coupons.com has a $1 off one Simply juice making it FREE next week! :)

    • MBGirl

Seems like a lot of stuff that was on sale last week! :(

      • Mickiegibbs

Kroger ads – especially the big things like Mega Events – tend to run for 2 weeks. Kind of a bummer when you want the excitement of something new, but it's good if there's something you still want to stock up on or didn't get the first week.

        • Barb

          So true–

I try to only grocery shop twice a month and the Mega Events help me do this. It saves me money and time. This week I will shop the Kroger Mega and Ingle's triple coupons. Plus, the two week time frame allows time for other people to go in and find deals and report back.:)

    • SKMsMom

Can somebody answer this question for me? Why are cellfire ecoupons considered store coupons but kroger ecoupons considered manufacturer coupons? I find this a little confusing.

      • Val

I don't think cellfire ecoupons are considered store coupons.

      • Dee

I thought kroger ecoupons were store coupons. So are they manufacturer and does that mean I can't use my paper manufacturer coupons on the same item?! I have a full page written of manufacturer and ecoupon match ups that were going to expire soon so want to use them Monday.

        • Jilljova77

My Kroger lets me use both. I always give my card to the cashier first and then my coupons at the end. I have never had a paper coupon denied before because a ecoupon came off. However, I have seen people on here complain that their paper coupons have been denied. I would just try it and see. I always just look at the ecoupons as a bonus if they come off.

        • Ebroyles2001

They take both the ecoupon and the paper coupons for me and if the paper scanned coupon is 50 cents and under they double it on your receipt it says bonus coupon. They will not double your ecoupon.

      • cellfire and krogers are BOTH consider store coupons. therefore you can use your mfc coupons with either of the ecoupons. this is great if both sites has a coupon for the item you're going to buy. for example: $1/2 pringles (you'll have to buy 4 for both ecoupons to come off). unfortunately though, krogers do not have a universal coupon policy so they may or may not take your coupon. my particular krogers do not take smartsource printables but the kroger's 4 mi's away does. the one 2 mi's away from my local one doesnt take ANY printables.

    • GAGirl

Really to me last week was not that great so I am bummed these are the same sale items this week.

        1 schick hydro razor

Beats me why you were bummed!!!!!!!!!!!

        • I think a lot of people get bummed by these mega events because it is mostly processed stuff and not really much to make a meal out of.

          • jhoran

Gotcha..I look at it this way… all the money I will save from not having to buy these items in the future I can now put towards meats and veggies etc, so these are mainly stock up items. I have 4 kids and you know how they have the tendency to eat you out of house and home!!

        • Beth

She's not alone. This week is a crappy week to me, as well. The last Mega Event was much better, IMO. I'm not bummed, but I can see where she's coming from. That's the nature of couponing, though – some weeks, things are on sale that your family simply does not use. This week is one of those week's for me.

    • Pevadiva

Was informed at my Kroger today in Hartselle, AL that they now only accept 3 “like” coupons per transaction.

      • Teresa

Then I guess they don't want our business…. I'll go to the one in Decatur, they always have more items in stock and you always see the manager in the store. If Decatur starts the same thing then I'll start making more than one trip or I'll quit going all together. They have to start making it hard on us.

      • Patricemom

The Kroger in Savannah and Rincon Ga. wont do more than 2 like items and 1 internet coupon per person. Why do they think we will go back?? They have lost my business !

        • Pam

In Savannah you can use 2 printed coupons per item per transaction, that is how the store on Wilmington Island does it…they told me that it was the district manager who decided this….so what I do is break my orders into several different transactions….

        • itismedia

What Kroger do you shop at in Savannah? I have never had this problem.

    • Andrews07

I am in Jackson, TN….and have just been couponing since November. Our Kroger stores here double up to 55 cents. I have found that helpful, in situations like the Pillsbury cookies 55 off one Q…it made the cookies this week practically free, because Kroger here also lets you use ecoupons with manufacturer.

      • Mspain07

Actually Andrews07, I think Jackson does it up to .65! Woo hoo! I called one day and asked. However, the guy that answered could have been wrong. You never know, ya know. ;)

    • Janice

On the kroger-e coupons there is a $7.00 off two benefiber also a $3.00 off one.

    • Kristan

Hey, does anybody know how to get to the Perdue chicken nugget coupons? I can't find them :(

      • Kristina

I have one on SS 1-09

        • Kristan

Yeah, I looked for one and mine doesn't have one :( Oh well

    • malou

Im so irritated at the Kroger by my house. I have a ton of $1 off 2 tostinos pizza rolls but they ran out the first day of the sale and still have not restocked them. I was so excited about getting to use them cause I love those things.

