These deals are in the new Green Advantage Buy Flyer at Publix.  This is not a flyer to get thrilled about.  Most of the products will be much cheaper at a drugstore (think free).  There are a few good deals though.  As usual this is not the entire flyer.  Most items in the flyer we would NEVER buy at their “sale” prices.

A tip: For deals using a store coupon and a manufacturer coupon do not run out and grab them this week.  Many of these items will go on sale during the 4 week period that the coupons are good.  You want to wait until they are on sale, so go in and grab the flyer and hold tight to the coupons.

To see the deals for this week go here.

Just received the Family Style Magazine by mail (not on the mags in the store…I checked last night) and inside front cover are several Publix store coupons. One is for 35 free 4×6 prints to new and existing customers. Also one for the L’Oreal Kids shampoo or conditioner, Snyder’s Pretzels, Crunh Pak Apple Slices, $5 Off TracFone Headset and my favorite of them all, $3 off Seventh Generation 2X Ultra Concentrate liquid laudry detergent…happy stacking! All have bar codes but there is an LU number in the corner that matches the bar code number, so they are not manuf coupons. Make sure you sign up for all the mags so you can get on the direct mail list for Publix mags and coupon offers. Well worth it to have it delivered to your home. Even the clerks at the register wonder where I get these coupons!

Don’t forget the Target $2.00 off Store Coups for softsoap ensembles! Money maker, if your store still takes target coups. Exp. 8/8.

    • Tarrah R.

scratch that- wouldn’t be a money maker-just free.

    • Angela G

For the cover girl products, I found makeup sponges for $2.49, used the $2.00 off Publix coupon and $1.00 off any cover girl product and made money. You can make more money if you use the $2.50 off any 2 cover girl coupons.

    • Shannon

i couldn’t get the children’s motrin or clean and clear coupons to print. what am i doing wrong?

    • Amy

How do you use the Guiding Star FLIPS at Publix? Is it possible?

    • Just wanted to let everyone in the Simpsonville SC area know that the cashiers at the Fairview Rd store are telling EVERYONE who turns in a Target or Food Lion coupon that as of Aug 15, they will no longer take ANY competitor’s coupons other than Bi-lo, Bloom and Ingles. There are signs posted also. I asked them if this went for All Publix stores and I got a yes from 2 people, however I would not think that is correct because some stores may not have the same “competitors”. The cashier told me they are only going to take coupons from stores within 5 miles of Publix. Strangely enough, the target is practically right across the street. Oh well. This has been confirmed by MANY people. I’ve gotten numerous emails and phone calls about it today. As an added note, despite the statement in their coupon policy (that I just had emailed to me from the corporate office), the Bi-lo on Fairview Rd, right down the street from Publix DOES take competitor’s coupons. I used a Food Lion Q today and asked about it before hand and was told that they do. Just an option. :)

    • Rita,

E-mail Publix directly and get their store policy. I did and the manager called me and personally invited me and my coupons to his store.

    • tonyac3

I was wondering if someone could help me understand something’s. I am new to this coupon thing and am steady learning new things. Two questions I have. I noticed in the above posting for sure deodorant and some others that there is more than one SS or RP coupon suggested we use. I thought we could only use one MF coupon. Also, how do you all organize this sale shopping so your life doesn’t turn into a OCD for couponing. For example. I would like to shop one or two days a week. But I feel overloaded trying to get them all before the add expires. I notice I have lots of body wash right now from the cvs deal but no trash bags in the house at all and no milk. I need to learn how to continue to get what we really need every day and stock up on deals at the same time. I need to get a better plan to pull this off and still keep my prioritys in line. Any one figured this out yet :)

    • I have not quite figured that out yet either – though I am getting better. I do feel a little OC about the couponing and find I end up with good things but not ALL the things I need after a shopping trip – esp the non-groc items. Maybe a class with Jenny would help? If you find something that works let me know too!

    • Anne Marie

I am also new to this and have the same OCD issues! LOL. I have a question too. When I go to print the Dove coupons for deodorant, it says I have already printed the max number of coupons. Any suggestions. I tried on both my computers and it says the same thing.

      Thanks!

Sorry, forgot to add great post! Can’t wait to see your next post!

    • Hey Valerie. I had an “issue” with a particular cashier a few weeks ago that had to be handled and I asked for a copy of their Publix store policy. I have an email from “coorporate” Publix that says there is no store policy. The lady who emailed me said that it is always left up to the store manager of each store and that there is no policy that goes for all stores. I did get a phone call from the manager of the store I was at, however, I missed the call and he never called back. Oh well! I’m assuming that this policy is only for the Simpsonville store as of right now. When I am at the other store I go to in Mauldin, I will ask there and find out what they are doing. The girl at the Mauldin store told me a few weeks back that there was a “rumor” going around that Publix was going to quit taking all competitors’ coupons. I’ll believe it when I see it! Thanks for letting me know anyway!

