wondering. i feel like going at 10:30pm on a Friday night! (did that last time and had the store to myself!)

      • Steph

I feel the same way.  I'm afraid HT is going to be out of the items I want, so I want to go really early on Wednesday.  This is my first time, so I don't know when to go!

        • Mommy2Boys

I have 2 children, so when my 3 year old wakes up around 7/7:30, I pack them up and drive…across the street :).  I give my 6 month old a bottle and my 3 year old a poptart and choc milk and get my 20 items and leave.  I've never had a problem getting those first items I'm looking for.  Maybe its just my store though.

        • Rachelsb

I am in agreement with Mommy2boys. I have the same age boys too!! And I do the exact same thing:) We get there by 8am or so and they always have everything in stock and its not crowded. Don't kill yourself getting there,,,remember only 20 q's will super double so thats only 20 items per person per day. When u think about how many HT there are and coupons there is plenty to go around! Alot of the “free” items will be gone by late in the day at times but u can always ask and alot of times they just need restocked. Also I hit smaller HT's because the seem to not get hit as hard as the bigger stores with couponers,,,weird but true. I always find the freebies days into the promos at these smaller stores. Good Luck!!!

      • Angelascoupons1

I didn't find the store to be crowded early…I think it is worse as you get into the morning.  By 9 am, a lot of people are in the stores.  My advice is to go early – that is what I'll be doing.  Then strategize when to go again…if your store can tell you when they get shipments during the week, that helps.  I also had to try different HT stores to find different items.  Some will run out of one thing while another will have them.  You do feel like you are chasing down stuff all week!  I guess it all depends on how badly you want these deals…and how much time you have to devote to the “hunt”.

      • guest

my local store will be crowded at 6-6:30, many of the best deals gone in minutes. At 7 when the registers are programmed for the sale checking out will begin.

    • Michelle

Anyone going to the Harris Teeter in Wilson, NC early Wednesday morning for the deals? I might……have to be at work at 8am though…..

    • luiza

Appreciate this being posted so early, thanks!

    • Lindsey Hudgins

are the lance cracker creations still on sale? they were on the sneak preview one but they weren't on this one??? anyone know if the lance cracker creations will still be 2.00?

      • Amy

If you can't get to the store to check the tag wait until 3pm on 6/21. The Express Lane will be updated with the new sales price.

    • r.osteen

does anyone know a piggly wiggly blogger?

      • guest

I have not seen one but my Piggly Wiggly does not accept Internet coupons so I have never looked very hard.

    • guest

chocolate milk and a pop-tart?! PLEASE serve your kids nutritous foods – they will pay a dear price for such a bad diet

    • Rachelsb

This really isn't the place to be commenting on what people give their kids to eat,,,we eat very clean and mostly vegan but I do allow treats once in a while. How do u know this Mom is not doing the same thing!!! Its amazing what a little treat will do when u are trying to shop with two babies, coupon, and keep everyone happy. You need to chill out:)

    • Adamlee005

What should she feed her kids while riding in the cart? Whats to say she's not feeding her kids better food when they get home from shopping? Your a tool, keep your stupid comments to yourself.

    • Sarah

I can see I'm not the only one who is not impressed with the ad for this round of Super Doubles – but there's a ton of stuff I buy from the first post, and I'm sure there will be a bunch in tomorrow's list too.

      Thanks Jenny!

    • Margoren

And how do you know their diet in general (at home) is bad?
If I ever take my toddler to Harris Teeter, I get him a couple of their free cookies while I shop. However, once home, all of their meals are 100% home made and all made with fresh ingredients to include pizza. We rarely eat fast food (only on emergency situations). Not one of my 5 kids is overweight and they are all in excellent health. We cannot judge people by what they do is some ocassions.

    • Amy

This comment is inappropriate and lacks consideration. This is not the place to force your food beliefs on others and you certainly could have done so without resorting to such a rude and condescending remarks.

    • Judy

So are the deals from all three lists available all week??? Or did I miss something???

      • MarySC

Yes, all three apply all week.

      • EB

Yes, all three are for all week, but you need to realize that the first list often has things on it that Jenny is not sure if the sale continues past last week. (Many of HT specials are multi-week and they say on the bottom of the yellow tag the end date of the sale, but Jenny does not have a HT in her town to go out and check the end dates of sales) So there will be a few items on the first list that go off their sale and do not end up being the deal Jenny lists. If you want to be sure about something from the first list that says “if sale continues”, you can go in before the sale and check the end date on the tag for yourself.

    • Jenjcakes

is this going to happen in selected stores or every HT in NC?

