are all these items included in the mega event? So If I buy 20 of these listed items I will get 10 off, correct?

      • Tiffany

remember that prices listed are after the $10 off. Also, at Kroger I rarely have a difference in what Jenny list.

        • Me2see

I believe it is $5.00/10 items. And I don't believe all these items are included in the Mega event. Some are unadvertised specials.

          • Wendi

I am confused! Are ALL of these mega items? Doubtful. I guess I'll figure it out while shopping with my 3 year old, disabled child. I will just get what I know is included. Thanks for the list. I am grateful just wish I could figure it out before I get to the store. It is just hard for me with no help with my child. I just don't have time to make mistakes and waste money.

            • TJ

According to the wording in this post, these are ALL mega event items.

            • Wendi

Sorry, but yea I did miss the wording somehow. : / Thanks. I am shocked that there are so many deals. :)

            • Val

Yes, they are all megaevent items. Happy shopping.

      • Lovescoupons

At the top she typed up here are all the mega event deals. So yep these are all part of the mega even.

    • Lolly

are the m and m candies in the mega event or unadvertised? Great deal if you dont have to buy 10. I am loving the garden of eatin chips for 50cents! I stocked up on this one for sure. I got 10 bags for almost the price of ones at WHole foods!!!! Thanks Jenny

    • staci

Be careful at the Griffin, Georgia Kroger…they have many “deal” (10 items/$5 off) tags by the incorrect items. And, good luck getting the customer service to care enough to adjust your order even though it is their mistake!

      • Tara

Thanks for the heads up!! Looks like I'll be going to the Kroger in McDonough! LOL

    • Christine A

Sunday's AJC paper had -.25/1 Rotel; when doubled, it's free!

    • Hmiller76

I wasn't able to print the Kellogg's coupons or E.L. Fudge coupon. Anybody else have this problem? Also, I'm confused because I have 2 Kroger ads that overlap in time, so are all the items still on sale???

    • Lucy

      Thanks for the list.

Although it's been pointed out a few times in the Reach flosser thread, it still hasn't been fixed and it's causing some confusion:

Please correct this coupon: “Buy 3 Save $3.00 Buy (1) Listerine Antiseptic Mouthwash, or Reach toothbrush, floss or access flosser, 500 ml +, SS 1/09” It should state “Buy (1) Listerine Antiseptic Mouthwash 500mL or larger and (1) REACH Toothbrush and (1) REACH Floss or REACH ACCESS Flosser”

    • Amy J.

Just got back from Kroger. (Took my 5 yr old w/ me, a bit challenging but we both made it out okay….LOL!)
I bought $72 worth of items for $28.67…..61% savings.
Got 5 Reach flossers and 5 Reach toothbrushes (used $2 off 2 tb, $1 off flosser, 50 cents off flosser, then 3 of the $1.50 off 1 tb & 1 flosser coupons). Got Edy's ice cream, garlic toast, hunt's diced tomatoes. Bought 2 loaves of bread, a bottle of wine, pasta, pasta sauce, and a few other items not part of the mega event. All in all a good trip!

oh, and FYI, my Kroger had the French's spicy mustard for $1.19, so after coupon, only 19cents. Not sure if this varies by region or not…..I'm in Southeast Georgia. HTH!

      • Amy J.

        * correction: French's Spicy Brown mustard.

        • kaseyshadow

When i have to take my kids i give my oldest the job of keeping up with the coupons I use. You might give you 5 year old an envelope to put the coupons on.

Thank Goodness on the California Pizza Kitchen! Have been wanting another BBQ Chicken pizza since I tried one last time they were on sale!

    • Mhbuchanan97

Which ones are the MEGA event items listed above?

    • Nichole_michele

special k was not included in the sale at my store. It was $3.99 box

      • Wesnlique

same for mine! And I had B1G1 !

    • These are ALL Mega Event Deals!!!

    • RFowler

I can not find the $2 off 2 Reach Coupon when I click the above link. Do a need a particular zip code?
Also my K-Roger has Carmex listed as a 10 for 10. You can buy 1 at $1 and use your .30 cent carmex coupon if you still have it. Thanks

      • gardengirl

At my Kroger when they advertise 10 for $10, you do not have to buy 10 Carmex, you can buy 1 for $1.00. If the Carmex is part of the mega, remember to mix and match in increments of 10 to get the deal.

        • RFowler

Thank Gardengirl! I was trying to suggest that it is not part of the mega event but the 10 for 10 to help some out with just regular deals. I purchased one tube and use the .30 coupon and paid .40 cents. Carmex is like gold around my house. Thanks again for your help in trying to better explain the deal to everyone.

    • Sheikhkiran

i dont seem to find Sobe B1G1 on their site….any help???

    • Courtney E

Just wanted to say THANKS for everything!! I was killing myself trying (VERY unsuccessfully) to do what you do every week and match coupons with the sales. My husband is a teacher/coach for our high school and we have been supporting our family of 5 on his income as I have gone back to grad school. The Lord always provides for our family, and I believe that part of how He does is through you, and you making it possible for me to save so much on our grocery bill every month. THANKS AGAIN!!

    • Donna0130

OK Here goes. Ya'll are going to beat me up. I have never been to a Kroger mega event sale. I still need a little help. I have 2 coupons off 2 of the toothbrushes. So my question is do I have to buy 10 toothbrushes or any 10 items on the list. I am sending my husband tomorrow as I live no where near a Kroger, but he works next to one. So I want to make sure I understand. Sorry……

      • Bee

Hi there, I don't think anyone is going to get upset over some honest questions. You just need to buy 10 of the featured Mega Event items, so any 10 items that are marked Mega Event. If it helps, there is usually a little display with every Mega Event item printed on a flier when you go to the store. It helps.

        • Donna0130

Thank you Bee. You are a gem.

      • Lasmith9454

No- the megas are mix and match any 10 off the sale. To keep count of my 10s, I put a small basket inside my cart. I put odd numbers of thing in the basket, then when there are 10 in the basket or I buy 6 tomatoes, I just add 4 items from the basket to the cart.