      • Adrian

Ask for a rain check, usually when that happens during a Mega Event CS will write a rain check for the reduced price which makes it a little easier anyway….. can just come back and buy at the great price and not have to worry about doing it in multiples of 10!

        • Jennifer

I tried to ask for a rain check for the pizza rolls. They told me they could mark it down to the $0.70 cent price that the mega event would give but that there is no way for them to print me a $3 coupon, as advertised. :-/ It completely ruined my deal.

        • Shortchikk

Some will write that you have to buy 10 of that item to get that price – make sure you look at your rain check before you leave customer service.

      • sg

I have noticed that several stores do not restock in a timely manner. One is CVS.

    • Elizabeth

I went to Kroger today and found Seventh Generation paper towels on Managers Special for $1.00. I used the $1.00 off and Seventh Generation product and got them for free! Check your stores to see if they have them maked down to $1.00!

    • Scrap14u

my e-coupons didn't all show up check out time, and I had my e-coupon lists, several pages, with me, I planned the trip to use e-coupons and paper, for the added savings. I watched the register to see if the e coupons were coming off as the product scanned, some did…most did not. Customer service pulled my card up on their system and it didn't match what I printed 2 days earlier, and they weren't expired or used. alot of soups and cereal showed up. They didn't know why and didn't offer to take them off manually….SO I didn't complete my purchases, I was not to happy after spending “all the time putting it all together and shopping for the specifics”

      • unfortunately, retail krogers has no control over what spits out in catalina machines or the ecoupon. they also can not manually deduct you what the ecoupon should. i've been told by cs that you can call retail in regards to your ecoupon but i dont see how that will help unless you're doing it as you checkout and that would just hold up the line :

    • Thall561

Went to Kroger today and found HP color cartridges on sale for 75% OFF!!! I grabbed three, but I grabbed the wrong ones. They did not have the ones I needed. They were tri color 97. I needed 95? :( I will return them. And,,, they had the packages of recess pieces, normally $2.50 each, on for 50 cents!

    • Thall561

Bought 20 q's for colgate for $2.00 then got 20 free colgate plus tax at Kroger today

    • Vijtai01

Ok people, I got question? Today I went to kroger to get the Save $3 now and $3 later deal. So one mistake I made was instead of buying 10 items I had only 9 participating items. I realized after I checked out that I didn't get the $3 saving now and no catalina $3 printed for future use, which is obvious since I didn't buy 10 items. Ok so cashier told me to go to the customer service and they can fix my problem. I took the 10th item and purchased it at the customer service counter and the lady gave me $3 back minus the price of the 10th items. So all is well there, right? Not really, I didn't get the $3 catalina coupon, and the lady told me that she have no control over the catalina machine because it automatically prints the deal when u buy the 10 items. So is there any way I can get back my $3 catalina coupon? Is there any # I can contact? please reply if have any idea about this. If not then I lost the $3.

      • Thall561

Next time, just cancel the order an start over. They cannot control the cat.

        • Vijtai01

I already had checkout and my ecoupons for other items were used.

      • nope to my knowledge there is no number or person that can help you with this. i have been caught in this predicament before and what my kroger's cs did for me was gave me a full refund of all 9 items in full value (price before coupons) and pretended i did not use any coupons, then she re-rang all 10 items (at full price) so i get the proper discount and catalina. be warned though, not all stations have a catalina machine. its usually only located by each cashier or self checkout/u-scan.

        pretend scenario:
$1×5 items = $5 (orig price of item $2, used $1 off coupon)
$2×4 items = $8 (orig price of item $3, used $1 off coupon)
        —-
$13 paid 9 items w/ coupon ($22 without the use of coupons)

returns retail price of ($+22) + previously paid out ($-13) = ($+9) profit

$1×5 items =5 (orig price of item $2, used $1 off coupon)
$2×4 items =8 (orig price of item $3, used $1 off coupon)
$3×1 items =3 (orig price of item $3, no coupon used because the cashier would of realized he couldnt take the coupon since that item was missing in original transaction)
        —–
$16 real cost w/ coupon of all 10 items ($25 retail without the use of coupons)

cashier re-rings all 10 items at retail price of ($-25) + ($+9 profit previously returned to you) = ($-16) what cost should of been before coupon

      • Lisadjoyce

One quick way to resolve would be to return the items and then turn around and buy again. .just a thought

When I had this happen in the past the customer service person called the catalina just to verify and then handed me the catalina money in cash vs. the coupon.