      • Jatti

My HT in Wake Forest, NC always doubles the DND's.

        • Jessica

Jatti – The new HT on Cap Blvd or the one by Rex?  The Rex one looks at my coupons a lot closer than the new one does.  I guess it depends on the cashier.

          • Sarah

At the Rex one, an older lady went through and carefully examined each coupon–A highschool-aged guy just beeped everything through as quickly as possible without looking at anything. I haven't actually shopped at the new one on Capital yet, but if they are more lenient on coupons, I should!

    • clew

Quite a few things that are posted here that are going on sale that I was going to use my coupons on say “Do not double.”….in very small print lol. so just a heads up. Check your coupons carefully bc the last time I went to HT the cashier pulled out all of my DND coupons first.

      • Dbc2cl

If the coupon starts with a 9 it will not double if it starts with a 5 it will double automatically

        • Amy

Not if the cashier overrides it. Unless you know your store, I wouldn't try using DND5's on your first day or just try just slipping one in to see what happens. None of my area stores will double a DND5 but every store in my mother's town will.

          • LD

I'm confused.  Literally all of my coupons bar codes start with 5's!  These are coupons that I pulled from this list and the other, so what's up??  They will still double, right?

            • Paige

It depends on your store.  If the store I go to sees a coupon with the words Do Not Double, they pull it out and will not double it, call a manager over and override the doubling.

      • Angelascoupons1

A cashier at my HT pointed it out to me….I explained about the 5s and 9s…he tried my “5” coupon that said DND and was like, “gee, you learn something every day”.  I guess I am just lucky that the cashiers at my HT actually WANT to help people save money…they are not like the police trying to squelch couponing.

        • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_VOYGWHJD67ODILL7CZQ4URHNG4 M.A.

I’ve found this to be the case also. On more than one occassion, the cashier tried to tell me that if it says DND it won’t double and I tell them yes it will. When it does double, they are surprised.

When I ask about a store’s DND policy, I always get crazy looks, but I need to know before I shop which one’s which.

    • Judy

If the coupon is for $1/1 and the price of the item is $1 will HT allow the overage to go towards a second of that item or anything else you purchase???

      • Dbc2cl

        No

      • Savn2gether

Dbc2cl is right. Our HT doesn't allow any overage to go towards other items.

    • JTTLC

You can still use more than 20….they will just only double to .99 like normal …right?

      • EB

No – they only double 20 coupons a day (of any value) – you can use more than 20 but the additional ones will not double at all.

    • busy mom

hw often do they do super doubles..not sure if its worth the drive  2 hrs…even if i carpool  with a few moms and share gas

      • Noelle704

It's usually the last week of the month every month, however last month it was triple coupons instead of super doubles.

      • Dbc2cl

        3 times a year

        • Guest

They've been doing it about every 5-6 weeks lately.  It's been YEARS since they only did it quarterly.

      • Sajan

Here in Chas., SC HT does super doubles every 6 weeks.

      • HalfDozenMomma

depends on what's on your list and what's available when you get there…carpooling with 2 others would make it worth it for me.

      • Tiptip82

i’d say they do it about every 6 weeks.  for me, these deals wouldn’t be worth  a 2 hour drive but as someone else said it depends on your list and what you eat.  i’d also point out that the best deals will be probably be out of stock by 10 am wed morning. it would stink to drive that dustance only to find that most if what you came for is gone

    • Savvy Shopper

I went to HT last night and found 5 cans of Gerber formula by the register in the mark down carts for $9.99 each! These were originally $19.99. Always looking for a bargain, I asked the manager if that was the best he could do on the price…. I ended up paying for three of the cans and he gave me the other two for free!!!! So I paid $30 for $100 worth of formula!!!! AND I saved an additional $65 on the items I already had in my cart!!! It ALWAYS pays to ask!!!!!!!

    • Srgordon

T.G.I.Friday’s Popcorn Chicken 10oz @ $1.79, T.G.I.Friday’s Mozzarella Sticks Buffalo 10oz @ $1.79, Jose Ole Empaniada Chicken/Cheddar 16oz @ $2.89, Stouffers Sautes for Two 24oz @ $4.69are some that have printable coupons $1/1 hopefully this will still be on sale

      • Srgordon

Stouffers are $1.50/2 so $3.19 each really isn't that good of deal

    • ww

last time I went and got BOGO item they would not take 2 coupons. Has anyone else had this happen?

      • Jaime

Technically – as posted in an older post on here & other blogs – HT has recently changed their policy to accept 2 coupons for BOGO items and that has been confirmed with corporate.  If your store has been properly trained since the change you may not have issue.
However – this is not clearly specified in their online coupon policy so… if you want to ask for a manager, have them verify with corporate, etc… then you could probably push the matter.  If you are just buying a small number of the select items it may be easier to buy one per transaction and use one coupon, then revisit to buy the second one.  It 's up to you.

