There were Wheat Thins printables on facebook a while back.  Don’t know if they’re still available.  They were for $1/1 and would come in handy for the Nabisco crackers that are on sale this week.

    • Kristanjeancrass

      Thanks, Jenny :-)

    • SouthernMomma

I went to Kroger for the first time this week.  It’s the one in Columbia, SC on Two Notch Road.  I realized that this store isn’t worth my time.  It’s confusing to shop in…when you walk in you are still not IN the store…it’s HUGE.  I like deals, but my time is also very valuable and spending 30 minutes looking for 3 items (which were out of stock anyway due to hoarders) just not worth it.  Sorry Kroger…you lost a customer.

      • guest

I shop at this store and usually the bargins are gone. Just ask for a raincheck. Its good for 30 days. Plus if you have cpns with items they will work, Just go to customer service, they are more experience and youll have no problems

      • Ylevans1982

I live in Columbia too, and I’m not a big fan of Kroger…but the one on Forest Drive is better to shop at than they Two Notch one…My opinion :)

        • Lizakemp

I live in Irmo just outside of columbia and the store on St. Andrews road is awful.  The manager there Ms. Cullifer is a total sourpuss and rude and all the sale items are always out of stock…I am seriously considering going to Bi-Lo from now on..

        • Niddi

I agree that the store on Forest Drive is better. It’s a smaller store, the employees are great and I have not been limited to 2 coupons on like items the way Two Notch does. I do frequently have to get rainchecks when items are not in stock.

    • katie lake

Does Kroger double e-coupons? I had some 50 cent coupons on my card the other day but they didn’t double. I checked the coupon policy on this site but it didn’t say. Does anyone know?

      • Marianne Cassisa

No, unfortunately e coupons do not double.

      • No, e-coupons don’t double :-(  Unfortunate, isn’t it?

    • Amanda

Grrr. These are not Mega Event prices. I used to love Mega Events, but for the most part these prices are awful. All of the Mega Events this year have pretty much been like this with a handful of good prices/deals and the rest are not worth it. I ran out of my Kraft cheese shreds stockpile over a few months ago and keep hoping they will be in a Mega Event, but no such luck. I haven’t paid more than 50 cents – $1/ 8oz bag in previous Mega Events and this whole year they have not included them at all in the Mega Events. They think $2.50 a bag is a sale price. Yuck. No thanks. I will continue to buy the store brand for a $1.50 (best price around) from a small grocery store that I prefer not to shop at just to get the best deal. Also, $8.49 is not a deal for 33oz of Maxwell House coffee. I wouldn’t pay more than $5.50 for these on sale with a coupon. I know every where else is charging even more for them. I am glad I was able to find 11-12oz cans for $2.50 on sale and had $1/1 qs at CVS several months back. But now that stockpile is also dwindling. Come on Kroger! Give us Mega Event prices that we expect, not poor sale prices at best. I am so tired of the high gas prices and am ready for the gas prices to drop and the grocery prices to follow suit.

      • I saw on the NBC evening news that commodity prices (prices for raw ingredients/materials) are skyrocketing this year & that food prices are expected to rise at least 10% this year alone. So, groceries are definitely going up as a whole.

Even clothing prices are forecast to rise dramatically. I read that clothing is going to start changing by trying to start new fads with less material & thinner material (like thinner denim in jeans). They’ll be adding cheap decorative detailing (buttons, pattern stitching, etc) to hide the fact that there is less fabric in the item & to try to make the clothes look fancier to justify the higher price tags. Yikes!

      • Anne

I so agree with everything you said!  I have been couponing for years, never extreme but this year I seen a lot of changes that have really hurt my budget and my family.  I am a single mom with three kids.  I am used to paying less for Kraft cheese and Maxwell House, so now I have to look at other brands to fit my budget.  I have shopped at Kroger and Walmart for years as well but now I drive 60 miles once a month to a larger city to buy the majority of my staples at different stores.   Sounds crazy with gas prices but it works.

      • Do you have an ALDI in your area? Coffeee is $5.29 regular price and it is good.

    • Karen

Don’t know if you’ve heard. On Sept. 14, Kroger will stop doubling and tripling coupons for good. Guess I’m off to another store that still does it.

      • Where did you find this information? I haven’t heard anything about them stopping doubling hope not it’s the only store in area that does double.

      • Colleen

Karen – Where did you hear that?  It doesn’t surprise me but does make me very sad.  No offense but I hope you are wrong!

      • Frances

From a goggle search – “ALL Kroger stores in Texas will no longer be doubling or tripling ANY coupons.” (starting 9/14).  I hope it does not continue to spread!  Kroger and Publix are my favorite stores for deals.

