Thanks for all the lists.  Your match ups make it so much easier to make my list.  Thanks again for all you do.

      •  Hey there,
Thanks for the encouragement! So glad this list was helpful!

    • Alb_252

      Thank you!

    • gigi

THANKS SO MUCH! Me and my mother are planning a trip tomorrow together. We really appreciate it :o)

    • Savvybride1008

Thank you so much! Your lists are always so helpful!!

    • Cheryl

Jenny, thank you for this list. I stopped by HT on the way home to get some chicken and frozen fries for my son. I saw my favorite cashier at the Sardis Road location here in Charlotte. He mentioned we were having triples, but he said it was just a ‘rumor’… I thanked him for the heads up!! He is just so sweet, actually all the people at that store are wonderdul! Thanks again.

      •  Hey there,
So glad that you find the site so helpful, thanks for the encouragement! It is great that your local store has such wonderful customer service.

    • Yazpistachio

      Thanks!

BTW, the Carnation evaporated milk is listed 3 times! LOL

    • Jennifer

What time does triples start tomorrow?

      • guest

        7am

        • Touche810

If the HT is a 24 HR store will they start @ 12am?

          • No – The sale starts at 7 AM Wednesday … no matter if it is a 24 hour store!

    • guest

Thank you for all three lists! I have slacked off a lot with my couponing (just not going to the stores at all) and this is exactly what I needed to get back in the game. Thanks again!

    • Jessica

Uggghh! My HT doesn’t carry bar keepers friend, have a great coupon for it

      • Amyb

Mine doesn’t either, but when I asked about it at customer service, they said they’d order it for me since it was in the warehouse. Ask at your customer service. They have to order a case but you don’t have to buy it all.  They’ll put the rest out.

        • Jessica

          Thank you!!!!

          • Mtmkjr

If anyone has trouble finding it, it’s located on the bottom shelf under the mops and cleaning supplies.
I thought I’d find it with the silver cleaners and cooktop cleaners, but it wasn’t there…at least in my store.

      • Lina

        The 55 cent printable one?

        • Jessica

Thats the one!  I usually pay the full $4-5 dollars for the stuff.  Would love to pay $0.50!

          • Lina

wow really?!! They sell it at walmart if your ever in need of it..and its pretty cheap there…and bed bath and beyond sell it as well and you could use their 20% off coupons….

      • Just a curiosity question: what is that item?  I saw it on the list, but I was not sure exactly what it was.  Thanks!

    • Amyb

Does anyone have any mccormick coupons to spare? I can trade baby coupons.

    • Houstonerica98

is there a coupon for the sun??

    • Wcagoalie2007

when I click on the link for the lysol wipes it is for .50/2

      • Paravel43

I just noticed that too and came here to comment. I guess it’s still a good deal with the rebate which already gives you one free!

    • Ashleyjackson9781

Can’t find the eggo q. It says rp3/11 but can’t find :( was it regional?

    • Kcreviews

I love triples! I recommend getting to the store before 7am (just make sure you have your list because the ads won’t be out yet and they will not have finished tagging all the sale items) and load up your cart. This will help you get items before they are cleared. (I know, there are rain checks, but if they don’t get the item back in before next Tuesday, you can’t use the triple coupon.) As long as you check out after 7am it counts. HTH!

      • You can use the rain checks the next time triples comes because it never expires.  I’ve actually gotten rain checks during super doubles that ended up being better when triples came along because the value of the coupon dropped and I’ve seen it work the other way around too.

      • Lina

What if your HT is open 24 hours. Would the trippling start after midnight or at 7?

        • Lizeth1643

          7 am

          • Lina

            Thanks!

      • Noelle8818

I did my shopping at 6:15, and thank goodness I got there when I did.  I got the last of the Scott paper towels and Mardi Gras napkins.  And I only got 1 of each!

        • Noelle8818

Clarifying: I got there at 6:15, checked out at 7:05.  :)

          • Yazpistachio

Wow, My HT is not nearly that frequented. I went there at 6:30, the shelves were full, and I could probably count on one hand the number of shoppers besides myself. Most were men! I didn’t see if they had coupons.

          • Wow.  I found a HT in my area that when I went at noon today, they still had all but 1 of the items I came to get.  So glad you got a lot of your deals though!

    • Goodkristen

just a heads up on the lysol wipe rebate-looks like it is only valid for 35ct or 75 ct-the sale jenny has listed for the BOGO lysol wipes are for the 28 ct-they wouldnt be eligible for the free rebate

      • Artgrrrl77

i think the ones at ht are 35 count …but im not positive

        • Paravel43

I just bought them and they are BOGO – the 35 count. They rang up correctly, used a coupon and submitting rebate today! :)

    • Hydro

Only eggo coupon in the rp 3/11 was .75/2?? Was that mistake on the .75/1 eggo or does anyone know where can find?

      • Ipreferpublix

         regional

      • britta

I got the .75/2 also, though I will pair it with the $1/3 e-vic q. Still a good deal.

      •  Hey there,
Unfortunately the coupon inserts are regional and not everyone gets the same ones. We try to post as many coupons as we can that apply to each sale item so that we can give everyone the best shot possible at getting a great deal.

    • Dellis288

can’t find the coupon sargento cheese or any for sargento in the SS 2/26

    • Kristi0301

Hello!! I am new to the Nashville, TN area but LOVED HT back home in SC… Can someone let me know the “best” HT in the area for couponers? Is there one around that is more fully stocked and more couponer friendly? thank you for any tips you can give!!

      • CLK

I have had good luck at both the Brentwood location and the Franklin location. Franklin is my favorite. I have not tried any that are right in Nashville.

        • Kristi0301

Thank you so much! I appreciate the help!

      • tc

I went to the Brentwood HT today and got everything on my list.  The store was empty!!

    • Karla

I have looked through the list and dont see the finish dish tabs. They are bogof this week. Thought I saw them earlier on this list. Does anyone know? Thanks.

      • Artgrrrl77

they are not sale ended today …they were on first list and stated if sale continues

        • Karla

yes..it did say that but wondering if there is an update/confirmation if removed. i am new at this…thank you.  it looks like they are cheaper bigof with doubles than no sale with triples??

          • Marycansave

Yes, I stocked up on them over the past two weeks.

      • Oldspta

I was in the Raleigh store at 11:30 p.m. and the  night manager was upset because he had so much left and they would no longer be on sale.

    • Jessis mom

The Dole single serve fruit cups are not on sale but at my store in Charlotte cost 2.79 and I have a .75/1 Q that still valid which will make them .54 just thought I’d share.

    • Savannah

I can’t find the Planter’s Nutrition bars in the store at all!  I tried to scope it out tonight and I could not locate them in the granola bars, the nuts or the snacks!!  Please help!

      • Jessica

could they be where protein stuff is close to the pharmacy?

        • Savannah

Maybe…my HT does not have a pharmacy so I am not sure.  I will look where the protein stuff is though…I haven’t tried there yet!  Thanks for the suggestion Jessica!

      • Tiptip82

At my store they are with the cereal bars

      • Marnieh

Those coupons usually say do not double you may want to check them.

      • Guest

Why didn’t you ask at the store? An employee will lead you right to the item.

      • Walkingonwebs

try a larger ht.  mattews festival has them.  top shelf isle 3 in granola bar section.

        • Walkingonwebs

oops those are the new nature valley protein bars……i would still try a larger  ht.  may have been disco because of a reset.

      • I could not ever find the coupon.  I hate to miss out on such a good deal too!

    • Jessica

Can you go back several trips in one day or will your vic card restrict you?