      • Swtmicki

Type your comment here.Once when my catalina did not print, I called Catalina Marketing at 1-888-826-8766. I needed information from my receipt and they mailed the catalina to me

    • Thall561

Jenny…what happened to your acorns. I miss them

    • Karri

I just started doing this in January and today I hit my personal best with the mega event plus 29 coupons. My total was 144 and some change before anything was taken off. I left the store paying 67.64 at total of 77 dollars in savings and four 3 dollars off the next trips. I am a little sad I can't use all of them then next time I ago though. But I love Kroger here in Auburn!

      • Patty

You should be able to divide your next purchases into 3 transactions at the checkout then you can use all 3 catalinas. Just be sure you use a cashier that isn't real strict on the rules.

      • Kenzbug

I divided my purchase into several transactions. Thanks to all that post comments here, I learned I couldn't use them all at one time.

    • sam33

ok i am new to the site- i love kroger and thatswhat i am close to…so i went and printed the list for this weeks add of stuff i would need. a little confused- i get some are manufact or store coupons but on the manufact that don't say printable, how do i get the coupon? will it be in my sunday paper?

      • MJC

They are actually in past Sunday papers. You can refer to the date it shows – for example, RP 2/13 would mean that the coupon can be found in the Feb. 13th Red Plum insert. So, start saving your newspapers :)

        • Eyes1227

I'm not sure if I'm posting something you all already know or not, but there is no need to save the ACTUAL paper, just look on the side of the inserts in teeny tiny print is the date of the paper and name of the paper it came from.

          • Sarah M.

And to take it one step further, I followed her advice in the 'learn to coupon' guide and I keep all my inserts in an accordian file, with a big label at the top, where I write the date and the insert company (like 2/20 RP). I use a sticker label (found a bunch on clearance!) and I position it at the top of the cover of the insert, so I can see it at a glance. I'm new, but I have at least mastered that! :)

      • Mandi

There are initials and a date next to them. RP 2/13, SS 1/2, ect… Those are the Sunday papers and the week that they are in. Red Plum, Smart Source, or Proctor & Gamble. She has a really good Learn To Coupon guide that I would recommend you review at the top of the page.

    • newbie3

when it says ss 1/09 or rp 1/20- what does that mean? i get the red plum and smart source but how do i get to that date?

      • those are the dates of the sunday newspaper insert. so on 1/09 sunday's newspaper, there was a ss ad inside. the particular coupon you're looking for is inside that. keep in mind sometimes there is more than 1 rp or ss coupon booklet in the newspaper and usually people dont tell you which one so you'll have to look into both.

Gillette body was was on closeout for 2.50. There are 2.00/1 coupons (I think it was in the PG 1/30 but don't quote me) and there was a kroger ecoupon for 2.00/1. If you kroger allows stacking of paper and e coupon, buty 4 @ 2.50 use (4) 2/1 coupons that's $10 for the product minus $8 dollars in coupons which leaves $2.00 but the ecoupon will come off (if you store allows stacking) so that makes them free.

      • Sg

my store does not allow stacking. however, I used the $2.00 off coupon and got the gillette body wash for 50 cents.

    • Mparfaite

Jenny, zip 37087 has a ad this is the 10 for 10. Anyway, you could generate a listing for it. We don't have the mega event this week. Thanks for all you do.

      • mparfaite

        never mind…I see. Thanks again.

    • Lauraweissjm

HI, I just found manwich coupons at redplum for the Kroger's mega event

      • Barb

I printed those and they said “retailer coupon” that only worked at Publix. If they are the same ones I got, they are definitely not something that is redeemable at Kroger.

        • Kenzbug

I printed them too to find out they could only be used at Publix. That was a real bummer.

    • Mistie_blevins

I have a 'new couponer' question. For example on the Reynolds Foil (2.69) I have a .75 coupon, but there is a printable for 1$ off. So obviously, I want to print and use the $1 off which will bring my total payed to .69. But can I buy another foil and then use my .75, only saving me 1.25, or can i print another $1 off and use it on the second foil just the same as the first? Thanks for helping us newbies!

      • Mistie_blevins

And then I read my own comment and realized my mistake… lol. Sorry I did just realize that I can't double higher than a .50. : )

        • Driley1998

Our Kroger doubles coupons up to $0.70!

          • SuZeeQs

My Kroger doubles any amount, as long as it does not exceed $1.00. In other words, if you have a .75 cent coupon, you get another .25 off as a “Bonus Coupon”. It's about the only good thing about my Kroger. They are so coupon unfriendly!!!!

            • Candidmemories

I am in the Knoxville, TN area, and our Kroger will only double coupons up to .50, so count yourself fortunate if you're getting double on up to .70!

