Oooh! I love office supplies!!! Thanks, Jenny!

    • Are you serious about the labeler? I needed one for my coupon binder setup and just paid $23 for one at Wal-Mart. It would be GREAT if I could score one for FREE!

      • I just found the ad and I guess it is a valid deal. I'm going to return the one I bought to WM and then buy the one at OD. Plus, I can get rewards on the batteries too! Yay!! I love me some deep discounts!

        • beth

I couldn't locate the labeler on the website @ that price point via the OD search engine. You may wish to wait to return WM one until you get the OD one in hand. They will likely sell quickly if there are any left. It is a great deal!

    • Shari

Is the rewards card that you get back only good at office depot? Just curious

    • AObreezes

“Limit 2 products per member per day”

      • Shari

the one in my area reads limit 2 of each item per member per day

      • S_Carolina_Girl

Can someone clarify…does this mean 2 of EACH product per day, or just 2 products TOTAL per day that give 100% back in rewards? I'm thinking it means only 2 products TOTAL per day, which really isn't worth it unless you absolutely need it, or can order more than $50 for free delivery.

        • amillee

In Nashville, the weekly ad states “Limit 2 of each item per member per day” – I would think this means I could get 2 of every item on the page every single day and get 100% back. Yay!!

      • jessica

Online it states “TWO ITEMS” per member, per day. So, be careful! Especially if you are ordering online! I read the fine print online and it clearly states two items per day. Not two of each item. Just a heads up.

    • Nicole

Can this be done online? and if so do they offer any type of free shipping?

    • Dianne

Would someone please share how long it takes to get the rewards card back in the mail?
      Thanks!

      • beth

From OD website: “Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for additional rewards to post to your account. Rewards are paid quarterly in the form of an Office Depot Reward® Card when you earn a minimum of $10 in Rewards. Unpaid Rewards carry over from quarter to quarter within a calendar year. Call 866.322.3225, visit http://www.myworkliferewards.com, or ask a store associate for full details. Limit 1 account per household/business.”

      • JJ

The rewards are only good in an Office Depot store, and don't count on seeing it before the first or so of September. It's not one of those visa gift card things that can be used anywhere, and you can't use a rewards card you already had or anything.

    • beth

Recommend verifying the purchase limits. Website clearly states “limit 2 products per member per day”. This has very difference implications than limit of 2 per product per member per day. It could be a very costly mistake, if not verified first.

From the Office Depot Workliferewards.com website:
“View the complete list of qualifying products. Offer is valid in store, online, by phone or fax from 4/11/10 – 4/17/10. Must provide Member Number at time of purchase to receive additional Rewards. Offer is not available in Canada. Limit 2 products per member per day. Office Depot Brand Photo Paper qualifies for 10% back every day. All other supplies qualify for 1% back in Rewards every day. With this promotion you will receive an additional 90% back on photo paper and 99% back on all other supplies for a total of 100% back in Rewards. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for additional rewards to post to your account.

      • beth

I am replying to myself here…as a point of clarification. I went to OD in Pineville, NC. They allowed to to buy two items of each item on special for the worklife rewards rebate. What was printed in the website as above “Limit 2 products per member per day” is different than was printed on the sales flyers in the store “limit 2 of each item per member per day”.
Also the sales clerk said that it was acceptable to use my worklife rewards to pay for the purchase. This was in contrast to the “qualified purchase” stipulation on the worklife rewards website.
The inconsistencies in the advertising online versus print as well as the varied definitions of a qualified purchase, have me a little wary.

        • liz_in_SC

Beth, rewards gift cards can certainly be used on any purchase in the store except other gift cards, etc.
However, the kicker is that payments you make with the gift card will disqualify that portion of your purchase from receiving the future rewards otherwise available. In other words the program is set up so that a person cannot “roll rewards” forward and receive additional bonus for items paid for with previous bonus reward.
I've found it most profitable to use the “rewards giftcards” on things that qualify for little, if any, additional rewards …such as technology items and postage stamps. I never use them to purchase ink, paper, or special promos which offer 10% or higher rewards. HTH

    • liz_in_SC

Important FYI here! Please note the “qualified purchase” stipulation. If you use an OD gift card, rewards payment card, or OD merchandise card in payment for your merchandise, that payment will be considered unqualified. This is per the fine print that explains Worklife rewards and qualified purchases. You can verify this on the OD websiste (worklife rewards section).
All rewards are paid after the end of the quarter. The next payout will be approximately Aug 16 for the current quarter that ends June 30. (They hold it an extra 30 days for returns to hit the line…then it takes two more weeks to process and arrive in the mail.)
      liz_in_SC

      • beth

Phew! Thanks so much, Liz. I was going to use my rewards card. Hmm…rethinking if it's really worth going now since I can only get 2 items per day and I will have to pay cash. However, it is notable that the next payout will be at back-to-school sales time. There are typically some good deals that quarter.

      • carolinesurfs

        So I'm a little confused..

I bought the paper, sharpies and other freebies that Jenny advertised a few weeks ago. Does that mean when I get those rewards back, that I can't use it on other freebies like those mentioned here?

When I signed up I was thinking it's like rolling rr's or ecbs, but based on what you just said it sounds like it doesn't work like that.

        • liz_in_SC

You can certainly use it, however you will not earn more rewards for that portion of your purchase paid by your rewards giftcard. In other words you cannot roll it perpetually.