      • 1bigsaver

You can go as much as you want but can only triple or double 20 coupons a day.  If you are wanting to use more than 20, you will either need to spread it out over a few days or you can use them all at once but only 20 of them will triple

      • Paige

You can only double/triple 20 coupons per day, per card.  Each day you can double 20 more coupons.  All of the others more than 20 will be redeemed at their value.

    • VLG

So excited – couldn’t sleep! Happy Shopping, Couponers :-) Thank you Southern Savers for all you do!

      •  Hey there,
Thanks for using Southern Savers, so glad you are enjoying couponing!

    • Walkingonwebs

fyi rosina coupon says do not double :(

      • gigi

it tripled for me this  morning :o)

        • Kcreviews

          Me too!

      • Cfoster1212

        mine did…

      • dukefan914

Mine also tripled this morning.  I was hesitant but it started with a 5.  So, I went with it and it tripled :) Also, I had coupons for Sargento ultra thin slices but my HT in Morehead City, NC does not stock those.  Thought I’d give them a trial on the regular sliced sargento on sale for $2.50 and it worked!  So, bags of sliced cheese for 25 cents :)

    • Lizardpak

Fiber one cereal is free with the $.75 coupon and evic coupon.

    • Kris

I just got my $10 off $50 from Recycle Bank (first one ever…finally!) Does anyone know if I can use this before my MQ’s (like give the cashier that one first then the rest of the coups). Doubtful that my total will be $50 after my coupons this week!  Thanks in advance for the help…

      • mamabelbel

I have heard that people have had success with them taking it before q’s but at the 2 stores I use, they always set it to the side no matter when I give it to them.  The coupon does read that the $50 needs to be after coupons, so there is no room to argue that point with them.  Consider yourself lucky if it works out for you.  Someone suggested purchasing a gift card with it, but my store wouldn’t allow this either.  Maybe if you purchased a gift card along with your groceries to make up the difference…?

        • Mtmkjr

The coupon does indeed say after coupons, but it doesn’t say you can’t purchase gift cards with it (most of the $/$$ coupons do say that).
So just buy a gc in your transaction, and if they say you can’t do it, ask them to show you on the coupon where it says that…

          • mamabelbel

They interpreted the place where it says “grocery purchase”  very literally and tried to tell me that the gift card was not a grocery purchase.  I think they were being silly since normally if gift cards, services, or other items are excluded they specifically exclude them in the fine print.

            • Trianglemom

The $10 off $50 Recycle Bank coupon is not to be used on giftcards.  The mod on another website I use contacted corporate and their reply was merchandise only.

      • Kcreviews

I think the small print on it says you have to use after coupons. That’s what I have always done. Although, if you stick it in with your other coupons, I think the cashier will just ring it through. If you’re like me, you spend $50 after q’s anyway. Good luck. And let us know.

    • Noelle8818

I used the .99/1 Scott towels, and the scanner did triple automatically. So I got the 8pack towels for $4.

      • Losingit

Scott Towels and Toliet Paper – my .99 tripled too!  I bought 2 packs of each.  GREAT coupon!

    • April

Some other good deals I found when I went this morning:

      Minute Rice – $2.19 less $.50/1 coupon tripled = $0.69
Velvetta Skillet Meals 2.99 less $.75 coupon tripled = $0.74
Dawn Detergent $0.99 less $.50 coupon tripled = free
      Texas Croutons $1.99 less $.40 coupon tripled = $0.79
Yo Crunch multipack yogurt $2.95 less $.75 tripled = $0.70
      Tuna Pouch $1.65 less .50 tripled = $0.15
Mardi Gras Napkins 250 ct. $1.99 less $.55 tripled less $.55 evic = free

      Happy Shopping!

    • Sarah O.

Love Super Triples!!!  Total was over $75 and I spent $13 and even got a few things we needed that I didn’t have coupons for.  Got almost all healthy stuff too.  BTW, if you got the .75 off two Wonka candy boxes, they are $1.25 each in my store so .25 for two boxes of candy!  I got four boxes and they are great for Easter baskets!  Also the Dole 100% natural fruit in a jar is a good deal (around .50 each).  I bought 3 and I got a catalina back for $1.00.  Happy, happy!

    • Tvernoni43

I am new to couponing and have a question, since most of my coupons are for $1 off, will HT grant me up to .99 on a $1 off coupon during triple doubles?

      • Tracie

No they will only take it at 1.00 face value.

      • Mywolfcubs3

        No sorry

      • Pamgam1

During triples they only triple coupons that have a value up to .99.  During super doubles they double coupons up to $1.98.  The two events triples and super doubles are 2 different events.  When they have triples, they do not have super doubles and vice versa.  If you were to use your $1 coupon ow, you would only get the face value of the coupon a $1.  You still can use it during triples and it does not count towards your 20 coupons use per day. HTH

      • Ant

$1 coupons are worth $1.  Anything under $1 doubles normally, triples this week.  So a .75 coupon that normally doubles to 1.50 is worth $2.25 this week.  Those $1 coupons are great during super doubles, when anything up to $1.99 doubles.

        Crazy, isn’t it? :)

    • Svetla

Lysol Wipes-the coupon is .50c for 2….so it will be 1.05 each

    • luv2save

Went to the Cameron Village store in Raleigh, NC this morning – here’s some of my deals and updates I wanted to share for others!    Total before evic, q’s and zvrs was 184.28 – spent $70.565 – also several things like Unstoppables, Glad Tranh Bags, K-Cups, etc that were not SUPER deals, but we really needed.

Renuzit Fresh Accents – the BOGO and .75/1q both worked.  THere is also a free rebate form on their site.
Lysol Dual Action wipes – the 35cts were BOGO.  So I used the 50/2 q to make them 2.09 for 2.  There is also a MIR for 1 – so that’s a really good deal.
Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner – BOGO and q was a good deal for two.
      Kleenex Hand Towels – 2.99 – .75q = .74 for 1
Dawn is FREE with .50/1q or still good deal with .25/1q
      Glade Carpet Deodorizer – 2.65 – .55q – 1.00 for 1
      Caribou K-cups 5.99 -2q = 3.99 for 12 kcups
      Snackwell’s Bars = .54 / 1 with q
NV Protein Bars = Both ZVRs were taken off, along with the q, making these .70 / 1
Horizon Milk q is for 1/2 gallon only, so won’t work on oz – I still got bc we love this milk.
Barilla Pasta/Sauce q works fine but remember you cannot use the pasta q with this also, i Had it in my stack and forgot to remove it.
Suave body wash is 2/4  use tehs B2G1 q and get 3/4.  I know there are better deals at some drug stores but this was easier for me to use today.
      Land of Lakes Hlaf n Half is a good deal 1.89 – .55 q

I am not sure how the silk creamer deal is supposed to work, based on the ips I have, so I passed on that today.

I also got a 2.50 off next order from Clorox – assuming its from Lysol purchases, a .75 of land lakes half n half, and a $1/2 kleenex to print with receipt!

      • luv2save

EEK!  Don’t make the same mistake I did – if you are planning to use the MIR for the Renuzit and Lysol – be sure to do two diff transactions since u need two recipts to mail in…oops….

    • Mywolfcubs3

I love these triples!!! Our Harris teeter didn’t carry the Quaker cookie bars. and the rice steam fresh wasn’t b1g1. And can u believe my store only had one box of quaker yogurt bars when they opened? With that said my bill was 123.03 before savings and coupons and i spent $10.62!!! It would have been lower than that but I got sour cream. Oh and the renuzit worked with b1g1 and the .75 coupon tripled

      • luv2save

there’s also a MIR for the renuzit on their website!

    • 1751

I went this morning about 7:45 am after dropping kids off at school. Lots of stuff was already out and empty- mardi gras napkins, minute maid oj, cereal bars, cake mix, wonka candy, grape jelly- all empty. I asked the cashier if they were busy at 7 am and she said not really- So i wonder how all that got gone in less than an hour.