    • Katie

Was told by a not-so-friendly Publix cashier the other day that Publix will be making several changes to their coupon policies on the 17th of this month. The only one she could tell me about is that they will no longer accept competitor coupons that are not actual grocery stores.

    • JennyM

How do you e-mail a particular store? I sent e-mails to the corporate office but can’t figure out how to do it to an exact store. Thanks

    • HOW DO YOU PRINT THE COUPONS WITHOUT JAVA, I CANNOT INSTALL IT? HELP

    • Linda

      tonyac3 RE: #9

Jenny lists all coupons available because different areas of the country get different coupons. It is up to us to find the best coupon from that list that we have in our coupon stash. You are right, only 1 manuf. coupon can be used. Manuf. coupons alway state on the coupon that they are a true manuf. coupon. But if your Publix has it’s own coupon available(no upc scan bar but a number on it)or if your Publix allows you to use a competitor’s store coupon you can use both coupons for one item. RE: Milk. In Florida a gallon of milk at CVS this week has a $1.00 ECB. If you have some ECB’s left from your previous visits you can buy your milk with those and get your milk (mine was $2.79.)this week. Two weeks ago I got milk for .35 a gallon at CVS! And they give you a gallon after you buy 5!

    • Linda

      tonyac3 RE: #9

I just noticed that Publix has Glad Force Flex (my favorite)trash bags
Glad Kitchen Bags or Trash Bags, 25-80 ct $5.49 ea
      there is a printable manuf. coupon for $1.00-and a $1.00 printable competitor(Target)
(if your store accepts Target coupons, use both printables makes it it $3.49)not a real great price but not bad either.

    • Kimberly

My store had Covergirl eyeliner and eye shadows on sale for 2.99. With the $2 off store coupon, and the $2.50/2 mfr coupon, I got both for free with overage!!!

    • Patty, how do you go about getting on the direct mail list for Publix. I’m also newer at this and would like to get my hands on as many coupons as possible. Thanks for your help.

    • Patty

Lisa, On the “rounder” when you come into the Publix stores, there should be a 4 part postcard sized item. The title is ‘GET PUBLIX MAGAZINES FREE!”….No Strings Attached. You can sign up for Greenwise, Family Style and Grape. Even the Grape Magazine may have coupons for food that would go with entertaining so it is not just about wine. I have found this is most stores in the Greenville SC area. Ask the Manager for it in your store. These are are always there so this is not a limited time deal. I really like being about to use these as they are store coupons and I can stack them with manuf coupons for a bigger bang for the buck.

    • thank you Patty. I really appreciate the info.

    • JEB

      Lisa,

You can also sign up for the Publix magazines on the Publix website.

    • Suzi

Was just reading all the comments and wanted to add that, I live in Central Florida and we are having the same issues with nasty clerks at Publix that are truly offended by someone handing them coupons. They wouldn’t take the Covergirl manufacturer $2.50 off of 2 combined with the store q. I was told that they were not giving anything away! I tried to explain that I would still owe them money, not very much, but it definitely was not free. She simply took the items and rudely asked me if I wanted them or not! It was an ordeal!!! She was deliberately yelling and causing a scene to garner as much attention as possible to the fact that I had coupons….like I’m some sort of dirt bag because I use coupons!!!! I haven’t been back in a Publix since. That was at the Publix in Deltona on Coutrland Blvd. The very next day, a cashier at the Deland Publix told my best friend that they were not stacking any of their q’s with manufacturer q’s. ?????? What’s up with that???

    • Kristy

Really I shop at that one in deltona all the time and I have never had a problem.

    • Lulu

Can anyone tell me what zip code to use to get the Softsoap coupon? There wasn’t one on there with my zip!
      Thanks

    • JEB

I have the receipt, the form, but am missing a Try Pert Plus for Free sticker….hmm…would they still let me get the rebate? Anyone have an extra?

    • tammy b. sc

the publix on harbison in columbia sc never has the advantage buy papers!! i ask everytime i am in there. they tell me they did not get any. u have to ask at customer service.

    • erica r.

I work at a Publix in Franklin, TN. To be honest, I really don’t mind helping people use their coupons to save and possibly get things for free. However, the cashiers that are “not so nice” are just trying to not get in trouble with management. We have to turn in all our coupons and if they see we took what they thought were too many coupons, they can sometimes get on our case. Our store officially decided that we no longer take Target, Walmart, and other chain store coupons. We do take Kroger, Harris Teeter, Whole Foods, ect. I wish we still took Target coupons (I always said if it is a grocery item, then they are a competitor, but they changed their mind and said no more Target). Sorry if some cashiers are mean, I wish they wouldn’t ruin our reputation, but most of us try to be nice and help people out!
