rite aid ecoupons

Rite Aid is moving into the eCoupon world in 2012 with their new Load2Card program.

I told you that they were coming a few weeks ago, and they are now live and ready to use!

Login with or register a new Wellness+ account.  If you do not have a card you can request one by mail while registering.

Look through the Rite Aid coupons and check the boxes next to “clip” on the coupons you want.  They will be added to your card and come off at the register automatically when you checkout like all other eCoupons.

The program has some high value coupons for name brand and Rite Aid brand products (like $4 off Vitamin D or $2 off Rite Aid Diapers).

Heads up: if you clip any of the national brand coupons to your card you will not be able to use a paper coupon with them.  You will only get the eCoupon in the store.

    • Mel

So you probably also can’t use an e-coupon with an in-ad coupon for store brand things either?  Or what about video value coupons?  Or maybe they just won’t put out video value coupons AND ecoupons for the same item?  I just got a pamphlet on this this morning, so I appreciate reading a little more about it from you.

    • Srgordon

My email from Rite Aid stated we could still use paper coupons and the manager today stated I could too, so don’t know if that is correct but learned today that up rewards are now going to take 24 hrs to become active.  They have losted my business because of that and not getting the ups for the centrum (suppose to get $10 wyb $50 didn’t print) going to call corporate tomorrow

      • Fallaya

I didn’t the +ups for buying the $100 Visa gift card…ugh…so tired of having to go thru corporate for stuff like this.

        • AlohaWahines

That’s because they sent down communication to post on the door and the gift cards that this was an error.  If you had purchased the gift card on Sunday then in a minimum of 48 hours your up reward will print on your receipt with your next transaction.

          • kristi

I got mine on Sunday and my reward printed on my receipt

      • AlohaWahines

You were suppose to have your card linked to the Wellness + for diabetes.  If you don’t then the up reward will not print. Your store has a barcode to link your card to the program.   All you have to do is ask.

    • Courtney

Rite Aid still is the best drugstore to shop at! They have the most deals-with UPs offered on ALOT of products (compared to CVS), 20% (after 1000 points), and Video Values. CVS doesn’t even compare. And as far as not being able to use UPs on the same day, you are STILL getting money back on a product-BE HAPPY!! People are getting so spoiled!

      • Ginger

Well, personally, I often need to use my UPs on the same day in order to keep out of pocket costs low, as I am on a strict weekly budget, and making multiple trips to the drugstore every week doesn’t always work out so well.
From the comments I’ve read on here, I don’t see anyone acting spoiled, but I do see someone acting just a touch judgemental.

        • Bel

i so agree with your comment, im not seeing as many good sales every week as before i used to shop every week and never worry about my up rewards expiring but i just recently lost $20 ups due 2 thinking i had more time and hoping the next sale would be better

        • Bel

yes i see some ppl still like 2 judge, personaly i don’t care how many tubes of toothpaste ppl have, I sure wouldn’t mind having 50 tubes in a stockpile….RA has put limits on most of their sale items and have been really good lately about keeping the shelves well stocked even the 1 RA in my small town so i don’t know why there are still ppl out there complaining about long lines, couponers and their stockpile.

      • Guest

Maybe it would be okay if the UP rewards expired in a month, like CVS, instead of 2 weeks.  I can’t always count on RA having a good sale on something I want in the next 2 weeks in order to go back & roll them.

There could be a huge discussion on who is better – CVS or Rite Aid – but I don’t think that is a necessary debate.  CVS has a lot going for it too.

      • James

actually, you can use your plus ups directly after buying an item! :) i know because i work for rite aid.

    • Courtney

I wasn’t directing the comment to anyone in particular about being spoiled-I have felt this way for awhile, reading comments here and there! We are getting so much stuff for FREE or making money to buy it-I don’t understand how people can complain! I love couponing and feel grateful to be able to save as much as I do!

      • Ginger

I can certainly agree with you on that!

      • Ginger

I can certainly agree with you on that!

      • Fallaya

People are just venting/blowing off steam.  Nothing wrong with that.

My Rite Aid also said that in addition to the UPs loading onto your card now, you will not be able to determine which ones you use for a certain transaction or order.  For example, you can’t buy items and say, “Okay, I want to use the $3 and $2 UPs from my card, but wanna save the $5 UPs for the next order.”  The computer will control which UPs are used and you nor the cashier will have any control over that.  Don’t know if it is true, but that’s what my store said.  U won’t see me there very often anymore.

      • AlohaWahines

That is not true either.  This program will roll out later in the year after they test pilot the program in another market and work out all the kinks. Keep shopping the way you normally do.