      • luv2save

i was in the store at 6am and MM OJ was ALL GONE too!  Not crowded at all either…

        • 1751

I dont think it was bc of hoarders- i just wonder if the store decides not to put certain items out bc of the triples. And rain checks do no good really bc- its the triple coupon event that makes the deal good – so when the week is over- a rain check wont really help.. Last super double – i remember the day before scouting out some items, then the next day they were gone by 9 am ( nivea lip care, hefty bags, some milk and the garlic knots are a few i remember   – day after super ended- they are all back in stock. Is it possible HT just decides its more profitable to not stock those items for the week or is it a coincidence that the best valued items don’t get restocked during the week.

          • luv2save

I agree, I don’t think its hoarders either, like I said, I was there at 6am and only a handful of other shoppers were there, so it wasn’t like someone grabbed all the OJ or anything – I think it was just out from last week and not yet restocked or something.  That has happen to me at several super events.

        • EB8

The OJ was on sale last week and my local HT was out of it most of last week so I bet the supplies at the warehouses and stores were already low not even considering triples.

      • lmw

That is so frustrating, I just want to get a few things for my family and donate to the food pantry. There is probably piles in one lady’s garage. Thanks a lot coupon horders!

      • Savn2gether

I have run into the same thing. I don’t think the issue is someone grabbing everything in the first few minutes of the sale. I usually get there right around 7:00, and items are already out from the previous sale week. It would be hard for someone to wipe the shelves clean because of the limits HT puts on coupons. I don’t think some items ever get in stock during some of the sale weeks. Hope you were able to find enough to make the trip worth it! Good luck couponing!

    • Savannah

Just thought I would share with everyone how I did this morning….
Spent $35.63 & saved $109.88 so about 75% savings total!  Not too shabby!

There are a few things I would like to mention in regards to
      this list though:

      The Aidells Chicken & Turkey
Meatballs were not on sale at my HT which was disappointing.

It seemed as though people did not know about the Betty Crocker Cookie Decorator Icing & the
Dial Basics soap bars being so cheap at my HT so there was plenty to go around!

      Both the Nabisco Planters Nut-Rition
Heart Health Bars and the Quakers Yogurt Granola bars were all gone before 7
am!!  I guess people thought that they were
good enough deals prior to triples…

    • Guest

Great trip to HT this morning. The Mardi Gras Napkins were sold out and I got a raincheck but everything else I wanted was in stock. Spent $24.84 for $121.53 of groceries. Three deals I want to share that I don’t think are listed.

      Centrum Pro Nutrients Fruit Veg $9.03 – $5 mfg. cpn – $5 ZVR = Free +$.97 profit

      Texas Toast Tortilla Strips $1.99 – $.50 tripled = $.49
      Starkist Tuna Pouch $1.65 – $.50 tripled = $.15

      • Guest

By the way the $.50 coupon for the New York Texas Toast Tortilla Strips was from the April All You magazine that I just happened to get in the mail yesterday. Great timing.

    • Spencerkrhodes

There is a $.75 evic coupon for fiber one cereal – download it onto your card and the cereal is free :)

    • Savn2gether

I love HT triples! Just got back from shopping. FYI – I tried to purchase the bailey’s coffee creamer on one of the lists, and it did not triple. In all, spent $7.77 on $67.21 worth of groceries. Some of the best deals Jenny listed that I found in the store were: dole parfait fruit cups, mardi gras napkins, dawn liquid soap, international delight creamers, sargento cheese slices (only 25 cents!), quaker yogurt granola bars (I think a little higher than listed, but still a good deal), quaker soft-bake bars, and dial basics soap. Hope that helps anyone still working on their list!

      • Leigh

Thanks for letting us know the Bailey’s creamer didn’t triple – had planned to get that.

        • CouponFairy

I knew it wouldn’t the minute I printed it so I didn’t print another.  It starts with a 9, which will automatically not triple, and then it will cause them to read the coupon, which in fine print says Do Not Double.

    • Kcreviews

I saved more than I spent this morning! OOP about $68, but I did get some items on sale that I did not have coupons for.

My NC HT did not have the Halls cough drops on sale and didn’t even carry the Danimals crunch yogurt. However, I found a great deal on Dole frozen fruit bags–they were on sale 3 for $10 and I had a printable 95 cents off two, which tripled and made it $3.81 for 2 bags. This is a great price for frozen fruit.

      • Kcreviews

Also, our HT didn’t even have the right Minute Maid o.j. for the coupon. They had the cartons of juice, not the bottles.

        • ErikaOlsen

I used the coupons for the cartons with no problems!

          • Trianglemom

If you are referring to the $0.75/1 Minute Maid printable on coupons.com … its spesifically for the Pure Squeeze bottles and should only be used on those.

          • J.

That is coupon fraud.  the cartons are NOT the product that the coupon is for.

        • Jenny

I found the bottles of OJ not in the usual spot, but in a little side fridge at the end of an aisle. :)

      • luv2save

Check the Halls Cough drops again when you go back.  My NC store didn’t have them labeled BOGO yesterday, but they were this morning.

    • Ashleyjackson9781

My cashier told me before she even scanned the snack Wells and nutrition bars that they won’t triple my coupon.she had a pile of them at her register:( other than that did good. Oh my Publix didnt have the ultra thin slices but the coupon worked on regular thin slices. Spent. 15 saved 55! Thanks southern savers!

      • Jessieleealonzo

Just because a coupon does not “beep” doesn’t mean it is appropriate use.  Using the coupon purposefully on an item it is not for is coupon fraud.  It costs ALL of us couponers a lot more than that $1 you saved in the long run.

    • alicia

I want to get the 3 juicy juice 8 packs but I’m confused how you come up with them only costing $1.26 each… What am I missing?

      • Savn2gether

I think it may be a typo. You may want to go to the link and see what the coupon value is. If it’s really $1/3, that won’t triple, so it doesn’t seem like that great of a deal. Hope that helps!

    • YWillia

I went to my HT in SC around 6:30 this morning. I felt like I was late as there was a long line of others standing at the registers waiting for 7:00! I found everything I wanted, even the freebies. However, I did notice other items were completely out of stock. I was in HT last night so these are items that were not restocked. I just don’t want anyone to assume someone cleared the shelves.

I had a great turnout this morning, spend 12.67 on $87 worth of stuff. There were alot more people in the store just as I was leaving, it was kind of exciting to feel part of a coupon club/group.

I did notice that the Pepperidge Farm Cracker Chips were on sale for $2.50, using a .75/1 q, I got them for .25. I noticed no one mentioned that, maybe I’m the only one who likes these. (:

    • Denapolim1

Just got back from HT in MtP, Aidell’s Meatballs were NOT BOGO.  Rang up normal price $5.99.  Was this one a “regional” situation?  Also, make SURE you check Exp. Dates on bottom of Dole Crisps!!  I had to point out to the staff that they were all weeks beyond their exiration.  One was 12/2011!

      • Mtmkjr

The only ones BOGO on my EL are the Chicken & Turkey Meatballs – Sun – Dried Tomato

        • Denapolim1

          EL?

          • 4465

    • Coulbourn23

My HT had the Ragu on sale for $1.89. My .55 off coupon tripled, making them only .24 !!!!!!!!!

      • Guest

Where can i find the ragu coupons?

    • Alli

I had a great HT trip this morning! Was not able to go first thing so had prepared myself for empty shelves but was surprised to get EVERYTHING on my list, including the Mardi Gras napkins. I had a super helpful, nice and veteran cashier. A good deal I found not listed anywhere…Eat Think Smile granola clusters (normally $4.99 each) on sale 2 for $7. I had 2 $1.00 off coupons – have a system that does not include keeping all flyers so cannot list source/date but they were NOT printables. I also had an evic coupon for BOGO. After paying I realized the ZVR took off the original price of $4.99 so I got both bags for FREE!!