        • babaofbwood

I basically do the same thing, but use my reusable grocery bags instead.Easy easy to put 10 items in each bag….there is ample room for many bags in your buggy. But I must admit I am constantly “re-counting” just to make sure I have 10 IN MY BAG!! Makes shopping FUN!!

    • Tara

Cant find the Sobe 2 for 1 coupons! Searched all over the website!! Im confused!

    • Anoralove

Is there a limit to how many sets of 10 mega event items (mix or match) you can purchase?

      • Lasmith9454

        No

    • CVS Lady

Jenny, you are AWESOME! Thanks for making sure we know about all the deals. This sale is renewing my Kroger love again :)

    • Sheikhkiran

Can anyone tell me where to find sobe BOGO coupon…..i dont find it on the website

      • chirogal

        I couldn't find it either.

    • Guest

I feel like this is a dumb question but here it goes…so I have to buy exactly in increments of 10 of the mega deals to get the money off? I can't buy an odd number of them? Just want to make sure since it's my first mega deals I'm heading to. Thanks!

      • Kim

Yep, 10 items from Mega Event. Mix n match, but has to be 10 total to get the $5 off.

        • Guest

Thanks! I thought that was the case but didn't want to be the person in line who did it wrong.

      • Anonymous

That is correct – to get the $5 off discount you have to buy in increments of 10 items. You can buy an odd number of items (13, 15, 16 etc.) but it will only give you one $5 discount.

If you buy 20 items, you'll receive a $10 discount ($5 for each set of 10 items).

        Hope that helps!

    • Katie

      Hello All!
I had a quick question. I live in Kansas, and the prices in Jenny's post are not what I have here. Don't get me wrong—I ADORE— her site! I was just wondering if there were sites like hers that apply to Kansas Krogers? Any advice….any help….please….

      • susansaver

There are blogs listed by store name and state at www(dot)becentsable(dot)net. I know it's hard when you're in a different region. HTH!

        • Katie

Thanks so much! I will get right on that. :) You really are helping me out.

    • Bianca

I am having trouble finding the tear pads in the store. Where are they?

      • Michelle

I've noticed some of the tearpads she refers to may be a couple weeks back or a month. And now the tearpads are not there anymore. So be on the lookout for ANY tearpads and if you think you may use the product, grab a couple and keep them in your “cache”! They may come in handy for a future sale.

      • Renny

Oftentimes, the tearpads are up a couple weeks before the sale starts, so it's always a good idea to get a couple of coupons from a tearpad if you are interested in that product, same w/blinkies most of the time (but not all..).

    • I am so nervous! I have NEVER shopped at Kroger and the closes one is about 25 min away. I have drove the 25 min to Publix, but never seen it worth it for me to go to Kroger. SO I am going to try it in the morning! Since the Pepsi and Del Monte and Hunt and Rotel are so cheap I think it will be worth it even with gas over 3 bucks! Hope I have done everything right and I really wish I already had my Plus card, but oh well!

      • Superjen

Call before you leave, the Kroger in my town is out of the Rotel, the Hunts and the toothbrushes. The sodas are the only thing where there is still a bunch left, I would see when their truck comes in and drive over then.

        • Kardomr

get a rain check. also gives you time to gather more coupons.

      • Bonnemae

Good luck! My trip was worth it today. You're right. Normally, Kroger is not worth that drive.

    • Aimee

Just a heads up, some Kroger's have differing coupon policies. The Va Beach Stores do not take internet coupons over $1. Also, they double up to $0.50, but only 4 like items per transaction.

    • Someone bought up all the tooth brushes at my Kroger :(

      • Gillyp3864

        It was me.

        • Kris

          or me?! :)

          • Supersaver281

            or me?? :)

    • ali g.

Have not bought diapers in 12 years. I want to buy some for 2 expectant moms in my church. What is a good price to look for? Thanks

      • Amber S.

$4 to 5 dollars per jumbo pack or less. (I try to stock up around 3 -4 dollars) Walgreens has an OK price on them this week after register rewards.

      • Stacey

I try not to pay more than $0.12/diaper. I use Luvs. They are cheaper than the other name brands, but work really well. The store brands don't work as well for boys – FYI. I hope this helps!

    • Hillary

I don't understand the M&M's deal..how do they come out to $.54 a bag after buying four?

      • Superjen

I think they come out to .79 each. You have to buy 4, the pre-Mega savings price is 2.79. But after the mega sale money comes off, you have paid 2.29 each x 4 = 9.16. $9.16 – $3 (the two 1.50 off 2 bags coupons) = 6.16. Then she is counting the $3 catalina that prints out after you buy it, that brings it down to $3.16. Divided by four, .79 per bag.

        • Hillary

Gotcha…thanks so much for explaining! :)

    • Sarah Ann

Ok, tonight I had all my printed coupons from my computer with me while checking out. I have an old printer so this may be why, but none of them have the bubbles behind the expiration date. I have used printed coupons several times there before. Now they say I can't use them because they don't have the “watermark” bubbles. HELP?!? Is that right?

      • Val

Not all coupons have the bubbles. They should have taken them.

    • Christie

Saved 57% at Kroger today. Thank you Jenny! At first I thought I hadn't gotten credit for the e-coupon I had for the Hunts tomatoes, but upon further inspection of my receipt, I did get credit for it! Yay!! My pantry is now stocked with diced tomatoes, Rotel, veggies, beef stew, and beans for upcoming chili cooking. So far so good on my new year's resolution to really get going with the stockpile. : )

    • Christina

How do rain checks work on mega events?

      • FreedomSpradley1

They put the price of the item less the mega event discount when you get rain checks on these items. You can only get rain checks for items in the sale papers (not everything tagged in the store).

    • studentcoupon

so are all of the items on this list part of the mega event?

      • kaseyshadow

I always get confused about that too. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

      • Val

        Yes

    • Deannaparrish1

Ok tell me if I'm wrong but I think I have a deal planned out for my trip to Kroger tomorrow…

      2 toll house cookies @ 2.29 each (use 2 $1.00 off coupons) = $1.29 each
      2 Kraft cheese slices @ 1.69 each (use 2 $1.00 off coupons) = .69 each
      3 Hunts tomatoes @ .49 each (Use $1.00/3 Kroger E coupon) = .47 for all 3
      3 Rotel tomatoes @ .49 each (Use $1.00/3 coupon) = .47 for all 3

Total= $4.90….minus the $5.00 for buying 10 participating Mega Event items = .10 cents for me!
If I have this wrong please let me know…I am still kind of new at this :)

      • The price listed is after the $5 discount, so you do not take off another $5 at the end. Your total would be $4.90 plus tax. HTH.