          • Thriftyspender

            where r u located?

      • Lisadjoyce

At Kroger only coupons .50 and below are doubled. So if the Reynold's Foil is $2.69 and you can print a coupon for 1.00 then the final price would be $1.69

Yes you can use the .75 coupon on another Reynolds at $2.69

You can buy as many as your store will let you as long as you have one coupon per item. If the coupon states x off of 2 then you have to have 2 items per coupon.

        Hope that helps

      • Jung307

Usually each grocery store will accept max. 3 “like” coupons, so you should be able to use two (2) 1.00 off manufacturer's coupons for two (2) foils, if you choose to use the internet coupon over your paper 0.75 off coupon.

    • Ebonyannette

My e coupons arent coming off of my bill only certain ones, does anyone know why? Also I added that $5 e coupon from the pillsbury bake off website and it didnt come off my bill…HELP!!

      • Bee

You might want to try back in a few days. I have found that the special promo coupons do not load within the same time frame as regular ones. For instance, I won free chicken wings and it took 3-4 days for it to work at the store. It also happened on another game promotion.

    • Extrafor6

Had to stop by Kroger this am and all Valentines 70% off. They had some cute cookie cutters, etc. Also, my Kroger had 3 oz. pop chips for $1.00.

    • Jill Bruce

i cant get the huggies coupon what zip code doi need to use

      Thanks

      • Christy S.

        try 27587

    • Dabaehrs

I need the huggies zip code too!!!

    • Cccrogers

There are a lot of helpful coupons on target for this weeks mega event at kroger and they are all maunufacturers coupons, i saw a 2.50 for huggies, 1.00 off two oscar mayer wieners, 1 off oscar mayer deli meat, and a couple more. Since they are manufacturers coupons you should have no problem using these.

      • Adrian

My Kroger will not accept them. They say that since they have the Target logo on them they are for Target use only. I am in the Knoxville, TN area.

        • Shelleea71

the target on clinton hwy won't take them either.

          • Debbie

Type your comment here.Neither will Kroger in Seymour, TN.

    • Amber

Question – On Kroger's 10 for $10 sale, I know you can mix and match items…but do you have to get 10 of them? Or is each item $1, no matter how many you buy?

      • Jung307

You don't need to buy 10 items in order to get each item for 1 dollar. The register rings up 1 dollar per item that is part of of buy 10 for 10 dollars promotion deal. In other words, you can buy 1 item for 1 dollar if you just need one.

      • Karnsbandmom

$1 each regardless of how many you buy.

      • cyndi

Amber, I am so glad you asked this! I had no idea you could get them for a dollar. I thought you HAD to buy the ten of something to get them for a dollar! THANKS

    • Kardomr

kellogg's cereal is not on sale in durham.

    • Sarcasticangel_82

FYI: The tidy cats litter at my store LAST WEEK was the huge bucket one and it was 10something so I didn't think it was that great of a deal. Just for those wondering b/c I noticed that she didnt have a price for that one.

    • mom0f2

If I use my mega deal cats. from last week will the new ones print this week? Are they like RR's or can I roll them?

      • couponNERD

Yes, you can “roll” them. If you have a Publix that takes competitor coupons, you may be able to use them there, too.
I rolled my $3 catalinas at Kroger by doing multiple transactions of 10 items. Then used the last one at my Publix.

      • Scottyelw

I didn't receive a $3 cat for my purchase today even though I bought the required items (10 of them). It didn't print and when I asked why, the cashier said it was because I had already used one that I recvd last week. Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

    • Bporritt

Kroger Mega Event last week: My total before coupons $183.30 and I paid $38.13. This is how I got around that $3 coupon only being able to use one per transaction thing they got going on….I did 6 transactions. Yes, 6! The first 5 transactions had 10 items each. I paid for the first one, then rang the second and used my $3 coupon from the previous transaction, repeat. when I finished with those 5 I rang up everything else I bought that was not in the Mega Event. Used my last $3 coupon along with $5 in coupons I had from 2 weeks ago to pay for this transaction. :) Yes, I had coupons (on-line and/or paper) for everything I purchased except my milk and bread. I also had a gift card for $16 on a return.

    • Laborders2000

Thank you for all you do to save us money. I am kinda new to this whole thing but I am certainly learning and winning! Anyway, just wanted to share a find today I came across. You may have already shared this but just in case you have not…
The Gillette Men's Body Wash at my Kroger is on closeout for 2.50. I had a ecoupon on my K card for $2 off as well as a paper coupon for $2 off. So I was able to buy two bottles of it for a little over a dollar. Of course, I bought up what I had coupons for the Colgate toothpaste! What a great feeling it is to save and get things for free!