    • Jessica

My HT had coupons attached to the comet bathroom cleaner for .65 and it was marked down to 2.67 making them 0.44! I have only been couponing for 3 weeks and just got $100 worth of groceries for $20

    • Sillygurl1002002

If you have more than one e-vic coupon for the same item, will it take all of them off at the register or just one?

      • Jamie

        All of them.  :)

        • Sillygurl1002002

Very cool. Thanks! I might be able to get some stuff for free then :)

        • Armummy

That’s good to know, I thought it applied to only one item

          • Noelle8818

If you have 2 evics it will use it twice.  Ex. I have two evics for Fun-Da-Middles.  If I purchase 2 fun-da-middles it will discount it twice.  But if I were to buy 3, it would only discount it twice.

            • Guest

so you can’t use those 2 evics on only one fun-da-middle…you have to get 2?

            • MomOf4

It will take both off of one item.  Pretty cool!

    • Alysia

Question, I have a register coupon and a man. coupon, can I use both for one item?

      • mamabelbel

No.  Normally the coupons that print out at the register (called catalinas) are actually manufacturers coupons (not store coupons although they usually have the store logo on them) and you can not use more than one manufacturers coupon per item.  The exception to that is when you have an electronic coupon on your card and a paper man coupon together.

    • Kvhoover

Need a good coupon app for iPhone…. Anyone have good idea?

    • Kristensmall20

Thank you for all of your hard work!!!!! I just got 17 items for $6.80 total!!!! Most items were free! :) I love Harris Teeter triple coupons!

    • Kristensmall20

Thank you for all of your hard work!!!!! I just got 17 items for $6.80 total!!!! Most items were free! :) I love Harris Teeter triple coupons!

      •  Hey there
Thanks for the encouragement and thanks for using Southern Savers!

    • Guest

My evic coupon did not apply . I have some health issues so I could not pay much attention. What can I do ?

      • Mywolfcubs3

If u live close enough u could probably go back and talk to the manager on duty.

      • Lfriend81

that happened to me today on several items actually.  i went to the customer service desk and showed them my receipt, they pulled up my zavers from my card and refunded me the value of the zavers it missed.  Also because it had missed so much of my zavers i couldn’t remeber them all, they told me if i go home and check my receipt they will give me another refund, when i bring the receipt back

      • Guest

        Thankyou

      • guest

Go over your receipt and take your receipt to customer service. I have always found HT to have great CS. Not to worry.

    • brenda

The Healthy Balance Cranberry Juice was a steal at local HT in Monroe.  on sale for $1.20 for one.  used the $1 coupon off 2.  Got two for 1.40.  was planning my shopping trip and just happened upon the sale… bought 10.

      • Mae11

Keep an eye on the Healthy Balance “juices” that are one sale – the ones I checked are only 20% juice!  Better to go for the Old Orchard buy 2 get 3.  At least you’re getting 100% juice for just a bit more cost.

    • J Yauniek

Just got back from HT. I thought that they weren’t going to have anything left. But surprisingly I was able to get everything. I got the napkins, wipes, davidson’s eggs, mentos gum, several different kinds of yogurt, silk singles, lipton green tea, birds eye veggies, and a whole bunch of other things. Only spent 8 bucks and some change. I feel great. lol :)

    • Guest

I got 3 Totino’s Pizza Rolls for free! They are on sale for .99 and I had a .75 mq that tripled and I also had evics… yay. My son loves those. I also got him some Davidson eggs for .25 a dz, Land O Frost ham and turkey, tea bags, napkins… all kinds of good deals. I am taking the Kraft 12 oz cheese back though because I didn’t know it was $4.39 for 12 ounces (no coupon). I could have gotten the provolone, freshly sliced for less than that! Other than the price of the cheese, I had a great shopping trip! :)

      • Trianglemom

Why not keep the cheese and pay more attention to the price next time? HT will have to trash the returned cheese which would be a terrible waste.

        • Guest

The cheese was marked $2.19. The tag on the shelf was $2.19. I made sure I got the pkg marked $2.19. But when I saw that on my receipt and looked at the price online, I saw it was $4.39. WHO WASN’T PAYING ATTENTION???

          • Net1lei2

Take receipt back to HT… They will refund the entire cost, policy states that if an item rings higher than advertised they will refund the full amount!

            • Net1lei2

I have had to do this before, just go to customer service they will investigate(don’t get offended) they are just keeping people honest… then they will refund it to you!

            • Guest

It wasn’t advertised incorrectly. The cheese was out of place with the $2 cheese. What I’m saying is the $4 cheese was with the $2 cheese… that is why I’m taking it back.

            • ks

I would go back, that is too expensive, it isn’t your fault, it happens a lot.

    • dukefan914

Ok. I’m still relatively new at couponing.  However, I was proud of my spending $15.01 this morning and saving $73.45 :)

Anyway, my question is regarding evic coupons…if I have selected an evic coupon for an item will the computer discount that along with my .75 off coupon that triples making it $3 off or will I just get the $2.25?

      • dukefan914

Question number 2…has anyone tried the ball park coupons yet?  Just wondering if they have tripled for ya’ll?

      • Guest

You will get the $3. You can use paper coupon and your saved evic coupon. Evic’s are usually only for 1 item unless it states otherwise.

    • Nicole

With the new barcoding system on the coupons, how can I tell if it will triple?  I have Starkist tuna pouch coupons 0.75/2 from a tearpad.  They do not say “do not double” anywhere on them.  But the barcode does not start with a 5 or a 9 because it is the new system.  It is not worth it at face value but will be free tuna if it triples.  (I have a tuna raincheck).

      • Trianglemom

Unfortunately you cant tell, its trial by error or word of mouth. You’re in luck, I know that spesific coupon triples bec I used it today! I bought 4 packages and used a $1 raincheck.  I used two of the $0.75/2 tearpads. They self adjusted to the $1 price, scanned as $0.75 and tripled to $1.25.  Free tuna but no overage.  HTH.

        • Nicole

Yay!  That sure does help!  Thanks very much!  That is exactly what I want to do.  I have a raincheck for $1 pouches and I want to buy 6 pouches and use three 0.75/2 coupons.  Free tuna!  Life is good!

          • 6645

It didn’t triple for me yesterday, but I said something and they did an override.

        • Shelley

Actually there are two versions of this coupon. The difference is the length of the barcode. The ones that I got at HT have a barcode that goes all the way to the edge of the coupon (both rows). I got another from Food Lion (same coupon) but the bar code is different. The bar code on the second row only goes about 2/3 of the way. This one doubles automatically but the one from HT won’t double for me. I only use the HT version at stores that won’t double and save the Food Lion ones for stores that will. HTH.

          • Trianglemom

Thanks for pointing that out  The ones I have are the ones where the 2nd row goes about 2/3 rds.  I got it from HT though, not FL.  I guess it varies by store.

    • Bonnie

Has anyone had an issue with the Temptations cat treats coupons? The Q was for .50 which should have tripled to 1.50. However, the register took off the original .50 and then only an additional .10 instead of an additional 1.00. Does anyone know why?

My HT is in NC and everything else went fine except for the .55 Bailey’s coupon not doubling.

      • jane

I found one type of Temptations cat treats today for $1.39 and used the .50 off 1.  The register beeper and the cashier had to get an overide but it would have tripled had the cost been more.

    • Stacicass

I just came back from Harris Teeter triples. How do I figure out what percent I saved? I spent $45 and saved $61.Also, I learned that the rainchecks should be given before the cashier rings up the product — they had to credit back and re ring. It got confusing to make sure I got the full discount I earned.

