        • Rachael Calloway

ohhh I get it now, I never understood why there were zips next to some coupons. thank you!

    • Anna Russell

Be very careful that you get the correct ones. I went on Wednesday about 3 hours after the store opened, and they had only one package of the correct ones. (Most of the Perdue products were still full price.) I asked the market manager and he said there were none left. Very disappointed. He could not tell me if there would be any additional ones later.

      • Kim

Thanks for sharing this Anna. I bought them this morning and after reading your post checked my receipt and realized I bought the wrong ones. I guess I will be going back to return them.

can you return frozen foods to publix w/out a problem?

          • Liz

Yes, by our guidelines you are allowed to return any item you see fit without a “problem” however do understand that any frozen/refrigerated/sub-department item that has walked out of the doors automatically has to be disposed of due to food safety regulations, which means it can’t be marked down, donated, or given away since we can’t guarantee proper temperature has been constantly made once out of our hands.

      • VP22

Mine did not have many either, maybe 7 or 8. They opened at 7 and I was there by 8:30. Lucky for me, they did have a few of the chicken strips which was what I wanted. You could go back and get a raincheck.

    • Wendy

I thought with a B1G1 you could use 2 coupons, am I wrong?

      • Christina

No, you are right, atleast in Georgia you can. IDK about Florida.

    • Nora

Can you really return frozen or cold food items…Isn’t this a problem for Publix to take it back and have to throw it away?

      • VP22

Why would they have to throw it away if it hasn’t been opened? I have purchased frozen and refrigerated items, got home, realized it was the wrong one and put it in the refrigerator or freezer until I was ready to take it back. Then took it back and exchanged it with no problem.

        • Liz

You might have exchanged it or refunded it without a problem but that is because of our customer service guidelines but any item that is frozen, refrigerated, and/or from a sub-department like produce/deli/etc is automatically not resell-able and labeled as damaged and disposed of required by law for food safety. It doesn’t matter, if it has been out of the doors two minutes or 4 hours, since we can not guarantee the item has been maintained at proper temperature or with items like bread (opened and tampered with) once out of our hands we as of result have to dispose of the product at store level…you wouldn’t want to get an item that was not properly temperature maintained would you?

          • VP22

That makes perfect sense when you explain it that way. Thank you;-}. Again, to Nora, yes you can exchange items though if you need to.

What is shamefully wasteful, however, is this: I had something at Food Lion ring up at the wrong price. When I figured out the problem I was still standing AT THE REGISTER. The cashier did refund my money, when I told her they were the wrong price, but also tossed them right into the trash can!!! They never even left the check-out!!! WASTEFUL!

          • Nora

Thank you Liz. I know what the policy is for publix but didnt think they could keep and resell returned food like that. A loss for the store is eventually a loss for the customer.
If it was my mistake, I usually bite the bullet and learn for next time.