        • Karen

Well, that explains it. It was in my ad last week. I live in Texas.

      • That’s only true in some regions, I think. I asked about it at my local store and they hadn’t heard anything about it.

      • Anonymous

There was a big sign at my Kroger in metro Atlanta saying Kroger will continue to double coupons

        • I highly doubt Kroger would end doubling in the Atlanta area unless Publix decided to do so.  Publix is Kroger’s main competitor (in this are) and I do most of my shopping at Publix but do shop at Kroger for deals from time to time.  I think Kroger knows that if they quit doubling and Publix still was, they would lose the business from all the couponers.  Jmo anyhow

          • SuzyQ

Yes, not to mention Publix in the Metro Atlanta area accepts competitors store coupons and Kroger does not!  Before couponing, I shopped only Kroger for their prices (which are still generally lower than Publix), but with competitors store coupons (espacially Target’s), I save way more at Publix.  If Kroger ever stopped doubling here, they would lose a ton of business!

            • Mstw

My Kroger in Canton, Ga (Macedonia) told me last week they will now only double one of each coupon. Say for example I have (3)  $.50 off cereal coupons they will only double one of them, the other two will only be the listed $.50 off. they said this came down in an email from corprate…not sure I believe that. Oh well I have a much better experience shopping at Publix anyway, they seem to really appreciate my business.

    • Jessie

I forget, how many like items can you purchase and use coupons that will double at Kroger?

      • gravler

Luckily, the one in Galax Va. doesn’t limit them at all.  Make a quick call to the manager on duty just before you make the trip to the store since they will be the ones to help in any “emergency” situation.

        • Jessie

Thanks. Just got back from Kroger. I was able to pick up 6 packs of Yoplait yogurt. I think there have been times when my store will post sign with a limit, but you don’t know until you get there. My only issue with Kroger is I ALWAYS run in to some error at checkout. Today it seems my Angel Soft coupon didn’t get scanned, other times they forgot to take off for my reusable bags, or items have rung up for a different amount than the shelf tag. Maybe it’s just my luck with Kroger, but I have to watch the register screen more intently than any other store. It’s really irritating.

          • Cl3v3rgirl33

I didn’t know they take off for reusable bags.  Can you tell me how much and if it is nationwide or only certain areas?

            • ponygirl19

I’m not sure about Kroger bc there isn’t once close enough to me but Bilo takes off 5 cents for each bag…. REMIND THEM TO DO SO !!

            • They don’t take off anything. The cashier is supposed to add ten points to your card for the transaction. 9 times out of 10 they don’t do it unless I ask.

    • Why
Kroger is ending double coupons for DFW/Houston? Will it roll out nationwide? YES it will if
Kroger customers continue to prop its profits and not speak up. See more at :Bringbackdoubles dot com and Kroger Couponers group on FB.

    • Delisau72

I only go to Kroger for Manager’s specials.everything else is a joke

    • Ellie

Sad Day! I was so excited when I saw that Kroger Frozen Veggies were going on sale $.77!   But only southeast region. Our Kroger in Cookeville used to run them on sale in a regular rotation at .88. But I don’t remember that happening in a long time. :(

    • Cl3v3rgirl33

Don’t forget the kroger ecouon for $1 off sparkle paper towels, which makes them $3.99

    • Sherryledford

I did not see the Gerber coupon in my Sept All You – I am gonna go look again, but I thought I already cut out all of the coupons. Do any of you have it in you magazine?

      • Jenndennmk

Did you check the coupon index in your AY?

        • Sherryledford

I didn’t think of that, duh! But I just checked it and it is not in my Sept magazine. I wonder why? Is it in yours? I subscribe to it – do they put different coupons in the ones you buy at the store? That doesn’t make sense to me.

          • Simplysmiles1

Yes quite often and that is why I didn’t renew my All You subscription

          • Anonymous

I have an All You that I bought at Walmart and there are no Gerber coupons in mine

    • Lisabluedevil

Although I share everyone’s disappointment that prices are climbing, I think we are little hard on the companies that are trying to figure out how to continue making payroll as they pay higher prices to their suppliers due to the increase in gas prices and the numerous other factors that have impacted markets over the last couple of years.  I think it is better to be thankful for the deals we get than to moan about they way things used to be.  Thanks, Jenny, for helping us find the deals that ARE out there during these tough times.

    • krogersucks

      I hate kroger

    • There is a $1/3 Horizon singles on their website.

    • Angiedhodge

How about the 10 for $10 deals… Is there a listing, so that I don’t have to go to the store and search?

      • Amber

10 for 10 is just $1 each. You do not have to buy 10 to get the deal. Jenny only posts items that are good deals based on their normal price…I think they have to be 40% off or more.