      • Trianglemom

        Add the amnt spent and saved – $45 + $61 = $106.  Now divide the amnt saved through the amnt spent.  $61 / $106 = $0.574 or 57%.

        • Bonnie

Oops! Sorry for the confusion. I shouldn’t do math after 9pm. Triangle mom is correct. Always add what you saved to what you spent and then divide. Again, sorry!

      • Bonnie

        45 / 61 = 1.3555 or 136% Savings!!

        • Mtmkjr

           lol

      • Savannah

To calculate your percentage of savings you need to add the total spent and the total saved figures together to get an overall total, in your case it is $106.  Now calculate! $61 is what percentage of $106?  In your particular case, you saved 57.5%

      • Donna

I created an excel spreadsheet that I just plug in the numbers and it performs the calculations for me.  Per trip, month to date and year to date.  If anybody is interested let me know and I’ll e-mail it.  donnansmith (at) embarqmail.com.

    • luv2save

Does anyone know what the sale is for the lipton green tea?  Or is there one?  I read somewhere abt a deal, but maybe it was last week’s deal?  I checked today and didn’t see any lipton green tea on sales – or maybe it wasn’t tagged yet?

      • Nicole

I think you mean the 40 count Lipton green tea bags on sale for $2.29.  I think there is a 0.75/1 printable coupon out there.  I did not do that deal yet (it didn’t make my top 20 list).  On Harris Teeter’s website, you can use “Express Lane” to look up prices, including sale prices.  I don’t know if you will be able to find your exact store.  I use another location which is close to my local store.

        • luv2save

Thanks! Yeah I think maybe they were not marked with sales yet, I am going to check EL – it wasn’t on my top 20 either, so I didn’t worry about it today but will try tomorrow

      • Cheryl

The Lipton Decaf Green Tea (40 bags) is on sale for 3.99. w/ the .75 mq I got two for 1.74 ea. Great deal for decaf green tea!

    • Jlaleonard

Anyone else having trouble with the new coupon codes scanning at Harris Teeter? My internet printed coupons don’t scan at the register but scan at customer service? They try to deny taking them now if they do not scan?

      • Jweg

I had no problems yesterday with my internet coupons, hhhmmmm. Will keep an eye peeled on this, thanks.

      • ks

I’ve noticed that they work if they use the hand held scanner, maybe you could suggest that.

        • Jlaleonard

We tried the hand scanner and keep having trouble with them scanning. When they take them to their scanner at the customer service desk they scan. This only happens to the newest barcoded type internet printed coupons.

      • Alison

I had a nice cashier explain it to me one day. The shortest of the bar codes is the one that works for sure at Harris Teeter. Their computers haven’t been updated to accept the newer more secure barcodes, they are supposed to be updating them, so I’m guessing the people who haven’t had problems are going to stores that have already received the updates.

    • margot

I had a great trip and I went late last evening. The only item out of stock were the napkins, but I was not expecting them to be there anyway.

Just a note- I went to the Belle Meade HT in Nashville, they immediately pulled my Snack Wells coupon out of the stack and said they wouldn’t double it. She actually searched for it in my pile of coupons! And then a manager had to come over and override the double. (seemed like a hassle for cashier and manager).

Still not a bad price, but I read this happening to a few others with the same Q. They must have flagged this specific coupon, because i had others that said DND and she let them all ring up.

      • Caren

I shop at the HT in Franklin and the cashier took the boxes out of my cart and said that the coupon said DND.  They have never done anything like this before! I’m with you, I think they all flagged this particular coupon.

        • Ashleyjackson9781

Same thing happened to me at west haven. Frustrating all these people posting they were able to get them so cheap:(

        • Dee

Caren that would have made me upset.  I can understand if they aren’t going to double/triple the q, but don’t dare take something out of my cart.  I used to shop the Nashville HTs often before, but now the staff are rude to couponers so I avoid them unless the deals are super worth it.

      • Alison

I’ve never had a do not double, work at any of the Nashville stores. Every cashier I’ve ever gotten reads every single coupon. I do appreciate that they are consistent, I never feel tempted to even try it.

    • Wowformisty

Is it true that if you have two evic qs for the same product and you purchase one of those items, both q’s would be applied?

      • 3300

        yes

        • Wowformisty

wow thats GOOD TO KNOW.  Thanks for the reply!!

Day 2: A few more deals to share.

Good deal on Robitussin with the 3 ZVRs and one of the many q’s out there if you need the product.

I forgot I had the Hall’s ZVR so that went well with the BOGO and $1/2 q

Also the Frank’s Worchestershire (i can never spell this) sauce has a spcial bottle labeled 50% more free.  It’s 15 oz instead of 10oz for same price of 1.99 makes the deal with the q a bit sweeter

The Keebler’s Dark Choc Fudge stripes cookies are 2.99 – I forget the q value but it was a decent deal.

Also Ivory Soap Bars, Febreeze Set and Refresh, and Yoplait are good deals with Q’s and ZVRS.

There’s a. .65/1 comet bathroom spray peeilie, the spray is on sale for 2.99

And the deal on centrum pronutrients is great!! THe fruit and veggies box is on sale for $9.03 – $5q – $5 ZVR – $1ZVR = $1.97MM

Other deals I got today were the coffeemate naturals creamer, another lysol wipes since i needed a new one for separate receipt for MIR, renuzit adjustables ($1 each then B2G1q), single roll bounty towels, lipton jasmine green tea, blue diamond almond milk, silk almond milk (i get the kind that sits on the shelf so it doesnt have to take up fridge/freezer space – also the single mini silk milks are free with .55 q), barilla whole grain pasta, ban deod (look for 2.99 kind), alexia onion rings, MM OJ (restocked today!!) and LOTS of yogurts!

Total before coupons, vic card, evic ZVRS = 118.35
      Total OOP = 24.96!!!!!

I love this! SO glad to have found a community of other people who also appreciate, respect and enjoy couponing :)  Sometimes people laugh at the fact that I coupon, but hey….I am laughing too….all the way to my savings account!!! WOOT WOOOT!

      Hope this helps!

    • Gail

My H.T. pulled 2 of my “DND” Rosina meatball Q’s. I think they thrive off being able to do this. First of all, I didn’t even notice “DND”. I told the cashier  “Well, it doesn’t say it can’t be tripled”. She didn’t find it amusing…lol. She then called over customer service and they said if it states “DND” then they don’t triple it either…dang it  :(  Oh well, it was worth a shot. It’s funny how some H.T.’s will scan these through no problem and others will get out there microscopes to read the fine print. Anyone else have this issue ?

      • Brooke

Yes very frustrating. I have emailed corporate with no response because honestly, I think this policy is garbage. The way I see it is manufacturer’s only redeem the company for face value of the coupon NO MATTER WHAT. They never pay for the double or triple amount as this is a store promotion, not a promotion by the manufacturer’s. Basically, its a way for HT to get out of their own policy. I had never thought about it this way and thought perhaps HT had some legal reason for doing it (like it was illegal to double then when it says DND) but one day when I was in Bi-lo I asked the manager there if they double coupons if they say DND and they said absolutely because they are paying the double amount not the manufacturer.

My HT never pulled them until about 6 months ago. But the HT I occasionally visited about 25 minutes away did everything but pull out a microscope. I was SO disappointed when my HT started pulling to. However, I know my store and cashiers VERY well and there are a few that still pay no attention. I go at night because its when all the high school kids work and even the manager in the evening couldn’t be over 23 or 24 and none of them could care less. However, I think they are going to start getting more and more crap for not checking them so I am sure eventually it will come to a complete end.