      • ju

that used to be the coupon policy but they have changed it in the last few weeks to take 2 coupons on a BOGO

    • Jessicacourtney1

Anyone hitting up Super Doubles here in Greensboro? We have soooooooooo many HT's here, I am trying to find the most coupon friendly one, I was told the one on Guilford College Rd & Friendly is pretty good, anyone else have any input? I was yelled at at the Jamestown one for using RR, but the one on Market told me to try it and if it works go for it….ugh!

      • Cdwooten

I live in Lexington and we go to HP they have all gotten very strict with what they will and won't let you do….all I can say is try it and GL!!!

      • sams

The one on Guilford college is fantastic and the one on Skeet CLub is good as well.

      • Julie

I go to the one on Pisgah Church the most.  It really depends on your cashier, but I've found most there to be helpful and coupon-friendly.  They don't worry too much about “do not doubles” and most will take 2 q's on bogo's even though their policy states they do not.

    • Jessica

Here are a few potential things I see just looking through my coupons and cheking HT prices online…
Old El Paso Tortilla Stuffers reg. price $3.69, coupon for -1.00 (SS 6/5) doubled makes it $1.69.
      M&Ms 9.9oz + reg price $3.79, coupon -1.50 (RP 5/22) doubled makes it $0.79.
M&Ms 1.14 to 3.27oz reg price $0.99, coupon -.75 (RP 5/22) doubled makes it FREE!
Marzetti Slaw Dressing 8 oz reg price $2.69, coupon -1.00 (June All You mag) doubled makes it $0.69.
Hidden Valley Salad Kit reg price $2.79, coupon -1.00 (SS 5/15) doubled makes it $0.79.

      • Margoren

My M&M's says “do not double”. My HT will not double those. But some stores do….

    • Mindy

Also, note that Harris Teeter doubles only the FIRST 20 coupons you give them. So, if you give them some of your coupons out of order then you might miss out on getting some of your coupons being doubled.

    • Jeannettaterry

I just started couponing like within the last 2 wks. I was so proud of myself when I did my first shopping trips with coupons. I went to Bi-Lo when they had their B1G1 sale going on. I got $120 worth of groceries for $52. Then last night I went to HT got $30 worth of groceries for $8.31. So far I actually am saving, just finding it very hard to find a site where I can email the coupons to my husband bc I dont have a printer at home. I like this site bc it tells me what sales are coming up but I am in need of some sites where I can email the coupon. Going shopping again tonight and need coupons.

      • Jeannettaterry

I didnt even realize HT doubles everyday which is a blessing when they have good sales going on.

      • Stacey37055

right click copy and paste the links ( pintable usually blue) inside an email … I do this when I am at work…email the links to my self then I just print when I get  home

        • Nisa Lauffer

Thanks!  That is a great tip!

      • Ibdqt34

How awesome! I'm amazed you just started couponing within the last 2 weeks and have had such amazing results! I wish I could say the same. I'm having a difficult time because every week the same coupons are posted but I've already used it. Any tips you can give to another newbie?

        Thanks!

    • Soniamcdougal

there's nothing importan to eat, it's just junk food, like cookies, not rice no oil, no beans, no fish. where is the advantage in that

      • **couponer

I see plenty of things; tea, tuna, olives, nuts, yogurt, etc.  You must have your negativity glasses on.

      • Guest

If you don't like what you see listed, you're not obligated to buy it.  You don't have to be all judgemental about other people shopping choices.

      • Jencolburn

I’ve been shopping for my family of 7 at HT for the past 3 years and find that it’s totally worth it to hunt down deals on healthy foods.  Generally, we save 2/3 off retail at HT.  Today we got 16 items including peanuts, whole wheat spaghetti, frosted mini wheats, dried banana chips, dried cranberries, guacamole, and cheese all for $4!  Good luck!

    • Save4them

Does Harris Teeter limit you to 20 doubled coupons per day total, or can you go to more than one store and get 20 doubles at each? I will only be around a Harris Teeter for 1 day and I want to get the most deals I can.

      • Jessica's Mom

You can only use 20 coupons total per day.  It doesn't matter if you go to another store.  If you have already used your 20 for the day, they will not double because it is all tied to your VIC card.

        • Rachele101078

I have two vic cards by accident but it works so I go to each store once per day during good sales and rack up 40 coupons total instead of 20. You could have your husband go apply for one under his name and use his like this, just a thought.