        • Angiedhodge

Yes, I’m aware of that Amber. I just thought I’d ask in case I was missing out; There is so much on the internet about couponing these days. Thanks

    • Dr F Brent Larsen

Your coupons would not print or misdirect to recipes. I lost $$$s.

      • Jenny has no control over the coupons.  They are not HER coupons :)   Coupons can run out of prints at any time so best to click the link as soon as you can to print what you want as it may not be available.  If it says it is out of prints or you have reached your print limit and you haven’t printed it yet then that means no more prints available for that particular campaign.  If the printer plug-in fails on your pc or won’t work properly, that also is not something Jenny has control over.  There are generally trouble shooting info available on each site you print from.   As far as being directed to recipes, etc….oftentimes links will take you to a manufacturers website and you have to register (name, email) to get your coupon.  You can create an email just for couponing to keep all these in one place.

I am extremely grateful for all the time and effort Jenny puts into this site and the FREE info she shares with us all.

      • You lost $$$$s? Seriously?

    • Cl3v3rgirl33

Just a heads, Blue Belle ice cream has a $1 q on their website!  Also there is a $1 printable on the Mission tortillias, makes them .50 cents.

      • Jgchapman33

Thank you!! Got the coupons!! :)

      • Danae

I don’t see the blue bell coupons at all.

        • Faith24

you have to click on the coupon cubby on their home page. It’s towards the top of page, middle and to right, scroll over and it’ll say “coupons.” You have to register with them before you can print and they only let you print two per computer/account per month I believe.

      • Lcw0415

        Thanks ..just printed my coupons

      • Jennifer

Where did you find the mission tortilla coupon? I went to their site and did not see it.

    • Sherryledford

Jenny, are you going to be able to post unadvertised deals this week? I know you do most weeks. BTW, thanks so much for all the work you put into this, you make couponing so much easier! I love your site and recommend it to everyone that says they want to start couponing or learn to do it as well as I do! I tell them I can’t take all of the credit, you do so much of the work for me!!

I Agree with Sherryledford, Jenny had been a blessing for me. With her site it had helped me to put food in my family ( of 5) table. My husband lost his job over a year ago. and we barely been surviving. My kids din’t even knew what the Yoplait Yogurts tasted anymore, but now Thanks God I finally I am able to get them some of them and lots of more things. Thanks Jenny!

        Blessings to your family!

SAD! Some Krogers In my area are now only letting you use 3 alike coupons. In Kroger in cookeville / Lebanon TN.

      • Lebannon too!

        • momof5

Yes Lebanon too….just tried it last week and it makes the Mega sales real hard. I hear the Galatin store does not do this.

          • Shannon

I shop at the Kroger in White House and they let me use as many like coupons as I have, unless they are the P&G of course. They are super awesome at this store!

    • Lisa

I see Vitaminwater, 20 oz,  for 59¢ listed in the Mega Event.  But when I went to go pick them up this morning, they are advertising it for 75¢.  I mean, either price is worth getting them – I just wanted to make sure that Kroger wasn’t trying to pull something over on me.  Thanks for all you do!

      • prices are regional and can vary. It’s best to check your local ad to see what prices you can expect.

        • Lisa

I checked the weekly ads online for Atlanta, Alexandria, Raleigh, Cincinnati, and South Carolina, and they all say 75¢.  Do you know of anywhere that has it for 59¢?

I had a manager flat out refuse to honor a shelf price this weekend.  The item was $7.99 marked 2/$10 but rang up $5.99 instead of $5.  I didn’t even ask to get the item free – I just wanted it at the price on the shelf and was only purchasing one.  Very disappointed.

I am hoping that my Kroger won’t stop doubling coupons – that will be the end of my shopping there.  Today I have to go to Walmart so I am going to stroll the food aisles and see what items cost since I know what they usually cost at Kroger.

    • Kristisdeals

My Kroger only takes 3 internet coupons total…not 3 like coupons.  They said it was because people were copying them (therefore common sense would think “3 like coupons”) and they handed me a coupon policy.  The only problem…it did not state that anywhere on the policy…so…I contacted Kroger and they sent me a policy for the area which did not state anything about limiting internet coupons at all.  I went back to the store to confirm, and they still held to “3 internet coupons per transaction”…they did, however, state that they could not limit the amount of transactions I had.  That works until you get to the mega events where you have to buy multiples of 10 mega items.  Makes saving money even more challenging, if not impossible.  Ugh!  BTW, I am in the Bowling Green, KY area.

      • Sarah Hatton194

I’m in BG too… I price natch everything at Walmart.  They will give you the “mega” price w/o buying 10 items and they have no limit on coupons.