        • ks

I have been told by HT that they will not double or triple those that say DND because the company will not give them any of the money back for the coupon because companies know that if people are allowed to double them then they will use way more coupons they they figure. Since a lot of coupons obviously go unused after they are printed, they can cut their losses basically unless they are doubled and then a lot more people will use them. They said stores can get in a lot of trouble for not following policies just like with all the counterfeit coupons going around. It is wrong to use coupons that say DND and double or triple them or to go at certain times when people may not notice. This is what makes product prices so expensive when they have to increase prices to make up for these losses.

          • NS

I have one thing to tell you guys. I know you get all POed about your coupons not double or tripling  You are brag about how you take advantage of tired cashiers but I know many people who lost their jobs because they went outside of Harris Teeter coupon policy. So while you are getting your couples of extra bucks someone who has a family to feed could loose their job. its all about prospective. I never complaint about that because they don’t have to double to begin with so I am grateful for what they do.

            Think about it.

        • Leahsauction

HAHA i love what u said about the night shift …me and my family do the SAME THING ..we also go within the last 2 hours of the store closing .. most cashiers are tired and just want to get thru ..ive had the most “scrutinizing bitty” -gets real leiniant at the end of the day

      • Cheryl

I got 2 bags of the Rosina meatballs today. My coupons tripled. YAY!! I love my HT stores here in Charlotte. :-)

    • Noelle8818

      Here’s what I bought

    • Jlaleonard

Watch carefully to make sure the coupons triple. I had a few coupons that  did not triple. They were either the  .75/1 El Monterey or the .75/1 SeaPak. Tying to figure which ones did not double.

      • mamabelbel

The Sea Pak one gave me trouble before.  Doesn’t say DND but doesn’t double.  You can ask them to override it since it doesn’t say Do Not Double- at least that is what others have told me to do.  Haven’t tried to use that q again yet.

        • 4465

it didn’t triple for me today and i said something and they did an override for the $1.50.

      • guest

The sea pak .75/1 is not tripling but it does not say DND so they did override it.

    • Diane

I have coupons for $.50 off Minute Rice and the frozen rice steamers are on sale for $2. So I’m getting the frozen rice for $.50. So quick and easy. Love it.

    • Cbrumbeloe10

Ok still do not know what a ZVR is.  Please unconfuse me

      • guess

ZVR are HT evic coupons.  You can get them by going on HT website under evic coupons and attaching the ecoupons to your card. You will need to register your card first.  You can use an ecoupon and a manufacturer coupon. When you see it on your receipt it will say zvr.

    • Cbrumbeloe10

yeah I wasn’t able to triple my Rosino coupon and a Jimmy Dean Breakfast Bowl coupon but I couldn’t get mad b/c it says DND on the coupon. I imagined alot of folks don’t take the news with as much grace as I did (poor cashiers lol) :-)

    • Audley79

My harris teeter in fayetteville is usually really great about restocking, but today over half the stuff for triples was cleared.  :(

      • guest

I think a better word for “cleared” is sold out.

      • Carriearmywife

I usually go to Fayetteville….I will be heading to Aberdeen instead.

      • Lina

Ugghh..really?! I was planning on going tomorrow too!!

        • Cheryl

    • guest

Great day at HT. Yesterday I got stuff for my son, today me… I got lots of great deals! Actually, I got only “healthy stuff” for a lot less money!!

    • Mmtlash

Is the 20 triple coupons per day limit per 24 hour period or actual day? For example could somebody use 20 triple coupons 8 pm Friday then go back Saturday morning for more triples or do they have to wait until after 8 pm Saturday?

      • jan of nc

Your “account” with HT resets every night at midnight.  I have gone on an evening and then again the following morning and the coupons tripled just fine.

        • Mike

          Nice! Thanks so much!

          • Jj11

actually it resets at 7 am i was told this buy one of the managers because my coupons did not double during super doubles last time and i told him i used my card at 1030PM the night before and he said the all reset at 7am

            • Mtmkjr

It’s actually somewhere between midnight and 2 am or so.  It’s done at corporate, and it’s the registers that reset, not each individual account.  Someone at corporate actually triggers the reset, which is why it isn’t an exact time.  When it happens all the registers start making clickity sounds and they shut down for a moment.  During that time, only U-scan works.
I got a detailed answer from a night manager once, when I was hurriedly trying to use my 20 coupons before midnight.  I thought that after midnight it would count for the next day and I’d lose a day of triples.  She reassured me that it never  happens right at midnight.

            • Leahsauction

wow your store stays open late?? ours closes at 10pm

            • Jkk1110

I have 2 stores near me that are 24hrs.

        • Cheryl

Yes, its 20 coupons per day. the day changes at midnight… so how could it be otherwise???

      • Leahsauction

great question ..now i know ..ive always wondered!

    • Mary

Whoo Hooo. Friday evic for $6.47 for 12 roll Scott bath tissue limit 2. Used  2 $.99 coupons that tripled so I got 2 packs for $3.50 each. I love my HT they were restocking a lot of stuff his morning including the Mardi Gras napkins, Dole Fruit Jars/cans, Yogurt, etc.

      • Couponking@yahoo.com

I used my 5 dollar off courtesy of scott.. I wish they triple it LOL…paid 1.99 for mine!

    • Super Couper

      Dear All,

Please don’t clear a shelf! I went to the store Wednesday night with two of my friends and many shelves were already cleared. I don’t clear shelves and I donate my extra stuff to a local organization. I can’t imagine the need to clear a shelf! Take what you need.

      Jenny,

Thank you for all your awesome hard work!

      • Cheryl

LOL on that. I went Wednesday after work and I got the last box of Quaker Yogurt Granola bars. Only one box was there. I had one coupon. It was so far back I had to ask someone to get it for me. Well, there was nothing on the shelf after I got the last box. I don’t call it “clearing a shelf”… They just sell out of items during the day. You said you don’t clear shelves but you donate your “extra stuff”. huh?

      • Guest

I think people are thinking there is a lot more shelf clearing going on than is actually happening. I haven’t seen any evidence of this at the 2 HT’s I shop. There are limits on the number of coupons for like items. I think what’s really going on is that if there are items that are particularly good deals and your not able to go to shop until Wed. night or Thursday morning there are enough people that are able to shop during the day Wed. taking only 1 to 3 of an item (a reasonable number) that ends up emptying the shelf. No one person is clearing the shelf. There are a lot of people shopping. None of the stores I shop have what I consider are large amount of shelf space for any one particular item. I know my store stocks for Wed. and then gets another truck Friday, in fact I went this morning and they were restocking the shelfs. I shopped Wed. during the day and was able to get everything I wanted except the Mardi Gras napkins. They only had shelf space for about 10 packages so 10 people buying 1 package would empty the shelf. 10 people is not a lot of shoppers. When I went today just to get one of the evic specials the Mardi Gras napkins were restocked and I was able to get the 1 package I wanted. You need to ask when your store restocks during these events and try to plan your trips as best you can closest to when they restock to have a better chance at getting the items you want.

      • Ml218

i don’t see how it is possible to clear a shelf at HT with the limits.  i
mean if there are only 2 items left and i have 2 coupons, well i’m
getting those 2 items.  i’m sticking to the rules, so how it that shelf
clearing?  why don’t you try another HT. i went to a different store this morning and even found items my normal store doesn’t stock!

        • Lucy

we only have one harris teeter in our county . it sucks

      • Guest

As others have stated, it’s impossible to clear shelves with the limits HT sets.  The fact is, there are a LOT of couponers.  Even if 10 people went and got the 3 coupon limit that’s still 30 items gone!  I got at my HT at 630am Wednesday, and I took the last 2 mardi gras napkins.  There was only room on the shelves for 12, and they had no more in stock.

If I can’t get there first thing in the morning the day of the sale (Even on a non coupon event) I just expect there not to be any left in stock.