          • Sparklecat2009

While some people may do it accidentally or purposefully…..it does not make it OK. We are fortunate to have a store that doubles q's at all. People that bend the current rules often lead the store to make new and stricter rules. Just a thought!!

            • Rachelsb

I don't think there is anything wrong having your husband, roommate, partner, whomever get an additional VIC card. It does not state one vic card per household! Its one card per person. Everyone needs to relax,,,,you can only use 20 q's per day at most 40 if you have 2 vic cards. There are plenty of goodies for everyone!!!

            • I Heart Qpons

Have you verified this with HT? I can understand a roommate who would be responsible for providing food for himself or herself. However, it does seem unethical for a spouse to also have a card, for the sole reason of getting around the coupon policy. if it were me, I would verify that this was ok with HT before attempting to do it.

            • Gailygoo

Spouses cards are now linked. It is one per household and you must show your license to prove your address.

            • Guest

The ads and coupon policy state taht 20 coupons will be multiplied per day per household.  HT is not fond of household having multiple cards and they do take steps to attempt to link them together.  I know of several people that had separate cards years ago (old spouse card and new one for themselves, etc) and the accounts eventually got linked together so that they function as 1 household account.  Probably b/c of something like using the same credit card or bank card to pay for orders with both VIC cards often enough for them to see a pattern.  (my best guess)  You have to realize that HT loses money on doubling coupons (the manufacturer only pays them back for face value, they take a loss on the doubled amount).  That's why they have limits and that's why they don't like customers exceeding them – limits help protect their bottom line while still allowing them to offer these promotions.

            • HalfDozenMomma

As I read the policy, it DOES state “one per HOUSEHOLD”…wish it didn't, but it does.

            • Markeemark32

come on, seriously, every human is entitled to their own card. i dont like the coupon police stuff when it gets this ridiculous. my wife can stand in the line with her own card and go right in front of me and they dont care one bit if we use a total of 40 coupons between us.

      • Angie

20 per day double. Its tracked by your VIC card. Any coupon taken after the first 20, no matter how many transactions, or stores you go to, only ring at face value.

    • **couponer

Hi everyone! I have a question and wasn't sure where to ask it, so I'm hoping someone here can help me.  I am wondering if you can use a paper coupon with a p&g esaver coupon together on one item?  I have used evic coupons in addition to paper coupons on the same item before, with no problem.  But, I just found out you can load e-coupons from the p&g website also, and was wondering if it will work the same way?? Can't find anything on this when I google it either.

    • pedable

In my newspaper insert there was a coupon for $1 off Scott towels or bathroom tissue but it's for Dollar General, I know Harris Teeter will take competitors coupons, but does anybody know if they will double this to $2???  Thanks!

      • **couponer

I believe if it is a manufacturers coupon then it will.

        • pedable

It says on there manufacturer's coupon, it's worth a try especially since it only excudes trial sizes!  Thanks

      • Sparklecat2009

The coupon policy states that they will honor competitors coupons at face value but they will not be doubled.

      • Ibdqt34

I think the question pedable asked was will the Dollar General coupon double. The answer is no; HT does not double competitor coupons. They just accept them and will give you the $1 off.

    • stephanie

I have a question I have harris teeter coupons that printed at the register when I checkd out can I use that only with a coupon from the paper for the same item or not.  Thanks for any help

      • Sparklecat2009

No you cannot stack those coupons on the same item. They are both manufacturers coupons just derived from different sources.

        • stephanie

thanks thats what i thought just wanted to make sure

      • Geniebright

My Harrist Teeter let me.  Never hurts to ask.

    • mom

Just have to give a big kudos to HT for their Express online ordering and curbside pick up. Ours in Leland NC just started it and I love it! You can use your coupons-the only thing is they are taken off your next order which is fine with me. I have used it twice and had a problem with an item and they gave wonderful customer service, delivering a replacement item plus an extra to my home! For the $1.95 a trip all summer it's a no brainer for me. The only thing I miss out on are the things that are marked down. It takes me the same amount of time to do my list (once I've learned my way around the site) and I don't have to spend hours in the store matching things up and searching for the item. If they don't have something you've ordered they call and tell you what they have instead. LOVE IT!!!!!

    • Geniebright

I cannot get the Heluva coupon.  Says there is nothing available for the campaign.  Also, the Pedigree coupon only shows up as a $1 coupon for me.

    • Guest

do you know what time I can check out on wed morning to get the double up to 1.98?  i heard i have to wait until 7am.  is that true?

