This weekend I had the pleasure of trying out some new and delicious products from Jif!  They’ve launched two new hazelnut spreads – Jif Chocolate Flavored Hazelnut Spread and Jif Mocha Cappuccino Flavored Hazelnut Spread.  I have to say, it was really hard to put the lid back on the spreads once I opened them to try.  I used some Graham Crackers to make a Jif Sandwich and it was amazing!  I’m not a huge marshmallow fan, but I have no doubt that adding one to the sandwich would send it to the top of the list for a lot of folks.

In my opinion, the Jif Chocolate Flavored Hazelnut Spread was even better than some other chocolate hazelnut spreads I’ve tried before.  It would also be fantastic drizzled over Pillsbury Chocolate Fudge Brownies or as a syrup replacement over pancakes.  If you’re looking for a way to spice up your hot drinks, this could be a solution for that, too!   There are endless ways to use these new spreads… The Chocolate Spread is a little thinner in consistency, so it would be perfect for drizzling on or dipping your favorite foods.  You can even dip your favorite fruits and veggies in either of the spreads for an alternative slightly healthier dessert!

If I haven’t fully convinced you of all of the different ways you can use these spreads, Jif already has some ideas and recipes ready for you to take a look at.

Or … so many ideas – not enough time!! :)

I think I would spread it on some homemade banana bread! Yum…

    • Mflanigan75

My son has CP and loves hazelnut spread! I add it lots of his foods for the calories. He really loves it in oatmeal and on pancakes. I was thinking it would be good in no bake cookies as well. Because alot of times i leave out the cocia but this would be a good way to still get the chocolate taste.

    • Leah Berrong

I would put in on Waffles with Banana’s

    • Ronda

I think I would like to drizzle the chocolate flavor over a bowl of vanilla ice cream, sprinkle some slivered almonds and mini marshmellows and enjoy. Could also replace  almonds with crushed graham crackers.

    • ED Conway

I would use it on top of waffles with bananas and strawberries on top for my 3 year old daughter. I’m pretty sure that would be her idea of food heaven.

    • Kathy

Sometimes I just need a little chocolate, so I would just spread it on graham crackers for a light, sweet, chocolate snack!

    • kaliio

Jif Mocha Cappuccino Flavored Hazelnut in between buttered toast and fried up like a grilled cheese for a quick dessert. For a more fancier approach i’d fill wonton wrappers and quickly fry them and dust them in some powdered sugar.

    • Cchance6

You could spread either of them between vanilla wafers, then drizzle a design over them and serve.  Would resemble some of the more expensive cookies on the market, but a little healthier.   For a quick treat, spread some on the miniature rice cakes for the kids.  Might drizzle some over fresh stawberries for a nice treat too.

    • MeganC

    • Michmuro

    • To be honest, I would most likely just eat it with a spoon right out of the jar! It would be awesome on a banana or on pancakes for a sweet breakfast. I also love to bake, so I think I could make a delicious frosting out of both flavors!

      tub of cool whip
      peanut butter
      powdered sugar
      cream cheese
      little bit of milk

using the chocolate flavored hazelnut spread instead of peanut butter.

The second recipe I would spread the graham crackers with Jif Mocha Cappuccino spread and use the graham crackers laid as a base in a glass Pyrex dish. Drizzle strong Folgers Black Silk coffee over the graham crackers. Prepare Mascarpone cheese filling for an Italian Tiramisu. Top the dessert with cocoa powder. Eat!