      • Cheryl

Oh yeah, you also mentioned you went to HT with 2 of your friends… I guess that was 2 of your family members with vic cards. Don’t put your “pity party story” on here about people clearing shelves. I’ve never heard of anyone going to the grocery store at night w/ friends. You went with the intention of “clearing the shelves”. That is obvious. Just watch the dates of what you buy… when the stuff you have bought in the past starts to expire, please give it away before it goes bad. ~~~

        • Onethriftydiva

My friend and I go to the grocery store together during these events…just sayin’.

      • Bowslayer2

some times you have to think outside the box. i called the store the other day and talked to someone in the freezer section. i had been there several days for an item that i just happened to be missing, they told me the truck was unloading this morning and to call back at noon, i did and they said that the product was there. i asked them if they could save me 3 of them and i’d be by after work,  and they said yes, just come to the back and tell them that we’re saving it for you.

    • Cheryl

I had 2 coupons, .50 on 2 cans Dole pineapple. The 8 oz cans are .99 ea. I got 4 and got back a .50 catalina. That made them .115 p/can. Good deal on fruit! :-)

      • Couponking@yahoo.com

did u get any catalina like the 50 cents off next purchase courtesy of dole and one off 3 dole purhcase any size??

        • Cheryl

I got a .50 off my next purchase, courtesy of dole… I also got one for $1 of 8 dole pineapples which I will probably not use.

        • Cheryl

I wish I had gotten one for $1 off 3, I’d use that. But $1 off 8 is not a good deal. I put canned fruit on my salads… unlike most folks, I love salads!! So glad to get those 4 cans for .11 each!! Dole, thank you!!

    • Amy15

FYI, the McCormick vanilla on sale is big one for $7.55, not the $3.95 size. So it won’t be free but $1.53 each. Regular price is $4something at Walmart so this is still an awesome deal!

      • Ml218

Not necessarily, as my store has the $3.95 size B1G1

    • SaraNOVA

Just got back from a GREAT run to HT this morning. This was my second triples run so I wasn’t expecting to do as well as I did, but I found some great deals and freebies!
Carefree Liners – 50cent printable coupon from coupons.com (seems like it was newly added this morning). I got 2 20-count packs for 9 cents each!
Silk almond milk – I was able to use the 75 cents off one coupon for a FREE quart of shelf-stable almond milk (regularly $1.79)
Silk 8oz singles – Was able to get 2 more of these FREE, for some reason coupons.com must have reset the coupon today and I was able to print two more this morning!
The comet bathroom powder has a coupon sticker on it for 65 cents off one comet bathroom spray. The spray was on sale for $2.39 at my HT making it 44 cents!
I spent $5.35 on over $30 with of groceries today. Was a smaller trip, but I did really well. All the other coupon match-ups were ones already listed by Jenny, so no surprises there, but still great deals to be had.

      • Maureen

Where did you find the Silk Almond Milk coupon?

        • SaraNOVA

Got the silk 8oz singles coupons from coupons .com and got the 75 cents off one from silk’s website. hope that helps!

    • sam

I was so happy today the Cary NC Cornerstone store was totally restocked this morning!  Every single thing I couldn’t find on Wed and Thursday was in stock.  The only thing I couldn’t find was wonka/nestle candy, and I don’t really think we needed that…

    • Rach3lbu11man

What stores have people found the Discover a Great Buy Booklet in?

    • Couponking@yahoo.com

welch had theirs on sale at amelia 2for3 ,, got four coupons for 50cent off a bag of welch, got 8 bags for free..

      • Couponking@yahoo.com

        four for free!!! not eight**

    • Losingit

Does HT issues rainchecks on your personal EVic specials too??  Hummm?

      • erin

Yes, mine did yesterday. I had the e-vic special for 1 lb. Harris Teeter butter for 1.97 (limit 2). They were completely out of butter so I got a rain check for 2 at 1.97/ea

        • Losingit

GREAT!  The Scott towels are on my evic specials but they are on pretty much everyones list this week anyway.  They might be gone.  Going to check it out after work.    Thanks Erin!

    • Couponking@yahoo.com

harris teeter has 2 for 3 suave shampoo,, have 4 (.50c) coupons .. got 4 for free..

    • Cheryl

My purchases today were awesome!! I got 1 Quaker Soft Baked Cinnamon Roll bars (I had one coupon and one was left when I got mine), 2 Dawns, 1 Suave, 1 Nature’s Own Honey Wheat bread, 6 bxs Totino Pizza Rolls, 1 pkg Rhodes (12 pk) frozen dinner rolls, 2 bags of the Rosina Meatballs (yes, my coupon tripled), 7 YoPlait Light yogurts, 1 4-pk YoPlait Greek yogurt, 1 dz Davidson’s eggs…including tax, OOP, $8.22~~   is that a great deal or what!! :-)

    • Cheryl

BTW, I had two coupons for the Davidson’s eggs which made them .25 p/dz.. I had them in my cart. I kept running in to an elderly couple that were doing there “clipped” coupons. After I saw them about the third time, we chatted and I gave the lady one of my coupons and the eggs and told her it was only a quarter. That’s better than giving it to charity. If you have extra coupons, put them with an item…maybe somebody needs it.  If you don’t need something that’s a great deal, pick it up and give it to someone you see couponing, an elderly couple, etc. We’re all on the same planet and have the same plan, to save money. And if you see an elderly person in the store, help them out a little… I didn’t need those eggs. I had my one dozen for a quarter. It was worth a lot more than a quarter to see the smile on that lady’s face. :-)

      • Snowbunnyninja

        Good comments Cheryl,
I did this during Super Doubles last time.  I had gone every day and picked up 3 Smart Balance milks for free.  I still had 7 coupons left on the last day I went and my fridge was plenty full of milk, so I found some cute little elderly ladies to give some to as well as a mom of 3 kids.  They were incredibly thankful.  This is waaaay better than clearing the shelves and giving to charity by far in my opinion :)   I have noticed more and more people leaving coupons for others in the store – it makes me smile.  I left 5 Enfamil coupons today in Teeter.. hopefully someone was able to make use of them.

      • luv2save

Great suggestion.  We don’t have kids yet but  I still clip the coupons more related to kids and pass them out to parents OR leave them on the products for others.  So nice to share the good deals for items I won’t use myself!

      • 28086

I have done that many times and it gives me a great sense of satisfaction to see those appreciating faces.  It its true what Jesus said, “Its better to give than to receive”.

      • CECE

Precious idea!  Your post made my day…..its all about blessing others!

    • Mike

I have 2 coupons for items  that I wasn’t able to find a spot on the shelf for (I’m in Cary, NC)
      – I have a Starkist Autentico tuna coupon (didn’t even see a space where they should have been)…does HT carry this type?
-Any1 know where the Pop Tarts Mini Crisps are? I didn’t see any (nor any empty spaces) for them with the regular pop tarts or in the cookie aisle

Any1 know if HT carries that type of tuna and where the P.T. mini crisps r?

      • Mike

went to 3 different HT and didnt find even a space for the starkist autentico so I figure HT must not carry them but I did grab a box of the mini crisps! :-)

      • Katherine

The HT in Cornelius, NC  does not carry the Starkist Autentico tuna or the Pop Tarts Mini Crisps either!   However the e-vic alert Saturday special is Pop Tarts for .97 limit 2 and you need to buy both to get the special price.

        • Jessdare101

You don’t have to buy 2 of the e-vic itmes to get the special price. You can buy 1 and get the price. If you want 2 you just have to buy them in same transactions.

    • Mike

btw any hope of HT restocking those mardi gras napkins by Tuesday? I’ve been checking every day but there’s a huge gaping hole where they used to be (like 2 4 foot shelves completely empty lol)

      • DianaY19

Ask when they get a truck in.