      • Rachelsb

Yes you have to wait until 7am to check out! Don't worry everything will be there if you get there before 9 or 10am:)

        • Mhmazzoli

Im in Charleston, SC and if you are not there by 7:00 everything is gone. Literally. Last time it was triples, I got there about 7:15 am and everything I had coupons for was gone except maybe two things.

        • Tcleveland

Not in NC,  made it a point to be at HT at 8:00.  no yogurt, napkins or cracker creations.  Wish I had slept in.

      • newextrem

yes its 7am I have checked several times!

      • Jtscoupons

as far as i know HT doesnt take the PG esaver coupons.  They only take their own and the savingstar ones, which dont come off on the register, just get credited to your savingstar account

        • **couponer

Hmmm… well Harris Teeter was one of the store cards to pick from to load them on… so I figured you could use it there.

          • Guest

I would say go ahead and try it out, but make sure you try it out on something you would want to purchase regardless of whether it works or not.  And then of course report back here to let us know what happened.  ;-)

      • Reneec11202

have you figured out whether you can use these and paper coupons. I too have loaded my VIC card just not sure how they will be used?

        • **couponer

            • **couponer

I just left Harris Teeter and bought a razor for which I had an esaver coupon and a paper coupon and the esaver did not show up on my receipt.  I am going to try to contact someone at P&G and see why they have the option to load them onto a Harris Teeter card if it isn't going to come off.

    • Delana

The Kraft Mayo, 30 oz, at $4.99 ($2.49) ends up being 1.50 each not 49 cents…Is that correct?? Did anyone get $1/1 ?  Mine was $1/2

      • Sara

I only received the 1.00 off 2 as well. Bummer.

        • paravel43

I noticed that too. The coupon is $1/2, not $1/1…

          • EB

I get two different local papers and one had $1/1 and the other had $1/2 so some people did get $1/1 coupons making it .49

      • Guest

Coupon values are regional.  Sometimes one area mght get $1/1 while another area gets $1/2 and still another area might get $0.50/1.

    • Heathers_147

If I have a coupon for 1.00/2 old spice products and a coupon for buy one deodorant and get one bodywash free can I use both? Im not sure about the 1.00 for two items already taking off for both and the other not scanning.

      • Guest

In order to correctly use both coupons, you'd need 3 products, maybe even 4 depending on how the coupon is coded and how the store likes to handle the situation.  It would not be appropriate to use both coupons on only 2 products since the $1.00/2 coupon already applies to both products.

      • Dawnelayne

my harris teeter will let you use both of these in conjunction and only have to purchase two items, the deoderant and the bodywash.

        • Guest

You HT is allowing you to commit coupon fraud and doesn't even know it.

Go to Atheno's Facebook for a new $1.00/1 coupon for their Greek Yogurt. This will double and mean FREE yogurt at Harris Teeters! Too bad they don't give overage, ours has them for 4 for $5.

VIC card question….I have never shopped at HT so I am wanting to try it out this weekend.  Can I get a card when I go into the store or do I need to sign up online?  Thanks!

      • Kristina

You can get one in the store at the customer service desk.

        • Mindy

          Thank you

      • LeAnna

However-just having a card will not sign you up for e-vic specials.  You need to do that on line.

        • Mindy

          Thank you

I've never had this situation before so looking for help. I have a BOGO coupon for a BOGO item. How does HT treat this? Do I have to buy 2 or 4? If I use 2, they are both free, right?

      • Sabrenapc2000

it doesnt work. you cant use it. save it for the next time.its already bogo

      • Guest

At HT as well as most other grocery stores in my area, BOGO items actually ring up half-price.  If you were buying 2 items that are normally $4.00 but on sale bogo, they'd ring up $2.00 each.  Then if you used a bogo coupon, they'd take off $2.00 for the coupon since each item rang up $2.00, and you'd end up paying $2.00 total for both items.  So the end result is that youd get 2 items for half the price of 1 item.

    • Guest

thanks for the 7am answer! happy savings!

    • Hddau99

Harris Teeter will not take other stores coupons unless it is a dollar amount off of the purchase.

    • Alinecoupons

Nature's Own honey wheat bread will be b1g1 and the horse Penn creek store in grensboro NC the bread man will be giving .55coupons that will double making the loaf less than .50 each :)

    • Malibu065

I have a question about the kraft mayo on the coupon it states you have to buy 2 mayo or miracle whip. how will it equal up to  .49 a piece ? please help me is it if you use both coupons.

      • guest

Some coupons were $1 off one… which will make them 2/$1 (.49/each). Other areas had coupon value of $1 off 2…..

