2009_upromise-ecoupons250x250Upromise has loaded their January eCoupons. They have over $45 dollars in coupons this month. Load them now and have them saved for any purchases during the month!

These are a little different than the other e coupons:

  • You can use them at almost any store!
  • The money does not come off at the register but is put into your Upromise account.
  • Load as many coupons as you want, there is no limit.

Why use Upromise eCoupons?
Normally when you buy something that gives you money back for college it gives you .03 -.10 cents. With the eCoupons you are
significantly increasing the amount saved.

Can I use a coupon too?
Yes! These are not tied to coupons or discounts in the store.

I don’t have a kid…
Not a problem. We had a Upromise account for almost 2 years before our kids were born. Once we had kids we went in and changed it our of our names to our kids names. Grandparents can also sign up and have it go to their grandchildren! We have 3 sets of grandparents all saving a little bit for our kiddos. You can change the beneficiary at any time.

How much can you really save?
Well, you aren’t going to send them to Princeton just from your savings, but it can be a nice chunk of money by the time they get there. It depends on how much you remember to use their system. We have been a member for almost 6 years and have over $3000 saved. Since we have 3 kids this won’t go very far but it is $3000 that we didn’t have to dig up to save. (No it’s not all from e coupons, they just started the e coupon system last year.)

      • Amy

        1. log into your U-promise account at http://www.Upromise.com
        2. add all grocery store/drug store card numbers
        3. on left hand side look for e-coupons link
        4. click & select desired Qs then click activate
***you can then redeem at any place you have a card registered in your account!

        • heather

Can I use other coupons for the same products?

          • carol

Yes, you can use coupons along with the Upromise ecoupons.

    • Amy

I have signed up for upromise and put in my publixs card number but how do I load coupons onto it? When I click the link it keeps telling me to join now. So I went to home and logged in to my account. But then what? How do I get to the coupons?

    • SELINA HARPER

      does this cost anything?

      • Amy

        no

    • Gabi

      Amy,

go to your account and look on the left side of the screen for “ecoupons”.

    • Sharon

I am already a member. How do I get to my account?? The page just says to join click here. I don’t see a place to put in information for members.

    • Lisa

As far as I know, there is no Publix card, so how can I load the coupons onto my store card? Help?

      • Rebekah

Lisa I picked mine up a while back and just found it again lying around in my room. Just ask around at Publix. You can also input you FL,Bi-Lo,CVS,Kroger card (and some others) onto your account.

I’m so excited I finally did this. I am going to save for my friend who just had her last child on 12/23/09. Her first girl:). That makes 5 for her and I hope to help her lil Anye go to school:)

    • bhumi

same here, i a member but i dont know how to load the coupons

    • Ashley

I only see 1 page of upromise coupons. I usually have more, but I can’t seem to access the ones you are referring to.

    • Rebekah

so you can use paper Qs as well with these?

I think I had a problem when I loaded Qs from Cellfire when I went to Kroger..I was able to use my B1G1Free on Always Pantiliners:(..

(That’s okay though because I donated the higher quantity to Harvest Hope Food Bank because they are in need of them.)

    • Kristy

would the publix card be the school card?

      • Amy

No, Publix has school cards and seperate U-promise cards. I would ask at customer service, that is where I found mine.

    • Lindsay

I have known about the ecoupons, but what are other ways to save money in your account?

    • tammy

Do you use the Upromise credit card?
Did you register your “other”credit cards with Upromise? Safe?

    • Lana

I tried to sign up for U-Promise, but it wanted all my credit card information and I am a little leery of handing that out…but it looks like no one else here had to give up their credit card info?

      • carol

I have been a Upromise member for several years. You can enter your store loyalty cards (Bi-lo bonus card, Kroger plus, etc) and earn rewards and redeem Ecoupons without giving out your credit card numbers. If you wish to earn rewards through online shopping, the few brick and mortar retailers who give rewards, or the restaurant partners, you generally receive your rewards by paying with the registered credit/debit card.

I just thought of an idea. Upromise assigns a guest link for online shopping to each Upromise account (with the idea that you can ask friends/relatives to shop at participating sites through the link and you will receive rewards. Perhaps you could shop through your own guest link and earn rewards without giving Upromise your personal account numbers.

        • Lana

Thanks so much for the info Carol…I will look into it again. I have had my credit card info stolen once (through an online merchant), so try to be extra careful.
          Thanks!

    • Ginger in Law School

I have a Upromise account to go towards my Sallie Mae student loan. I have only been a member for two months but already saved $60! It is safe to register your credit cards. I also registered my parents’ cards as well. Use the registered cards for the online purchases and when you buy groceries and gas. Sign up to be a preferred diner (free) and get money in the account when you eat at participating restaurants. All this info is on their website. It’s worth taking the time and checking everything out.

    • Meghan

I am new to the UPromise thing too, but i did read that if you connect your debit card, you only get the savings if you use it as a credit card. If you type in your pin you won’t get whatever Upromise gives you.

    • Meghan

New question. I am new to Upromise and I went to link my student loan account and see there are only two bank options. Does that mean that if I don’t have one of those loans I can’t use it to pay for my student loans?

    • I see Penn easily taking Hughes, Kos, and more than likely fitch at WW.
