With the start of a new year comes new goals of making more money or at least saving it.  One fun way to make a little side money is doing online surveys.  There are a lot of companies offering money for surveys, but in reality not a lot that pay well or that have that many surveys.

One of the companies that I trust and have found to be reliable with surveys and payments is Opinon Outpost.  They are currently accepting new users too.

Each survey will take around 10 minutes to complete and is worth 5-20 points (100 points =$10).

Your opinions can earn you:

I just tried to sign up. I work as a nurse in a hospital but then it wanted me to put in my hospital phone for them to verify my information so I will not be doing this. I try to keep my work and home life separate. Thanks anyway Jenny for the information…

I was able to put in 000-000-0000 for the phone #. It accepted it. HTH!

I can’t get it to send me the verification email
      anyone have any luck?

Thanks for posting Jenny. The only frustrating thing I found about doing surveys is if you don’t do it as soon as they are posted and if you are of a demographic that they get a lot of (for example, Caucasian, female and 30-45) you will start the survey (and sometimes give a lot of information) and then they tell you you aren’t eligible since they already have enough people. I figure if you asked me more than the standard demographics and qualifying questions, I should get paid for my time. I sometimes would answer 20 or more questions and then get the boot. I found that because of my demographic, it just wasn’t worth it. But if you fall outside of a standard demographic (especially if you are Hispanic – which is a hot area for tracking right now), you might have more luck. But as Jenny pointed out, don’t expect to get rich off of surveys.

I have just heard from a friend about this particular survey company. She said she gets ten per day in her email and doesnt ever qualify for any of them and can’t figure out how to get off their mailing list. She seems to feel that it is looking for younger people with small children. I think I’m going to pass. At least pinecone has pre-screened and if they send you one, you are qualified.

I love pinecone surveys! I have been doing them for about a year now…

I had that problem at MyPoints, and I don’t answer their surveys anymore (still use them for other things). There shouldn’t be more than 5 “qualifying” questions, IMHO.

i’ve been apart on them for a little way now, they are great and send paypal money fast

I would not waste your time. You answer a lot of questions (thinking you are doing the survey) then never qualify to take the actual survey. I’m out with Opinion Outpost.