        • REALLY? Did notknow that

        • TNelly

My problem with Walmart is that yes you can do the price matching but they dont double or anything. Yes you might still get a deal but that double discount is what sometimes make it worth it

          • Sarah

True.  I mostly do Walmart b/c I can price match everything in one spot – it takes me 3-4 hours some weeks to prepare for a trip after scanning every store ad in the area!  I just started couponing this summer, but we already have a decent stockpile going – except for perishables, I “shopped” my garage for the month of August.

          • Sherrysk8

That was my issue with Walmart, too (besides the fact that I just HATE the big box on priciple) until my Krogers stopped doubling & tripling.  Thanks, Krogers – you’ve cost me money, but simplified my life …

    • GC

Krogers in Texas will stop doubling  and tripling coupouns starting this week. Any thoughts? Change grocery stores?

      • Guest

Absolutely! Change to Albertson’s. They d/t up to 4 ‘like’ coupons at once. Tom Thumb will only d/t one per transaction, per day. So Albies it is for me! See ya, Kroger! their sales aren’t as wonderful as the once were, anyway!

      • Sherrysk8

I will be shopping Krogers ONLY for mark downs, loss leaders and items I can’t find elsewhere.

    • ACW

Heads-up on the Suave deodorant: My store had the smaller size on sale for $1.06… making each six cents when the 50-cent coupon doubled.

    • Anonymous

I don’t know if someone has already mentioned this because I haven’t read all the posts, but Kroger has a NEW GAME!

I played and won Newton’s Fruit Thins – and I wanted to try these things so free is nice!  Limit 2 prizes, all prizes expire 10/8/11

      • Gil

Get your FREEpkg Fruit Thins at CVS this week-CSO spitting out the Q’s!

        • Anonymous

Thanks Gil, I responded in email and forgot to “link to post”!  Glad you told me about this b/c I pretty much don’t follow the CVS, Walgreen, Rite-Aid posts.  Usually it’s just by accident – like this – that I can take advantage!

    • Sorta new to couponing – Question!!
Many times at our Kroger the good deals are immediately cleared off the shelves. People tell me to get a raincheck, but would Kroger issue the rainchecks for the Mega Event price?

      • Kancrinehart3

Yes! they will, but you will still have to buy the amount (like 4, 5 or 10, depending on the event) to get the price.

        • Releford Jennifer

I don’t have to at my Walmart and I’m pretty sure it states that you don’t have to in their coupon policy

          • Amy

They are supposed to match the price regardless of how many items you purchase. And if it is a generic Kroger item, they are suppose to match the Walmart equivalent.

      • Mrscori2006

Wal-mart will price match the mega event price and they don’t require you to buy 10.

      • Mrscori2006

Wal-mart will price match the mega event price and they don’t require you to buy 10.

      • CatBlue

        Columbia, TN will.

      • Sherrysk8

Mine always has issued for the Mega Event price with a note as to the total number of items you must buy to get that price.  Sometimes it has been a PITA when they’re out of ONE item that I want and I would have only bought 2 or 3 and used something else to make the 10.  With the raincheck, it can be buy 10 of the same item or don’t get the deal.

        WOW!
        aol email address…

    • Pam

I see several comments about Kroger no longer doubling coupons or limiting coupons. I firmly believe this is because some of us go to Kroger and clear out the shelves with 20 or more of the same item. I distinctly remember Jenny saying at the seminar that I went to that there is no need to buy out the shelves (specifically she said on pickles – ha!) because this stuff will go on sale again. Please keep that in mind when you go to the store with your coupons and just buy a reasonable amount that your family will use. Number one, it won’t frustrate the Kroger employees and number two, it leaves some on the shelves for those of us who can’t get to the store at 12:01 a.m. the day this stuff goes on sale to scoop up all the deals. Just my thoughts….

      • Bdool30

Krogers in Dallas and most of Texas stops multiplying coupons on the 14th. I do not think it is because of people clearing shelves though! They make the same amount of money whether one person or 500 people buy the product. They are trying to grow into a walmart or target…. The big guys do not multiply either! I did see in the new kroger coupon policies posted regarding this change that kroger will accept a kroger coupon plus a manufacturer coupon now…. just not sure where to get kroger coupons from… if anyone knows will you please reply. For now though, if you don’t like the new policy shop somewhere else… only if we hit them in the pocket book will they change the policy back!