      • Sabrenapc

becaue if it is watever price they are dividing the coupon and the price of the actul item. so if its 150 for two they are saying 75cents each

    • Turtle8315

I'm new to this coupon gig. If the coupon says at the top do not double or triple will they honor this? Some of the good deals involve these coupons.

      • Sabrenapc2000@yahoo.com

it depends on the store sometimes they will sometime they don't. you almost have to use it and see. just keep inmind your total before and after and pay attntion at the register always

        • bobbie

just asked my couponing friend this same question.  the answer is YES if the code under it starts with a 5 no if it starts with a 9.  how she knows this ?  but very important to know!  (Unspoken couponing codes!)

          • Carolina Coupon Mom

During Super Double's at HT, their policy is to NOT double coupons that state DND or DO NOT DOUBLE at the top.  However, unless the cashier goes through them and pulls them out, they will double of they begin with a 5.

            • Itsmecrystald

My cashier on Thurs did not look at one coupon and even the DND's went through. Today, the cashier scrutinized EVERY. SINGLE. COUPON. and would not take the DND's.

        • Turtle8315

          Thanks fir the tip!

    • Gina

If I'm using a $1.00/2 coupon (such as PopSecret), can I use that on the BOGO deal, or do I need to buy 4?

      • bobbie

It will take a $1 off 2 like coupon says, but most stores ring BOGO deals at half price each so still $1 off 2.  If you also had a coupon for some off 1 you could also use it!  1 coupon for each item  Its technically not free its ringing half price  so if it rings up then you can use a coupon on it!  hope this helps  Yes two coupons on 2 items  even if one of the coupons is buy 1 get 1

      • Nita Royal

You only need to buy 2, as the BOGOs normally ring at half price.

      • Pielcanela96

Gina from what I have seen on this weekend's shopping, you can just use one. On the BOGO free deals, lets say the item price is $3.00 and you get one free. Harris Teeter will split that amount, so it will ring up as $1.50 for each item. If you use the $1/2 cp, then you will be paying $1.00 for both items or $0.50 for each. You might not get it free, but I will pay $0.50 over $3.00 anyday :). Hope this helps.

I just printed out an oscar mayer hot dog coupon for a $1 of ONE not Two from the my coke rewards website. It was in the ads on top of the page. I only printed off one because I was busy and I need another one. I cant get the ad to pop up again. I keep getting all the other ones I dont want. Anyone know where to get the $1 off ONE not Two coupon. BTW im not talking about the angus one. I want the reg ones.

      • Carrie_C

I just saw it on redplum.com as an ad, not a coupon and it printed $1/1.  Hopefully it will pop up for you there.  Thanks for the post – I would have never noticed it!

How does this coupon  make the Powerade only .40 cent…wouldnt it come out to be about 2.70 cents or so if you buy 5….not seeing how $1 off 5 at B1G1 is going to make this .40 cent.  Can someone please help me figure this out so I dont go in the store looking crazy tomorrow:) Thanks!

      Powerade, 32 oz, at $1.89 (94¢)
-$1/5 Powerade ION4 or Zero, 32 oz PRINTABLE
      (makes it 40¢)

      • Just4yall

Im not sure why it says .40 Cents. When I did it, it came out to .54 cents. But it i supposed to be for each not for all 5! $2.70 is right for ll 5.

      • Blamurray

They are $0.54 each, not $0.40… I got them this morning

      • Fran

The Powerade coupon that I I printed is a 9-code coupon so it will not double. Be sure to check your code.

        • CLooney

will you explain what you mean about the 9- code.  I”m new to this.  Also, are there other codes that you know will not double?

      • Just4yall

I would like to correct myself. When I posted it being .54 I was thinking 5 not 6. Seeing how there BOGO you end up getting six. It ends up being .60 if you got your coupon to double .77 if you didnt. I got my doubled.

    • Samadio

Where do you get Kroger Home mailers,Kraft Food & Family booklet and the P&G Booklet?

        I'd like to know too.

Powerade is also BOGO if you add evic

It's been over a year since I did a SD/triples event.  Is it worth it to go after work (or tomorrow on my lunch break) or will stuff already be cleared out and long gone?  Thanks!

      • Dani

I got to my ht this morning at 7 and the shelves were already cleared of many items! I would say if you can't go this morning then you should wait until later in the week when your store has had time to restock.

        • aperture

          Thanks Dani!

      • Guest

It all depends on what you're looking for and how competitive your area is for couponing.

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_PBBGA4LC6AMS3DBKFYA5DN54NY Michele

stuff was cleared @  my asheville store by 10:15am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've NEVER had a problem til that show extreme couponing came out!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

        • beingjennifer

I'm in Asheville too. When do you suggest we try again? I'm not an extreme couponer, I don't even have TV, but I do like to get the best deals I can on the few things I get.