        • Deannaparrish1

Oh wow! haha silly me! Thank you for helping me! It's been a long day and I have mommy brain!! :)

        • mj

Are you sure that's how it works? Like Deanna, I thought an additional $5 would come off at the end..

          • Val

Lindsay is correct. Up above Jenny says the price shown is after the megaevent discount

        • Cdial75

I did the same thing last week, I had everything planned, went in there, and I had calculated wrong, and did just that, ( took off an extra 5.00) .. :) oh well, we're learning..

    • Hmiller76

OK I know I'm gonna sound like a idiot, but math was never my thing and I'm very new at this. How do I figure out what % I saved? My total bill was $168.27 and I saved $84.26. Is it 66%. If anyone can help me I'd appreciate it!

      • It's 50% , $84.26 divided by $168.27 times 100 :)

        • Ps no need to feel like an idiot, I just recently returned to college and am using it in Chemistry, or I'd have to google it. My mind isn't what it use to be. lol

        • Hmiller76

          Thanks so much!!

      • Jen

Depends on if the 168.27 is what you paid, or what your bill was before your savings. If you paid $168.27, then your total bill would have been 252.53 before any of the savings, so really the percent you saved would be 33.3%. Otherwise it would be as Joni stated. Hope that makes sense!

    • guest

We had people over this weekend to watch football, so I was in need of some snack foods. Kroger had the Wholly products b1g1 FREE, plus Knoxville area had a $1 off coupon for their queso! Salsa and queso + great sale and coupon= happy night for me!

    • Candace_bamafan

Can anyone help me out with a good zip code for the M&Ms Q?

    • casi

i am really having a problem reading my kroger receipt. like on my easy mac & cheese it says price is .99 and kroger savings is .20 which makes it .79 when advertised is .49 and on del monte veggies price is .99 &savings is .20 when advertised price of these is also.49. i have alot of these on my receipt. i did buy more than 10 of these mega items actually over 30 but not sure if it is right… is the additional $15 taken off for buying more than 30 of these items part of the discounted price that i should factor into this or are my calculations correct and i was overcharged aroumd $15?

      • Mizmeechie

Discount comes off as a flat $5.00 off your total for every 10 participating items. It should show the discount at the bottom of your receipt.

      • Jnn-horan

I see where you're coming from…easy mac comes up as .99 and the kroger savings is .20 …. it means that the price is actually 1.19 and they are giving you extra savings by deducting .20 to bring the item down to .99 and then .50 will again be deducted for the mega sale at the end of your receipt which brings it to .49. hth

    • casi

sorry 1 more thing like on last weeks big freezer sale my receipt read correctly on all my items with price and discount with the exception of my hot pockets which still rang up 2.15 when actual price was supposed to be 1.65 when buying 10 or more which i did.

    • Mizmeechie

Great starter trip today, (4) deerpark 24pk @2.99- (4) $1q, (2) Kraft 2%singles @ .99 – (2)$1 q, (2) garden of eating tortilla chips @1.49 – (2) $1q, (2) sobe juices @.49 – (2) free q's for.99 (I'm still getting them in the mail from the online game a few months back)… also picked up an onion and avacado for diner total 10.66 and got $5 catalina off next purchase for deerpark water. Prices are a little lower in central NC.

      • Did they accept the Deer Park coupons for you? I was weary of taking them because the coupon is for the 8oz and the sale item is for the 16.9oz.

        • Mizmeechie

They scanned w/ not problem at all… I didn't even notice the size listed on the coupon, just the count.

          • Kris

i think the size is for the water with flouride, not the 24 pack? there's a comma in there….

    • ellen

what does the acorn next to some items mean?

      • Mandasparkle

The acorn next to an item means it's a great deal and you could take this opportunity to stock up, since it's at a great price.

    • Okidocbalot

how do we get the kroger mailer? i'm new at this and there are some things I still have to learn, i appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks!

      • Jamie

When you got your Kroger card you should have given them your address. If you're not getting the home mailers try going to customer service and giving them your address.

    • Pam

I just read the digital coupon policy at Kroger's site, and it said that a digital coupon could not be used with a paper coupon on a single item. Does that mean you can use a paper and digital coupon if each coupon is for two items like $1 off 2 soup cans?

      • Lorraine Ferguson

It depends on your Kroger store. My Kroger applies both, in essence stacking the coupons, however stores with newer systems do not allow you to use both.

      • My store applies both as well. Richmond Hill, GA location.

    • Cathy

Ok.. question. I have asked a couple people and we all have different answers. Kroger has bogo Soy Joy bar.

I have a buy 2 get one free.. Sooooo?

If I buy two get two free does the two I bought count for the coupon and I get another one free?

      • Caroline

You should be able to buy three and get two of those free. The register should recognize that you bought two, automatically making one free since that's the sale. Then you obviously have three there, two of which you're buying and one you're getting free with the coupon. HTH!

      • Jnn_horan

Buy 4. Kroger is bogo, so two will be free….then your buy2get1 will take off the price of one. If you buy 3, then you won’t qualify for the kroger bogo on the third one.

    • Candpdavis

Thanks for all the match ups, I am about to try Kroger for the first time, We just moved to Central VA and this seems to be the best store in the area to coupon at.

    • Jgriffin

Many of the coupons listed, such as the 1.25 from the home mailer on Brawny, are expired. Maybe I missed reissues of these same things, or does your Kroger accept expired ones and so they're included in the posting? I just don't want to spend time digging through my recycle for coupons I may have missed cutting out only to find I didn't miss anything, because my Kroger does not accept expired ones.
      Thanks for your hard work.

    • Momstepmom75

Is this a 2 week mega event deal? I am worried I will not be able to make it before Sat. due to weather coming in soon and I do not like to miss out on such good deals.

      • Teresa

I want to know the same thing! Does anyone know if the same things will be on Mega Event next week too?!