        • SuzyQ

I do think that all stores are going to stop doubling and maybe even stop accepting coupons due to people clearing the shelves.  Yes, they may get the same compensation regardless of how many people buy the product, but they do have to listen to the complaints from the people who ACTUALLY NEED a product that has been cleaned out by a “couponer”.  Even if you’re donating it, just take a few from different locations.  Donating is very caring and considerate, but we should have the same consideration for our fellow store patrons!  I’ve seen women buying a cart FULL of tampons.  Honey, you and your daughters will all be POST MENOPAUSAL before you can use all of those!!!  Buying more than 10 of any health or beauty aid or cleaning product (not to mention rounding up the coupons it takes to get those deals) is truly a sickness.  These people are going to ruin it for the rest of us who are just trying to save a few bucks!

          • Momby4boyz

I agree with everyone about clearing the shelves. I am a mother of 4 boys plus a husband and I take care of my niece and nephew after school until dinner. That makes me having to feed 8 people. I feel bad sometimes when I buy 6 boxes of cereal and I know other people are looking down on me, but those 6 boxes will last maybe a week in my house! I don’t clear out the shelves, but I do have to buy alot to keep my family fed. It makes me furious when I go to buy something my kids need and I can’t get it because some stupid person who watches “Extreme Couponing” goes into the store when the door opens and cleans it out. For example. Last week when the Sara Lee iron Kids bread was on sale, I went into the store 3 hours after they opened on the 1st day of the sale and they were completely sold out. Yes, I was going to buy 6 loaves of bread that day, but like I said earlier, when you’re making 9 sandwhiches a day, 6 loaves of bread doesn’t last long. :/ I hope this “couponing craze” ends soon.

        • Anonymous

I agree. One employee of Kroger told me directly that it was because of people clearing shelves. I don’t buy this either. Wouldn’t it be nice for Kroger if we couponers (extreme or not) kept blaming each other instead of the store? I think that Kroger has done a fine job getting us mad at each other instead of them. It stinks, I’m not a shelf clearer and I get frustrated when they are out of what I want too, but I am not holding it against anyone else wanting to save. Kroger cares about what any company cares about…the bottom line.

    • Nathalie

Can someone please help me ot ots couponing thing. I’m rying so hard to get it and its just confusing to me. I’d like to know more sites to go to also. I would greatly appreciate it. Email Nathalie1023@yahoo.com

      • Anonymous

Have you tried reading/watching some of Jenny’s guides for getting started. Those were helpful to me. I knew a little bit about using coupons before I started, but those videos and whatnot made it much easier. I don’t know what kind of other sites you’re looking for but www(dot)becentsable(dot)net/store-deals has different states listed so you can see couponing sites that have match ups for different stores in your state. Honestly, Southern Savers is the best site I’ve come across. The only other site I follow (other than a small local site) is www(dot)hip2save(dot)com which focuses more on drug stores and Target/Walmart. There are also a lot more online deals on that website as well as free/sample offers. When it comes to match ups, though, I pretty much only use Southern Savers.

FYI – there is a tearpad mq at Publix for $3/2 DiGiorno pizza compliments of Miller Light (no requirement to buy beer to use the coupon). I’m in the Huntsville, AL area.

Does any one have a store called Freds? I just found out on their website that they double any coupon .70 cents and under. But only on saturdays. This is great for us here in knoxville tn. Our krogers only double up to .50 cents and we never get to triple or round up the coupons over the .50 cent marks.
I have a sister in ohio and her kroger still doubles and rounds up her coupons that are over .50 cents up to the dollar amount.

      • coupondad72

freds does double up to 70 on saturday but there is a limit of one coupon doubled per identical item

      • barbara b

        fred’s is a lower priced store-so even a small q is good-nice people in longview,tx-kroger quit double q today-

    • Anonymous

I see comments about no more coupons because of clearing shelves. Come on people this is the stores excuse. How long has this been going on? The stores should have this under control by now. How hard is it to limit quantities. If some one left the store with a cart full of tampons without preordering than SHAME on
the manager for letting it happen. Then we get blamed for clearing the shelves. Even non couponers r going to get a bunch of something they like if it is a good deal. The economy is bad and getting worse and if u r religious things r alittle hairy there too. So people are scared and stocking up. Quite honestly since this has been going onfor so long ifit is a good deal then the stores shoud be analz

      • Anonymous

analzing there store sales and keeping more stock in. That is part of business. But of course they have to stretch there muscles because this whole country is so dependent on grocery stores they have us under there thumb.

      • Bee

To be honest, I’ve seen too many holes in shelves to blame it all on coupon/deal seekers OR the store.

Let’s face it. Stores want to make money. If they consistently see a pattern of missing sales due to low stock, they will voluntarily change. These stores have been in business for a long, long time. Kroger has been in the grocery business since 1883. Think they don’t know what they’re doing?

Either there is a nation-wide food/commodities shortage that is being downplayed or there’s another supply chain issue.