      • Maureen

I have heard that HT restocks nightly when they have an event like tripples or super doubles. I have had luck by going crazy early in the morning when they are restocking.

      • Mike

So this morning I woke up obscenely early for a Saturday (7 am lol) and went to my usual HT and left empty handed b/c the same things that have been out since weds are still out. However I went to two more Teeters a bit further away and managed to grab a pack of 500 napkins (out of the 250), a pack of the Quaker Yogurt Bars (54 cents after coupon) and a pack of Pop Tarts mini crisps ($1.85 A.C.)

        • Mike

the 500 Mardi Gras napkins ended up being $1.79….not bad considering the normal (when they aren’t on VIC special) price for them is $4.99!

    • Jane

I have a problem.  I checked over my receipt and 3 of my .75 scanned but did not triple.  Also a .50 did not triple.  I had 18 coupons–one for $2 which I knew would not triple.  What should I do.  They were not DND and I do not have another coupon of the same type–.75/6 WIskas.  Advice please.

      • Knowitall

Wiskas coupons are not tripling automatically. Something about those new barcodes makes them not triple.

        • bbf

Will HT do an override for those new barcodes so they will double/triple?

          • Marlene

You could ask – but it probably depends on the store.  It’s the invisible “9” which used to clue us in that the coupon won’t double.

            • Ukgirlintn

I got the whiskas deal on two separate shopping trips – I had to get them to overide the coupons each time…it is a great deal, but make it known to the cashier that they are not tripling and they will fix it for you :-)

      • Bonnie

On my trip I had 3/.75 coupons for Nathan’s fries and 3/.75 for 6/whiskas cat food cans. One of the sets of .75 did not double but I do not know which ones.

Did you use the whiskas coupons as well?

        • Jane

Yes my only .75 coupons were for Whiskas.  We have 2 cats so it was a top 20 for me.

    • Keriberri

Question:  I have 2 HT in my town.  If I use 10 double (triple) coupons at one store, then go to the other store the same day, will I still have 10 that will double (triple)?  I wasn’t sure if it just recognized that you were at the store that day or if it actually keeps up with how many have been scanned.  Does anyone know?

      • Jenna

Yes it keeps track on your card so you’ll only be able to triple 10 more at another store on the same day.

I went to the HT in Cary NC (Harrison Ave) and they had all but 3 items that I had coupons for!  Today was the first day I was able to get out.  Before coupons $39.59 after coupons $8.54

Temptations cat treats 1.27 VIC plus .50 off MQ tripples so the cat treats were free! The VIC price was for only one certain flavor though.

What’s a good stock up price on Windex Multi Surface Cleaner? SS3/25 theres a coupon for .55 cent off one multi surface windex
cleaner. If I used it, it would tripple to $1.65, they sell it for $3.15
making the final value cost $1.50. I think it’s a good price
considering I buy this stuff all the time. I’m just trying to figure out
what’s a good stock price for it, and has anyone seen it cheaper?

      • Cheryl

Lina, if you use the product all the time, then it’s a good stock price for you. That’s the way I see it.

        • Lina

Cheryl, thank you for that..I should be like that about all the stuff I buy. But when I hear people buying clorox bleech for 47 cents, i get so mad that how could i miss that deal? When I bought it for 1.00 which i thought was cool, but I know it could go cheaper than that…but I always have a dilemma of either the coupon expires and i wanna use it before it does, or the sale is over.

          • Yazpistachio

There will always be deals you miss! BUT, there will always be more deals tomorrow!

    • Cheryl

I have enjoyed this triples event at Teeter! Have only been to two different stores, Sardis and Cotswold here in Charlotte. Such good CS!! Went to Cotswold today. Got lots of great deals, including the deli Provolone Cheese that is on sale for 3.97 p/lb and the HT deli turkey on sale of 3.97 p/ lb. Got lots of other items and used 15 coupons. Spent $16. YAY… Even better than YAY, the cashier was so nice, none of my coupons dinged and they all doubled. Best trip at the Cotswold store because Sardis has always been my favorite. (I gave up on Central Avenue LOL)… Anyway, I shop for myself and my son and it sure helps to use coupons in times like this. Loven’ HT!! :-)

      • Cheryl

I meant all my 15 coupons TRIPLED!! :-)

        • Lina

          LOL, we figured.

Raleigh, I need to know which Harris Teeter store is fully stocked during the sales. I get tired of going to the falls of neuse store everyday looking for the sale items. They never restock.

      • Bluebug828

get rainchecks.  That way you can get the sale price when you actually need the product.  Doesn’t help for the coupons though.

      • luv2save

It could be that they restock but people clean the shelves as soon as they know a truck is in.  I was in the Cary store and they had just restocked and I saw two sisters and a mom getting about 15-20 hot sauces between the 3 of them.  And there were only abt 5 left when they moved on.

I do seem to have better luck at Cameron Village in Raleigh though.  In the mornings usually.

        • Keriberri

I don’t live in Raleigh, but I spoke with a manager at my store yesterday and he said every morning there are 10 ladies lined up at the door waiting.  When they come in, they wipe out the shelves.  Of course even with the 3 like coupon/item limit, that would be 30 items gone in flash.  No wonder they can’t keep it stocked.  :(  I don’t really think it’s people “shelf clearing”.  It’s just several people going after the item at the same time.
It does make it hard for those of us who can’t be there at 6 a.m. every day though!

          • luv2save

Agree! I know its not possible for one person to shelf clear.  But if you go in as a group to use multile cards it’s pretty easy to do so.  It’s all part of the adventure I guess – I just wish they would maybe restock throughout the day and not just at 6am.  Because by the time I get there at lunch or after work, I have missed the restocks.

Another idea  – seems like stores could check out sites like these leading up to big events and see what we are matching up with their sales / our q’s – and just get large stock of items like the napkins or whatever items are going to be free or super cheap.

            • tryn2sav

I agree with you luv2save. I used to work in a supermarket years ago. I always used to check the sales ad and coupons to see what the free and low price items were. We used to have so much overstock in the back it was crazy. So we always had those items on hand for a few days before they got brought up by customers.

      • Guest

I live in Raleigh and feel the same way. I have gone every day for the past several days and every time I go, they are out of stock of everything – it can be VERY frustrating – btw, I frequent the Wakefield and Capital Blvd stores.

    • Geriberibear

I have a rain check for an item for $3 each.(reg 3.99) That same item is on sale this coming week for b1g1 free. can i use both? OR will the rain check overide the b1g1 sale?

    • tryn2sav

Anyone ever go to the HT in Wake Forest? I wonder do they keep a good stock of sale items.

    • leftysgirl

Be careful ladies. It’s hard for me to shop with my little one, but I am glad I calculated the groceries in my cart as I shopped today. I calculated my total to be around $3 for $35 worth of groceries, and the register ran up $14. Long story short, I went to cust. service, and they refunded me the rest. Went through every coupon, and the system did not triple correctly….I can’t wait for this next promotion to run again!! <3

    • Mel

Went to my HT for some Wisk & Scott toilet paper today. Had eVic for both. Wisk 50oz – 3.97 used $2 off & Scott 12 rolls was 6.47 ( I don’t really remember, but something close to that) and used the .99 printable coupon. I figued even if that coupon didnt double, my family needed it now and less that 50 cents a roll wasn’t that bad. But I had a nice cashier and it tripled anyways (: about 3.50 for 12 rolls of TP. Made my day

    • Lina

There are just tooooooo MANY couponers in Fayetteville NC…lol I had to add that in there..cuz everyone and their mama was at HT and nothing was left…well at least from what I needed to get..I did score two bottles of Dawn Dish washing soap.