    • Amber

I bought the Atlanta-Journal today looking for SS coupons but they weren't there. Can anyone in the ATL area tell me where you get them?

      • steph

        Hi Amber,
There is no SmartSource insert this week, only RedPlum.

      • Laura

SS coupons aren't in every Sunday paper. This week it was on Red Plu. On Southern Savers they will tell you every Thursday or Friday afternoon what to expect in your paper on that following Sunday

    • HappyMom

why no acorns – some of these seem worthy, but I want to check with the experts.. thanks y'all.

    • Shelleea71

When I was loading my ecoupons to my kroger card, if you read the 'more info' on each coupon it states that you cannot combine a digital and paper coupon on an item. I have noticed that my ecoupons don't seem to be getting used ~ is that a store policy or corporate policy?

      • Jhansen_3

it is a corporate policy. the store has nothing to do with the ecoupons.

    • Teresa

You can get the Simply Juice or Lemonade, 13.5 oz., for free, there is a .50 coupon in the new spring Heart Healthy magazine at Walgeens.

    • Jhansen_3

I am a supervisor at Kroger, and coupon policies we have come from corporate. At our store we are only allowed to take 2 internet coupons per like item. You can still use your ecoupons and paper ones as long as they come off- we can't control what ecoupons come off. The reason they are starting to limit what coupons we can use is because Kroger is losing TONS of money due coupon fraud.
I have had so many people yell at me and my cashier's over things that are out of our control. We don't control what comes out of the catalina's; we can't control our coupon policies. If we take coupons we are not allowed to take, we can get fired. We are only allowed to take one of the $3 catalina's from the mega event.
People need to be more respectful of the cashier's and the superviser's at Kroger's and realize they are just following the rules.

      • Allison

I don't think the post was about the coupon policy, only the rude cashier. If the cashier had not been rude and yelled across the store, there would not have been a problem. Kroger should realize that all of the ecoupons and catalinas are store policies and Kroger has chosen to honor them. Publix doesn't have either and I save MUCH more money at Publix with NO hassle. Cashiers and supervisors should both be aware that your customer will be extremely annoyed if they shopped at the store because of the coupons/catalinas that you offer and then the savings are not given. I have essentially stopped shopping at Kroger because I can't stand to have buy 10 of something, count the items 100 times and then get to the checkout and find out the ecoupon didn't come off the total and the catalina didn't print. People will just give up and your store will ultimately lose.

        • Sarcasticangel_82

My Kroger has always been nice about taking cupons. The catalina thing stinks though! I only had one to use but I would have been very dissapointed if I had have gotten more. I do wish that we had a Publix in Bowling Green KY!

        • Jhansen_3

The cashier yelling accross the room was the wrong thing to do. No where did I imply that the cashier was in the right,it was completely innappropriate to do. I know that the customer is annoyed that their savings don't come off, it has happened to me many times, but I still treat the cashier like a real person, not some dog I can yell at. What irritates me the most is when I am trying to help someone and they start yelling at me-like it is my personal responsiblity to do everything for them. I can't control a machine, it is not in my power to do that. Everyone just needs to treat everyone else respectfully-not like they are a piece of trash to be stepped on. Just because we work in a grocery store does not mean we are beneath you, we deserve just as much respect as you would give your fellow co-workers.

      • Rondavue66

Actually it is the cashier or supervisor's falult when we have a bad experience at a Kroger. Most cashier and almost all Manager's have no idea what they are doing when it comes to coupon's. I've called corporate numerous times over issues and have been told things that the store has never heard of. I had a manager call corporate while I was standing there to verify that Kroger had coupons on there website. If they would read all correspondences from Corp they might not be so lacking in customer service skills. When a cashier/manager is rude to customer they do not need respect from me or anyone else.

        • Jhansen_3

since when did reading a email about a new coupon have anything to do with customer service? And when corporate changes things or post new coupons on thier website, they don't always tell the stores.
And your right when the cashier/manager is rude they don't deserve respect. But the reverse is also true, when the customer is very rude, why should I respect them? When a customer is nice to me, I will go out of my way to do everything in my power to help them. When I walk up to help them and they automatically start yelling at me and I don't even know what's going on yet, by desire to help is gone. All I ask is that you be repestful to everyone.