I can’t imagine credit from vendors being an issue with Kroger or Wal-Mart, so I’m leaning toward food shortage. I guess it’s only inevitable that exporting food to other countries would backfire on us.

        • Sherrysk8

I have noticed LOTS of empty spots on the shelves of all three of the major grocery stores here, but attributed it to being in a small town – seems like we’re often ‘last on the list’ when it comes to re-supplying items.  Kind of scary to know it is not just here …  Makes me glad that I am already in the habit of having ‘extras’ of the items we use most.

    • Gaylynngoff

I was in Kroger yesterday (RICHLAND, MS)<<<just want everybody to know where it was…they seem to automatically have a defensive attitude when you tell them you have coupons…like you're trying to cheat THEM… I was buying ravioli that was 10/$10…i had 2 AY coupons for 50 cents on 2 that doubled….i bought 4 cans and  noticed that there was a tear pad that had coupons for a free snack pack pudding 4 pk when you buy 4 cans of chef boyardee ravioli…the cashier took my 2 coupons for the ravioli and when she scanned the free pudding coupon, it wouldnt take it…she said i had too many coupons…this was actually the third thing they were denying me so i asked for a manager…he tried to explain it to me also and i just shook my head. They gave me "something" off for the pudding coupon just to satisfy me but i was so mad i haven't even checked my receipt.  I ALWAYS have my coupons ready and i never try to knowingly use a coupon that i shouldnt, but i did not appreciate the attention that a DOLLAR caused. i'm going to another Kroger from now on, but would this be something worth calling corporate about? was I wrong? i STILL don't understand their reasoning.

    • Frances

Has someone tried to buy Simply Juice or Lemonade, 12-13.5 oz, 99¢ and use the $1 off coupon?  Last time on a MEGA sale, when I had a minor overage with a coupon, they did not give me the .50 off for that item.  They did include the item in the 10 count so I received the MEGA sale discount on the other 9 items but not on the item with the minor overage.  Are the MEGA sale items running up with $5 being subtracted off at the end or .50 off each item after the item’s price? THANKS!

      • Anonymous

HELP! Someone please answer my question.  THANKS!

        • Anonymous

I have not tried this one yet but in the past I have been able to use a coupon, get the overage, and the Mega discount. So on this juice minus 1.00 on the price before Mega discount.

      • Stephy_012000

I have used a coupon that would have overage if doubled. What kroger did was accept the .50 q and doubled up to the sale amount, so I did not get and overage but I did get the item for free. This was in the Knoxville, TN area. Hope this helps!

      • Shellirichard

I bought it today.  It rang up $1.49.  Then listed directly below it, the receipt says “KROGER SAVINGS 0.10” then below THAT, it says “Mega Event SAvings 0.50”.

And at the end, it rang up my $1.00 off coupon.  The computer did not reject it.  I guess I made 11 cents on the deal?

    • Trying to get the printable Mio coupon listed above, but it asks for zip code. When I put mine in, it goes to a page where the coupon disappears. Maybe I don’t have the magic zip code?

      • Cpempek

It is for residents of Hawaii only.

      • Dawnallgood

I just added a Kroger e-coupon a few minutes ago for $1 off Mio. hth

      • Heather

It shows up under my zip – 85296.

    • Revelationsacademy

I am visiting Huntsville later this week.  Can anyone tell me if they double coupons at Huntsville Krogers?  I am from KY and we double up to 60 cents here so I am wondering what to expect there.  THANKS!

    • TNelly

Can someone be really patient and try to explain the Mega Event to me. New at couponing and shopping at Kroger so I am totally not getting it. Someone I asked in store told me ___ She will start out with say 10 of one of the cheapesst items in the event to keep her on track and as she puts others in her cart that she truly wants she takes one of the others away so she knows she is getting the price she wants at checkout. I believe she did it without planning so this is to keep her on track. But is that the basic idea of it? Buy any 10 of the included items and get them at the discounted price? Till I asked thi lady I thought you have to buy 10 of each…. Thanks

      • Bee

You can mix and match any of the mega event items.

I like the method you described.

Even with planning your item count, you can show up in the store, and they will be out of certain items you want.

Personally, I’m a little tired of having to count groceries to get a discount.

        • Anonymous

I agree, doesn’t it feel like we’ve been doing buy 10, or 4, or 5 forever now? :)

      • TNelly

Thanks guys. Now I am not so afraid of it. LOL… WOw afraid of shopping.HEHE

      • Hkizziar

A friend told me she takes her reuseable shopping bags puts her groceries in them and ties it off once she reaches ten particapating items, i thought that was a great idea!

        • Juli

This is what I do.  It makes it so much easier to keep up with my sets of 10.  Easier to unload at the register, too…just put the full bags on the counter.  :)

        • Mel

I just have a piece of paper and put tally marks on it.  Once I get ten, I circle that group and start over.