        • Ummguilty

Nice to see another couponer from Asheville on here.

        • aperture

This is what I'm afraid of as well…. :(

      • Nita Royal

I'm in Rocky Mount, NC, and know better than to even bother.  MAYBE I'll go on Saturday morning, after the trucks have reloaded.

        • aperture

          Good luck!

      • Just4yall

My store was cleared by 8 (the good stuff anyway). Call and ask when they get their truck in and go a couple hours after that. I live in a big city and there is only 1 Harris Teeter around so I guess im going to have to be an earlier bird when these things come around.

        • aperture

          Great idea, thank you!!

      • Frugal4eva

My store was pretty stocked today at 11.30am.  I was happy!

    • Barb

Quick question – does it take longer to check out if the coupon doubles to more than the price of the item since they have to match it to the price of the item or does the register do it automatically?  I have children and need to be prepared if we will be standing there awhile.

      • Guest

The register matches it up and adjusts automatically.

        • Guest

To clarify, if it will *double* to make the item free, the register does it automatically, however if the coupon's face value is higher than the price of the item itself (like if you have a $1.00 coupon for a $0.99 item) it requires an override.

    • Nes

Can anyone please tell me what the little M in the box means?

      • Jlaleonard

        manufacture coupon

    • Just4yall

I Figured it out $1 off Oscar Mayer wasnt an ad on my coke rewards website it was an ad on gsn! Too bad I already got them. I dont know if this link will work but you can print 2 and use 2 for the BOGO 3.99 hotdogs and get them free.

    • Fran

The Powerade coupon $1/5 is a 9 code coupon so it is not going to double.

      • CLooney

Can you explain what the 9 code is?  I'm new to this.  Are their any other codes to look out for that will not double?

        • EB

The code on a coupon starts with a little 5 or a little 9. (Often blinkies and peelies will have a 9) The computer will not double anything that starts with a 9 (this is true at all stores). One that starts with a 5 will be automatically doulbed by the computer, but it is HT policy to manually override this and not double it if the wording on the coupon says “do not double” (these coupons are often refered to as DND5 (or “do not double 5”). Some stores are very strict about the DND5, and some just scan all coupons and thus double the DND5.

    • Mommy25girls

My Harris Teeter had the G2 or Gatorade, 8 pk or 20 oz, $4.88 AND there was a coupon attached for $1 off which doubles to $2 off making it $2.88. Super deal on this!!

    • Teri

EVERYONE DO NOT FORGET YOUR RAIN CHECKS. I went in and everything that was free was GONE. I called my Grandmother and told her about it and she said I hope you got your rain checks. I forgot my Grandmother always told me about rainchecks. So I called the store back and they told me that I could get my rain checks as long as the item was on sale. So yes I will be going back tomorrown and if they are out of what I was going for I will be getting my rain checks and using it when the sale is over. Just a little something to make everyone is excited if they missed out on their free items.

      • guest

just know that the coupons over .99 will not double when you use your raincheck, unless it also during super doubles. Many items free or close to it during SD will not be so.

        • Marlene

You know I'd never thought of this what a great idea.  The coupon might expire but still get a raincheck and then use during the next super double event.
          Brilliant!

          • Marlene

I meant to say there's a good chance that there will be a new coupon you could use during next SD sale (not use expired coupon) – at least there's still a good chance you'll get a good deal.

            • maggie

everytime i go to ht, i make a list as i go down each isle of sale items that are out of stock… i may not have a coupon at the time or need it, but the rain check never expires.  this way, i can hold for when the store is doing SD or Triples.
another thing is if you get a rain check, you can get it for up to 3 deals.  try and see if you can get 3 seperate rain checks.  this way you are not stuck having to buy all three at one time.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=717997939 Daphene Morris

My Harris Teeter wouldn't take both of my Kraft salad dressing coupons, so I got them for .99 cents each, instead of ,45.  I don't know why, but this was very upsetting.  XD  The lady behind the counter said, “I'm sorry if it's confusing.”  I wish I was one of those people who could raise a fuss.  LOL

      • Guest

They recently changed their coupon policy on B1G1 deals, so if you bought 4 and they only allowed one $1 off 2 coupon, you should call corporate so that they can contact the manager and make sure everyone there knows about the change.  HTH.

        • Dee

I had the same problem last night.  And I told the assistant manager that their recently changed policy now allows this. He “told” me that they haven't changed their policy recently.  It was too late to argue… but I was so frustrated!

    • Erica

Does anyone know when the HT in Apex gets a truck in?  Wednesday mornings just don't happen but I want the best shot at the good deals.