    • Jilana Bond

I want to share my Kroger trip from this weekend. I will NEVER give Kroger another penny of my money, not even if they are the last store on the planet. I had my free 12 pack of coke coupon that I had redeamed my points for. The cashier screamed over my shoulder to the next cashier “this is a fraud coupon isn't it”. As if that wasn't enough she started accusing me in front of all the other people in line of trying to commit fraud. So she all but told me to my face that I was a theif. I ask her to give me my coupons back which wasn't that many maybe 5. Told her I was leaving with out my food and I went to find the manager. He basically said the same thing to me. I was so floored I had to leave before I ended having my mouth put me in jail because I was about to loose it. When I left I got in my car and called Publix and thanked them for being so awesome. Has anyone else ever had to deal with this at Kroger? And this is the second time they have done this to me. I wanted to crawl in a hole I was so emmbarrassed. They don't care about the customers at all. I wrote an email to the home office, do you think it will get answered?

      • Bee

I know that you just had about the worst possible Kroger experience ever, but I would suggest that maybe you go to a different Kroger. I know they are all operating under the same corporate policies (as they should be) but there seems to be some huge disparity in how people are treated from one location to the next. The one I go to has AWESOME, AWESOME friendly employees, most of whom have been there for YEARS. They love my coupons and instead of being indignant about their use, they love to see how much I saved and tell my husband how great it is I use coupons, etc. They have also hired some great teens who are conscientious about their jobs.

I have never contacted Kroger corporate, but my guess is you will receive a response. Knowing how I have been treated, there is absolutely, positively no reason for a Kroger (or any grocery store) employee to act as if everyone is out to get them and is one breath away from a criminal offense (which coupon fraud most definitely is).

        • Kneebarjon

I know in my store the management has passed around a letter to all cashiers with the picture of the fraud coupon, as we have been getting MANY of the fake coupons. They are supposed to check the picture and make sure that the one you have is not fake. I am sorry about the bad experience that you had, and the cashier was in the wrong, they should not have treated you that way.

      • Telisa G

I had a similar experience with one of my coke rewards coupons, but they were alot nicer about it since I went to my regular cashier and they know me very well. Apparently there IS some fake coupons out there that look just like the coke rewards coupons so I'm sure this is why they gave you a hard time. IT is not right and I myself would have been horrified if they acted like that to me, but I just wanted to let you know that there are fake coke rewards coupons out there.

      • Guest

My Kroger will not take any printable coupons for free items. This includes the coupons that are mailed out from companies that look just like the ones that you print off. Not sure if that's the type of coupon you had or not, but regardless, they should not have treated you that way.

      • Tara

I had a very similar experience with Kroger. The girl accused me of stealing because it was a manufacture coupon with a walgreens ad on it. I said, look its a manufacturer coupon, it says so right here. She said that people like me make her sick trying to steal! I was so mad! My mom was with me and talked me down. The store manager basicly defended the girl saying that she was a great associate. I said, I worked in retail for years and if I had spoken to someone in that manner, it would have cost me my job. I can't believe you encourage you employees to act that way. I called corporate, they sent me a letter saying they were sorry I had a bad experience. Im only going this week because my mom gave me coupons for free milk and eggs there. Good luck!

      • Patty

I'm not sure if you will come back to these comments but are you willing to tell us where the Kroger was that you had this experience? I shop at several different Kroger's in the Atlanta area and have found some are much more coupon friendly than others.

      • rita

I had a similar situation at my Kroger (Aiken, sc), I was trying to use a coupon I had printed in draft mode and they said they couldn't use it because it was a copy. I explained to them why it wasn't in color, and that it was NOT a copy – three times, actually. They kept saying it was a copy, and I told them I did not like being called a thief. When I got home,I called the manager, who was very polite and apologized, and did offer me a $15 gift card the next time I came in.

    • Belalala

I shop at Kroger weekly but never get the Kroger home mailer that contains coupons, can some tell me what to do…

      • Patty

You need to contact customer service to be sure your plus card is registered correctly. Also, you have to be a regular Kroger shopper that doesn't just buy a few items every few weeks. They track your buying habits and the coupons are often for items you buy regularly. Some mailouts are standard for everyone that gets one and others are connected to your past history.