When I was in my Rite Aid week I told the cashier I wanted to do multiple trans so I could use my +ups. I was told that after the first of the year you can no longer do this because the +up rewards are not good until the following day. I’m not too fond of Rite Aid and this just might be it for me and Rite Aid…….but I still have CVS (:
Just check with your store and see what they tell you.

      • Debbiesc

They have gone down hill with me since they changed some of their policies, guess that explains the empty parking lot Seriously, it is across the street from Walgreens at a major intersection and there is never any cars there, ever!

        • alison v.

same exact scenario on broad st in chattanooga!

        • AlohaWahines

Walgreens is always more crowded no matter where you live.  I live near a CVS and a Walgreens only and Walgreens always has double/triple the amount of cars in their parking lot.  It’s because of certain insurance companies locked in to Walgreens that they had contracts with so you had no choice but to go to Walgreens.  Same with CVS Caremark where they thought they could only get their prescriptions at CVS.  Anyway, not much has changed with the coupon policy with the exception of the B1G1 Free sale.

      • Fallaya

I was also told I could not do a “post coupon” transaction-for example, if I forget to use a coupon for a previous purchase, they will no longer allow me to bring in the coupon for cash reimbursement.

        • AlohaWahines

That is not true.  If that was the case just return the item and then use the coupon on the next transaction.  All it will do is create more work for the store you shop at since they are not coupon friendly.

      • Mingoleger

I had no problem doing this at my RiteAid yesterday (Jan 2 – after the first of the year). Did one transaction, got $10 +up, used it on the next transaction. I wouldn’t have even known the policy changed unless I read it here. Is this now an official company policy?

        • AlohaWahines

I had no problem either.  Just went shopping again today and had no problem.

      • SmoochTheCook

I’ve said this EXACT phrase oh, a dozen or so times.  Esp. “…but I still have (My) CVS”.  See, I claim MY CVS….no one elses.  They’re so “forgiving” for so many snags that I end up presenting.  <3 'em for it!

      • AlohaWahines

That is not true.  It is being tested out in three markets in the company.  If the program goes like they think it will (I don’t think so), it will roll across the company later in the year.  So, if your store scanned the up reward and it took it then you are not affected yet.

        • Nita Royal

My Rite Aid informed me yesterday that this was system-wide, but based on the reliability of their knowledge, I’m not sure what to believe.  Either way, they would not let me use my UPS from lunchtime when I went to a different store after work.

      • Jamesalp09

well that girl must have been a dumb lazy person, cuz i work for rite aid and that isnt true we had no problems with the ups at all for the customers.. i think you should just let management know that they have a bad seed!

I’d love to hear someone’s feedback on how this works after they try it. I have found RiteAid often a more complicated place to coupon than CVS (especially after their new coupon rules recently), and I’m wondering if this will simplify things or not…

    • Momof4

This is real world. You dont get something for nothing. Riteaid still gives you rewards. This waiting 24 hrs to use your up reward is great. Keep lines short from all thr couponers who already have 50 tubes of toothpaste.

    • Nita Royal

On the Load2Card program, the comments below have me confused about how it works.  I signed up, and there were 22 digital coupons available to load.  Most of them were for store brands, and items I don’t use.  However, some comments below indicate that this will cause my UPS to load to my card.  I don’t see anything on the web page indicating this.  Even though the UPS are often a scan problem, I’d still rather get them than trust the RA system to work!  Can anyone clarify this?  If you have bought UP items after signing up, what happened?  Thanks!

      • Momof4

Your ups will not load to card

    • Kmadonna

I am waiting to link to card… Let someone else be the test case ;)

    • Fran

Riteaid is going to take some heat on this one.   The program for $20. up rewards for $l00. of listed items included Vanilla Visa cards (listed in Ad and in pamplet)  I purchased one today for $l00. and did not get the UPS,  Manager was very nice and told me they had pulled the Visa from the list……I told him I’d call Riteaid as they have always in the past taken care of any problems like this, but this time I was told I could return the card and get my money back and the fee cost but they could do nothing about the UP reward…

    • Couponforever

I had a similar problem with the Vanilla Visa giftcard!  So annoying.  The one I purchased said “Gift card” and “vanilla” all over it but since it rang up as a “gift box” it was considered the wrong giftcard…and they would not let me purchase the correct one with the one I had purchased.

    • I work for Rite Aid, what ever cashier told you the ups reward can not be used the same day is WRONG. Please ask to speak to management, the store manager will straighten the cashier outl. I agree with the comment below, a lazy cashier.

    • Kcanseco

the load 2 card program won’t let me log in saying I already have a wellness+ account. Is anyone else having trouble with getting to the online coupons??

    • Momof4

There are some test markets that are testing the uprewards not working til next day. Coming later in 2012 company wide