      • Jnn_horan

Mega sales usually run twice in a row.

    • Mumof3boys

I am wondering if I am the only one who buys sunday papers at kroger, only to get home and find that someone has stolen the coupon circulars. This is an ongoing problem at all the stores in my area- why do people think it is ok to steal like this? If you want the coupons, either buy the paper or ask your friends/neighbors- but don't STEAL! You thieves give all couponers a bad rep!

      • Theflosslady

Happened to me this last weekend! Can't trust that people won't steal…I will search the paper from now on before i buy! And I will start with the one on the bottom!

        • Mumof3boys

The employees look at you like you are crazy for making sure the coupons are there before you buy… Lol… I usually do check for coupons, but last Sunday we were running late for a party w/ hubby's boss:(

I really wish people would stop stealing them! They even take them out of the double paper, so it isn't like they can even “think” the person buying the paper won't miss the coupons, the only reason to buy the double paper is for the coupons!

If you can't afford to buy the sunday paper, then dumpster dive in the recycling bins if you don't have family and friends to ask!

        • JennyBmom

I agree! I have learned to check through all my papers BEFORE I pay now!! I just call a good friend of mine who is a subscriber every Sunday morning to confirm how many inserts should be in the paper. I always look through my papers near a cashier, and tell them what I'm doing so they don't think that I'm stealing! Some people are just so unethical. Oh, and if that ever happens, you should take your papers back and explain what happened to customer service. It happened to me twice (before I used to check my papers) and they were happy to let me trade them out. They kept my returned ones behind their counter, I suppose to be returned to The Tennessean.

          • Megortiz63

I always stand at the store and flip through the paper to make sure I get all the inserts. May take a minute but saves me being upset that I didn’t get the inserts – since that is the only reason I’m buying the extra papers anyways. Who cares what the store employees think? I’m just getting what I paid for!

      • Joannashipp

I was told by the newspaper man that the coupons are stocked in the papers that are delivered and then in the papers that go to stores. Sometimes they run out of coupon inserts so the store papers just don't get them. But it could also be people taking them out.

        • Mumof3boys

I usually find a corner of the insert taken… Makes me even madder, bc they ripped the insert and destroyed half the coupons in their haste to steal :( This week it was only the SS inserts stolen- probably bc of the free rotel and cheap hunts tomatoes.

Kroger manager told my husband no newspapers can be returned – for any reason :( , walmart was really aplogetic and helpful when it happened there tho.

          • Julied008

That stinks. Why not subscribe to the Sunday paper? It's cheaper and delivered to your doorstep. I love getting mail (especially coupons) and look forward to this “mail” on Sunday's when the mail doesn't run. : )

            • Luci

I've lucked up over the past weeks. A free community paper has had SS coupons in it. So that's been cheaper than home delivery and a nice walk to the box where the papers are. Perhaps some of you can find such a thing too.

Had a problem back when I did have weekend home delivery. Didn't get adequate response when inserts were missing.

          • Jefloyd7

This has happened to me several times at various stores. I just go right back in and tell that I only buy the paper for the coupons and that I would like to exchange it. Every place including Kroger has let me.

One time I got home and realized that the bottom half of the coupons in the insert were printed wrong making all the bar codes unusable. I emailed the AJC in Atlanta and told them the problem and they sent me brand new inserts. You could always email the newspaper and see what happens.

      • Bee

I get my papers where they are kept right next to the clerk. So I always assumed that people would not steal right in front of her! I went in a Sunday or so ago and looked totally through one paper and all the coupons were there. I just randomly picked up a second one and wouldn't you know that the coupons were gone from that one. They let me exchange (and it has happened before). I told her I didn't know what was going on and she as much as told me she knows people do it!

        • Bee

And seriously, how CHEAP (not a compliment) are you if you have to steal coupons?

          • ahjs

Unfortunately some couponers have an entitlement mentality.

    • nurseof2kids

How can i get coupons for pasta???

      • Anonymous

Go to http://www.muellerspasta.com, click on Coupons & Promotions (you may need to create a user name to login if you haven’t already done so). Coupons will appear. Back in December there was $1.00…right now there’s $.55 off. Check here often before you buy past…if it’s BOGO you may end up getting it free!

    • Julied008

My Kroger had 7.5 oz Softsoap on sale for $.88 (regularly $1.69). With the $.35 coupon doubled, that made them $.18 each!! Woohoo!!!

      • Ezerowner

Could you tell me which weeks insert has the Softsoap coupon? I couldn't find it in database. Thanks!

        • Julied008

I'm sorry I couldn't find it in the database either (I was going to list that detail for ya). Oh, I remember now…it's in one of the coupon books I picked up at Kroger a week ago…near my pharmacy counter. I think it's called Healthy Year, Healthy You or something like that. Hope you find it!

      • trianglemom

Which coupons did you use? The $0.35/1 expired on 1/22. Thanks!

        • Julied008

The ones I have expire 12/31/11…from a coupon booklet near the pharmacy at my Kroger.

      • Babsboop

Where did you get the coupon?

        • Julied008

I got it in a coupon booklet near my Kroger pharmacy. Not sure if it might be in some folks' Kroger customer service area…wherever coupons are displayed. Our pharmacy happens to have a table next to it with offers and coupons sitting out.

    • Cle127

what are thedats for mega deal at kroger? does anyone know??

    • trianglemom

Thank you SO much for the great post!

My OOP was $30 for $150 worth of groceries! 80% savings! That incl 4 mega deals and bread, milk, toilet paper etc, Yay for regional differences, I was pleasantly suprised to find that many of the prices I paid was lower than listed (which is really suprised considering the area). The 2% Kraft singles were $0.99! So free with the $1 coupon. The electrasol/finish was also cheaper @ $2.99, the birds eye veggies @ $1.49, Hunts $0.45, Rotel $0.39 and the list goes on.

      Thanks again!!!

      • anna

        what area are you in

        • trianglemom

          NC – Triangle

    • Lasmith9454

My Krogers in Owensboro, KY gave me a $2 catalina for buying 7+ kleenexes! Less than 50c a box! I will stock up at that price.