    • Mary A

I hate that you had such a terrible experience with your Kroger! After you have had some time to cool down, however, you might try shopping at another Kroger. Sometimes one or two employees can be the “weakest links” in an organization and can create a bad impression which should not be applied to all. My experience with Kroger has been very positive and I feel that their deals are so worth it! There are some clerks I like better than others…some have given me back a coupon or two and told me I couldn't use them for some reason or another, but they have always been respectful, never accusing. I find Kroger the easiest store of all to work with on coupons and have saved hundreds, maybe thousands, of dollars there over the past years since I started couponing. If I miss out on using a $1 or $2 coupon here and there, I have made up for it elsewhere in savings. I'm sure I would feel like you if accused of fraud, but try another store and avoid the deals that are “on the edge” like some of the questionable internet coupons for free items. There are plenty of straightforward good deals to be had that will not freak out the cashiers. I have LOVED this Daytona event! I had not read the “one per order” printed on the $3 rewards coupon until now…My store has been taking multiples from me all week! Whoops! We do not have a Publix here, but compared to our other choices, Kroger wins hands-down! Just try not to let those employees with a poor service attitude prejudice you against all Kroger employees…just as they should not assume all coupon users are greedy crooks if some few misrepresent us!

    • Suzanne

Sorry for the bad experience at Kroger. I did find one good deal. A FREE RAZOR. Its the Schick Hydro. There is a ecoupon on Kroger website for $4 off and on in the news paper for $2 off. My kroger has them on sell for 5.99 The newspaper is SS 1/30

    • Cindy Abidi

How about posting a big warning that you can only use ONE $3 catalina from the Daytona MegaEvent on your next trip? Or at least warn us to split up our trip? I use your site regularly to shop from and i absolutley love it….but I wish I had realized that i couldn't use all three of my $3 coupons from last week. I don't always get around to reading all the comments……I use your site to save time :)

      • Fgavent

Please don't take this the wrong way – but you really need to read the comments. Many people had posted this over the last two weeks. You will find spending 15 minutes reading the comments will save you a lot of money and hassle! Happy Couponing!

        • Shavon

So if I use a $3 coupon I got a few days ago…. will I not get another one when I check out tomorrow after buying my 10 items? Just double checking before I head out to the store. I will hold out to it if it keeps another one from printing.

          • Rgbarron01

If you purchase 10 participating items and spend a $3 catalina in that transaction you will still get another $3 catalina. You can only spend one $3 catalina per transaction. Hope this helps!

            • Shavon

              thanks!!

            • Faye

As of today .My Kroger got an e-mail from marketing tell cashiers to override $3.00 Daytona coupons .So customers could use more than one . I used 8 And got (10 pkgs.) 12 double roll kroger tolilet tissuse for for $9.90 . So I had a Great day at Krogers

      • jhoran

Yeah, we all found out the hard way, but just pretend you are at walgreens rolling your rr's and you've got yourself a deal. Also, since you started out with 3 coupons, you will end up with 3, so I suggest you use them on the last day of the sale so you will have 2 weeks to use them up.

      • Andrea

My catalina did not say on it that only one could be used per order so I asked for a manager. She said they are having to do overrides for the ones that printed without the “one coupon per transaction”

    • Eunice Waddell

I am new at doing coupons an i know i have a lot to learn i have been reading about fake coupons .I dont want to wait to get up there to check out an i have some faked coupon's how can i know they are faked what am i suppose to be looking for ?

      • Bee

        Hi Eunice,

The coupons recommended by this site will not be fake. There is an email you can sign up for to get the new coupons emailed to you (links to them). Click on “Deals in your inbox” at the very top of Jenny's page. Coupons you print from the branded coupon sites are not fake, either (smartsource, redplum, etc).

However, I would be wary if you had a friend for example and they gave you some coupons for free items that looked copied or that you had not heard about on a blog. If you want to, you could always verify such things with that manufacturer's website. There is really no such thing as “too good to be true” in coupons, but if it's an unusually high dollar amount (like over $5-$6) then you might want to question the source. All legit coupons also have a bar code to scan and numbers associated with the bar code.

Sometimes a legit coupon will not scan at the store. Doesn't mean they are fakes. The only places I've been refused by the cashier when a coupon doesn't scan is CVS and Target. Most cashiers will look closely at the coupon and then check to see you purchased the item and if they match, push it through. But don't give up in such situations. I have just gone through a different line to a cashier who thinks a little more or used it at a different store.

Some manufacturers (but not most) will issue a coupon in the form of a PDF which means people can potentially save it to their computers and print it as many times as they want. It is my opinion that companies know this is possible and while they wouldn't encourage people to print extras, they are well aware people are going to do it. One company I know of, Sunbelt, regularly issues these coupons and tells people they can print as many as they want.

I have been doing this over a year successfully and am just now finding out that some people don't have any scruples when it comes to this game. I have had people ask if they could copy my coupons. They seem to think it's okay to do that. I tell them one time that it is a criminal offense. After that, it's not up to me what happens to them, although they are hurting everyone.

Hope this helps and good luck!!!