      • Mweschler

Friday mornings are the best time to go.  They restock Thurs night.

        • Erica

The problem with that is work.  I need to leave by 7:15 am and shopping before that is way too early!  I might just have to go friday after work and take my chances.

Does anyone know if the Johnsonville Sausage coupon works on the sausage that's not in the yellow tray? The sausage I'm referring to is over by the lunch meat in a resealable package & has many varieties (chicken, andouille, etc.)  not just Italian (although one does say Italian on it)? Thanks.

      • Alacia

yes it does work for all of the Johnsonville links :)

Thanks, just used one (can't beat andouille sausage!)

Having trouble printing the tidy cats and general mills cereal coupons.  They say, when I click them, that I've already printed the number of allowed times.  I know for sure I haven't ever ever ever printed a tidy cats coupon and I haven't printed a general mills coupon in at least 6 months.  Can someone help with this issue?

      • Mike

Wish I knew the answer because the same thing happens to me! I wonder if clicking on the link directly from this site sends information to the coupon distributor, which causes them to think it's already been printed.

      • EB

Often that same message comes up when the coupon has reached it's max number of prints and you can't print one even if you did not print them before. I wish they would change the message to avoid this confusion, but that is their default message for either you printed your 2 already or there are no more prints available. With this being the end of the month, there are many coupons that have reached their max allowable prints.

Does anyone know the price of Oscar Meyer Hot dogs and Pepsi 12pks?

      • Joy

The hot dogs range in price but the lowest were the turkey frank ones $3.99 ea. buy one get one free

      • Kathyembry75

        pepsi's are $5.99
and im pretty sure that the hot dogs are $3.99

      • Dbc2cl

The hot dogs are b1g1 at 5.19 then your 1 dollar q doubled to 2 makes 2 packs 3.19

        • Jeannettaterry

Some of the Oscar Mayer are 3.99. The ones that are mixed with chicken and pork. 12 pack of pepsi are 6 and some change I think 6.19 but they have a sale going on buy 2 get 3 free. Got them the other night. Original price $33 after vic savings 13.40 for 5. Not bad if you ask me

    • Tryn 2 Sav

Does anyone know when they restock Items? My Harris teeter in Raleigh was wiped out :-(

      • guest

ask the store – they'll be glad to tell you. Grocery & cold could be different days. Mine grocery is tuesday & sunday mornings – cold is daily for some, mon wed fri for others.

      • Teri

I called my store in Rock Hill, SC and they said that they only restock at night between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. I went again today wasn't able to get anything. I'm not even going to try and go again tomorrow.

    • Dawn Prince-Cohee

I just got an email from Chinet with a $1 coupon. If you are already signed up with them, check whichever account. If not, register and see if you get one!

      • renee

        yes

    • Shelandon

Can anyone tell me if H.T. will honor this: I have a BOGO free coupon and than anothe r coupon for $1 off the same item….would I need to purchase just one item to receive both deals or split the coupon into two purchases? Both are manufacturer's coupons

      • mamabelbel

I am not totally sure if I am understanding you, but if you have a BOGO coupon and a $1 off 1 coupon for the same product then you can use them in the same transaction on a total of 2 items.  One item would be free and one would be $2 off since the $1 coupon is doubled.  Make sense?

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_72KVAC77KYW2DWJX7DB5GJAZLA Lacey

when there is a limit on an item, is that per card or per day?

      • Nita Royal

usually, it's per person, tracked by your VIC card

        • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_72KVAC77KYW2DWJX7DB5GJAZLA Lacey

          ok thanks

    • Jeannettaterry

I just started couponing about 2 wks ago. So far I have been doing ok. I find that it is a lot easier for me to go to the store around 10 pm being that I dont get off work till late and I can walk around and take as long as I want without having to stand in lines. The one thing I'm uncertain about is the competitors coupons. I know Food Lion, Bi-Lo, and Lowes Food would be competitors. Would Walgreens, Target, or CVS be considered a competitor too? One of the HT cashiers said they would so when they tried my coupons I got the infamous “BEEP” and not the good one. I had used Walgreens coupons. The cashier worked it out and just gave it to me for me free bc she or the night manager couldnt figure it out. Really frustrating!!! Well it happen again to me last night. We went grocery shopping got $120 worth of groceries for $52. Which for a newbie to me is great. But once again when we got to the register none of my competitors coupons worked. I used target coupons this time. I'm just totally confused and feeling like I may not be getting all my savings I could be getting although I am very appreciative for the savings I am getting just want to make sure I'm understanding the whole coupon thing.