    • Candpdavis

New to kroger, can I do more than one of the buy 10 get $5 off deals in one transaction?

      • Yes, you are not limited at all on them.

        • Candpdavis

Thanks so much for the quick reply!

      • Ginger

Just make sure you count carefully. If you accidentally get 19 instead of 20, for example, you will miss out on the second 5$ off. Jenny has a tip that I think is really helpful: If you have reusable grocery bags that you bring, just put your 10 items in one reusable bag as you shop, then close that one and start another. Anything not in the Mega sale, just goes in the cart. Have fun, Kroger Megas can be awesome!

    • So, my Kroger applies the digital coupon and also scans the printed coupon. So, I had an idea- There is an e-coupon for $10 off Crest Professional Effects Whitestrips. There is also a $10 off Crest Professional Effects Whitestrips coupon that was in the P&G Brandsaver from 1/16. I'm going to Kroger in a few so I'll let you know if it worked like I believe it should. :)

Also, is anyone having any trouble using the Deerpark water coupon? I noticed it's really for the 8oz size and the 16.9 oz size is the ones on sale.

      • Kris

I wasn't sure if I was misreading it too….was it the 8oz of the flouride water? I think there's a comma in there somehow…..

It worked just fine when I used it yesterday at my Kroger. No beeping :)

        • I was too scared to try but I'm glad I didn't because the 1st cashier didn't know what the heck she was doing and applied my Rx transfer money on my Kroger card 1st, then scanned coupons so it was saying -$3.75 then a not nice old lady came telling her she couldn't do that, blah, blah, blah and that I couldn't use those coupons. So, I said well….if I can't use the coupons then I'm not paying for any of it. (hated to be that way but that was almost $4 and I wouldn't want the Reach toothbrushes if they weren't free) So she took all my stuff to another register and was throwing around all 10 pepsi's I had. Then she re-rang it, used the coupons, then applied the Rx transfer $ from my card and it worked. But she checked each of my coupons 3 times over before scanning them. And I still got the e-coupons off too. LOL….ended up making $1 on my Silk Almond Milk since the price was $1, I had a $1 e-coupon, and $1 printed coupon.

        • Hometownpoodles

LOL The Dreaded BEEP!!! I thought my GFs and I were the only ones that used this term!

      • Nikki_2

Wondering if it worked? I too have both and was going to get it!

    • Ginger

Did anybody find the Barbaras coupon and the Kettle coupon? I can't find either. Maybe I'm just out of it cause I'm sick and the kids are screaming, but I swear I've been all over Barbara's facebook page and I don't see a thing. Same for Kettle. TIA for any help.

      • Kris

there were 2 links to the kettle chips…i could only get the 2nd one to work. HTH

      • SEM

Ginger, the $1 off Barbara’s coupon is actually on their webite. Go here: http://www.barbarasbakery.com/

I printed off two for myself!

    • Mom2boys

I'm having an issue with Kroger taking off my e-coupons. The past two visits to Kroger I've purchased items which I had e-coupons loaded on my card. They took the value off my total from my paper coupon, but not my e-coupon. Is this always the case? Am I doing anything wrong?

      • Tia

i'm not extremely familiar with Kroger, but I thought I had seen that they were no longer stacking e coupons with paper ones, that only one would be applied.

        • Mom2boys

Well that stinks! I'm new to this whole couponing thing and I just attended Jenny's class two weeks ago. I guess that just changed then.

          • Some locations still stack but others say theirs do not. I know my Kroger in Richmond Hill, GA still does. I have been wanting to try another Kroger in the Savannah, GA area because someone cleans my Kroger out of all the items that are less than $1. No tomatoes, no reach toothbrushes, there was only 1 Silk Milk left, etc. They do this at the Publix there too. I'm curious to see if they do it for all of Savannah.

            • itismedia

Lisa, I live in Savannah and shop at the Krogers on 17 and by the Sav Mall and they both stack. I always hold my breath, waiting to see if they are going to join the others and stop taking them, but so far so good!
The Krogers are pretty good at keeping stock, but they wipe out the shelves at the Largo Publix. I never make it until Mon or Tues and usually leave with a couple of rain checks. I hardly ever get the great deals (like the free Maalox and I REALLY need it. I am not just trying to lower my total with it) from the Green flyer. Oh well. I still got 79.83 in groceries of 15.00 (exactly) last week even with having to get the RC. =+)

          • Dawn w

depends on the store, i always load the ecoupon and never count for them to come off, if they do nice surprise :)

        • Luci

Haven't stacked since just before Christmas. Live in Jackson, Mississippi in the Kroger Delta region. May try a stack with the mega sale.

          • SEM

Luci, I also live in Jackson and the I-55 Kroger and Madison Kroger both stack!

        • Ambernicolejules

Nope they are no longer stacking e-coupons and MF coupons if you buy 4 items and you have $1/3 then yes your e-coupon will come off the 4th!!
HTH Some areas may still be doing this so YMMV!
I am in the Houston TX area and they started this lst Nov I believe!

      • sharon60

It's my understanding that you have to scan your Kroger card before they start scanning groceries or it won't take off the e-coupons or it could be that they don't stack anymore. One of my Krogers no longer stacks, but the other one still does. I keep holding my breath that the one I'm using now may stop at any time.

    • Went to Kroger this afternoon for my best couponing trip yet! $15 for a transferred prescription, got $25 back on my Kroger card. Grocery total was $58.48, after coupons/discounts it was $16.88 and I applied my $25 to that so my total out of pocket was only the $15 for the prescription. I still have $8.12 on my Kroger card & I received a coupon for $1.50 off my next order.

    • Sara

This was an amazing day – two shopping trips, one with 73% savings (spent $8.35 on a $30.34 order), the other with 91% savings (pd. $2.47 for a $25.21 order!!!) – some of this is going to our church's food pantry, I'm so excited to be able to give this free stuff away!!

      • Sara

Although – my sales are often different from Jenny's. She includes lots of things not listed in our local ad (Virginia), which turn out to also be included in the Mega Sale, but they aren't at the same prices – usually about 50 cents more. But – we also have a few free items that she doesn't list. I got free Kraft cheese singles, a free Reach toothbrush, and free Kleenex!