        • msval

i just experienced a really embarrassing situation this morning went to kroger inl lake city, ga to stack my $7/2 benefiber coupons and it would not scan it took 5 cashiers to check and one said it looked fake and even look thru their book of do not accept folder it was not on their list and they still did not accept it i was really upset because i shop there nearly everyday cause it on my way when i drop my daughter off at school, it was'nt because ithey didn't take it, it was the way the one of the cashier said it, i'm really tempted to drive further to shop at another kroger store for that reason, i'm not into scamming anyone i get all my coupons from this site and i know there legitimate because i've never had a problem anywhere else

          • itismedia

I had this problem at Food Lion back when Kraft had their 5.00 off 5 packs of cheese. The Manager accused me of trying to pass off fake coupons. He was grilling me. Apparently he had been to a class on “how to tell if a coupon was fake”. I pointed out the advertisement on the package and then proceeded to teach him how to tell if a printed coupon was “real”. I showed him water marks, etc…He actually took one of my coupons and made a copy because he did not believe me. In the end he told me he would, “take them just once”. I told him this was my second trip and he should expect to see hundreds of them! I still wonder if his head exploded. I haven't seen him in awhile. =+)

          • Desiree

Go to the Kroger.com website, click on contact. COMPLAIN. And while youre there if you would do a personal favor for me, complain about their policy on accepting ONE of their own $3 dollar off coupons per transaction! I get to go there today and be the jerk who splits one order up into 17 transactions because of THEIR policy. Either that or toss over $40 dollars in the trash.

    • Clippinit

This may have already been posted but I was just looking at my Daytona $3 coupons from my last weeks mega event spree. I'm new at this but on the back of one of them it states “receive a coupon to save up to $3.00 when you buy GENERAL MILLS, (Betty Crocker Fruit Flavored Snacks)” between 2/21 and 3/20

      Buy (3) & get 1.00….or

      Buy (4) & get 2.00….or
Buy (5) or more and get 300

This means it is a current Catiaina item, correct?

      • itismedia

Yep, it is. It started 2/21 and runs through 3/20

    • Labdinoor

My Kroger is advertising a 10 for 10 sale but I don't see it posted here. Anyone got infor on it and it list of participating items?

      • itismedia

They are listed above, they are just not in their own section. You do not have to buy ten to get the deal, they ring up 1.00 a each. Jeanie has them marked as costing 1.00. HTH

    • Learning..

I am to couponing…and I am confused on what coupons I can mix together. For example…If I have a $0.50/2 ecoupon on my Kroger card for Pillsbury Toaster Strudel and I also have a $0.60/2 printable SS coupon, Can I combine the 2 for $1.10/2 off? And also does doubling work on ecoupons?

It varies store to store whether they will let you combine a paper coupon and an ecoupon. They do not double ecoupons, though.

Great news!!! As of today, we are not limited to using only one daytona coupon per transaction. Apparently, Kroger received so many complaints about this issue that they had to give in and allow people to use whatever they accumulated.

I bought 4 dozen eggs today and tried to use the coupon listed above. The cashier said it was only for the Incredible Egg brand of eggs, not Kroger brand. I'd never heard of that brand and have since researched a bit and found that the “Incredible Edible Egg” phrase is for all eggs (kinda like “Pork…the other white meat” is a general phrase for pork). The coupon is to be submitted to the American Egg Board. I will be taking my coupons with my receipt to the customer service desk the next time I'm in the store!

I know this is frustrating and a pain (especially since you have to go back to the store), but I started laughing so hard when I read your post that I was crying. “Incredible Eggs” Lord, bless that cashier's heart!

My Kroger in middle TN has the 33 loads of Purex detergent as part of the mega deal, making the price with mega deal $2.39 and the $3 coupon worked on it.

I have to say my Kroger for the most part rocks! I hit the last day of a two week Mega sale and EVERYTHING I wanted was in stock. They also let me combine e-coups with paper ones. If they would only let me use more than one 3.00 off cat. mega coupon they would be perfect (It does say one per transaction so it really isn't their fault).

120.39 in groceries for 54.34 and 12.00 in cat. mega coups!

Found a good deal today but probably ends tonight. I am not posting at the last minute because I ddint want anyone to know about it ! LOL! I just found it. I had coupons from a nabisco display. It was for 1.00 off 2 liter coke when you buy 2 barbecue sauces. We'll the coke & the barbecue sauce are part of the mega 10.
So I bought 6 kraft barbecue sauce & 4 coke 2 liters. come to 5.34 plus tax & I got back 3.00. so 2.34 + tax for 6 barbecue & 4 -2 liters. I was pretty happy. I have one child who drinks barbecue sauce, we'll almost !!