      • Goochette03

I keep my list and binder open in front of me and have all the mega items listed together-as I put one in the cart-I put a tally mark at the top of my paper-when I get 10 mega items, I have 10 tally marks, and I circle those 10 tally marks. Then I continue with a new set of 10-that way I make sure I have multiples of 10 to get the deal. I also highlight anything i put in my cart on my list and cross out anything they were out of or I decided not to get-that way I know I didn’t just overlook that item and have to go all the way back. Sometimes they are out of something so I have to decide what to get to make 10-I usually go for the cheapest item or something we use often.

    • Anonymous

Does anyone know if you can use a coupon on an item made free by a sale? For instance, buy 2 candy bars, get one free…. if I have coupons for .50/2, can I buy 6, and use 3 coupons?

My store in AZ is no longer making all coupons worth a $1 starting Wed so I need to get the most out of the ones I have before then!!

      • Amy

Yes – the register will show that six items were scanned.

    • Ekenney8381

Can someone tell me how to get a home mailer for Kroger? I asked at customer service for one, and they acted like they didn’t know what i was talking about.

      • Revelationsacademy

After you spend a certain amount they start mailing you the coupons and also will send you emails with “free” or really good coupons to add to your card.  I had heard once it was $2000 within a year but I don’t know if that is the amount or not.  You do need to go to their website and make sure you are signed up for all their newsletters, emails (anything they let you check) when you are signed in to your card profile.

        • Frances

After you do this, call customer service 800 # on their website.  I have shopped at Kroger for years and did not receive the home mailer until the second Kroger representative went through my account THEN I started receiving them.

        • Mel

I was told $300/month.  But after I called, I started getting coupons even without spending that much.

      • Anonymous

This is something I’m still wondering about myself. I took a coupon class a couple of months ago and was told that you received the mailer when you spent $200 before coupons at Kroger. So, last month when I reached this amount and the coupons were still mia I, I spoke with customer service at the front desk. The lady wasn’t really sure how one qualified for the coupons, so she phoned the number on the back of the Kroger card. The csr told her that it was based on your spending habits/trends and how frequently you shopped/scanned your card at Kroger. According to the csr, I hadn’t received my mailer because I wasn’t “opted in,” so he said that he would send a request to the appropriate department and that the coupons should be in the mail soon.

        • Anonymous

Did this couple of months ago and still didn’t get any coupons. And I am spending around $300 a month there. Which will not going to happen anymore bc they don’t double or triple coupons as of 9/14.

    • Nancy

Does anyone know if I can use the Kraft $1/2 coupon in conjunction with the save $1 when you buy a box of Nabisco crackers AND a Kraft dressing???
      I’d love to know…thanks!

      • Anonymous

I don’t think you can since buying the dressing is a requirement to get the $1 off in the Nabisco coupon. It would be doubling coupons. If you bought 3 bottles of dressing, then yes, you could use both.

      • Amy

        I tried – it’s a no go.

    • Couponjunkie

I was at Kroger in Columbia, SC (St. Andrews Road at I-20) about 1pm today to get groceries. I now can’t find my “Kroger Coupons” envelope written in blue sharpie. I called back up to the store and told them who the cashier was but she said she didn’t see any envelope.  Was anyone else there this afternoon and maybe saw it?  They also charged me twice for the Nestle cookie dough.  Always check your receipts and coupon matches.

      • Couponjunkie

Nevermind I just found it buried in my pocketbook.

        • Amyherrington

hahaha! Girl you sound like me! : )

        • Minpinfin

Good grief-you’ve got my name all over this caper!!!

Just a heads up today I went to kroger. They have on closeout the 64oz Xtra for $1.79 each and the Purex is also on close out for the same price I think. It is either $1.79 or $1.89 now the Purex is the 28 to 33 loads

    • Cincowrights

In the Dallas, TX area Kroger’s will no longer triple & double this will take effect tomorrow 9/14.  My question is can I still get good deals?  Or do I have to change stores, I’m thinking of going to either Albertson’s or Tom Thumb.  Any ideas on how I can still save money at Krogers, I would really appreciate. Thanks.

      • AZ Shopper

Maybe they are doing what Fry’s (a division of Kroger) did in AZ, which was discontinue the double coupons, but started honoring all manufacture coupons as a $1.00.  Works out pretty well.  They say that this is just a limited time offer though.  We’ll see.  I would ask your Kroger store if they are planning on giving any other coupon offers in place of the doubling.  Good luck!

        • Sherrysk8

          I am just changing store!