    • Tia

I have 2 free Excedrin coupons with a Max value of $5.99. This says that Excedrin 100 ct is on sale for $6.50 I was wondering if I could use my coupons for $5.99 on the Excedrin and pay the $.51 difference? I have had other stores, like Rite Aid and Harris Teeter do this before, does anyone know if Kroger will do this?

      • Carlthedane

It worked for me , I got the Max value and paid the rest.

      • Hometownpoodles

It worked just fine for me too!

    • Caroline

I had a great trip to Kroger today. They had all the items I needed in stock! $102 before discounts, $30.99 OOP, 71% savings. Since I did so well I shouldn't complain but my Kroger unfortunately just caught on and doesn't take ecoupons and paper ones anymore. Two of the coupons she handed me back would have doubled and the ecoupons were worth less. Neither of the catalinas for Chex Mix or M&Ms printed even though I purchased four of each so I need to make sure they're still valid. Can I call the catalina company to get that money? Also, I had four free coupons, two for Sobe, two for Balance bars. She knew that I'd purchased them as part of the mega deal so she only gave me .49 for each bar and .50 for each drink. Is that allowed? She didn't write on them the amount so I have a feeling she'll end up putting the shelf price which means she gypped me. Sorry this is so long, just needed to get all that out! Next time I'll go in the lane with the 30 year old guy cashier instead of the 50 some lady!

      • Ginger

Actually, I think it's correct that she only took off the sale price on the Sobe and Balance. If she didn't write the price on the coupons, there's a pretty good chance that whoever does the final balance her till will write the sale price on the coupons. I worked in a vault for years, and that's what we did. If she puts in the wrong amount, her till will not balance, and some places give write-ups for as little as a dollar off.

        • bds052310

That is not true. The coupons do not balance in the tills. I know that at our store we submit our coupons to a manufacturer and we get money back for them. The cashiers are supposed to put the actual amount of the product before the Kroger Plus Card Discount and Mega Event discount. So she is not doin her job.

          • Ginger

Really? How come the coupons aren't included in balancing the tills? With ours, every piece of media a cashier took was used when balancing the till, whether it was cash, check, coupon or signed cc, if one printed out. If a piece of paper media was missing, you were short. If a coupon came in with a blank value (for a freebie) the vault would just call up that transaction and find the item price and fill it in. Of course, I didn't work for Kroger, so we didn't have to deal with Mega events. :)

Anyway, it's good to know that they are supposed to take off the non-sale amount, cause I don't think they do that at my Kroger, either. Gonna be watching next time!

            • Caroline

My concern with her putting .49 or .50 was that if I'd gone in and only bought those four items, they wouldn't have cost that much, they would have been .99 or 1.00. So that's the lowest price she should have put, or the original price since they get reimbursed for what they write. I wasn't going to argue since I'd held up the line for over 10 minutes while she scrutinized my transaction!

            • Bee

Exactly! I have had to remind some of the cashiers they are supposed to use the price BEFORE the Mega Sale discount. I sincerely believe that they use the Mega Sale Price because they remember it. If they don't remember it, they have to call it up on the computer. And you can bet their computer is going to tell them .99! If need be, always ask them to print that little slip they use for locating the price of free items.

            • Megortiz63

I agree – and thats why I like to use the freebie coupons during mega sales – to get that extra .50 in overage on each free coupon item!

      • Dawn W :)

Actually you only get the sale price if you buy 10, so they are supposed to give you the full amount. They do not count your items. Which would be nice if you forgot 1. Also if you accidentally only buy 9 items, you can go back to guest services take up 1 more item from the mega sale and your receipt/coupons, and they will give you back $5 minus the price of the product. Hope that helps :)

        • Dawn W :)

Also the price does ring up as .99, they take off $5 at the end,9if you buy 10 items) as a store promo, which does not affect the till

    • Kris

I went to Kroger last night….I bought 50 mega sale items, 2 apples, and an 18 pack of coors light bottles……Grand total was $170.12 and I paid $46.65 (Mind you the beer alone was $14!)! Love Kroger Mega Sales :)

    • bs052310

I work at Kroger, and I have to say I love these Mega Events. It is very enjoyable and I love talking to all the customers about where they get their coupons. I'm just getting started on using coupons and I have to say I love it! I can answer any question you may have about this Mega Event so ask away! :)

      • Momstepmom75

Is the mega event going on next week too? I am worried about being able to get there before it is over due to bad weather coming in. 45 minute drive for me.

    • gacouponman

I found .25/1 Rotel Tom. in SS 1/23 used with mega sale (.49) to get FREE 10oz cans!!

    • Bee

I accidentally went to Kroger on Senior Citizen discount day. Oops.

    • Aliciamabel7

I would have .60 in 10 boxes of jello?

    • Aliciamabel7

With 10 coupons the Advil would be free?

      • SEM

With 10 coupons, the Advil would be $5 ($.50 each), if you used the $2 off coupons.

    • Hael80

Does anyone know what Kellog's cereals are included in the event? Thanks. I'm in the Midwest region. Our sale starts tomorrow.

      • itismedia

I am in GA and my ad says, “Select Varieties, 8.5-20oz” There is a picture of Fruit Loops and Rice Krispies. Sorry it is so vague!

    • Fsavage24

Could someone explain mega deals please and how you save so much? She said that the prices are after the $5 discount so how is this a great deal when the reynolds foil is $1 something each after coupon (just my example)?

      • Jnn_horan

Mega event deals are great because it drives sale items down even further than if we just bought an item with a coupon. It gives us a chance to stockpile so we're never in a position of having to pay full price. Just an example since it would be too long to go into detail… Kraft american singles (listed as 1.69, but going for .99 in my region) Bought 6 @ .99= 5.94, used (2) 1.00/1 , (4) .75/1, 1.00/2 e-coupon = 6 pks cheese free and 0.06 overage. I usually buy other stuff to use up the overage (and there was lots in this sale as well as freebies). Bought 60 items and paid 13.00 which would average out at 0.22 each. hth

        • Peaches0732

I cant believe that!! See now that is what I need to learn how to do. Where do you find all those cupons to stack and how do you stack them? I thought if it says one cuopon per purchase then you can only use one coupn for that item. I am so strapped for cash right now that the ONLY thing I have left that I can cut in my budget is food, and I just cant figure out how you can save so much at one time!! If makes me feel very overwhelmed!