      • liz_in_SC

****Replying to myself to add a Money Making tip.
Office depot currently offers a $3 reward to turn in your empty ink cartridges for recycle. You must have a rewards card (either worklife or star teacher). ***be sure your card is scanned*** The reward is paid as a bonus on your next worklife/star teacher quarterly payout.
Currently you may recycle up to 20 empty cartridges per month…(any brand) for a extra bonus reward of potentially $180 quarterly. This program does change frequently, but this is the new program as of April 1. You can read more about it on the OD website.
….so if you are going to OD anyway to take advantage of the 100% free promo, turn in some empty ink cartridges for recycle to bump up your reward by some serious cash. :)

    • Amy B

I have a rebate for $10 back when you buy $20 worth of Post-It products. I’m thinking of pairing it with the Post It Pop Up Notes. Do you think this will work?

      Rebate form:
      http://www.3m.com/us/office/postit/labels/3M_Postit_Label_Rebate_Offer.pdf

      • liz_in_SC

Amy, I would think this 3-M promo would work with the Office depot purchase. There will be nothing on your office depot receipt to indicate the “rewards” promotion. (scary isn't it?) So it will look just like any other receipt if you pay by cash or charge card. However if you should happen to use an office depot store coupon with this promo, your receipt would show a pro-rated discount applied to each item purchased. In that case, you might need to purchase more items to meet the $20 requirement of the 3-M rebate.

    • Amy B

When I enrolled in the Rewards program, I received a coupon for $10 off $50. Can I use this coupon and still qualify for the 100% rebate?

      • liz_in_SC

Your “reward” would be reduced by that part paid by the coupon. Some OD coupons are coded so tightly that they will not work for things even hinting of technology (like labelers and batteries); but should work fine for supply items.

    • Wow, thanks, I had missed this somehow! I will probably only pick up a couple items, but you really can't beat free!

    • amanda

I am so confused by this! the paper says 2 of each item per member per day…
but the website says differently. What should we go by?

      • big john

my wife verified in store and ad 2 of each per day.

      • JJ

Customer service rep on the phone said two of each thing per day, so you could get 12 things as long as there are just two of each type. You could get two packs of labels, two cases of water, two pads etc.
HOWEVER…Office Depot has a big problem of one hand not knowing what the other is doing. I am going to be conservative with this one and just get two per day total and avoid ugly surprises because that's a lot of money for me to be out until Sept.

    • pennycaudill

I called also and the lady said a memo just went out saying the ad was correct and they will be updating the website to match the printed ad. You are eligible for 2 of each item per day.

I also asked about a $20/$100 coupon I received today when I signed up and she said I could use that coupon too. There are several things I need, so I do not think I will have a problem spending $100.

Is anyone aware of the ability to use a $20/$100 and still get the rewards? I know she said it was okay, but it still makes me nervous.

      • liz_in_SC

You may use a valid OD store coupon on your purchase, however your “reward” will be reduced by the part paid by the coupon. OD store coupons almost never work on technology items (the batteries or labeler could possibly cause a problem here if that coupon is tightly coded).

    • tcpanz

Does anyone know if this works with the Star Teacher card or if you have to get a different Worklife Rewards card? Even the customer service lady wasn't clear when I called. She said she thinks I need a Worklife Rewards card but it wouldn't let me sign up for one on-line using the same info as my Star Teacher card so I am thinking she may be wrong.

    • chrismchone

Hey, just received my batteries. I placed on order online (8 AA energizer). I received energizers with a bonus of two per package, therefore there were 10 AA per package! Even better! Also, yesterday I made a trip to the store with my 2 babies. One of them was screaming and crying almost the entire time I was in the store. The cashier got distracted by him and forgot to ring up the stuff I had put in the tote (the top was off). I didnt realize it, even though I made a comment before I paid that the total was much less than I thought it would be. It wasnt until I got home 2 hours later and looked at the receipt that I noticed the reason why. I called the store to make sure they were still open and went back and paid for my stuff. They were all amazed that I would do that. I was amazed that they were amazed. :-)

      • seagull7

I do that, too, if I find that I ended up with something that I didn't pay for. I get funny looks and comments. also. It's a sad commentary, isn't it?

    • seagull7

You can do this online, also. Just remember to enter your Worklife Rewards card number during checkout. If you're not near a store, you can sign up online, too, I believe – or at least by calling an 800 number. (I already had my card from in-store. I have one of the old, blue “Advantage” cards, but the number is valid – I checked it online.)

I don't know how I've missed out on this deal for so long, but I'm taking advantage of it ASAP!

There is some fine print about how the value of the “free items” will reduce your “qualified purchases” amount by the retail amount of the free item, so maybe you'll lose the 10% on paper or ink/toner you've accumulated, but that's still 90%! (I don't know if that stipulation is per transaction, or if it reduces all the qualified purchases for the quarter, but either way it's a good deal for some free (minus tax) office supplies!

    • theresa

I hope its more than just two got batteries aa and aaa and the labeler. checked out online coupons put in code for free pop cooler and the 15% off both worked. spent 54 dollars and will get back 64 in rebates?

    • liz_in_SC

I just got a preview of next week's Office Depot ad. There will be 14 new items with 100% reward for the week beginning Sunday 4/18. Stay tuned for more on this promo.