    • Abbielou02

I bought 5 Gerber products (participating products in the mega event) and I got 2 catalina’s, one for $2 off any 6 Gerber snacks and one for $2 off my next Kroger purchess sponsored by Gerber! I was pretty happy about that!

      • mk

Me too : ) Very happy! Saved on the price and got $$ of next purchase. Can’t beat it. Especially since my picky eater loves those microwave meals! I wouldn’t buy them otherwise. Too expensive normally. But $1.37 isn’t bad!

    • Stephy_012000

Does anyone know if the hot pocket snackers are included in the mega sale, in the Knoxville, TN area?

    • Aarrah1111

Are the prices listed for the Mega even the prices I will find for each item in the store. By asking this I want to know if the prices listed are the prices I get after the 5 dollar coupon if i were to buy 10 items. Hope this makes sence. The prices listed are after the 5 dollar discount on 10.  Sometimes the price will vary by region, but they are usually close to the same price if not exact.

Do mega events make anyone else crazy? The counting, making sure I have the right amount of the right items….. it makes me nuts.

I put the smaller basket you can carry in my cart.  When it hits 10 items, I empty it.  I often get 6 of one thing, placing it directly into the cart, and then add 4 items from the little basket.  Also- If I mess up the mega deal, I go get extra items needed to hit the next 10.  I purposely print items that don’t have a q or maybe a 50cent item that will help me hit the 10 quickly in case I mess up.  Then I go to customer service and ask them to honor the mega ten.  But, I am better at hitting the 10 now.

I like the idea of putting the small basket in my cart. Maybe when I don’t go shopping with my infant and/or toddler in the cart I can try it. :) Thanks for the suggestion!

I use my reusable shopping bags.  I put 10 in a bag, then tie the handles so the bag is closed.  Sometimes the items are too big, in which case I just put a little tally mark on my list to remind me that I have another item in the bag that just didn’t fit.

I hate it! One time I planned it all out to makes sure i had even increments of 10 and the cashier somehow didn’t ring up one of the bags of cat treats (that would have been free with my coupon) so then I didn’t get the $5.00 off. Then it was off to customer service. What a nuisance.

I LOVE the Skinny Cow Chocolate Clusters. Some of the coupons listed above for them cannot be used, however. Like the B1G1 .77-1oz. clearly cannot be used on the 4.62-6oz. If so, that would kind of be misusing the coupon. So I took my Kroger ad to Wal-Mart and got 4 boxes of Skinny Cow price matched to $2.49. (Wal-mart does not require you to buy 10 like Kroger does.) I used 4-$1 off Q’s and got the 6oz. boxes for $1.49 a piece. YUMMY

FYI – I was in Walgreens today and they had “Simply” beverages coupons hanging on the door of the cooler section. They are $.50/1 13.5 fl oz (any variety). I live in Atlanta.

Can anyone trade a poptart flavor code for a frosted blueberry code?

As of the 14th, the Krogers in Brownwood Tx has quit doubling or tripling coupons.  Krogers has just taken away my main reason to spend money in their store.  As long as they were doubling & tripling coupons, I felt compelled to support them by buying most of my other groceries there, as well.  Because of their new policy, I will now be shopping at Krogers only for mark downs, loss leaders & items I cannot get anywhere else in town.  Starting this week I will be changing the majority of my shopping to Brookshires (at this point they are still doubling & tripling, even though it is only 1 like coupon per DAY), a small mom-and-pop store for my meat & cheese and Walmart. I really HATE Walmart, however since they are willing to price match it will allow me to utilize the specials from Krogers without patronizing them any more than I have to.

Same here in Dallas area, I won’t be shopping at kroger due to this new policy, just the markdowns. My alternative is Tom thumb store they only double or triple one like coupon. Kroger will be the one who is losing bussiness.

Did anyone notice that with Megaevents, the $5 doesn’t come off at the bottom anymore? It comes off in $0.50 increments throughout the receipt? This kinda messed me up b/c I missed a $5 discount due to getting 4 cases of the 16 oz Purelife waters, not the 8 oz (which is further confusing b/c I SWEAR the 16 oz ones had the Mega tag next to their price). I didn’t even notice until I went back through my receipt and counted up all the $.50 Mega deductions.

There should still be the total the megaevents on the bottom. I don’t have a receipt nearby but there’s a + sign by the total.

a few weeks ago, the gas station down the street from me had $1 off 1 NOS coupons on the refrigerator door so i took a handful (made sure to leave plenty for everyone else!) and with the Kroger mega event, they’re free!!

      i’m a very happy caffeinated woman :D

There’s a $2/1 Tide coupon in the 9/11 SS insert which makes for a great Mega deal on the powder Tide.

My coupon for Marzetti Salad Dressing is only for $1, not 2… anyone else?