          • itismedia

Not every store will allow you to stack coupons. Mine will allow e-coupons with paper coupons, but will not allow me to stack store coupons with manufacture coupons. Go Figure! Ask your store what their policy is. Kroger has a general policy, but they let the managers make up some of their own rules too.
Here are some scenarios for stacking coupons (depending on what your store allows)

Manufacture (Printed online, from newspaper) + E-coupons (loaded onto your card)

Manufacture + Kroger store coupons (Comes in a mailer from time to time after you register your card and show that you are a “regular” shopper. If after a month you haven't received anything, e-mail them. That usually fixes it)

The best – Manufacture + Store + ecoupon

Again, this all depends on your store's policy. You can save a lot of money, especially during Mega events. The best thing about these events are that the items are on sale AND they give you $$ off if you buy so many (like is one is 5.00 off when you buy 10 participating items). These can be mix and matched. You do not have to buy 10 bottles of detergent to get the deal. It could be 3 toothbrushes, 2 detergents, 2 cheese, 3 frozen vegetables. As long as they are a participating, it counts!
            HTH a little!

          • Jnn_horan

I get the same coupons like everyelse gets. My store allows me to stack e-coupons with manufacturer coupons … although to be honest, I only had about 5 e-coupons …. still, they do make a difference so I'm not going to complain. I think the trick to couponing is to have a strategy …. when the list comes up, I usually only go for stuff that is free (almost all of the time its stuff I use) almost free and makes money. If there's something I want or need, the items that make money will usually cover those. I think you also have to realise that when you have a stockpile, there's a lot of things you don't really need to buy, so you can sit back and wait until another sale comes around that bring down price to rock bottom.
            6 kraft – free – .06 overage
            3 reach flossers – free

            1 kleenex – free + .01 overage
            1 new york toast – .49
            6 cans hunts tomatoes – free + .48 overage
            8 cans rotel – free + .84 overage

            10 can delmonte corn – 3.20
            2 apple juice – 2.98
            2 propel – free

            • Jnn_horan

              Total 14.32 – 1.39 overage = 12.93 paid

        • Bridgettescoupons

^That is awesome!!!…what site is the ecoupon on?

          • Jnn_horan

Kroger sent me an e-mail to download e-coupons for 2.00 on 2 gatorade 8pk, 1.00 on 12pk pepsi max, 1.75 on 3 tostito chips, 1.00/2 kraft cheese slices, .50/1 texas toast, .75/1 orville popcorn, 1.00/2 oscar mayer deli fresh, 1.00/1 sabra hummus, and a couple other things ……I think it was for the game day promotion

    • Bridgett

Im so disappointed. I went 25 miles to the closest kroger and publix they are beside each other and I was hoping to pile up, I couldnt find any of the items listed but the hunts and rotel tomatoes. The other items the coupons was not good for because they didnt match the product like the delmonte vegetables. I just started couponing but I feel like quiting before I start

      • Val

Where did you shop? Are you sure your stores sales started today?

        • Luci

If one is in the Delta region of Kroger, sales run Wednesday-Tuesday.

      • Bee

Don't get too discouraged. I know it would be easy to after driving so far. At worst case, you can get rain checks for those items to use later. I have gotten rain checks for Mega Event items and they never make me buy 10 to get the after discount price.

We don't have Publix but I swear I am so impressed by my Kroger, it isn't funny. Of course they didn't have the free flossers, but really it wasn't going to make much difference to me. Every other item that I wanted was extremely well stocked. I would first look in their regular place and would see that it was pretty hard hit-maybe a variety or two of on sale chips or Balance bars and then I would turn a corner and they would have an EXTRA display stocked to the brim. There were multiple displays of each sale item. I think if I can shop my Kroger and find it to be this way, then other Kroger shoppers should complain to their store managers. Obviously it IS possible to adequately prepare for a mega event.

      • Amanda

make sure you ask for rain checks on any out of stock sale items. many stores will issue you them for your trouble. I've only been couponing two weeks and saved $105.00. Don't give up!

    • Couponmom0905

Many of the coupons associated with the sale items listed say “tear pad,” what does this mean and where can I find those coupons? Alot of them are good ones I would like to use!

      • Jnn_horan

In the supermarket, usually next to the product.

    • Awg11

Usually don't post but couldn't help it after my trip to Kroger. My Kroger in Hernando, MS had the Propel water for 0.49 but attached to the waters were coupons for save $1.00 when you buy 2. Yes, free water with the coupons right there in the store.

I don't know how long the stock will last but it is almost to good to be true! I got about 30 and had no trouble!

    • Amy

FYI…in SouthTexas the Lay's Kettle chips arent a part of the mega deal :(….

      • Mandy

The Kettle Chips aren't Lays… they are in the organic section!!!

        • Amydugle!

Oah joy…there are kettle chips made by lays…i was looking at the wrong thing! Thanks!

        • Amydugle

Ok…I checked again tonight on the Kettle chips and as I stated before, they arent on the mega sale in south texas…I live in Pearland and they arent
included….I did however get the Dixie Paper Plates for .49cents with the $1.00 of from the Football coupon book from Randalls/Safeway!!! I will stock up on these!

    • Jnn-horan

Planter peanuts are 1.49 and even have a peelie on top for 1.00/1, making it .49ea. rotel is .36, del monte veg. .32, hunt tomatoes .42 and lots more.

    • Luci

FYI The links to Scotch Tape printable coupons link to coupons which expired 10/31/10.

    • Leah

So annoyed with my Kroger. After years of letting me stack Kroger coupons with manufacturer coupons, they stopped. That's the Kroger in Duluth, GA on PIB. Also annoyed that they had one lane open with NO baggers.

    • Lkmc88

I know this is probably a very stupid question, but do coupons double automatically?

I know for a fact that my Kroger doubles (the ad actually states that they double coupons up to .60) but I looked at my receipt from a previous purchase and I don't think any of my coupons doubled!

      Thanks!

      • itismedia

when looking at your receipt you will see “Scanned coupon” and then under it (if it is an amount that will double, say .50) it will say “Bonus Coupon” The coupon amount should have come off again.
        Scanned Coupon .50-
        Bonus Coupon .50-
        Scanned Coupon .30-
        Bonus Coupon .30-

        HTH

    • MissG818

I totally agree. Publix has a Super Savings circular available. I took advantage of the coupon (on the back) that give you a box of FREE Glad Storage Zipper Bags 30-100ct when you purchase 1 Glad Tall Kitchen Trash Bags (40-78 ct.) If your Publix accepts competitors coupons, you can retrieve $1 coupon from SS (Target coupon) for additional savings.

    • Bstanton

A little disappointed in my first Kroger trip. Turns out the 2 boxes of Kellogs cereal I bought were not included in the mega event, so I overpaid for cereal and missed my $5 off! Next time I guess I need to compare the site shopping list to the sale paper to double check everything.

      • itismedia

You can take them and your receipt to CS, swap the “wrong” cereal for the “right” and they will/should give you your 5.00 off for buying 10. HTH

      • Shumanpj

My store lets me go back & buy what was needed to complete the mega deal as long as the deal is still going.. just take your receipt & ask.

    • trisha

sierra mist is included on the mega deal and right now there were hangtags for $1 off 2 2 liters. it comes to $3.90 for 10!! (after the mega $5 off and $5 in coupons)

    • Wendy Moore

Does the Johnson & Johnson include baby powder???

    • Sokolsinga

Awesome Kroger trip… tons of peelies on the Propel for $1/2… I got about 30… but only 15 with the coupons so I could leave some for others :) tons of rotel and hunt's tomatoes, deer park water and M&M's … the only thing they were out of is the toothbrushes and the flossers… Spent $13, saved $91 :)

    • Sherri711

When you open up a coupon and it is a pdf coupon how many are you legally allowed to print off and use at the store?

      • itismedia

I will generally print two as that is how many a traditional coupon printing site will allow (coupondotcom, bricks, etc…), but ultimately it is up to you and what you think is fair. Two things though, be careful that it is legit. Sometimes they are frauds. I will print them when they come from a reputable site or the site that makes the product. The other thing is that some Kroger stores will only take two printable coupons for the same type of item so printing more may be a waste of ink. HTH

    • Imousework

My trip to Kroger today was pretty good. I saved $103; my oop was $80.00. My total was getting close to $150.00 which concerned me. Then the total dropped down to $112 because of the $35.00 I received from the Mega deals. The cashier, a very nice elderly man, started scanning my coupons and my total dropped down to $80.00. I love to see the total come down. I was very pleased. Not as good as some folks on here, but I'm stocked up for a while on tomatoes and soup not to mention good old Kleenex.

    • Missmommy

In addition to the All detergent being on sale, Krogers in mid-Mississippi also have Surf detergent on the Mega Sale for $2.99. Combine that with the $1 off coupon in SS 1/16. Many Surf boxes say they have a $1 off coupon inside the box.

    • Lisa

I have a question — the m & m's that come out to $.54 after catalina — what exactly does this mean?

      • Jnn_horan

I believe that was a mistake………it's .79 after the catalina. A catalina is a money off coupon that you get back after buying a certain amount of items so it would make the m&m .79.

    • Jennifer

I just went to my Kroger in Tennessee and noticed when I got home that my e-coupon for Duracell did not come off. I checked the Kroger website and per their digital coupon FAQ page (http://www.softcoin.com/Sites/Kroger_ECoupons/Page/FAQPage):
Can I use paper coupons as well as digital coupons on the same item?
Limit of one coupon per item. Digital coupons and paper coupons may not be combined on the purchase of a single item.

    • Kellybelly0628

On the Kraft Mac and Cheese cups, there was a tear pad in the store for $1 off 5 cups so it mad them $.30 each. I found that to be a great deal when I have kids that love Mac and Cheese.

    • Holly3443

My Deer park Catalinas didn't print out and I bought 6 cases, The manager acted like she didn't even know that it was supposed to. She credited me 1 dollar and gave me a 5 dollar gift card. Why did she look at me as though I had stolen something?

      • Jnn_horan

Maybe because she wasn't the one getting 6 cases of water and 6.00 back on it to boot! lol

    • Couponshandy

Where do you find the “All You” magazines mentioned? Thanks!

      • Megortiz63

Its a magazine available for subscription or at Walmart, usually has over $50 of coupons each month. The one you buy in the store almost always has more coupons than the subscription one, though.

        • ahjs

I have been very disappointed in my All You subscription. Each months issue has fewer coupons than the one before.

          • Holly3443

            I noticed that too.

    • Bee

Had an awesome Kroger visit tonight! Tried to go late and on Friday in order to not hold people up in line with my coupons. But, there was only two lanes open and my cashier was new to the register this week. However, she was having great fun learning with my coupons! Plus, the folks behind us were amazed as well! The lady said “I thought I was doing good with my coupons but then I saw yours!”

But the person who always has the most fun is my husband. He likes to tell how much money I save and how I do it and how many ways a person can save at Kroger. It's pretty much like a party every time I check out. I know one of these days someone will get behind me who isn't thrilled by my stack of coupons, but so far so good.

By the way, the Beggin Strips/Busy Bone deal is AWESOME! They are both in the Mega event for $2.49. I got the Busy Bone that is usually $3.57 and that's what they took off the total. Plus, the Beggin Strips had peelies for $1/2. It made it .41 total for both items! That's the only way I can afford treats for my guys!!

    • Lauracall

      Jenni,
I’m new to couponing but I am getting FRUSTRATED! I printed the grocery list from the site, but every time I try to click on a “printable” coupon it requires me to list all of this info to the manufacturer and then takes me to bricks.coupons.com to print the coupons, however, I can NEVER get to the site. It says it’s taking too long to respond. So, long story short, I’ve been at it for over 3 hours and have ZERO coupons. Please help. What am I doing wrong?

    • Dana

Jenny — I just wanted to say Thank You so much! Since I found your blog, I've started shopping at Kroger during the Mega Event sales. And I've saved so much $$! I really appreciate all the hard work that you do. And I recommend your site to anyone and everyone! You are awesome. Thanks again.
